I came her for the first time with a friend and it was the perfect mix of great service, equality food and ambiance! We ordered 2 appetizers, the fish ribs and the melon and prosciutto. They both were excellent in presentation and their flavor did not disappoint! I actually ate both by myself because he is very picky lol. Lucky me! We both ordered the steak with grilled peppers and corn. I didn’t like the peppers but I gave them to my coworker to eat for breakfast and she loved them. So they didn’t go to waste. The steak was tender and I had an excellent candlelight dinner. Thanks for making my visit exceptional and I will be returning soon

This is a gem all around. To start the service is attentive in just the right amounts. They are friendly and know their menu well to be able to make suggestions. I didn't get to try the cocktails but they looked great and the people drinking them really seemed to be enjoying them. The food was where everything came together. We tried almost all the appetizers. Some had a kick but not too much, others had a citrus focus. They use fruit as a sweetener for the shrimp avocado. The beansprouts were crispy on the outside like they'd been tanned on a tropical beach all day but firm on the inside. They had a little kick that was just right. The Crab cakes tasted like they used fresh crabs and the tarter sauce that came with it was a little spicy too which was with the accompanying salad. Lastly, the ambiance was just the right amount of Oakland. There wasn't a stuffy feeling about the place. It was complemented by the staff which all had their own look. The experience was really nice and I'm sure this will start to be one of our go to restaurants.

The visit there was for a special event: the Art Deco Society of California Members' Appreciation Party. What a great place to have the party: the exterior and interior is very "Art Deco" in its architecture and interior design. The staff was excellent: very friendly, efficient, and courteous; made all us members feel wanted there. We enjoyed ourselves there. I would really like to go here on a "regular" occasion sometime.

The pork chop was amazing, super juicy and wonderful flavors. Super friendly staff. Parking is limited. Parking lot a few blocks away closes at eight. Not a quiet place though.

Decent brunch spot. The main advantage is availability to book ahead of time. Nice service, good food, relaxed atmosphere.

Had a really enjoyable dinner with friends. Very good selection of food, very good friendly service and good value (not too expensive). You should get reservations as it was bust on Tuesday night. Bar next door is good too. Extra star of service for the bartender as he brought over my sport coat to restaurant I had left. Cool Art Deco look inside and out too.

The restaurant is always good though our waitress was so slow we had to repeatedly get up and request items/order. But the steak and halibut were great, the cocktails lovely, and the desserts were beyond fabulous. Also interesting bar drinks and excellent coffee.
