This place always has the sweetest most enthusiastic and caring staff. Every time I’m in it’s a joy. Also I’m obsessed with the “pop tart”. The flavors rotate but I can’t leave without one. Also love both the sparkling cold drinks and the warm espresso based ones with housemate syrups. Fun events and cute local goods are here too!

Love to come here, I’m devastated it’s closing soon and it’s making me wish I came more often. I’ve brought my friends plenty of times and they’ve always enjoyed it, service has always been friendly and kind. I even brought my friend who visited from Mexico and she was just infatuated with the entire place and they were so cordial and warm when she practiced her English with the staff. Environment is so relaxing and decorations are stunning. Thank you Flour Bloom for your service 🥹

What a lovely little boutique cafe! I’ve been here a few times, admittedly I keep coming back for the pastries. Anyone who is interested in vegan pastries: the vegan croissant here tops the charts. I also love their handmade pop tarts. Overall I love the environment, the beautiful humans who work here have been nothing but fabulous, and the pastries are on point!

Fun cafe with delicious food. I love getting the pizza for breakfast with sausage gravy. Coffee is good too but have had to wait longer than 15mins on busy days.

Look no further for the loveliest staff, the most aesthetically pleasing vibes, and delish food & drink options! There are ample vegan options, the coolest local art / goodies for sale, and a photo booth Flour Bloom is one of my favorite cafes in the city!

I went to this place today at my daughter's suggestion, and it did not disappoint. I had a bacon breakfast sandwich, and let me tell you that it would possibly be the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. It had a brioche bun, egg, candied maple bacon, a tad spicy sauce, but the biggest surprise was the inserted hashbrowns. Yep, it was a very welcomed surprise, and an absolutely must get this sandwich now.

Great atmosphere and vibe here. This is a fun place to hang out and relax. Very well decorated and furnished. However, every time we’ve visited we’ve been disappointed by the food. At best the treats have been so-so tasting, at worst it’s tasted like they spilled a cleaning product into the dough. Either way, the taste has never matched the very high price that they charge here. (For example, we paid around $12 for two small treats.) It’s hard to justify coming back and paying these prices when we have delicious options like Crema right around the corner. I’m also not a fan of the forced 20% tip on all transactions. I’m generally a good tipper, but I don’t enjoy the loss of agency by being forced to pay a high tip on already-overpriced food. Additionally, when we visited today they called the forced tip a “Tax” on the payment screen, which felt misleading to me. They did NOT pop up an additional tip screen, at least. Overall, I think today is the last time I will visit this cafe unless I hear news that they start changing things drastically. I love the vibe here and hope they figure out the food and pricing structure.

What a beautiful, thoughtfully curated space. Another lovely place that must shut their doors too soon. My son and I loved coming here together. I will miss the pop tart and dancing under the disco balls, our last day there was the VHS swap and the shop was full of happy people enjoying a rainy Sunday under the same roof!!! Also want to mention that the hateful reviews here must be apart of someone’s sad and miserable plan to make themselves feel better about their smallness. THE REAL ONES KNOW. RIP FB, gone too soon and best of luck with your future endeavors and beyond 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Yelp
Super cute and worth the hype. Obsessed with the latte! I ordered the seasonal flower bloom latte with oatmilk and enjoyed it. The pastries are my favorite. Obsessed with the rainbow cake and butter cookie. VEGAN and gluten-free. I also like how there's a 20% auto-gratitude charge!

Yelp
I am a born and bred New Yorker, so I had high expectations for this place. I do hope they can make it long term, but some small changes are needed. The ambiance is beautiful! I think that is the absolute highlight of the shop. It's a huge space and when I went in around 9:15AM on a Sunday there were about 8 people sitting and one other person in line. Stunning plants and great light. I got a rainbow cookie, a butter cookie, a pistachio cannoli, and a chocolate chip cannoli. They all looked beautiful, but the rainbow and butter cookie didn't stand out. I did really love the texture of the cannolis, but I wished the crème in the middle also had mixed in toppings. I also didn't like that there was an automatic 20% gratuity. It wasn't busy when I went in but the staff were impersonal and didn't help me with picking or explaining items. I didn't think the service I received reflects this automatic charge, but I'd understand a 10% or even 15% charge to ensure good staff pay. I will go back to see if the sandwiches or other items are better, as I love the concept, but I'm not in a rush.

Yelp
I would have much preferred not to spend my past weekend arguing with Bree (the owner of Flour Bloom) or making this review, but she has a pattern of being rude and aggressive with customers on Instagram for giving any sort of not 100% rosy feedback, even when done politely, while also claiming to be the victim. I have no doubt she deals with a lot of hostile people online who hide behind a screen to say terrible things- but I've seen plenty of instances now where it is clear Bree is the bully. I've never seen a business owner behave like this. It is baffling and childish, honestly. She also was spreading lies about someone on her personal Instagram who left a bad review, falsely claiming they were being threatening and aggressive when they were not and continued to not honor their pronouns and gender identity to further the narrative of being victimized by a man. Yes, their Insta comment was a little snarky but it was nothing warranting her claims and blasting my friend publicly on her personal and public account of nearly 2k followers. That could have lasting consequences. She also was pretty rude to me in comments on Insta, claiming I was not being truthful about having previously been told incorrect information and having polite feedback comments deleted until I showed her screenshots but she did not publicly apologize for how she spoke to/accused me. Until Bree takes responsibility for how she has treated people, I'd urge folks not to patronize Flour Bloom. It's a shame because as someone also from Long Island, I was super hyped about this place and bringing people here, and I was recommending Flour Bloom a lot. I did really enjoy the rainbow cookies, even though they weren't traditional enough to truly be rainbow cookies imo. Also loved the vibe and concept. I was truly rooting for Flour Bloom to succeed until witnessing this behavior over the past few months and these most recent interactions. If you search Reddit there is even more information out there that would make people not want to support Flour Bloom. If you want Italian pastries and sandwiches without the hatefulness, try Sebastiano's, Giuseppe's Bakery, Montelupo, or Bella's Italian Bakery. If you want top notch pastries of any kind, Petunia's is amazing and everything there is delicious, vegan, and gluten free, so you can bring anyone. I also want to plug some of the small businesses that truly deserve more hype for their quality and because they are run by great people. Most of these places are either entirely vegan or have vegan options and are also women or queer-owned. I'm not even vegan and think these vegan places are great! Check out Ben & Esthers (vegan NY deli), Chubby Bunny (vegan breakfast sandwiches), The Groovy Floret (for tasty vegan tacos and more with 1970s flare), Fried Egg I'm in Love (fantastic breakfast sandwiches and vibes), and Gnarly's (amazing vegan burgers and Sunday Drag Brunch). These are truly welcoming places with great food that deserve more love! For cute locally made gifts, I'd buy direct from the artists you see in Flour Bloom. You can also check out Tender Loving Empire, Ruby Mercantile, and Citizen Ruth (all small businesses). There are so many awesome places in Portland to support that deserve patronage.

Yelp
Yummy pastries! We got the citrus tart and the snickers crueler, both were lovely. Service was excellent. There's also a cute gift shop with plants, earrings, etc.

Yelp
Uhhh how cute? I'm always looking for cute shops that are "instagram" worthy. (I don't even have instagram but it's the vibe? This is such a retro feeling cute spot. It's welcoming, it's spacious, there's lots of options for drinks and snacks. The staff are incredibly sweet and knowledgeable of the menu. There's parking that's easy to find. A cute Photo Booth? Games and activities to do. Shopping for little trinkets or plants. Plenty of space to find your special spot. Truly, I couldn't find anything bad about it!
google avatar

Yelp
Flour Bloom is so cute! It's adorable retro vibes with disco balls and fun colors. They have fun specialty drinks like the "Samoa" latte I had (caramel, vanilla, chocolate and coconut milk) and amazing looking pastries and cookies. I had a chocolate covered croissant with Marion berry and almond filling that was delicious but maybe too sweet for some.

Yelp
I wanted to visit this spot so badly. Pastry and plants sounded so good. It is in one half of the former Stark vacuum store (gladly the other part is still holding Stark's local and very traditional vacuum store - hard to find those specialist stores anywhere!). So upon entrance, the spot 100% was what I had in mind on the right-hand side a selection of plants and pots - on the left side lives the bakery or pastry part. And throughout the very generous guest room are plants all over! Quirky, lovely, and exactly as I would have imagined. Great job felt good sitting in here. There is also a Passfoto booth in the corner. The shock came when I saw the pastry and the prices. But first, the good stuff: I had a medium oat milk (don't talk about it!!! :)) latte and a rainbow cookie. Ended up at $15 (including a mandatory tip of 20% - which means it will be added automatically - the tips will be shared with the whole team. But I'll know people who are discussing why you have not the choice - well you have since you can add more haha). The coffee was good and the cookie was great and delicious. Until 11:30 they also offer some breakfast sandwiches with homemade Kaiser rolls. The cheapest is about $13 and goes up to $16 for a bacon, egg and cheese. The sandwiches are not big. A regular role and a regular amount of things they throw on. I hardly find the price fair for not tbh. As much as I love the space (so gorgeous and built with much love and it's so spacious) I have a hard time not taking a star away from the high prices, In addition when I call a shop "pastry and plants" in the sub-line I was expecting a much wider selection of pasties. They are offering three different kinds of cookies (which the rainbow cookie is really more of an artful three layered cake and really good!), a regular and one almond filled croissant, two or three different filled cannelloni's and at the time of my visit In March 2024 one extra pastry looking tiramisu(ish) item. Plus at breakfast time the sandwiches. I get that the space is huge and that means expansive in rent, the remodel has not been cheap you can see that in every corner - the kitchen is outstanding in the back, big and modern. And the items that are on the menu (for example the rainbow cookie) are made with an extra thought and touch. Everything is "virtual" sprinkled looks great and tastes delicious. But in the end, would I come Back? No - maybe for a coffee only that is fair priced, and to enjoy the atmosphere of the spot. But not for the pastries. I had a hard time getting over the prices and the limited amount of choices in pastry I found. And talking about the prices you have to pay for the Photo Booth pictures as well! The concept - great The food & coffee - delicious Pricing and selection - hmmmm Tips mandatory at 20% - hmmm you have to order the items at the counter - then your order number will be yelled by the (very lovely worker bees) and you have to pick them up at the counter yourself. So not sure if everybody would tip 20% for that. Also, I find it a total mismatch that you design a space that has a cool vibe and then they don't even care to ask for your name to yell out - but a number. Hmmm For those reasons pricing - a limited selection of such delicious pastries - and the concept at the counter I take away two stars. I wanted the concept to work and make this my favorite coffee place in town but it's hard to do. (It's also really cold inside tbh! Would have loved a warm spot in the rainy weather!) I said I do not would come back - but I would since everybody gets a second chance (well black bear diner will not haha) I sure will come back after a while and see if there have been made changes since this store is still in their first six months of opening and they might listen to feedback!

Yelp
Pretty cookies and drinks. Taste wise just OK. Would come here more for the IG/aesthetics. Latte specials were too overly sweet to notice any of the flavor subtleties. Space is very cute with nice modern furnishings. 20% auto gratuity is a bit strange for a coffee shop, but I guess they at least try to tell you that at checkout.
google avatar

Heather S.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful and well thought out space. It's spacious, tastefully decorated, and modern boars games are available. Food is extremely over priced and mediocre at best. My latte was cold, sandwich hard. Cookies are like $9, sandwiches $17. 20% gratuity is mandatory for counter service. Seems steep to be handed a cold sandwich from a refrigerator.
google avatar

Gloria T.

Yelp
The best thing about this cafe is the ambience. The space is large, lots of comfortable seatings. There are table/board games available. The decor and theme is cute. There is a section of local artist co-signment, plants and other products for sale. The cannoli was good. The cups are cute, and they simmered some golden sparkles on top of my drink. This is where the good things end. The other bakery items didn't look too appealing so we decided not to try them, especially priced at $8 +. Each of our drinks were different - and we all thought it wasn't good. I was very surprised that none of us liked our drinks. This is my first time not liking a drink at a cafe. I'm baffled at how this can go wrong as it's a staple item. Auto-gratuity of 20%. The iPad screen will ask for gratuity again. Perhaps this is why service was mediocre. Street parking and it's very hard to find parking in this area.
google avatar

Matthew H.

Yelp
I'll start with the good. The decor is fun and I like the plants and disco balls. The bad: overly sweet and very expensive coffee. Almost no pastries in the case (I was there around 9am in a Sunday and would expect things would be stocked?) only one real breakfast sandwich option and the person I dined with wanted a non runny egg. They said they can not do this (this is a pretty normal request and every other breakfast place I've been do does it without hesitation ration) .They add a 20% tip and definitely did not advise of this so of course we added a normal tip and basically tipped 40% for a very so-so coffee and cookie. Overall a bizarre and underwhelming first impression today. But like I said, it's a cute place otherwise.
google avatar

Charlie T.

Yelp
A neat spot that is across the bridge in the Eastside. Parking can be challenging in this area. The place is pretty spacious and has that retro disco feeling vibes to it. We ordered a few pastries to share. The canoli and pistachio cookies were great. The pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant) was a bit rich for us.
google avatar

Melia F.

Yelp
The main reason for the 3 stars is I wasn't aware there was a 20% automatic charge for gratuity, and that seems insane when all I got was cookies to go. Especially because I didn't see any notification about it until my card was swiped, and then I was still prompted for an additional tip on top of that! Pay your employees more? Other than this, the cookies are super tasty, and the atmosphere is cute. Pricing seems a bit steep compared to other similar places, I think my 6 cookies came out to almost $50. I'm glad I tried this place once for the novelty, but I'm not sure I'd make it a regular stop! Love the idea tho, kind staff and the vibe inside is clearly very well thought out.
google avatar

Wendy M.

Yelp
Instagram worthy scenery . The cannolis were perfection. I think I'll just order them freshly made so the cannoli shell is crispy. The rainbow cookies were delicious. You've got to try the pistachio cookie, too good. Their Sandwhiches are also amazing
google avatar

Melissa P.

Yelp
Very cute place but chaotic and had an unsafe experience: I ordered a sandwich and ate half of it it, brought the other half home to my husband and he found small metal shavings in it. They're tiny, but there's a lot of them and we're now concerned about the impact after eating it. This place needs to get the health and logistics in place before continuing business. This is extremely alarming.
google avatar

Rayne M.

Yelp
Came mid morning on a Friday, interior is super cute with the 70s theme, not much in the way of customer service and the menu wasn't clear, display case was pretty empty too. We got breakfast sandwiches and a cannoli plus lattes. They were good- here's my issue and what seems to be the issue of other reviewers on here: 18% gratuity added automatically and prices that are already pretty outrageous in my opinion, 16 bucks for a breakfast sandwich? 8 bucks for a rainbow cookie? And the little plant shop and local made art is also very adorable and inviting but again the prices are just way too high, I get its handmade and as the owner you're trying to make your profit margin high but as the customer I need to be able to afford or no one wins. It's a tough world for small business and with this set up not sure if this place will last.
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
Cute space, super friendly staff. Espresso machine was broken when we visited. Had the gigantic focaccia/mozzarella sandwich and mushroom focaccia. The sandwich was not great. It was too much of everything, but not in a good way. The mushroom one was pretty good. I think the pace is just overhyped.
google avatar

Anna Z.

Yelp
4.5/5 First of all, the vibes here are immaculate. The decor, the plants, the glitter in the coffee - I love it. Very gen Z coded, and a super great concept. The local art / wares they sell are also awesome to browse. I got a chai latte and breakfast sandwich, though I did consider their vast selection of beautiful little baked treats (will have to be back to try those). They don't have any decaf coffee options unfortunately, sad for my fellow caffeine sensitive girlies. But, chai was nicely spiced, and you can ask for it unsweetened. The breakfast sandwich was good, cheesy with a runny egg yolk, but my only complaint is that the bread roll was a bit dry. Service was friendly and pretty fast considering there was a line. Prices were on the high side.
google avatar

Lois M.

Yelp
Nice inside vibe, great cortado, lots of seating and tables. Parking is on the street which can be challenging and no food is served between 11 and 12, so arriving here at 11:30 with a growling tummy meant I could get a coffee but no real food (pastries are served all the time). Maybe I'll be back to try a sandwich but I can say the cortado was delicious.
google avatar

Alexis D.

Yelp
I met a friend here to visit for my first time and when simply parking on the street you notice a fun outside with big windows displaying all of the joyful folks enjoying food and beverages indoors, it immediately made me excited to be checking out this spot. All of the plants and local crafts for sale are a lot of fun, and I love how open it is inside with different styles of seating. At first I had a bit of sticker shock upon seeing the prices, I couldn't believe I was seeing a relatively regular sized cookie for $5- but once I saw that is because every item has a 20% gratuity built into the price for the staff I got over it. Overall I really enjoyed the vibe of the place, and was very impressed by the quality of their pain au chocolate! It ranks up with the top chocolate croissants I've enjoyed in Portland.

HJ M.

Yelp
2 walls of windows. Welcoming staff. Plant disco vibes. Pricey goods. Dee. Lish. Uhhs!
google avatar

Brittany B.

Yelp
Came here with a friend in a Sunday around 9am. There was no line and some seating open. Counter service was great and informative on explaining drinks and pastries. Im not vegan or gluten free, but they did have a lot of those options which I thought was nice. We went with the chocolate cannoli, rainbow cookie, breakfast sandwich and both had a latte. Everything was delicious! The only issue I had was the sandwich was a little "bready" so we just took off the top bun. Ambiance is SO aesthetically pleasing! I literally can't say it enough. Everything in there is so cute and well thought out. I'm giving 4 stars only because it was a bit pricey. Our ticket came out to about $50 and that was including a 20% added gratuity. But at a place like this you're paying for the whole experience! I will definitely be going back.
google avatar

Angelee W.

Yelp
This review is based solely on the customer service or lack there of I received during my one visit on a Wednesday afternoon. My brother and I went to go check out this place as I've seen it advertised on social media, and thought it was super cute. It wasn't busy at all, and everything was super cute. We stood in front of the counter directly in front of four workers but were completely ignored for several minutes before deciding to just leave. The workers were directly in front of us and they were busy chatting with one another. For a place that has an automatic 20% gratuity I would think an acknowledgement is the least they could do. The pastries are not the cheapest but I would've been fine with the price and automatic gratuity if we had received decent service or even acknowledgement. Disappointing to say the least.
google avatar

Nina N.

Yelp
This is truly a spot that has all of the Portland charm, from supporting local artists to plants and disco balls. Need I say more about reasons why to give this place a try? They had a full crowd for the midweek midday coffee hour. Their drink the gimme s'more made me wish I ordered more with a larger cup. It was stacked high with whipped cream, marshmallows and graham crackers and something that looked like glitter. I've seen comments about the 20% auto gratuity and left a tip about their tipping. I'll definitely have to try one of their sandwiches or pastries next time. Definitely a fun place for the area.
google avatar

Grace M.

Yelp
Great place to hang out, chat, meet with friends - not a great place to eat. Granted, I only tried the breakfast sandwich and none of the pastries, but to me it was a classic case of style over substance. HOWEVER, the vibes are stellar inside. I hung out here for a couple hours catching up with a friend (we have a mini club hehe), and I've never felt so comfortable in a coffee shop before! Started filling up around 11/11:30 and got busier from there. The shopping is fun, and how genius to have a photo booth! I recommend visiting but maybe eat before
google avatar

Samantha P.

Yelp
I am extremely shocked that this spot doesn't have 5 stars all around. As much as I love all things coffee, 70's and sweets, I've been avoiding visiting Flour Bloom because it always looks so jam packed on Instagram (which is great for them!) However, a coworker and I spent today working in the cafe and the whole experience completely exceeded our expectations! The cafe is spacious, has a ton of seating and outlets, plays great music, and offers kind, speedy service. I will be back for the green eggs and ham sandwich alone! I can't wait to take everyone here who visits Portland.
google avatar

Kimberly P.

Yelp
Came here after seeing it on Instagram and falling in love with their decor. I came in on Saturday at 8am, after their opening on Thursday. That seemed to be the right time to arrive because the line didnt start until after me. The coffee was great & had glitter on top. I wish I could have tried all of their drinks! The croissant was thick and dense but not in a bad way; just in a way I'd never had a croissant. It was great dipped in the coffee! The rainbow cookie was yummy & had an almond flavor. The top reminded me of a Gansito from Mexico so was very nostalgic for me. The decor was so beautiful in person & I could tell how much thought was put into it. The photobooth was incredible & it's the first time my friend & I were both able to fit comfortably in a photobooth so that was amazing! Definitely would come back!
google avatar

Danielle W.

Yelp
Beautiful space, beautiful people, beautiful pastries, beautiful handmade beverages. I was so impressed with the ambiance and the vibe the employees were radiating. You could tell these people love slinging drinks and dishing out cookies. I wanted to try a little of everything so I ordered to go; vanilla iced chai, hot hazelnut americano, rainbow cookie (don't even get me started-drool worthy) and the best I have ever had perfectly crisp, flaky, chewy, airy, mouth watering almond croissant. Go for yourself. Make your own decision and experience the hype!
google avatar

James W.

Yelp
Tipping is archaic. They automatically charge 20% plus the machine goes to a screen to tip extra on top of that. Ridiculously expensive. If 10$ cookies or 30$ breakfasts are your thing, this is your place. There is great coffee options that costs half the price in close proximity. Solution: Get rid of tips, add those costs to the price of the item. Increase transparency. Everyone wins
google avatar

Robin H.

Yelp
Delicious pastries and coffee. Flour Bloom helped me introduce cannolis to a coworker and now he's a huge fan. Welcoming and comfortable vibe in the shop, would definitely stay next time.
google avatar

Nika N.

Yelp
Drinks were good. Fun flavors. cute decor lots of space to sit and enjoy. Cookies are pretty, tasted like a normal sugar cookie with jam. I think this is a fun place to check out once or if you're visiting Portland and you want a Instagram worthy place. I wouldnt go out of my way to come back. Service was okay. 20% gratuity is auto added to all orders and additional tipping screen still shows when checking out. Which I think is presumptuous. This is just counter service and not great service.

Becca B.

Yelp
$7.20 for one cookie is actually insane. I just don't see how they're justifying these prices. We have an abundance of amazing bakeries in this city, so I feel if you're going to charge above the premium - it better be the best array of treats you could imagine. Not the case here.
google avatar

Kaytie K.

Yelp
Absolutely stunning & cozy atmosphere and everything I've tried so far is beyond delicious. The owner is an absolute sweetheart, the staff is wonderful and bubbly, and the service was fairly quick for how packed it was. 10/10, would recommend! There are some negative reviews referring to some hiccups during the initial grand opening... but I feel like that's to be expected with such a massive opening right before the holiday season, no? Yes there's been lots of hype for this place before it's opening, but at the end of the day- this is a small locally owned business which is why I say all my expectations were greatly surpassed by a long shot. Keep up the good work, Bree!

Destiny P.

Yelp
I walked in to check out this place and immediately noticed all the plants. I love plants but none of them caught my eye. I then strolled on to the candles ($45! I put that down immediately - it did smell nice but not enough to cover the price tag), earrings, scents, etc. I then strolled over to look at their baked goods (the 3 or 4 that were left.) I didn't notice much of a menu above to order from. I turned looking at the few people in there, listened to someone in the back talking to the person up front and left. No one greeted me. No one asked if I needed help or if I had any questions. I'm not sure if they knew or cared I was in there. If this continues, you may not have enough business to carry on. Sadly. Especially in this economy. Hope things turn around for you guys. Perhaps hire people who actually care about your business and the customers who come to visit. We're not going to give businesses money to be ignored.
google avatar

Jojo T.

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance, but overall the price for sparkling lattes and baked goods is not worth it. I read a couple of responses on here that there is a sign for auto-gratuity of 20%, and that the employees would let you know that it's added on your bill, but THAT IS FALSE! 10/10 will not be visiting again. There are so many options in Portland that can really give you a great cup of coffee.

Yelp
Cute vibe. Nice staff. Great breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Cute Photo Booth. Lots of awesome booths

Yelp
This is a review by a vegetarian I've come here five times: Once they were closed due to a broken oven. Once they closed early Twice , within 30 minutes of open, only items made the previous day in the refrigerated case were available One time, they were out of croissants so I got a rainbow cookie and a butter cookie. It's pretty good but not WOW. Very, very expensive plus mandatory 20% gratuity. Cards only Lovely interior. Maybe the coffee and sandwiches are good? Otherwise I don't know why this place is slammed. I'm done trying it. Really desperate for a good Italian bakery but in the meantime there are better alternatives nearby

Nikki N.

Yelp
First off would like to start off with their menu. Coffee and food menu was kind of small, but they had fun flavors for the coffee and more simple sandwiches. The vibes of the coffee shop were super cute along with their little gift shop selection. I adore the art they had, very groovy! What I got: I got the breakfast sandwich (BECSPK) which i thought was good, you can never go wrong with a simple bacon egg cheese sandwich although the top bun was cute, it was quite thick for me. Squishing it down wasn't an option either because of how cheesy it was (LOVED) everything wanted to slide out so for $14.50 it is a bit steep NOT including the 20% added gratuity tip on your total order. I also got the flower child latte in a medium which was $6.5 which i feel leans more a little more on the steeper side for more local coffee shops. Service was alright, people there seemed friendly, but was not giving server status where I thought it was worth 20% gratuity ON TOP of an option to tip more. My total came to $24.50 for a medium latte & sandwich & i also tipped on top $2 which i didn't realize till after.

Yelp
Oh boy. Really wanted to like this place. Let's start with pros: Fun, exciting, and GOOD coffee flavors/drinks Relaxing but upbeat ambiance (seating area) Cool aesthetics Sometimes really nice, cool service team Now the rest... I've gone to FB (Flour Bloom) about 15 times now because it's close to where I work. I get coffee from Crema, Ranger (YUM!!), and most recently Atelier Yaffe. Why would I go to FB if it sucks? Like I said, the special coffee flavor is super yummy. The service is always hit or miss - will this person be friendly or surly? Will I order within 5 minutes of arriving or wait in line 20 minutes? Will I get my food or drink soon or will I wait 10 minutes longer for the same order as the person behind me? Is there 1 person working or 5? I get it - staff shortages - but then at least have that one person acknowledge people in line or have signs about what's being served right now and what's not. Just saw a woman wait in line for 20 minutes only to discover they weren't serving any food. I've been keeping up with IG updates and have tried to be understanding, but a customer can only take so much. I first went to FB to get a rainbow cookie for my New York-based best friend who loves rainbow cookies. I have not bought him another since. Not a good review. Prices are pretty appropriate for a trendy bakery in Portland, honestly. But not for the quality. On the menu they are listed as $8 and on the display they are $9.60. Is that the auto-grat price? Not everything is labeled and there isn't much consistency, unfortunately. Why finally write a review? The redeeming quality - that yummy coffee - no good and didn't include everything it usually does. I would usually nicely ask if I could get those things, but the barista seemed like she (assuming, and apologies if incorrect) did not want to help. Overall, go here once for a coffee or pastry and use the Photo Booth and sit with a game. But you don't need to go more than once, if that. For better cookies, I highly recommend going to The Pie Spot on Sandy where they have $2 chocolate chip cookies that are to die for. Go to Ranger for coffee. Maybe FB will figure it out. I really hope so. PS - they have a stamp card system, but after paying $7-9 for a single coffee drink, you will NOT get a stamp because stamps are $10+ (lol what)

Yelp
So far I've been here thrice and have only tried the matcha, two of their specialty lattes, the butter cookie, and the cannoli. Drinks are average, what is the butter cookie supposed to be, it's awkward to eat, hard, and doesn't taste great. Cannoli, eh, not much flavor, kinda soggy. The most important thing for me is hospitality and unfortunately Flour Bloom didn't score. Regardless of the mediocre menu, there's so much to be amped up about! Great atmosphere, although it's always cold, comfortable seating, plenty of plants, and so many local art pieces and trinkets to purchase. I'll come back another time just because the ambiance is there and I liked the matcha, but I'm staying far away from their $17 sandwiches!! (+20% gratuity automatically added)... like dude.

Yelp
I will preface my review that I am from Long Island, and so with so much advertising that this shop would bring my east coast treats to me, I went in hoping for just that. I got the breakfast sandwich, a coffee (the dear Francis), a butter cookie and a rainbow cookie. First.. that cost me almost $42. Seems like a lot for those 4 items. Part of that is the automatic 20% tip. The coffee was tasty but very sweet. By the end, the last 4-5 sips were impossible because it was so sweet. The breakfast sandwich had all the right ingredients, including ketchup, but the bread was overpowering and there was a bit too much cheese. Also, the homemade bread has a pink flower on it, and it stained my fingers pink. The butter cookie was too much butter flavor and nothing else, until you get to the chocolate part. That at least tasted decent. The rainbow cookie is not your Italian east coast delicacy. The cake part is too spongy and is missing the stronger almond/raspberry taste. Now everyone's tastes are different, and if you aren't trying to compare to actual New York Italian bakeries, then you may like it. The place is cute, but was very cold inside. I couldn't even take my jacket off to enjoy my breakfast. The menu is very limited. 3 drinks and 3 sandwiches. That may grow with time. The music was great. 80's music playing the whole time I was in there. Overall with the "sparkle" stuff on everything... the cookies, the coffee, I feel like everything is being done for the gram instead of for the food.

Yelp
this is THE cutest and THE most insta-picturesque coffeeshop in SE portland. plants, disco balls, funky furniture, iridescent colors on the cups, and a PHOTOBOOTH! come on y'all! there's so much seating to have work meetings, catch-ups, or a cute lunch date. they don't have tables for just 2 people so if you're flying solo be open to sharing a table, booth, or sitting to someone new! i ordered the matcha latte. it comes unsweetened so i added vanilla and oat milk as a dairy alternative! my friend ordered a flaky almond croissant and the cutest latte! the service is so quick and so helpful and you can tell they love what they do. their bakery is top tier so feel empowered to ask them their favorites or a recommendation! take photos and don't forget to tag them!

Yelp
I finally had the chance to visit that adorable coffee shop I kept seeing on social media. The interior is charming and thoughtfully designed, featuring an abundance of plants, local small business products like ceramics, jewelry, and stickers. Despite the bustling atmosphere with mostly occupied tables, I tried the s'mores coffee - a tad sweet for my taste, but still enjoyable. They also had sweet treats like cookies, cannolis, and sandwiches to enjoy as well.

Yelp
I've been dying to visit Flour Bloom since they've opened! I'm glad I was finally able to go and it was definitely worth the wait. I went on a Sunday around 8:30 AM and I was the only customer there. There's plenty of seating and parking wasn't too bad. The decor and furniture is so so cute! I also love all the items they have for sale from small businesses. Menu was limited, since I visited right after the ice storm, so I completely understand. I ordered the Smores drink, which I believe is only offered for a limited time. I absolutely loved it! The whipped cream on top was like crack, definitely wish I could have a tub for myself at home. I also got a cannoli and rainbow cake to-go. The service was great as well. A lot of reviews mention the 20% automatic gratuity, which they do have a sign right on the tablet. It's not hard to miss at all and I have no problem supporting a small business and paying the 20%. The workers were super friendly and were quick to help! I went into the photo booth, but it ended up taking $5 and wasn't working. I let them know and they checked it as soon as I let them know, told me i'd get a refund by tomorrow, and made sure to put up a sign ASAP. It truly makes me sad seeing that they only have 3.5 stars, however, don't let that deter you from visiting. See for yourself and you'll fall in love with Flour Bloom just like I did!

Yelp
Amazing and special spot! The design and vibe is incredible. It's very spacious! Adorable Photo Booth. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie, rainbow cookie, burrata sandwich, Italian sandwich, and a Dear Francis both hot and cold. Everything was delicious and the sandwiches were MASSIVE. I think the burrata normally comes on a baguette but I got it on focaccia (they may have run out of baguette because it was the grand opening. Photo is one half of each sandwich, my bf and I split them.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE! The service is great, and I love the pastries. Matcha latte and chai latte are 10/10. Pistachio cannoli, rainbow cookie and chocolate chip cookie are amazing. Breakfast sandwiches were okay, wasn't my fav and they were a bit pricy but that doesn't steer me away at all. They even have games you can play while you're in the space. I've been twice now and will be back!

Yelp
LOVED the vibe. Super stoked as a gluten-free person to go but they did have signs saying cross-contamination could be happening and the gluten-free butter cookie I got was an adorable purple sparkly thing that not only looked like play doh but also tasted like it so points for aesthetic but totally inedible which was a bummmerr. The chai was sparkles was good though!

Yelp
Absolutely adorable cafe with a comfy, seating room vibe and colorfully painted walls. Plants and tzotzskies abound and make the place even more colorful. I really want to say the servers were friendly, but they seemed to fake it, since my family, all originally from Long Island, as are the owner's, couldn't wait to try this new place and said so upon placing our order. I even decked out in my NY best for the visit, but although over bubbly didn't seem to give a shit, even though there really wasn't any line behind us this Thursday AM. The BECK (Bacon Egg Cheese on a Kaiser roll) was very good. Not great, very good. The innards were perfect. It's hard to get NY bread correct unless you have the water, so the roll flavor was there, but it was a bit more dense than the ones from home, not as airy. There is only 1 way to have true NY rolls, pizza, bagels, bread, etc. and that's to import the water. Period. The cookies and pastries were absolutely yummy!! Great effort, and we'll be back!
