What a hidden gem this is, quick and friendly service, food was delicious, got a smash burger sandwich and the luxe and they went above and beyond on the meeting expectations part. Will definitely come back to try other menu items or simply get what I ordered as it was that good. Pleas give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.

Staff and owner were extremely welcoming and friendly. We had taken a red eye into Boston that morning and had just gotten up from a recover nap. We were starving and in a new city. Florenza’s was within walking distance from our hotel, but would be worth an uber to enjoy. Their food creations were original and left us wishing we could eat more. Thanks for making our visit to Boston memorable!

Google
Florenza is the best pizza in East Boston, if not the best pizza I’ve ever had. The whole staff is very nice and everything I’ve had (most of the menu) is delicious. The raspberry nectar iced tea is excellent. You’re missing out if you don’t visit their restaurant.

Google
Best pizza in East Boston! We like getting the baba and prosciutto and fig 😍 They also have gelato, coffee, and all kinds of treats like tiramisu and brownies. The two owners are super friendly. There’s also tons of nice seating

What a great place. Out of towners here. Loved the pizza, ambience was amazing. Staff went above and beyond. Clean. Easy to get to.

Google
Such a lovely place. The food is very high quality and a lot of it is imported from Italy. No matter what you get it will be absolutely delicious!!

Google
Was very disappointed in the pizza since it has such great reviews. I got the pepperoni and It was the driest pizza I’ve ever had. The crust is really thick like 90% of the pizza is just crust which would be great if there was some sauce on it. Not sure if I got a bad batch because it has such great reviews but I spent $30 on a pizza and ended up having to dip it in ketchup since it was so dry. I’d rate the pizza a 3/10.

I worked in East Boston for 18yrs and visited today for first time. Place is impeccable, great service. Ordered the Ramona salad with chicken - fresh greens, no wilted leaves, the chicken was moist and super tasty. I also tried the pistachio Gelato it was delicious so much better than other Gelato that I tried in the past. I certainly will eat there again.

Yelp
Had the need one evening for pizza but wanted a good pizza if that makes sense. I avoided the recommendations. The hotel gave me for local places to get a pizza. I did a little research and came up with this place and I'm so glad I did. It would've cost too much to Uber there eat an Uber back so I opted to do Uber eats for the first time . I called this place and had a few questions in the gentleman answered. The phone was so very polite and extremely helpful. . I wish I would've visited the restaurant maybe next time . Let's just say the pizza is amazing full of flavor. The crust was done to perfection and it was rather fast on a delivery, which I was very impressed with for the first time using Uber eats .

Yelp
Tried them for the first time and ordered delivery. Surprisingly, the pizza I had here was some of the best I've had in Boston! The crust has a perfect crisp and chew factor and they are incredibly generous with the toppings. A personal size pizza is a decent portion and definitely filled me up. Only complaint is that the container they put the gelato in is terrible when you order delivery. It was dripping everywhere and I wish they would have just put the container in a cup or something to make it less messy.

Yelp
UPDATE: Important fact about Florenza - the owner is adamant about clean and high quality ingredients. I was in the corner out of site reading a book one day during the slow break and heard him going in on a conversation about the quality of the ingredients and meats he must have to serve to his customers. It made me think...most any dough in the US causes my knees to hurt. I can happily eat my way through Europe with zero issues. I realized I eat at Florenza so much because it's good and I'm not in pain afterwards. I asked the owner about the flour and meats. They bake their dough with flour from Italy and the meats have NO NITRATES! Great food, amazing service, clean ingredients, modern vibe and chill ambiance...love this place. GO TO ORDERS: Florenza Italian panini, Funghi Solo pizza and the Eastie. My freezer is never without a pint of gelato.

Yelp
I've been twice and was really hoping for the right balance that was so missed on my first visit, but it just didn't happen. The dough is nearly perfectly fermented with a nice open crumb you would expect from a high hydration dough. The slices have a really nice crisp as well. The crust flavor was just ok. The dough, sauce, cheese imbalance is prominent, however. A light airy Roman pizza should not be heavily weighted with excess cheese. It undermines the whole "lightness" experience you would expect from a properly executed Roman slice. So unfortunately, a potentially above average pizza simply becomes average due to the imbalance. The slice options have been significantly reduced from my first visit, and the slices were old, with plastic looking cheese congealed over the pies, which betrays a massive supply-demand imbalance as well. You need high foot traffic to move slices. If they opened 2 blocks down into Maverick they would likely have a long term proposition. Will take some business acumen and creativity to renew the lease in 5 years.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! We also ordered two hot chocolates and they don't charge you extra for non-dairy milk.

Yelp
Stopped in today for lunch and was not disappointed! Pros -primo panini was to die for! It could easily feed 2-3 people. The chicken was juicy and yet had a great crisp to it. The bread had a nice crisp with slight char on the outside but was cloud soft on the inside -smoked monti was creamy, salty, and had just a hint of smoke -ample seating -super friendly and quick service -clean bathrooms Cons (I'm really having to reach!) -Diet coke was small (8oz) -panini was a little hard to eat because several topping were slippery (tomatoes, peppers, mozzarella)

Yelp
This cafe is a gem! From the pizza to paninis, coffee to the tea, gelato to sorbet, and from the ambiance to service, this place will excite your sensory, satisfy your cravings, and leave you feeling appreciated. Having been here countless times, I couldn't recommend enough of their Massi Mortadella and Primo panini! The ingredients are fresh and high quality sandwiched between perfectly crispy and airy bread! As for their pizza, you can't go wrong with their any of them, although my favorite are the funghi and caprese! There's a flavor of gelato and sorbet for everyone! The best ones are the honeycomb, pistachios, pineapples and hazelnut! The raspberry tea has a nice tart while the pear is light! This is a great place to eat by yourself or friends to share!

Yelp
The place is clean and organized, the staff is friendly and welcoming. We tried a couple of the gelatos and thought all were good. The limonata drink was super good and refreshing as well. We enjoyed taking ours to go and eating it near the water. A soda, a slice and 2 gelatos (1small & 1 medium - 2 flavors) for $20 - seemed like a good deal to me!

Yelp
Truly delicious pizza! Prompt friendly service and nice quiet, clean place to enjoy. We stumbled into it looking for a slice, it was so good I had four!!

Amy P.

Yelp
First service was amazing! We order two of the small pizzas a pepperoni and the sausage and rapini. Both were great! Also got gelato which was great. This would be my pizza spot if we lived in the area unfortunately for us we were just visiting.

Yelp
Great local coffee shop! I've stopped by this place twice since it's opened and have enjoyed my experience both times. The coffee is very reasonably priced and it's a great environment for studying.

Yelp
AMAZING pizza. Tried the Milanesa (sauce, chicken cutlet, roasted red pepper, mozz, pecorino, basil, evoo) and WOW it was gooooood. Sicilian style with thicker crust but not too heavy. Toppings were very fresh and perfectly cooked. Can't wait to try their other pizzas. Place is an absolute gem.

Timisa P.

Yelp
Awarm and inviting spot--perfect for catching up with friends over a cup of coffee (I tried their salted caramel iced coffee, which was amazing!) or getting some work done. This place will definitely be my go-to in East Boston.

Yelp
What a delicious find. I was in the mood for pizza today, really good pizza and came across Florenza on Ubereats, so before ordering I did what I always do when ordering from somewhere new, I go to Yelp and the reviews sealed the deal. I ordered the Proper Pepperoni & the Sausage and Rapini. Both were delicious, the serving size was perfect and they looked just like pics. I will be ordering again. You have a new fan Florenza!

Yelp
Great new addition to the neighborhood! The restaurant is wonderful for eat in or take out down to the harbor. The restaurant is really pretty, clean, comfortable, and the owners could not be nicer. So far I've tried several of the pizzas and YUM - favorite is the spicy pepperoni but all of them are good - the best part is the crust. Of course gelato is a must have post-pizza and they have a variety of very tasty flavors.

Alexa H.

Yelp
Mortadella panini and cheese pizza were so tasty! Happen to walk by with the dog and saw them open. Glad to have a nice, new modern spot in the neighborhood. Keep up the good flavors and welcome to Eastie! Also, bonus points for cleanliness

Yelp
Amazing pizza, delicious gelato and strong coffee - what more can you ask for? I've been here about 6x already this summer, highly recommend!!

Yelp
The Caprese pizza is the best pizza I have ever eaten. It had just come out of the oven, and if I were a professional food critic, I'd say that this pizza is worthy of a Michelin star! The pizza crust beats anything I've had before. It is about a half-inch thick but very light and crispy. I think it is called a Roman pizza dough. I'm a vegetarian, so I can't comment on all their pizza, but the Caprese pizza is extraordinary. Excellent ingredients with ample much better than average mozzarella cheese, fresh cherry tomatoes, and pesto that tastes as if the basil was just picked. The restaurant is spotless. I presumed from their looks that the men who run it are brothers, and they confirmed it. I don't know where they learned to cook, but this is not your typical pizza. My wife and I also got the gelato, and it too was excellent. Delicious unusual flavors. I don't normally write reviews, but this place is a hidden gem tucked away in East Boston and deserves to not be so hidden.

Yelp
Florenza was excellent, from the food to the customer service. I can't wait to return. Everyone should visit this place. The ambiance is also lovely. My family dined inside, and we felt so welcome. We had pizza, truffle fries, and desserts. Everything was fantastic.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible!! Can't say enough about this place. My buddies in I got 4 pizzas and all of them were delicious. My personal favorite was the Alla Vodka and Proper Pepperoni was right behind. We grabbed gelato on our way out and it was just as good as I remember it in Italy. Service was also spectacular, along with the seats being super comfy. A must try if you're ever in East Boston.

Yelp
Grabbed the massi mortadella (creamiest burrata you'll ever eat) and crispy panini (think chicken cutlet + BLT had a baby) - WOW! These are two of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The bread is so perfectly baked and the fresh ingredients transport you right to Florence. Most places would skimp on portions when using such high quality ingredients but not this place; the paninis are massive. This is by far the best sandwich shop in all of Boston. I can't wait to try the pizza and gelato.

Brielle M.

Yelp
The best lattes in Eastie! We have been twice and love the iced lattes and delicious pizza. Definitely our new go to local coffee spot!

Anderson J.

Yelp
Insanely good. So many options all the toppings are fire. The individual sizes are also perfect.

Kinsey K.

Yelp
Florenza is a great new addition to the East Boston area! Excellent food and service! The inside is clean, nice and well maintained.

Brian G.

Yelp
Pizza is amazing, been a few times already and have not been disappointed. Friendly staff! Can't wait to try more of their menu.

Melissa C.

Yelp
Amazing Pizza, close to the Airport and definitely a spot we are going to add tomorrow our travel plan. The place is clean and the staff is so welcoming. Perfect place to have amazing pizza.

Chris M.

Yelp
Amazing pizza with fresh and light ingredients from Italy. Owner is very nice and the space is chic / high quality. I've already been multiple times.

Annie V.

Yelp
Excellent gelato. Best I have had in greater Boston area. Will be back to try pizza. Glad I don't live nearby!

Julia P.

Yelp
Delicious! Got the Full Monti and it did not disappoint. The "full" size is big and each slice is delicious and filling. Can't be happier to have this place in the neighborhood! Gelato was yummy too. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Strongly recommend!

Dave T.

Yelp
The best pizza and gelato I've had since visiting Italy. So many different flavors and pizza options I can't wait to try them all. The hot honey pepperoni pizza was delicious. I got a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of Hazelnut gelato and the combination tasted like a Ferrero Rocher candy.
