Visiting from Georgia. My husband is on a mission to find great Texas bbq and I must say this place was really good. Customer service was great, very friendly. I had the dirty rice and beans with Ribs, brisket, chicken and sausage. The plate size was more than enough. He’s got great pricing for as much as he plates. I highly recommend Flossie’s!

People reviews don’t lie!!! HUGE portion size. Ribs falls out of the bone, tender and juicy. The brisket was moist. The brisket dirty rice was super tasty and has lots of meat. Definitely put this place to our GPS next time we’re in town. The owner even gave us chocolate cupcakes as they are closing at 5:30pm as they already ran out.

Atmosphere was super welcoming, owner was very polite and constantly checked up on us. Food was great, probably the best bbq place I've tried to date! Definitely worth checking out.

We came because it had a very high rating. After tasting the food we know why. So good. We had the brisket, sausage and ribs plate. Juicy, tender, and delicious.

I ordered a dish with 3 proteins and they gave me the free sausage, the very good prices and the excellent taste 👌 the best seasoned and juicy ribs 😋🤤 everything was very delicious, I will return soon ✨️

Great Food! Love the small menu board!! Brisket was tender and tasty! Ribs were tender, sausage good. Liked the beans and the potato salad, excellent. Sauce was just average. Service was a little slow, heard his help called in, so seemed to be a one man band. Great price, all this for $17! Someone else had the loaded baked potato, it was stuffed hugh!!

The restaurant is small and quiet but for good reason, the Food is really good! No talking just eating. Big portions and simple menu. This place is close to Sheldon Park so I found it leaving the park. Would come again

The food is so good. You will not be disappointed. My favorite is the stuffed bbq baked potato with 2 meats.

Food: I haven't tried it yet but I'll find out soon enough. UPDATE: I made it home, opened the container, and OMG, the brisket looked so juicy and good! My son and I thoroughly enjoyed the one pound of brisket which lasted a couple of days. It was well seasoned and perfect tenderness. Service: I think the gentleman who may be the owner, needs assistance, it seems like he's doing everything on his own. He seems like a kind man. Ambiance: Everyone were either waiting to order or waiting to receive their order were first timers like myself. At the end of the day, those waiting began having conversations making the feel more of a familial space. The food here must be good because people keep walking in. I'll let y'all know . Update/ The food WAS VERY GOOD and eventually my son and I will have the dining in experience. If you haven't been to Flossie's, do yourself a favor and drop by to try some delicious brisket and anything else on the menu. Please be patient with him as you wait for your food, it's totally worth it the wait.

I opted for the 2 meat combo, Brisket and Ribs. Nice Smokey bark on the ribs, Brisket was cooked perfect. Firm with an easy pull, and juicy. The sauce was perfectly balanced, with the perfect amount of vinegar. I did the double beans, they are tasty and filling. Will definitely be back on the weekends.

Best BBQ I've had to date from anywhere. You can't go wrong with any of the meats. The greens and brisket dirty rice are TO DIE FOR. The team was so kind and made me want to move to Texas.

I have to warn people. I went on a Tuesday (today 8/22/23) with four of my coworkers. I got a two meat plate ($20 total with a drink, they only offer bottled drinks which are $3) with their only offering of two sides that day, which they apparently put out their worst sides during the week, which was "BBQ" Baked Beans and Potato salad. My meats were ribs and brisket. Let's start with the ribs. They had a taste of something that had been lightly smoked and then thrown on a charcoal grill. They were tender, and they were sizable. The cook chose to leave the rib ends on which was a strange choice. Luckily they were salvageable, by far the best of the worst. Next the brisket. I told my coworkers that it was most similar to a pot roast. There was almost no smoke flavor to my cut of both lean and fatty sides of the brisket. Yes, it was tender, but there was almost NO flavor at all. I was shocked to see a place call itself BBQ, only to be basically Northern style of cooking. The man behind the meat HAD to be from somewhere else, because this was the worst brisket I've had in Texas, hands down. Lastly the sides. Oh boy. What a terrible surprise. The beans were absolutely dumpster fire beans. I think if I hired a homeless man he could've whipped up something better than this place. The beans had a weird Asian flavoring in them, I think it had some sort of strong ginger flavor in them. It was very strange. Nasty aftertaste like rotten cheese. Very watery. There were bits of meat in them, sausage and what appeared to be an attempt at pork belly (failed). The last bite I could take was the potato salad, which I was PRAYING would be a palate cleanser for my tongue. NOT. It was full of onions, way too many. Absolutely inedible and I'm not a picky person. Do not come here. Save your $20 and cook yourself something better at home. I was really hoping this place would be a Pearl but it should just be abandoned. I'm hoping this place can turn itself around. Also, do not expect classic southern cooking. I'm actually glad that there was no cornbread there or biscuits, because they would've been tarnished just by being in proximity of that meal. The only positive thing I can say was the lady at the front was actually very nice and did a great job.

Hate to leave a bad review but the lady greeting and taking orders has a bad attitude..didn't like her attitude the first time, came back a few months later..same smart ass attitude.. customer service is negative...and the food wasn't what I was expecting, seems like they put it inside an oven to cook, flavor not good at all..

I ordered this for a work event and it was a huge hit. Generous portions, fall of the bone ribs, luscious brisket etc. I became popular on the basis of Flossie's Only downside is the order was a bit later than scheduled but it was a large order so I understand. And the food was so good everyone forget they had to wait

Tender brisket, ribs falling off the bone, delicious beans, wonderful greens with ham hock. Desserts were good too! Great place to get your BBQ longings fulfilled.

Incredible food and hospitality! Our family of 6 (2 kids) had more than enough to eat with four plates. We had a loaded baked potato, brisket, sausage, ribs, plus sides of greens, dirty rice, potato salad, and baked beans. The greens were incredible, the rice had shredded brisket along with perfect spices, and the potato salad was fluffy and delicious. We also grabbed a couple of huge cupcakes for dessert. We live on the other side of town, but we'll be back!

Came here during lunch with a coworker. He got the chopped beef baked potato and I got the three meat plate with sausage, ribs and brisket. The meal came with beans and potato salad. Brisket and ribs were tender and had the right amount of smoke flavor and the sausage had great flavor and texture. My coworker raved about his potato. Very friendly staff and great service! Looking forward to coming back!

They take forever to get your food. You have three things in a menu and it takes an hour to get your food. Barbecue was dry as hell like their service I never come back again in this place again, and see it to all my coworkers. I got a better chance go to dickeys barbecue.

The man here was very nice and polite The sausage was good he will let you try it first The place had sports on the tv and it has options of desserts the area was nice it was clean and smelt good and I would recommend this place.

After viewing other Yelp reviews, we stopped here on our way back home from New Orleans to California. The restaurant was very clean, the young lady serving us was very nice, and the owner was attentive and friendly. The brisket, ribs with the meat falling off the bones, sausage, potato salad, and baked beans were absolutely delicious!! The best I have ever had! I'm so glad we made time for this stop.

The gentleman seemed like the manager or owner. Very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing plus we got a free cupcake to show his appreciation. First time here we came because of the reviews the place was very chill the game was on, didn't disappoint!

Hopefully this review will lead many more to this hidden gem! I was craving a bbq potato like crazy so I searched online for a good spot near me. This place was the closest to me, but they only had one review which made me hesitant. I'm so glad I came here!! The experience was amazing from the customer service down to the ridiculously delicious baked potato! This will definitely become my new favorite BBQ spot! Try 'them out, you won't be disappointed! Ps: Did I mention the potato was colossal...

The owner and employee are friendly and helpful with choosing off the menu. Now to the food, the brisket was really moist not to smoky and flavorful. The FULL LINK was also juicy and flavorful, the ribs where on point not tough or falling apart. They have spare ribs which are the best , everyone offers the St Louis cut now which means they cut the fatty piece on the end off that's full of flavor. Potato salad is really good , beans where ok. Bbq sauce had a good flavor , not overpowering the meat. We're going back this weekend. Staff super friendly! I can't believe I have missed this place. Tried during lunch but they are closed on Monday. Prices are really good. No menu just a board. Got out plate OMG!! So very good amazing! Potato salad was so home made good! Beans perfect. I can't say enough about the ribs!

Visited this location before flying back to Oregon. The food was fabulous! My guy and I shared a plate. It was loaded with goodness and the greens were melt in your mouth. Hope to return during my next visit.

Drove here from downtown. Not open at 1140, despite hours saying they open at 1130. Lights off, doors barred. Maybe its closed? Too bad, not coming back

occasion: work lunch so good and worth waiting for. He has a moist brisket, and loaded potatoe and it's AMAZING he is so nice and they keep the place SO clean Flossie's is a highlight for the week... always look forward to the Flossie's treat . i recently found this place & it's SOLID--food is great & service is always kind. i appreciate the simple menu because that means Flossie is attending to all details with particular focus (not dividing time & spreading efforts too thin). food portions are generous! get there early...

Loved the food!! Service was nice! It took a few mins to get the order but worth the wait. The food is tasty and fresh. Potato Salad -oh my! The baked potato is huge, two people can eat on it unless you are a big eater. The ribs, the meat fell off the one. Brisket was tender as well. Over all a great experience, a must return to eat again.

I work in the area and decided to give this place a try. I don't get much time for lunch so I ordered a chopped beef sandwich to go. I waited 35 minutes and still did not receive my sandwich. I noticed there were several people there before me that also had not received their food. I tried to be patient but I was already beyond my allotted lunch time. I asked the cashier if they could cancel my order and refund my money as I was out of time. She went to the back and informed them of the situation. The cook(maybe owner) brought my food out and offered to give me a drink or desert for the inconvenience. I declined and just said I'm simply out of time. The sandwich was amazing and the portion was very generous. The staff were very nice and the place was clean. I'll probably give them another try one day

Incredible brisket, simple but very tasty ribs, but I was blown away by the sausage. It was smoky and juicy with not too thick of a casing. The owner (?) was so kind and gave me a few bites of the sausage as an extra to my 2 meat plate. He also gave me a delicious cupcake to enjoy- all complimentary. The small, location was nice with sports on all of the tvs. Overall, a truly fantastic bbq experience that you shouldn't pass up.

This place is legit. And the owner is an awesome dude. If you want BBQ, this is a must stop!

Amazing BBQ! I was so happy with the 3 meat plate and the chopped beef sandwich! The brisket is juicy not dry at all! The ribs were cooked to perfection fall off the bone, and the sausage link they give you is a full link sliced. The sauce is delicious as well as the sides potato salad and baked beans were also on point. We will most definitely be returning they staff/owner was also very kind and helpful helped me with the ordering process as it was our first time there. more than enough food for me and my husband to share very generous portions

I've stopped in 2 days in a row and the BBQ sandwiches were awesome! The sauce was great. I won't be going anywhere else for BBQ. Only problem is the BB is so good he keeps running out. He's open Tuesday thru Saturday. I guess I have to get there early. Can't wait to try the other items on the menu.

Some of the best BBQ around the Houston area. We had brisket, ribs, and sausage and everything was excellent. My husband and I really liked the BBQ sauce, it had a little spice to it . We will definitely be back. The owner was really nice.
