Stumbled upon this place while exploring downtown and was blown away by the quality of handmade pieces. Beautiful ceramics, jewelry, and glasswork from talented Florida artists. A Hidden Gem of Authentic Florida Artistry! Florida CraftArt is an absolute treasure in downtown St. Petersburg. It’s not just a gallery — it’s a vibrant celebration of Florida’s finest contemporary craft artists. From intricate ceramics and hand-blown glass to fiber art, woodwork, and jewelry, every piece tells a story of skill, passion, and creativity. The staff is incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, and they’re clearly passionate about supporting local artists and educating the community. I especially love that all the artwork is made by Florida artists — it gives the whole space a unique sense of place and pride. Whether you’re looking to buy one-of-a-kind pieces or simply want to be inspired by the creativity on display, this nonprofit gallery is a must-visit. They also host some amazing exhibitions and events that are both thought-provoking and beautifully curated. Highly recommended for art lovers, tourists, and locals alike. Support local. Celebrate craft. You won’t regret it. Would you like to personalize it with details from your visit (e.g., a favorite artist or piece)? I can adjust the tone or content accordingly.

Florida CraftArt is my favorite gallery in St Pete! Such a beautiful space that highlights incredible local artists. I stopped in recently to find a Mother’s Day gift and Zoe helped me find the perfect piece :)

Google
This place is a hidden gem! It perfectly captures the vibrant creative energy that Florida has to offer. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted by an impressive collection of handcrafted works that showcase both local talent and visiting artists. The gallery’s curation is exceptional – featuring everything from stunning ceramic pieces and intricate glasswork to beautifully woven textiles and unique jewelry. I was particularly drawn to the collection of pottery that incorporated natural Florida elements like sea glass and driftwood. The attention to detail and craftsmanship in every piece is remarkable. The staff here are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the work they represent. They took time to share the stories behind several pieces, which really enhanced my appreciation for the artistry involved. It’s clear they genuinely care about supporting local artists and educating visitors about different craft techniques. The gallery space itself is beautifully lit and thoughtfully arranged, allowing each piece to shine while creating a comfortable browsing experience. The prices are fair and reasonable, especially considering the quality and uniqueness of the handmade items. Whether you’re a serious art collector, looking for a special gift, or simply want to experience Florida’s rich craft tradition, this gallery is absolutely worth a visit. I left feeling inspired and with a gorgeous hand-blown glass piece that perfectly captures the coastal Florida aesthetic. I highly recommend this gallery to anyone who appreciates authentic, handcrafted art. Perfect for: Art lovers, gift shoppers, tourists wanting authentic Florida crafts, anyone supporting local artists

Yelp
Florida Craft Art is a wonderful store to visit when in downtown Saint Petes. The store is filled with beautiful jewelry, art and crafts. It's a great place if you need a gift for yourself or anyone else. I will definitely be visiting again!

Yelp
Florida CraftArt is a nonprofit organization right on Central Ave in downtown St. Pete. It's free and open 7 days a week. They have beautiful handmade artwork, all made by artists in Florida, so buying gifts here means you're supporting local artists. In addition to the retail space, there's an exhibition space with rotating exhibitions that include local, national, and even international artists. Locals and visitors will love this place!

Zoe W.

Yelp
Florida CraftArt is a must see in downtown st Pete. The art is beautiful and unique! I can always count on finding a gift for someone or a really special piece for myself here. Absolutely recommend!

Steve K.

Yelp
Florida CraftArt is a must see if you're in downtown St. Petersburg. Lots of unique art pieces made by local artists.

Charlie G.

Yelp
Stopped by CraftArt Gallery while walking around St. Pete and loved it. One display that really stood out was the jewelry by Samantha Freeman from Ocala. Really unique pieces. Definitely worth checking out if you're into handmade art and local talent.

D K.

Yelp
They also have an interesting urban exploring mural tours downtown - our tour guide Laura was awesome!

Heidi W.

Yelp
The whole neighborhood is great for strolling, shopping an eating, but Florida Craft Art is my favorite. The changing exhibitions are always interesting and the shop has terrific, fun stuff.
google avatar

Lita L.

Yelp
This store has amazing art by very talented crafters, no junk. Lots of glass, ceramics, and artwork. There seems to be exhibits each time I come, and today there were Buddhist monks actively at their art of sandwork. It was absolutely beautiful, and watching them meticulously apply the colored sand into this vibrant design Mandalay design was amazing, such patience!
google avatar

Deborah K.

Yelp
What a beautiful little gem in St. Pete. It was wonderful that they hosted the Tibetan monks. Their art work is so precise yet ephemeral. There was a lot of beautiful clay pieces for sale as well as other local art. The selection is beautiful! I didn't purchase anything but the service was great for those who did. Art is as valuable as you make it. Check this place out!
google avatar

PJ R.

Yelp
We went to see the Tibetan monks create mandalas and what a tremendous exhibit! I love that they also had pieces from local artists with their interpretations of mandalas! In terms of value, the shop definitely had something for everyone. I'm not sure you can really put a value on art as it is so personal to the buyer. But there were many pieces in there that I would happily purchase and display! Everyone was so friendly. I look forward to going back!

Lauren J.

Yelp
I love Florida CraftArt! It a very unique gallery and a great place explore and I highly recommend!!

Bridget B.

Yelp
Florida CraftArt offers the best of both worlds -- a beautifully curated retail gallery shop with an exhibition space of rotating, temporary and always interesting exhibitions. It is a gem in St. Pete!

Jane Y.

Yelp
What a fabulous representation of local artists - the quality and selection is amazing! Many beautiful and unique pieces of handmade jewelry are offered there too! Highly recommend you check it out when searching for a gift for the special lady in your life!

Yelp
Explore the fine crafts by local artists in this fabulous gallery. Crafts made from repurposed materials, fine and costume jewelry, sculpture, fabric art, pottery and more. FCA is pure delight.

L.A. W.

Yelp
The Florida Craft Art (FCA) store is a must visit for locals and visitors interested in art made by Florida craftspeople and artists. There is something for every "taste" and the very reasonable purchase prices support the artists and the ever-growing art scene in St. Petersburg. The FCA staff are knowledgable and passionate about art and can help guide you on gift selection. If you are a local I encourage you to become a member of FCA. Your support is critical to the ongoing operation and success of FCA. If you love art you'll love this store.

Beth C.

Yelp
I'm so happy I visited Florida Craft Art. The store is filled with beautiful jewelry, art and crafts. Great display of things to purchase for yourself or a gift. Don't miss it when in St. Pete!

Yelp
Great gallery and shop in downtown St. Petersburg. The variety and quality of art there is amazing and the store offers unique items in a variety of price points.

Yelp
Come look! It's free free fiii! It is a a hybrid of gallery and gift shop. All the artists are local. The gallery is themed/curated. The current showing is Answered if Fiber. I'm not usually into fabric art but there was definitely a few pieces that grabbe my attention. A few had thought provoking messages. The shop is full of art for sale. There is everything from ceramics, art, prints and useful art items. Shirts, pillows, stickers, jewelry really something for everyone. There is even a kids art activities for purchase. They do participate in Saturday Art Wall, they just stay open later. Plenty to see and updates. Come if you are visiting, come back again if you're a local.

Jeremiah J.

Yelp
Visited yesterday to see the Mandala Arts exhibit and the Tibetan Buddhist Monks Healing Mandala Sand Painting and procession to the Bay. Thanks to the management for bringing this to our community and to WMNF Radio for publicizing the event. Nice gallery.
google avatar

Annette F.

Yelp
I live in a community that is woefully short on shops offering locally made fine crafts. When I saw this one listed in the downtown guide to St Petes, I had to find it. The variety of crafts offered from ceramics, to glass, to textiles, to jewelry is wonderful, evidence of some very fine craftsmanship. It is all displayed very nicely to be able to see everything. I did not have time to browse the exhibit gallery as well. The only downside, and maybe it's a response to Covid, is that the prices were a bit above my budget.
google avatar

Elise G.

Yelp
Any visit to St. Pete always includes the Florida CraftArt for me. This shop includes a wide variety of art in a wide variety of price points. Whether you are looking for a treat or a gift, there is something for anyone who appreciates creativity. The jewelry ranges from fun valentines to serious stone craft. There are beautiful fabric crafts that you don't see in many shops. There is a Gallery with the current show of excellent large sculpture & smaller jewelry pieces by the same artist. The very charming & helpful staff are also artists in FLCraftArt. Whether sight-seeing or purchasing this is a great stop to appreciate the crafts of St. Pete.

Yelp
I love popping into this shop before grabbing a latte at Beans & Barlour or dinner at one of the many fantastic nearby eateries. This cool collection of crafty awesomeness has something for everyone and comes in handy especially around holiday time. You can't go wrong with great gifts from local artists. They have everything from cards and cute magnets to jewelry and full blown artwork and furnishings like side tables, etc. I love bringing visitor friends by this oversized gallery (where everything is available for purchase) to find a little something special and unique while in St.Pete.
google avatar

Margot A.

Yelp
Took a terrific walking tour (of St Pete's murals) through Florida Craft Art. The tour was led by James; very knowledgeable of the St. Petersburg art scene, nice guy, great tour, reasonably priced & a great introduction to the city. Highly recommend. The Florida Craft Art shop itself was also delightful, full of unique, awesome locally crafted pieces. Recommend!!
google avatar

Krys P.

Yelp
If you love going to art festivals then you'd love this place, because it's like having an art festival for you to browse around any day of the year, you don't have to wait for a particular weekend for it to happen. You can go in, to look for some unique gift for a friend, to find some hand crafted accessories, to support local artists, or to browse special exhibits if there's one happening. While they have pieces that are hundreds of dollars or over, you can as easily find small ticket items that fit your budget.

Yelp
I finally got to visit Florida CraftArt during the Saturday St. Pete Art Walk and it was a complete treat! The crafts range from sculptures to dioramas, mixed media installations, and functional art (think jewelry, utensils, and greeting cards). The price tags are itttty bittttty, and so don't be shy about asking a staff member to assist if you're interested in making a purchase. The showpieces change frequently and so it's a place you can visit over and over again. During the Art Walk they also open the upstairs studios, artists are there to speak about their work and it's just the darn coolest. St. Pet They are still requesting (kind of requiring) masks to be worn in the main gallery space.
google avatar

Corey H.

Yelp
There was no art that really caught my eye, but it was not for lack of art, this is a very large space. Ended up buying some locally made deodorant for $12. The employees were friendly I picked up a paper copy of the Saturday evening art crawl from this location.
google avatar

Rebecca G.

Yelp
This is a great store filled with usable art items from Florida artists, many of whom are from the Bay area. I swung in here after having lunch nearby. Every once in a while I like to take a PTO day and call it a "Rebecca Day" which means I am going to do stuff I like to do all day. Wandering downtown St. Pete, checking out all the little stores is something I enjoy doing and I am very "artsy fartsy." I didn't buy anything, but there were several things I would consider going back for that would make great gifts or great wearable art for me (particularly some of the cool earrings I found.) Items come in all price ranges, including under $20 which is nice when looking for gifts and things for yourself. I will go back for sure!

Yelp
Shop local and support artists from across the state. Plenty of gifts, jewelry, and decor. Non profit coalition... even better!
google avatar

Bill M.

Yelp
A really cool oval art shop. They have traveling shows and today was pet art. Some really good artists.

Tuefel H.

Yelp
Unique and interesting art pieces from local artists. I just wish I lived in Florida to enjoy it more.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
Florida Craft Art use to be called Florida Craftsmen. This is actually an organization that is all about local Florida artists and bringing them together so the community can be aware of all they do. They have many events throughout the year to showcase all their works, not only at this building, but also their huge craft show. They have a number of events such as the St. Pete mural tour, the art craft show in November, And Art Walks just to name a few. Walking into this building is like walking into a museum to me. I like it even better than an art museum per se. There are so many different art forms to see. They also sell them as well! This is definitely a great spot just to see a fraction of the art in St. Pete!

Yelp
Omygosh I saw real living Tibetan monks today for Buddha's birthday celebration! They celebrated the female representation of Avalokitesvara the Buddha of compassion. Her name is Tara and she embodies fearlessness, and protection. She also removes obstacles and removes suffering from Samsara. They created this really pretty, colorful green Buddha sand mandala and it's so vibrant and serene! It is full of life and serenity. I also loved walking around and looking at all the artsy objects and statues they had showcased in the store portion of the gallery.

Yelp
After you grab a beer, a bite to eat or an ice cream at any one of the coolest places on Central, make a point to stop by Florida CraftArt! This place is filled with incredible artwork from talented Florida artists. The staff was incredibly friendly and we talked about the Saturday morning mural walking tour. I will sign up for that. In the meantime, show your support and stop in to say hello. Take some pictures and give credit where credit is due!

Yelp
Downtown St Petersburg has more art galleries than some of the larger US cities, all concentrated in one area. Florida CraftArt showcases some of the best local talent of not just fine art, but craftsman and women from Florida. This is a great shop for home gifts and decor as well, all handmade locally. Housing mostly 3D artwork, exhibits rotate often and include: handmade apparel, jewelry, pottery, home decor, kitchenware, dishes, ornaments, and even handmade cards. Last time I visited, the guest speaker in the side room/gallery was a local fashion designer of recycled fashion. Visiting Florida CraftArt reminds us of how many talented craftpeople live in Tampa Bay.
google avatar

Yelp
With a building that's over 100 years old, they sure know how to make good use of the second level. The second level house is about 18 more art studios by individual artists from around the Tampa Bay area. There is a sign just outside the stairs leading to the second level neighboring the main Florida Artcraft store front on the first floor. It was the monthly second Saturday of the month gallery night in Saint Pete when we discovered the upstairs portion of this place. We almost passed by on the way to another gallery. There was so much talent in there on the night that we visited. It's definitely worth checking out at least once on these eventful nights. The main Florida art craft store front downstairs features the main gallery area. This is the more well-known part of their gallery where they feature their more expensive treasured artwork. Surrounding this first level are large storefront windows for viewing from the street. In their main featured art work room (One of two large areas downstairs), they do accept donations as an option right before you enter this room. Not recommended to bring kids as they could break a lot of items here. I would recommend this place is one of the many stop-bys on your excursion around the art districts of Saint Pete.
google avatar

Tiffany H.

Yelp
Florida Craftsmen is really one of the gems for independent shops in the area. They feature so many different things from different people, it's wonderful. I would be more apt to classify this as a shop than a gallery (though there is a gallery space separate from the shopping), but everything is clearly curated by someone with a great eye. They carry textile pieces (clothing, bags, etc.), ceramics, glass pieces, jewelry/watches, decorative pieces, smaller furniture pieces, beautiful doors, and cards/stationary type things. I was surprised and thrilled to see at least two independent artists I'm already familiar with in here. One is a really quirky illustrator and the other is a fiber artist. There is a lot to check out here and a perfect place to shop for gifts for that artsy type that appreciates the unusual.

M Y.

Yelp
It's a non profit organization to support local artists. There is a gift shops also exhibit area displays art work. They have good local events and recently they hosted the Tibetan Monks. What a treat.

Yelp
Did you know the second floor of this 'art store' is filled with studios for local artists to create, display, and sell their creations? TREASURE OF ART The creations of dozens and dozens of local artists can be found here. I'm not sure how they choose who to feature or how long they keep their work, but as a consumer this is a great place to find 'local and personal' gifts. Of course, that means the selections will vary slightly every time you walk in. That game board purse probably won't be available next time. Naturally there's a lot of figurines, jewelry, and sculptures. Prices have always been reasonable--actually very close to buying a similar, generic product from a home décor store--which means you get great deals. PERSONAL TOUCHES The staff is prepared to wrap up your purchases as gifts. They've also commented on the artists of whatever product you buy and will include a card telling more about the person who created your purchase. THAT SECOND FLOOR A Yelp Event ("Gallery of Yelp") allowed me to explore the second floor studios. The second Saturday art walks also allow this without any pressure. Besides chatting with artists, you're bound to see some working studios. The hallways are a gallery in itself and many artists also display their finished products for viewing or buying.

Yelp
This was one of the first places I took my mom when she came in from out of town. That is how special I think this place is. This is a gallery/shop and restaurant. There are all types of art being displayed and it is fun to walk around and look at things while your food is being made. My mom ended up buying a little pouch that she uses to hold her wallet and she still uses it to this day (and she bought it about a year ago). Everything is a little pricey, but it is hand crafted art. There is seating either inside or outside. I prefer outside either on the deck or in the garden. All the plates and cups are different and I believe handmade. It really adds to the charm of the place. Their flavored teas are delicious. They taste strongly of the fruit they have added to them. All the sandwiches are very good and I love the side pasta salad. I could probably eat just that. I actually come here less for the food (even though it is good) and more for the atmosphere. It is just nice to come with a friend and soak in the artistry of the place. I also saw that some nights they have performances. I will have to make it out one day for that. It is a little strange that you pay at the end of your meal. However, that shows how trusting and unique this place is. Once you order they come and find you. They do things their own way here and they do it well.
google avatar

Mary J.

Yelp
Handcrafted works of art, that work as furniture, dishes, clothing and more, can be found year round at this downtown St. Petersburg showcase for established and emerging fine craft artists. Talented, creative artists from throughout Florida and across the U.S. exhibit works here that are also for sale. The materials used to make what are often museum-worthy pieces range from wood and metal to glass and fibers. Typically one room is devoted to a themed exhibit and the rest of the street level space is devoted to displays that make it easy to admire these works of art from all angles. These are fine crafts and the prices reflect the quality of workmanship but there are lots of finds priced affordably as well.
google avatar

Lisa N.

Yelp
Definitely worth a visit, even if just to browse. There's a wide range of work from local artists around the state. A lot of it was too eclectic for my taste, but still fun to look around.
google avatar

Sadaf D.

Yelp
Whether you're looking to just browse/ view art or acquire a beautiful custom piece of art, Art craft is a lovely little gallery offering just that, with arts and crafts being displayed and some for sale by a wide range of artists. Their is no entry fee and they do take donations. Also, they are big supporters of local artists and often hold private events. I had the privilege of attending the lightheaded fundraiser event and had a blast!
google avatar

Catherine R.

Yelp
Local artist's work with attached gallery. This is a great place to meander for unique gifts. The pricing ranges from affordable ($15-$30) to big ticket ($1,000+). Glass works, ceramics, mixed media, sculpture, paper art, textiles..I have found many little treasures are that lower price end that make thoughtful and interesting gifts. Additionally this makes a nice stop when browsing with our-of-town company.
google avatar

Caity A.

Yelp
Florida Craftsmen (now Florida CraftArt) has been around as long as I can remember, and have continued to support local artists. They have a wide arrangement of jewelry (both fine metal jewelry, as well as jewelry made out of non-conventional materials), ceramics (bowls, mugs, fun figurines, fine art pieces), glass (glass-blown with etched/sandblasted designs, wine glasses, pitchers, fused glass), some really neat seed bead art "paintings", fiber arts (pillows, fine art pieces), wood work, and more. What I really love about Florida CraftArt is that they have their regular retail gallery, which they change things out really often so there's constantly new things in there, they also have a separate gallery space for special monthly exhibitions. They have different themes for each show, and it's always fun to stop in and see what new art they have to check out. While you're here, you also need to go upstairs to the ArtLofts to check out the artists' studios. Also, keep your eye out for the nearby yarn-bombed tree art :)
google avatar

Brittany L.

Yelp
I really enjoy visiting this gallery. They sell all Florida-made crafts and art and also host fine art shows. It's just across the street from Cycle Brewing so most of my visits here coincide with trips to the brewery. This is one of the things I LOVE about St. Pete: walkability and a variety of different businesses all nearby one another! Prices in this gallery shop vary from about $5 up into the thousands of dollars. There is truly something for all price ranges and tastes.

Yelp
Gosh I like Fla Craftsman... for non wall dependent art and fine craft one can hardly find a better place to be impressed than their amazing shop on Central Ave. One of the pioneer arts places that deserves everyone's support. Skip the mall and buy your gifts here. One issue: They now close up at 8:30 on artwalk nights. NO. Idiots. Close at 10 and take advantage of the crowds wandering about after dinner. I saw a dozen well heeled patrons turned away at 8:30 last night and realized what a stupid decision that was.
