The 22 Best Cocktail Bars in Los Angeles

"Located upstairs from the constant party that is Lowboy, Bar Flores boasts views of the Echo Park neighborhood and Sunset Boulevard. It’s a great spot to take in the scenery while enjoying day-friendly cocktails such as the guava mojito and an Aviation with tropical flavors and rainbow sprinkles. The bar concept started as a pop-up series by beverage director Karla Flores-Mercado and now features a mostly female bar team." - Caroline Pardilla

The waiter is so professional and friendly. She is smiling and asking us we are okay with our food and need anything. The food is a amazing and so delicious. We had nachos and carne asada. I would recommend this restaurant if you want to try good Mexican food.

After a week on the East Coast, these two Arizonan's were craving Mexican food. This place did not disappoint! We started with the chips, salsa, bean dip & guacamole. It was all very good. It came with a salsa & a smooth hot sauce. Both were very flavorful and we really enjoyed them. The guacamole was fresh and tasty and so was the bean dip. We got a few other items to share. I'll start with the chicken taquitos. They were delicious! They were fried to perfection and loaded with cheese. They went very well with the guacamole we had left and the hot sauce. We also got an empanada, it was filled with steak and cheese. My husband ate this and absolutely loved it! We finished with the carne asada burrito bowl. It came deconstructed & we mixed it all together for an amazing dish. Needless to say, we left there very full but extremely satisfied. We cannot say enough about this GREAT dining experience. The service was also very good and you could tell they take pride in their amazing food. Give them a try!

Absolutely loved the yuca and chicharron. Perfect portion for the price and you can easily make two meals out of it! Friendly waiter too.

We ordered pollo asada, chicken quesadilla and steak ribs + ox tail soup. Wow! My husband and I have been to the restaurant several times - first time for our daughter. Food was hot, wait staff friendly and attentive, and we tried tres leches (phenomenal). The big radiator heaters were on and pumping the heat! If you’ve never had yucca, try it (it’s a side). I haven’t had fried yucca since I lived in California. It’s tastes more flavorful than the handcut fries my husband ordered (he reported they were good but the yucca was great). We’ll be back!!

We stumbled hungry into the neighborhood early Friday night, out of towners with tickets to a play at the Merrill, but no dinner reservation. The conventional restaurants were booked. Flores turned out to be a great find: tasty, creative Salvadoran food, and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was great, too. Highly recommend!
