"Flour & Grape in Bermondsey shouldn’t just be thought of as a Padella back-up, although it is close by, because you should come to this walk-in-only spot to try the roast pork shoulder tortelloni regardless. Like all the best things in life, these guys come with a lot of butter. A paddling pool of butter and sage to be precise. This place is an easy win on all fronts really. "We like to refer to Flour & Grape’s roasted pork shoulder tortelloni as magic meat parcels and guest what, we haven’t even had a drink yet. As well as great handmade pasta for around the £12 mark, this casual Italian spot in Bermondsey is also home to specialist gin bar, Two One Four. Finish your tiramisu gelato then head downstairs for a Campari G&T in a bar that has a sort of lovely fashionable lumberjack look—yes, we’ve decided that’s a thing. This Bermondsey pasta restaurant is incredibly straightforward: it makes a range of handmade pastas - like tortelloni, bucatini, or pappardelle - in a variety of classic sauces. "Apparently they’ve deleted their Hinge profile. Which is just one of the 86 approved ways of saying ‘I think I like you’ in the 21st century. Dinner at Flour and Grape is another. This handmade pasta spot in Bermondsey has a downstairs gin bar that says ‘I’ve seen you naked’ and an upstairs restaurant that says ‘I don’t want to see anyone else naked’. The roasted pork shoulder tortelloni should be your go-to order here, but all of the pastas are pretty decent and affordable. "Flour & Grape is another pasta-focused spot, and it’s where you should be if the lines at Padella are just too long, and much like Padella, you can get an excellent plate of pasta for a tenner or less. We suggest ordering the roasted pork shoulder tortelloni which is so good, it will make you temporarily forget that other pasta-focused restaurants even exist in London.
