Stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday (Juneteenth) and was able to order right away. We had our signs with us so we asked if we could have them on the patio and they were super happy to have our dogs there. We ordered 2 angry bird sandwiches and 1 chicken strips and 1 chicken and waffles. The food came to us about 10 minutes later and was piping hot. First, the chicken fingers came nicely breaded and fried. Nothing soggy or oily. The kid ate them up and was happy. Second, the chicken and waffles were great also. Again, the chicken was not oily and the waffle was good enough to eat without any syrup. Last, the angry bird sandwich was awesome. I like this way better than any other chains chicken sandwich. The bayou sauce was a nice addition and the slaw adds some nice depth of flavor. The sandwich gets a little messy but what do you expect with all the toppings?!

Dan

Google
It was about 100 degrees outside and probably 100 degrees in the kitchen. The orders kept coming in but the girl and guy out back just kept grinding along with smiles on their faces. The other girl processing the orders was super efficient but it looked like they could use another set of hands! Even after waiting for 30 minutes and driving back to Ipswich my sandwich was phenomenal and Flip the bird is still top tier! Even at there busiest and the hottest day of the year the attention to detail didn’t drop off at all!

Caroline

Google
The food was absolutely incredible. We tried the Nashville Hot, the Angry Fries, and the OG. Nashville Hot has the perfect amount of subtle heat, not overwhelming at all. Real chicken, quality ingredients. We were visiting from out of state, so I'm sad we can't go more often.

Google
I got wind of this place through Phantom Gourmet, and I figured I'd give them a shot. The chicken was fantastic, as well as the Biscuits! I would come back just for those. I also had the Loaded fries, while they were good, they weren't a bomb as the biscuits or chicken sandwiches. They have lots of options, and it was packed. Be ready to wait 20-30 minutes if it's busy. I waited 35 minutes. It was worth it though. My only critique, is they should have a dedicated person to clean tables and sweep the floors. They were in need of a scrub. I'd be back when I'm in the area.

Google
Flip The Bird in Beverly is my go-to for amazing fried chicken. The sandwiches are packed with flavor (I’m obsessed with The OG) and the fries with the bayou sauce OMG the best. The food’s always fresh, the staff is friendly, and the vibe is great. Can’t recommend it enough!

Google
I ordered online and it was delayed and we had to wait an extra 20 minutes. I spoke to the manager though and they comped my meal. They still provided the food as quickly as they could and they turned what could have been a negative experience into something positive. As always the food was delicious. We love this place and will definitely continue to go there.

Google
High quality that makes sense of the price tag. Operates like a fast food service and atmosphere, but the food quality is far elevated. Be warned that HOT means HOT. No pansies dictating the scovilles. Consider ordering a menu item rather than build your own for fantastic flavor combinations and better bang for your buck.

Jason Deugenio

Google
Fantastic chicken sandwiches. We had four different ones and everyone loved theirs. Mine was the angry bird with truffle ketchup for the fries (in the picture). They have lots of cool sauce options to choose from.

Sharon C.

Yelp
The chicken was perfectly cooked and the fries fantastic! Had the buff chick! Slaw was awesome

Annika M.

Yelp
Best fried chicken sandwiches around! They'd get a 6 from me if there was a heat level between Angry and Cry (come on, guys, you know Cry is ridiculous; give us an extra-hot that isn't designed for Evil).

Brandi B.

Yelp
I ordered food from them and whoever bagged my order put the drink in the bag but they didn't secure the lid so when my food got delivered my sandwich was sitting in a pool of Diet Coke. Why would you put a fountain drink in a cup and then in a bag and staple it shut? The lid has a hole in it for the straw, like come on now.

Dan S.

Yelp
When FTB first opened, they were on a planet of greatness all alone. Amazing Huge crispy patties. Angry Birds/OG were STUPENDOUS for years. Unfortunately now half the time they serve soggy mushy garbage. Pretty much out of our takeout rotation. :( Sorry.

Luce C.

Yelp
Everything , food was great, service was incredible , cleaned and always good people

Kathleen S.

Yelp
Excellent fried chicken Very helpful staff Fun selections Reasonable prices, good value

Ryan M.

Yelp
ordered through normally but accidentally ordered from Woburn, I let them know within 5 minutes of my order and the policy is they only give you 50% if your order incorrectly on top of charging full price at the correct store. Trumpanomics if I've ever heard it. I'll never go back and I'll never recommend flip the bird again. Theyll be irrelevant in 5 years anyway

D B.

Yelp
Overall very good limited menu but fun food great French fries and frappes. Easy ordering from the Toast app. Recommend the salad and black and white frappe.

Marni M.

Yelp
Now that I work near their two Beverly locations, this family owned business has warmed itself up to me. My go-to sandwich is the PCH as it comes with avocado, bacon, and a fennel apple Cole slaw. When picked up straight from their kitchen, it hits all my taste buds and is even better with the truffle ketchup and French fries. I also tried their mini biscuits which sounded like a good idea but quickly cooled down and dried out. Milk shakes are great but very calorie dense for those who may be watching their waistline. Overall, my coworkers and I look forward to further supporting this establishment as they continue to open more locations across the north shore.

John H.

Yelp
A lot of money for an overcooked, undersized sandwich. Chicken was like leather, and the woman at the counter was doing everyone a huge favor. Never going back.

John L.

Yelp
It's just a chicken sandwich - BFD. But the angry bird is the best thing about boring Beverly and might be the ONLY thing with actual flavor in this ultra white suburban blight of north shore living. The restaurant ain't much- just a fast food vibe. Not designed to be comfortable- or keep you there to order more food - it's actually designed to do the opposite. But so what. Best chickie sandwich in the Bev. Hands down.

Ernest S.

Yelp
These sandwiches are thick and juicy. The chicken is cooked subbed and so is the bread coating also, you could have any condiment that you want. Give it a try. I think you'll like it.

Timothy A.

Yelp
Best chicken sandwich on the north shore! Try all the varieties for a real taste treat!

Becki W.

Yelp
Chicken sandwich was really good. Fries were average, Oreo shake was good, and the mini biscuits were delicious. Wish there was a little more indoor seating with comfortable temperature. AC was on, but it was really HOT inside (strangely, the restroom temperature was frigid!).

Reid D.

Yelp
My friend Oliver likes flip the bird. He like the chicken and most importantly the servers. He thinks there is excellent customer service.

Linda G.

Yelp
We have been going to the Bird for a few years now. Hubby and son love it. IF you love fried chicken breast sandwich THEN there is nothing better. And the ribs rock, too. Wow. If that is not your thing, do not go. They have no opened other locations, and still have great food that is consistent. Super place to get take out so you don't need to cook. Their staff is great. Try it out. Need to upgrade my ratings.

Victor S.

Yelp
Crispy chicken if you don't like it then you are a monster! Service is as good as any other fast food restaurant without a drive though except way faster so yes the service is good. I don't know what yelp means by ambiance but if it's talking about the ambience, I'm thinking of don't go at rush-hour! It's a very nice place and the food is absolutely delicious. Please come here if you want to ascend.

Yelp
Honestly one of the worst chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Every single component of this sandwich is bottom barrel. Smothered in sauce you won't be able to distinguish the chicken at all. Maybe that's a good thing bc these are those massive cheap chicken breasts injected with tons of growth hormone. The crisp is stale and obvious that it was fried hours earlier or the previous day. The bread is way too thick. It's just really trashy, don't do it. Highly doubt this place can stay in business.

Jess M.

Yelp
I cannot figure out how this place manages to get their crispy chicken to consistently crunch and be perfectly seasoned. I love that their batter sort of sizzles in your mouth without burning your mouth and the oil sort of wets your lips allowing the flavor to linger. The staff is always pleasant and patient and eager to ensure you are ordering exactly what you want. I also love the vibe in the shop, almost projecting me back to my college days. Almost feels like there should be a mic and a kid with long curls devoting poetry with a plate of their incredible angry fries beside him and an Izzy in hand :)

Mary M.

Yelp
Yep, this is definitely a fast-food spot but their chicken is incredible! I order just chicken - no bread or embellishments - just chicken... and it's FAB!

Meghan B.

Yelp
My fiance and I really enjoyed our meals here. I had the PCH chicken sandwich and he had the OG. We also had some fries on the side. It was very fresh and very flavorful. Service was quick and kind. Win win win!

Pascal S.

Yelp
Tried them 4 times! Twice in Beverly twice in Danvers location! The chicken sandwiches were dry and tasteless the fries so salty I could not eat them! I don't like posting bad reviews but I honestly don't see why people rave about this place ! I prefer chick fil a

Yelp
Atmosphere - N/A Service - N/A Food - 5 Value - 5 I come here every time I'm in the Boston area, and I'm convinced this is one of the best chicken sandwich places on the east coast. I didn't get a milkshake this time but my goodness those are a treat too. The Angry Bird is certainly not for the faint of heart, and its heat shouldn't be underestimated. However, it's a great balance of heat and flavor to create a fantastic spicy chicken sandwich. The chicken breast is breaded well and it's actually spicy unlike other supposedly spicy sandwiches. On the other hand, if you really want something to challenge your tastebuds and bravery, you can give the Cry Bird a try. Interestingly enough, the initial bite is great. You can taste the wonderful pepper jam along with a crispy chicken breast for a few seconds. Then it hits you like a truck and leaves you reeling for nearly 30 min. Huge word of caution - be prepared to feel the pain. Almost guaranteed you will cry as the ghost pepper stings and burns your throat, mouth, and tongue in a merciless onslaught of heat. That's definitely gonna be a once-in-a-blue-moon experience for me. Can't wait for my next visit! Love this place!

T M.

Yelp
Finally tried Flip The Bird after hearing lots of good things and, boy was everyone right...Best chicken sandwich I've had in years. For me, the chicken was perfect and the ranch and pickles on the OG just made the best toppings. Ill definitely be back to try their other sandwiches but if you're in the area looking for a great chicken sandwich you can't miss this place. Friendly staff too.

Yelp
Stopped by here for a treat I don't typically indulge in: french fries. I ended up ordering a Crispy Chicken sandwich with lettuce & tomato, which I found the chicken to be in the dry-side. Not because it didn't have sauce, but the chicken itself was pretty dry. I could only finish half of it. Not as good as Chick-fil-A. I avoid meat for the most part, but I allow myself a few cheat meals during the year, and I regretted this being one of them. The french fries were better than your typical fast food joint, although they were soft & a little soggy. I would have liked them to be crispier, especially since I ate them no more than 5 minutes from out the door. Their chocolate shake was the best part, but they use Richardson's ice cream, so of course it was. I have a sensitive stomach, so I felt horrible after I ate this meal for a good 48 hours. I didn't eat anything out of my typical diet other than this, so I can't definitively say it was this meal, but I don't see where else I would have gotten those excruciating side effects and pain from. I'd caution others with food sensitivities in eating here, of course, but I didn't think one meal would effect me so much. Unfortunately this is not on my list of places to return to.

Herb Z.

Yelp
I was hungry and came back. I thought I stepped in ANTIFA headquarters. Those prices for a chicken sandwich?

Rock F.

Yelp
Chicken sandwich was pretty good although the bun was hard as a rock. Almost didn't want to eat it after I witnessed the guy making the sandwich handling his dirty mobile phone with the same ungloved hands he's making sandwiches with. For $22 expected more.

Susan S.

Yelp
Fantastic chicken sandwiches. Fun menu . Be careful tho with your level of spice tolerance. These sandwiches are simply decadent.. so good

Mike C.

Yelp
Stopped in today to get a couple salads and an Angry Bird for the family. They were moderately busy and I waited about 15 minutes when the salads were put up on the counter and then another 12 minutes of watching the lettuce wilt. I asked to cancel the order and explained why. Response was "you don't have to be rude!" Rude? Who wants to pay $50 for soggy lettuce. I'm done with this place.

Ashley S.

Yelp
Counter service A+ Food A- Value A- Atmosphere C I walked in unsure what I wanted to order. The girl at the counter saw this and immediately started describing the different chicken dishes selling the perks to each one and explaining spice level. She did an awesome job of making sure I ordered everything I wanted. I got the OG chicken sandwich, and it was perfect! Tender moist chicken. Good crunch coating. Bun and sauce had appropriate ratio. The pickles were half sour so they added the right amount of flavor without being overwhelming. Fairly priced at $7 The biscuits, dang these things are huge! Fabulous texture of crunchy and soft, not too crumbly. Buttery and salty mmm The broccoli salad should not be called broccoli salad. It was more bell pepper than anything else. All the veggies were crunchy and fresh and flavorful. Unsure the point of the dressing as I could not taste anything additional over the fresh vegetables. Good, but overpriced for portion size at $5 The atmosphere has room for improvement. It doesn't feel inviting. The music was far louder than it needed to be for 2pm at a chicken restaurant, which was actually fine since the employees were largely standing around talking about things I dont need to hear. Seating is still basic with stools at the counter in the window. I'll happily go back and take my food to go!

Lisa B.

Yelp
WOW what a great addition to Beverly food options. My friends and I stopped by on a Saturday night, and got the OG, the PCH, the Early Bird and the Angry Bird. All were great, each with a creative twist. The OG- just chicken, ranch and pickles. I usually don't even like pickles, but man these were such fresh pickled cucumbers that it really completed the sandwhich PCH- avocado, bacon, and coleslaw. Warning: can be really messy but SO worth it The Early Bird- Over easy egg, cheese and chicken. Tasted kinda like a breakfast sandwich, also messy, but also worth it. Honey butter was a surprise twist, but kinda tasted like maple syrup Angry Bird- VERY spicy, but yummy crunch of veggies on it if that is your vibe LAST important thing to mention: the bayou sauce was ah May zing. Please get yourself some to dip those fries in

Gabriel F.

Yelp
Crunchy and slightly sweet. I tried this place for the first time today. Had myself a Nashville Hot. The chicken was crunchy and moist, the chow-chow (pickled veggie relish with a kick) was slightly sweet, slightly hot, and pleasantly crunchy, and the bayou sauce was sweet, hot, and delicious. The sandwich had a fresh crunchy satisfying taste that was a big step up from fast food chicken sandwiches like Popeye's or Chick-fil-A. Give this place a chance next time you're in the area and craving a GOOD chicken sandwich.

Munkie F.

Yelp
A friend introduced me to it and I've been twice. Found it's okay. Heard a couple of stories and haven't been since. Will give another try.

Lnae M.

Yelp
I love to make my own chicken sandwiches, but sometimes the chicken is super tough and its not as consistent as I would like it to be. They also cant make them well done if you ask. Service is okay.

Kate P.

Yelp
This place lived up to its hype! I thought people were overacting when it came to how good their chicken sandwiches were. You can order online easily for pickup and the staff is always super cheerful and nice. I've tried a few of their sandwiches and keep going back to their OG one -- sometimes I crave it. Skip Chick-fil-A and head to flip the bird. You won't be disappointed!

Jared S.

Yelp
Great Sandwiches, always crispy, always spicy and the service is always fast even when they're slammed.

Brian B.

Yelp
Listen- best chicken sandwich, anywhere. Fries with dipping sauce. Always comes out on time. Great people and service.

Quinten U.

Yelp
the most delicious morsel I have ever tasted hails from none other than flip the bird on Cabot street bev. The GM Thomas is factually the coolest dude you'll ever run into. -Q

Sj M.

Yelp
It's really good chicken and sides, but it's not fast (15-20 min wait) and can get very pricey quickly! It's filling. Don't over-order. I was especially happy with the chicken fingers that I ordered. The fries were also really good.

Carolyn P.

Yelp
I know most of Beverly loves Flip the bird. I'm in the odd minority that doesn't get the hype. We are here tonight & the biscuits were severely over cooked. Essentially we were given biscuit hockey pucks. I get restaurants are short staffed/supply costs have increased etc, but there is zero excuse for burnt food. The sandwiches were okay but not spectacular. The one plus were the pickles. Those were delicious as was the ranch dressing.

Becca C.

Yelp
The food: amazing. Shakes are good, sandwiches even better! I've been coming here since I was in college and have never been disappointed. Excited to try the rest kitchen!

Samantha S.

Yelp
Love FTB! Drove back to my old stomping grounds (Beverly) for a surgical consult last week and the first place I thought of to grab a bite was FTB. I always get the Nashville and it's delicious. I also had a side of fries with garlic aioli. So good! Very happy that FTB continues to be successful!

Casey S.

Yelp
Food was good, service wasn't the best. Watched the kitchen staff sit in the back on their phones while our ticket just sat there. Took way too long for a couple chicken sandwiches.

J. B.

Yelp
Couldn't be better. The fact that this place is locally and family owned is the cherry on top. The sandwich is just perfectly executed and constructed. I had the Angry Bird, which was delicious and hot; I can't wait to come back for the hotter one. The sides and sauces are all incredible, and clearly homemade. For them to put all that time in, and for it to still be offered at a reasonable price, is doing God's work.

Shianne B.

Yelp
Expensive .. but I started with this place when they were just a small cafe in the cumming center and their signature sandwich caused chaos because it was so good ... that's where flip the bird was born ... amazing food

Bianca F.

Yelp
Soo happy we ate here today. Hands down best chicken sandwich I've had in such a long time ! They're being wicked safe and careful which is much appreciated during these times. The pasta salad was amazing and holy crap the biscuits are huge and delicious!!! I'll be coming back very soon !

Roy T.

Yelp
Popeye's, KFC the rest should just go sit down. Flip the Bird has won the Chicken Sandwich War. You can't go wrong with the O.G. The Nashville Hot is an amazing ask. I have never been disappointed by their fries. Going in on the Weekends for the Chicken and Waffles is a MUST. The chicken is fresh, hand breaded and crispy. OH, and the Biscuit option on the sandwich? AMAZING. We go to the Swampscott Location. Again, and again, and again.

Jessica B.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped here for take out during quarantine. I got the angry bird chicken sandwich. It had a good level of spice and I liked the slaw on top to balance out the flavors. Overall I enjoyed it, but I've had better fried chicken sandwiches. My husband got the chicken and waffles which came dry as a bone with nothing on it even though the menu says they are drizzled with hot honey sauce. He had to go back to ask for sauce and utensils. I would recommend sticking with the sandwiches at this place if you're looking for a quick bite to eat, but there are better options out there in my opinion.

Heidi P.

Yelp
Love the OG! Dripping with, what seems like tzatziki sauce, pickles, chicken, and a delicious bun!
