really loved this little place. very clean and nice neutral lighting. the food was made fresh. we only got the snack pull apart (5 piece wings) to try, along with a slushie and iced tea. i liked the tea, the lemon cello slushie was a little too sweet. but the wings were absolutely amazing. i thought the prices on the menu seemed a little high, but you actually get good quality. i would come back!

We just had a celebratory dinner here and it was DELICIOUS! The dill pickle crisps are super tasty and moist. But the Brussels sprouts were the best I’ve ever had - and I’m a fan of Brussels sprouts. The mashed potatoes were buttery and smooth rather than dry and tasteless, like you’d get elsewhere. The place was empty so the service was really fast. I highly recommend this place.

The food was incredible! The chicken was juicy and extremely flavorful, and all the sauces were amazing. The buffalo and ranch were great but the BBQ sauce was stellar. On top of that the people were very friendly and welcoming. Great joint, stop by if you're in the neighborhood or make a trip, definitely worth going out of your way for.

Loved the food but getting to the point where we can’t support the ownership. Been living a few blocks over for 2 years and the spot has turned over a few times. Food and drinks have always been amazing, but seems owners won’t give the spots a chance. L/A Mex was amazing and so was Floreen’s but now seems they are closed too. Owners need to decide on a concept and stick to it. A business can’t stay open with uncertain hours or menus. Wanted to love this new spot and we did, but seeing them rarely opened leaves us giving up yet again. Not sure we will venture back to any of their restaurants as we don’t want the disappoint when they decide to close and start a new concept again.

The owners and staff of this business are the friendliest and most generous food service workers I have ever come across. They always find a way to go above and beyond for their customers. My partner and I have been avid fans since Kalish was open (run by the same owners), and we shared our love for the old K’pop and cluck sandwich from there. The same sauce is still available on their menu! Anyway, the owners and staff did everything they could to make our first visit to Floreen’s a stellar experience. They let us sample the frosé cocktails before deciding which flavor to purchase. The watermelon is good if you’re wanting a more subtle flavor, but we’re sweet tooth fiends so we chose lemon. On top of that, we took our food to go, and the owner flagged us down on our way out saying that he wanted us to have something. He made us an amazing vegan ice cream sundae to go! Chocolate and mint ice cream with chocolate drizzle and whipped cream. Truly an amazing and heart warming welcome back to our favorite local restaurant. Can’t say enough good things about Floreen’s!!!

Kalish vegan chicken sandwiches are back! Along with many new good looking options I can't wait to try!

We had the Longacre Detroit-style pizza, fried chicken, and several sides. Everything was delicious. I'd been craving the Longacre pizza since they closed years ago. The service was fast and very friendly. We even got to try their tavern style pizza, which was exceptional. It's great to see that space used so well. We'll be back for sure.

Food is good but on the pricey side for what it is. Owners seem to have business adhd. Consistency is king. Simplify menu. Keep the doors open. Customers are confused when you keep changing your concept, menu, hours.

Yelp
I came here today (Sunday, Aug 13, 2023) and I had the pleasure of being greeted by the lady working behind the register. She was super friendly and her energy was great. I previously tried looking for a phone number in their website and/or other platform to see how I could call to make a take out order, but there was no number to be found. I also tried using their take out ordering system on their website, but the page did not work. I understand they are pretty new since opening so it wasn't that big of a deal. I live down the street and just wanted to try their buffalo fried chicken sandwich, so I didn't mind waiting. Anyways, I walked over here, placed the order, and waited about 10-15 minutes while they prepared it. The sweet girl brought it over to me and I was on my merrily way home. I opened up my bag with the to-go container and instantly realized that they had no tossed the chicken with any buffalo sauce. The wild part is that I told the lady Buffalo initially when she asked me, and then she asked me again to make sure some moments later so I'm not sure if there was a disconnect with what she typed in and what they saw in the kitchen, but I was pretty disappointed since the buffalo spicy aspect was super important. I essentially only got a friend chicken sandwich but was charged more for it. The chicken sandwich itself tastes very good - juicy and they packed in a lot of friend. I just really wish they had gotten the buffalo part of it correct. I'll still return because I'd like to try a lot of their other items, but I took off a star for that discrepancy in my order. Glad to see this space re-opened again. I do miss L/A Mex which was here before!

Yelp
Fried chicken is an emotional topic. There are many FC joints, but how many have a comfy contemporary interior, friendly waitstaff and a really nice outdoor area? Floreens is such a place. Open a month and owned by Andy who also owned Ka-lish, Sephardic Sisters and Sam& Guetie's. The menu is familiar with fried chicken, sandwiches, salads, rib tips, tacos, all sorts of sides, and ice cream. While we waited the brought out slices of well crafted Detroit style pizza. They do serve beer and cocktails. They have a small cross-section of dipping sauces. The outside eating area was comfy with geometric tables, Italian lights and piped in music on a lush residential street. We ordered the Crisps Dinner which had a generous serving of chicken, cole slaw, fries, corn on the cob, ranch sauce, and pickle slices. I love mashed and gravy and it was excellent. Everything was tasty. Andy mentioned his mom Floreen and his memories of fried chicken and mashed potatoes. This place is a good tribute. For two entrees and two drinks was about $63 which also included a 16.5% tip in the bill. Overall a good neighborhood addition. Come on over, order, drink and relax on a lazy summer evening. No

Yelp
Ahh! This used to be L/A Mex Vegan Taqueria, remember that? This is from the Sam & Gerties folks. I had their Fries and they were very good.

Yelp
Yet again, we have a closed storefront on Wilson. The neighbors here are frustrated. We'd like vibrant businesses here and have happily parted with our money when these restaurants are/were actually open (these folks run Sam & Gertie's and whatever the latest incarnation of Kalish is - hard to keep track), but nothing sticks around long enough. Constantly revolving menus and concepts to fulfill someone's new "vision." Would love someone else to get a chance to give us consistent businesses (thank you Taproom!). At this point, I don't bother with anything on this doomed restaurant row.

Yelp
Very impressed! I was a huge enjoyer of Kalish (and for a brief time, Sephardic Sisters), and as much as I'll miss them, I can't complain, the vegan options are still pretty incredible. The outdoor seating is really nice and has plenty of shade, and the service is top notch and really friendly.
