Went to Flora with a group of 9 people who were touring Portugal together with a focus on its food and wine culture. This restaurant was selected by our tour guide (Ryan Opaz) who himself has co-authored 3 books about food and wine in Portugal. We all agreed that Flora was one of the highlights of our week in the country. We chose the 7 course tasting menu, which included 2 desserts (65 Euro, not including wine). There are also 9 course and smaller course tasting menus, but not an a la carte menu. (Hence, take care if you have special dietary needs.) Every course was perfectly sumptuous— 5 stars— made with local, organic ingredients. The restaurant was small, not more than 5 tables in all, our table for 9 and 4 other two-tops. (The proprietor had combined a couple of tables to accommodate us.) The service was flawless, sensitive and welcoming. Don’t miss Flora!
