I recently discovered a truly wonderful spot inside the Loyal Legion! It's a sophisticated bar with a delightful ambiance. They offer a selection of truly original cocktails that are a pleasant surprise for the palate. I was so impressed with the creativity and quality. It's definitely worth a visit if you're looking for something new and exciting. Highly recommend checking out this hidden gem!

Google
Had a lovely date night here. Staff was very nice. It’s a speakeasy vibe, you go in through the front door of Loyal Legion and tell the bartender, they will take you through an entrance door and it’s a separate door to exit. I accidentally left my water bottle at the bar of Loyal Legion and they went and brought it back for me which was much appreciated. The drinks were thoughtfully crafted and delicious. We stayed longer and spent more than we planned because we were having such a nice time. A side note, having recently moved to Beaverton from a college town, can I just say it is SO nice not being treated like a criminal for simply carrying a water bottle?! I live walking distance and I like to stay hydrated. Thanks for not assuming the worst of us. Classy establishment. 5 stars.

Google
What a fun speakeasy! The quality of drinks was great and hoping they continue to retain their quality. It has small plate size food options to accompany their drinks.

Google
Really disappointed. The overall experience is the opposite from a Speakeasy. The vibe was judgy and legalistic. Not fun and free. The bar staff at Loyal Legions wouldn’t make eye contact to even recognize reservations. Upstairs was uptight. With that said, the cocktail and German beer selection was on point. It’s too bad. I’d rather drive to Bible Club in Sellwood.

Google
Hidden overlooking Loyal Legion in Beaverton. The space is intimate and exclusive. Little if anything is shared between the menus of Loyal Legion and Flora and the cocktails are somewhat exotic. My advice, is get a reservation and don't got to Flora to eat as the food menu is very limited. It is a great place to meet a group, get a cocktail and enjoy a conversation. Don't plan on watching a game as there is no TV's. I don't think there are enough spaces like this in our world, enjoy it when you find it.

Google
What a cool experience! I didn’t make a reservation and arrived at around 9:30 PM on a Thursday. The entrance is through Loyal Legion. We were able to go right up with what felt like VIP status as the waitress took us behind the bar and up the secret door to Flora. The space is dark and intimate, offering upscale cocktails and snack platters. Bring your visitors here if you want to wow them with a really cool place!

Google
I'm glad another reviewer mentioned the classic Portland speakeasy "Pepe Le Moko" since we hoped Flora would be something similar but we found it was very disappointing. We did find that the drinks (when we finally got them) were quite inventive and good. Otherwise, this small space is dark and noisy with many people crammed into tiny tables. And the service was terrible! To begin, there is no information on how to get to this speakeasy. We had to flag someone down at the Loyal Legion bar and ask. We were told to talk to their manager (whoever that was). Another couple appeared at the same time as the manager, so they were seated immediately. When the manager came back downstairs, he looked at us with a "what?" look. We explained that we had a reservation and we were brought upstairs and seated. (Speakeasys typically feel special/secret. This felt like we were the new kitchen help trying to report for work.) At that point, we started reviewing the menu of drinks. We had no food menu. 20 minutes passed. The 1 server got drinks going for the couple that was seated before us. He took care of all the other tables. He did a great job of clearing tables as people left. We were invisible. Zero eye contact. Perhaps because we were over the age of 30? We looked pretty hip but maybe he didn't want to serve us. Eventually, I had to ask him directly if we could order. He spun around with an ice-cold look at asked what we wanted. Just terrible customer service. Awful. We drank our drinks and left. We won't be back.

Google
Reservation only. Enter through Loyal Legion and let a bartender know you’re there for Flora so they can take you upstairs. The cocktails were decent, and it’s a cute little area overlooking Loyal Legion. I was impressed that they were able to keep it quiet despite the noise downstairs. I also liked that they don’t make you feel rushed out the door as soon as you finish your drinks. My only complaint was the price - you should expect to spend $14-16 per cocktail. Maybe I ordered wrong, but the drinks I tried didn’t seem worth $16.

Yelp
What an amazing little gem! We were so lucky to be able to walk in and get a spot, usually you have to make reservations. The cocktails are amazing and hard to pick from as they all sound good. The small plates of nibbles are good, but limited selection. The atmosphere is very speakeasy-vine with dark colors, low light, and small tables. Totally worth the visit and I would gladly go back.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute spot! Our drinks were very delicious and the staff was very kind and helpful making decisions. It's definitely a dark atmosphere whether you were sitting or using the restroom. There is warm, dim lighting all around and the walls have fun wallpaper design well good tunes are in the background. The only thing I would know is that you do need to make a reservation and I believe there may be a few food options, but not anything you can order from downstairs. Super cute. Would love to go back and hang out in the space some more!

Yelp
Age and cocktails should never be counted! We snuck in to get a drink each and ended up having a few and well I can't blame us since the place is so fantastic. Its one of those open secret speakeasies and I had known about it for a few years now, but never actually made it until one quiet Thursday evening. Surprisingly they had open space and were able to accommodate our walk-in. We were seated at the bar where we were able to see them create the magic. Both the bartenders were friendly and made some mean drinks. The drinks were well balanced and boozy and every flavor described in the menu came through. The vibe is cozy and it seems like a perfect spot for a date night or to hang out with a small group.

Yelp
I'm giving this place a 3.5. I don't know why, but I was left wanting more. It's a small space, dimly lit with a nice wallpaper. One of the bartenders downstairs will let you upstairs once you ask. The service was great. The fries were good. My mocktails were quite spendy, at $15 each. And they were small. One of them, the glass wasn't fully filled even (as shown in the picture). They were okay. I recommend making reservations, but you do have to put down a card and will be charged if you cancel or adjust less than 24 hours in advance. You cannot order from downstairs at Loyal Legion which has a larger menu. They only have 5-6 things on their small bites menu and not everyone may be interested in them. Overall, I probably won't be back but I'm glad I experienced it and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the place, I just wasn't wowed compared to the other two Loyal Legion speakeasies. Aurora is stunning and Voysey is eclectic. This one didn't really seem to have a distinct personality.

Yelp
Wowzer....Finally had a chance to check out this hidden gem speak easy above Loyal Legion!! Small space with amazing decor with special cocktails and small food menu but definitely a must try!! Staff were super accommodating and great vibes and definitely highly recommended!!

Siva M.

Yelp
Service: the staff are extremely rude. We aren't there by their charity. We are paying customers. Don't go there if you want to celebrate and you are a big group. The interactions with staff who was supposed to let us in ruined the entire evening.
google avatar

Rachel D.

Yelp
Very cute Hidden little gem, right above a larger more likes fancy sports bar type place. it's very cozy. Inside, staff was attentive. We got to sit at the bar and some we're still learning the drinks which was fun to watch and see. Drinks were very pretty and quite tasty.

Yelp
I finally got to have the Flora experience! This is a speakeasy upstairs within the Loyal Legion. Make sure to get your reservations in early! Also you have 90 minutes to enjoy your time here with a reservation. You walk all the way to the back and someone will check your group in and check your ID. Then through the winding staircase you reach the top to this dim-lit intimate space with very limited seating. It was a girls night for me out for drinks but this is an amazing spot for date night! Service was fast and friendly and the drinks all looked very interesting and on par with cocktail prices everywhere. Their menu does change but I'm sure they have some staples. But wow how pretty are the drinks! The Staycation is on the mock tail menu but you can add alcohol to it (our waitress suggested rum) and I got the Opal which tasted like an upscale strawberry daiquiri to me and someone else ordered the Flora Fashioned. The exclusivity, the drinks, the vibes, the service, but most important the company you bring here made this a night to remember!
google avatar

Kiley Corrina V.

Yelp
This spot is so cute and cozy! I am in love with the wallpaper and ambiance! Their drinks are crafted well, though I will say if you don't like to taste your alcohol you may want to stay downstairs at that bar. I don't know that the drinks are strong, but they're not fruity or hiding the alcohol taste. It is dark inside, so if your coming with someone who is elderly or needs help reading menu's anyway you'll definitely need to help them here. They offer snack foods not meals, and you do need a reservation. I highly recommend the place, I've been three times now and they keep improving!

Yelp
Love the vibes of this place. Pretty tiny and quaint but cute decor and dim, but adequate, lighting. A handful of drinks on the menu and you can choose nuts or pretzels for snacks with your cocktails. Service was not super attentive but not so much where it was a problem. The only drawback from our visit was the place had a lingering vomit smell. That definitely took away from our experience.

Yelp
Nothing better to celebrate a birthday than a secret speakeasy bar with a beautiful setting! Booked reservations online (put credit card down for charging in case you don't show). Let the bartender at Loyal Legion know your name to check in and be let upstairs with a door code. The service was so friendly and made us feel like we were in a special club. The drinks were immaculate! So complex and variety to pick from. We got the charcuterie board as we still had dinner plans afterwards and it was the perfect amount and paired well with our drinks. The seasonal depression cocktail they fresh smoked a spring of rosemary to set on top still warm. These little touches made it fun! It has its own bathroom upstairs and you enter out back into the alley for a true speakeasy feel. Would definitely go back for a special occasion or date night!
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
What a delight to find this darling place, the bartender makes wonderful cocktails. A perfect way to celebrate, nice snacks, great charcuterie plate, cozy, intimate and love that you have to work a little to find it.

Yelp
Grabbed a drink with a girlfriend and Flora offers such a cool factor with its secret speakeasy vibe. Reservations are required and I made them just 2 days before so it easy and convenient. Our wait staff was super knowledgeable went through each the drinks and answered all our questions. They offer small appetizers now like a charcuterie which is great considering the first time I came they didn't really serve food. The decor is moody, lights are low and bar is fully stocked. Seating is minimal. Definitely worth a visit!
google avatar

Glenda D.

Yelp
Hidden chic speakeasy. Energetic vibes with delicious drinks check! I had the Martini di cafe and my goodness it was delicious! Definitely try this if you enjoy a good espresso martini or coffee based cocktails. Our server was also very friendly and helpful. Make reserves if you are thinking about coming here. They also have some small bites you can order.
google avatar

Yelp
Drinks are always interesting and complex... haven't been in awhile BUT so happy they have more food options! This is a dark and cozy small space perfect for 2 people... 4 maybe... not recommend for large parties IMO

Yelp
Ok I don't usually do reviews while I am at a place. I usually do them after I have been away for a while to reflect a bit on my experience. Hands down just an F'n cool place in Beaverton!!! Yes I said Beaverton!!! The side city to Portland that has been blah for years has recently exploded with great restaurants and bars and helped us Westside folks enjoy the local life of good places to go without crossing one of many bridges to the Eastside. The place is upstairs in the Loyal Legion behind an unmarked and locked door, kind of a mystery to speak. Fun and exciting to say the least. Reservation Only, you cannot just walk right in. You need to go to their website and reserve your spot. Inside it is dark and quiet and lots of room to hang with others making it a very intimate place. The drink menu is fantastic, with so many cool creative drinks to choose from, some with a twist of the original. Employees are super friendly and because of the small space, they attend to you but are not harassed. Bottom line: bring your significant other and have a nice time drinking some cool drinks. Cheers!

Monique L.

Yelp
What a great experience you will never want to go to loyal legion part of the establishment. The experience we got was amazing . We were the only ones there felt very VIP and romantic. The bartender was the best bartender i have ever encountered. His drinks were fire and his service was amaculate. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Great cocktail assortment & service. Our waitress was attentive and super friendly. Favorites were the Martini Di Cafe & the Jade Garden. We had a group of 6 and arrived on time to our reservation. Need to make a reservation beforehand. The speakeasy bar is upstairs and you need to be escorted up to get in. We checked in with the bartenders downstairs and unfortunately had to wait for it felt like a while. We truly felt we were in the way waiting since the restaurant/bar was a little busy. We were huddled together in the corner of the bar. Modern, unique atmosphere. We were intrigued by the wallpaper. Very dim, intimate space providing a cool vibe. Loved how the drinks were presented. Would recommend visiting!
google avatar

Jazz A.

Yelp
The concept is really cool, however, the execution is slightly lacking. It doesn't really have a speakeasy vibe, BUT the space is much quieter and more intimate than downstairs, which I really enjoyed. The drinks upstairs were really enjoyable, I will suggest the espresso martini. I think this space could be revamped and made into a more speakeasy type of atmosphere. I would stay still worth visiting if you're curious about the process, and you would like a more private quiet place to enjoy a beverage.. You also need a reservation for this space so make sure to get one in advance.
google avatar

Rheanna A.

Yelp
This place is great! The drinks were all fantastic. This was my favorite version of an espresso martini. The chai was so interesting and delicious. Service was great. Our server was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cool spot that makes you feel like you have snuck away to a se try place no one knows about. Behind a locked door & up a dark staircase you'll find this hidden treasure. Highly recommend making a reservation! They don't have food options but they don't need it. This is a craft cocktail bar serving some of the best drinks I have ever had. I could never pick a favorite. Everything we tried was A++
google avatar

Frank C.

Yelp
Such a cool place! In the Secret Bar tradition. You'll need a reservation on Tock. But no secret password ;). Cocktails are a work of Art. Bartenders are top-notch and a joy to talk with. Small and intimate. It's a great spot for a late-night, quiet date (mid-week).

Dawne H.

Yelp
Love this place. It's super cute inside, nicely crafted cocktails that are fun but not pretentious. It's a dimly lit moody vibe inside perfect for a date night. Only bummer is no food. (Aside from a small snack like nuts or pretzels) Also as a note. This is a small intimate place not for big parties and space is limited so try and make a reservation.

Willa J.

Yelp
Delicious drinks and fun experience! If anything was a little noisy, but we still enjoyed ourselves. Service was personable.
google avatar

Lisa H.

Yelp
What a great addition to Beaverton! Impressively executed given the labor shortage. We were seated exactly at our reservation time, server was friendly and informative. Great vibe and decor. The cocktails were fresh, zesty, and beautiful. I'm a sucker for a hidden entrance and hidden exit
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
What Beaverton needed, was a secret speakeasy. And now we have one, with Flora. Easy to make a reservation online. Once arrived, we checked with a bartender and were let in behind a locked door. Upstairs, we found a well-appointed lounge, with a full bar and little windows looking down on the restaurant below. Service was prompt, and the drink selection interesting and covering all tastes. We had 5 different concoctions, each different and in some ways, better than the one before. No 'nibbles' so pace yourself and make sure to plan accordingly. Prices were what you should expect for a quality crafted cocktail. I imagine they will only get better and more creative as time passes. We will be back.
google avatar

Todd M.

Yelp
A must-visit speakeasy hidden inside the Loyal Legion Beer Hall. It feels very cool to walk through the nondescript door at the back of the bar and go up a flight of stairs into a comfortable, intimate and very stylish space that serves incredibly bespoke cocktails. The drinks are amazing. Some are staples, some are seasonal, all are delicious. It's a small space so it doesn't get too loud and it's fun to peek through the windows to see the unsuspecting drinkers in the beer hall below. You'll for sure need a reservation and it'll be for sure worth it!
google avatar

Charlie T.

Yelp
A small speakeasy that is located upstairs on the Loyal Legion on the westside. I believe it's on limited hours and will need a reservation to get in. The place is a more smaller and intimate spot with a curated cocktail menu. The drinks that we tried were all pretty good and our waitress was super nice and quick with our drinks. It's a cool place to sit and have a conversation while sipping on some good cocktails.
google avatar

Yasaman E.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday around 9 pm (with reservation) - perhaps more of 4.5 stars only because we weren't aware there was no way to get in a food or snack order Service was on point and ambience was what you expect from a proper mixology/speak easy Great addition to an unfortunately limited upscale cocktail scene in Portland.
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
Cocktails at Flora were absolutely amazing. I got a matcha based one which was complex and not too overpowered by the matcha. It was a great night of entertainment to sit at the bar and watch the bartenders mix up their fantastic cocktails. I would come back in an instant. For reservations, you have to make one online and then talk to the server at the end of the Loyal Legion bar to get in the door and go up the stairs. It's a fun experience if you are stuck in the burbs and can't make it to Portland proper. The AC is on strong, which is a plus too! Prepare to have a couple great drinks and then get food nearby as they don't serve food (Top Burmese is a great choice!)

Kendra V.

Yelp
Fun spot to come and catch up with friends or even a nice a place to take a date ! Highly recommend checking out !
google avatar

Melissa R.

Yelp
The drinks here are some of the best I've had! I ordered three (don't judge) and typically if I order that many it's because I don't like one, so I have to order another. This was not the case at Flora. Every drink I had was so good that I wanted to try another and I had to stop at three. But I'll be coming back to try the others on the menu, that's for sure. Although the bar is tiny and noisy, it's a great place to check out. They don't have food, so if you're hungry make sure you eat before visiting. You'll need reservations, as well. Since it's such a tiny place, you really can't sit and chit chat for too long if they have other people with reservations following yours. I'll definitely be visiting Flora again soon. It's nice that there's an option for amazing drinks that doesn't require driving to Portland.
google avatar

Jodi M.

Yelp
What a fun addition to the hopping bar scene in Beaverton. Make a reservation now for next weekend. The staff is knowledgeable and happy to share their love of these unique concoctions. If you love a good Manhattan you will love the Flora version called Watson Avenue. Like a good gin drink? Got you covered with Gin Mare. Don't come hungry or enjoy a drink before strolling to any of the fabulous choices like loyal legion downstairs or Ex Novo across the street.
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
Such a wonderful spot for a date or a celebration. We had a great time! Beautifully decorated, quiet, and intimate. Our server was kind and friendly, and provided the perfect amount of attention. The drinks were delicious and innovative. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Mariko K.

Yelp
Hard to believe this is in Beaverton, it's too cool for school. Love the dark/moody space, with hipster wallpaper/curtains, and a carefully curated cocktail list. The staff are super friendly and attentive. I got the Flora Fashioned, a great go-to, and the Watson Ave, which was complex. Highly recommend! Reservation only, which is only done online through Tock.
google avatar

Julie L.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Flora and it was awesome. Great drinks. Great service. Great atmosphere. I can't wait to go back!

Margaux H.

Yelp
I have been waiting for the perfect time to go to Flora and finally got a reservation in! Plan ahead you will almost always need a reservation. Discretely located upstairs from Loyal Legion, you feel like a VIP being let into a door at the back of the bar by a manager. The menu is small but fierce. Things to be aware of - it gets loud, the space and tables are small so not the best for games, you will hear the cocktail shaker almost non stop!
google avatar

Maria V.

Yelp
I actually love this bar. It's like a hidden but not so hidden secret. You have to make reservations to go in. My one gripe about it is that the staff is always busy so it can be difficult to get the attention of staff to let you in. There is no food in the bar but you can get food beforehand downstairs or around the other businesses. Ambience is very nice and dark. It's quiet but also kind of noisy at the same time but felt very intimate. The drinks were delectable. They tend to rotate drinks.
google avatar

Shannon S.

Yelp
Fun space. Love this hidden gem overlooking the Loyal legion. Drinks were awesome. They really need snacks though. Hard to have more then one drink without something to eat.
google avatar

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Visited this week for the first time, great new spot in town! The space was decorated with such a cute wallpaper and color combo. Seating was very comfortable as well. Ordered 4 total drinks and my favorite was the Citrine (Roku Gin, Orange, Dates and Cardamom syrup, egg white, lemon, orange bitters).
google avatar

Jason T.

Yelp
Feels like a members only, but it's not--just make your reservations before you go and you'll be able to get a seat. It's a small and quaint spot located just above the main bar in Loyal Legion. The drinks are fun, they'll do a rotation / pop up every once in a while making it a fun experience to come back to.
google avatar

Mary C.

Yelp
Made a reservation online a week in advance. Parking is a nightmare on the weekends so be prepared to either get lucky or park 5 blocks away on an off street. We did not have to wait at all though cause our table was ready. The menus are small but good choices or they can make something else. The workers are friendly and attentive. The drinks are tasty and well crafted. A good mix of booze and nice ingredients. Downfall: why? Oh why? Is there no food? Drinks and no food served. Oh olcc how they choose to be instrusive but then in times like this decide that the food served downstairs that is not offered upstairs is enough? Absolutely not. Especially if you cannot even get up to the bar to order.
google avatar

Rochella F.

Yelp
Amazing cocktails, ambience, and the bartender is a craftsman! Make reservations ahead so you can get in easily.
google avatar

Theresa A.

Yelp
Finally, we are getting some 'burb love! I was so excited to experience this speakeasy and it did not disappoint. We made reservations about a month ahead for a Friday night. We checked in at Loyal Legion's bar and were taken upstairs. The place is small and dark, but the bar was beautifully lit. Our drinks were delicious, but a little pricey. This would be a great date night place.
google avatar

Cole P.

Yelp
Very cool! For a quiet, intimate date night or meeting up with some friends for fun times with amazing, tasty cocktails- it's hard to not tell everyone about this speakeasy.
google avatar

Maria I.

Yelp
Another new bar in Beaverton! Tasty drinks, small intimate space, chill vibe, great service. Keep in mind, no food items on the menu but server will offer some nuts to munch on. Definitely worth checking out. Reservation only so make sure you show up on time!
google avatar

Michelle G.

Yelp
Flora is beautifully put together. reservations only. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and the owner is behind the bar themselves! The drinks are so well done, all the tastes come together to make a refreshing tasteful drink. My bf and I will be coming back.

Yelp
Judging by the reviews, and the sparse crowd when we arrived, Flora is firmly in IYKYK territory. Good. It's fun to have something a little out of the way and exclusive every so often. If not for the password at Milk and Honey, they world would've never tasted a gold rush. If not for the hidden door in Crif Dogs, lounges wouldn't know how to model their vibe after PDT. There's a way to, say, have a little getaway behind the shelves at Circa 33 without having the Dad's fitness club vibe of MWL or Scotch Room, and Flora's found it. Before the pandemic, Portland as a whole eschewed the entire notion of reservations. They're for the Pearl. They go against what an organic culinary scene should foster? They violate the "Portland fair" policy of first-come, first served. Naturally, this is all nonsense. A reservation is a failsafe: It's a way of making sure a table will be there when customers need it and that customers will be there when an establishment needs them. If everybody plays along, it's a wonderful arrangement that better cities have enjoyed for generations. That a reservation is Flora's idea of a secret password is note perfect and absolutely hilarious. Of course much of Beaverton doesn't know about this place. This is a town that can't grasp ordering at a bar: You think they're going to wrap their minds around making a reservation, never mind drinking at a place that's reservation only? Not going to happen. The only qualm I can see here is price, which is lofty for the 'burbs, but Flora has every justification in the world for it. First off, their cocktail list is the stuff that Rum Club, Teardrop, early Kask, and Clyde Common/Pepe Le Moko were built on. Secondly, it isn't as if Beaverton has Portland's saturation of cocktail bars where you can just go to a Boothby and Archambeault spot and be OK in a pinch. Your next best spot is Bootleggers, which knows what it's doing to a great degree, then the insufferable strip-mall whiskey bar Westgate. Then what? Maybe a McMenamins? One of the sports dives if someone's cousin from the Castro is in for the weekend? You're in a cocktail desert where you have three options until a car is involved. Flora can thrive in that environment. The Southern Drawl and the Watson Avenue were personal favorites, but cocktails tend to be a subjective matter. I'm grateful for the selection here, and will consider it a viable alternative to sitting downstairs amongst the wailing ingrates unhappy with bar service and $5 full-pint pours.

Ingrid M.

Yelp
Cozy and intimate ambiance with delicious drinks and great customer service. We went in on a busy night with no reservations but they were more than happy to accommodate my friend and I.
