Countless hours of late night studying and coffee drinking have allowed me to become acquainted with this wonderful coffee shop. The brewed coffee and espresso drinks are good and the food is wonderful, featuring some of the best foods from local businesses around town. Come to Flipnotics with friends or to study at one of the many outdoor or indoor tables.

Pretty good coffee place but for some reason their ice machine always seems to be broken! Not the best place to study because of the requency of live music but definitely a nice hang out spot if you are in the area. The staff is usually pretty nice and accomodating also.

A Barton Springs staple. Open mic nights, live music, great coffee and a wonderful atmosphere put this high on the list of coffee shops in town. It's a good place to go with friends or just to sit and people watch.

best local coffeeshop in south austin. has live music schedule every week. on a great day no better place to people watch and enjoy the patio weather. also have a great beer and wine selection and wonderful empanadas! local favorite and hasn't lost it's charm.

It was a really cool place to just hang out! the coffee was alright the staff was kind of rude but the people who loitered outside that hung out there on the back patio were really rad and you could find a seat next to somebody who had a good story to tell and would share what they had even if they were broke they would have a smile on their face and maybe a joint to pass around

Flipnotics has pretty bad lattes, but a really nice outdoor seating area so it's a trade off. Usually there are a group of street kids sitting at one of the tables outside, but they generally keep to themselves outside of asking to bum cigarettes. It's not one of my favorites, but I go time to time especially because the location is convenient.

I love the outdoor seating and the live music that is almost always playing! I love to go here and sit outside and hang out, but I would say you are not always greeted by the friendliest of folk at the counter, but it's not enough to prevent me from going to grab a cup of joe!

When I was in school I loved to go study here until one time I got harassed by a man that I'm pretty sure was homeless. He sat right next to me and started talking to me despite my efforts to make it apparent to him that I was not interested and that I was trying to study. It didn't make the experience enjoyable at all. I love the location and the place itself but they should monitor for creeps wandering in to harass people.
