"We heard about Flour Craft from a Coeliac staffer and were instantly intrigued. Verifiably good focaccia, sourdough, and brioche? Genuinely tasty airy scones, muffins, and brownies? Whole lavishly decorated cakes? At Flour Craft, the gang’s all here, and every doughy bite is gluten-free. Like all great businesses, this bakery was born from necessity. Founder Heather Hardcastle struggled with gluten and couldn’t find treats and baked goods to satisfy her sweet tooth. Aside from pastries, this spot serves up a full (and deliciously healthy) breakfast and lunch menu every day. Images courtesy of Erin Scott. "

Love the location. This is a terrific place to hang out and have a latte. The lattes were great. The food however was nothing exceptional and on the small side. I’d definitely return but only for the drinks. There was no WiFi so in order to work, we needed to use our own hot spot. There were two public restrooms that were somewhat clean.

Google
had the pleasure of trying the house drip coffee, along with the Tahini Everything Cookie and the Sourdough Chocolate Chip Salted Cookie. The coffee was absolutely delicious, smooth and rich, the perfect companion to their incredible baked goods. The Tahini Everything Cookie is an absolute must-try, offering a unique blend of flavors that’s both savory and sweet. I can’t wait to visit again and explore more of their menu!

Google
The soups are all very delicious. $8 is a good value and they are gluten free and vegan. I was very disappointed with my vegan wrap today. $17 for only a wrap. How about a little garnish. It just looked so lonely. The chorizo walnuts inside didn't have enough flavor. And especially, the tortilla was cold and not soft. Very strange consistency and bite.

Stopped here for a drink and snack after lunch. My friend had a black coffee with an everything cookie and I had an iced chai latte with a sea salt chocolate cookie 🍪 Enjoyed the outdoor seating too!

Delicious baked goods and bread. All gluten free! Lavender lemon scone, sourdough chocolate chip cookie, apricot almond cake, pistachio coffee cake. All approx $5-6 each You can preorder cakes 48 hours in advance. Cons: only open until 3pm on week days and parking/crossing the street can require some patience and extra alert. Edit: ordered a lemon cake here ($80) and it was DRY. Basically inedible. I don’t know if it was one-off flaw or not. Will not be ordering a cake from them again.

Amazing place, friendly staff and comfy outdoor spaces. Love it Highly recommend if you want to grab some coffee with delicious bakery

Google
There are gluten free restaurants where you leave and say “that was really good for gluten free!” Then there are gluten free restaurants where you leave in utter disbelief that the bread and pastries are really gluten free. Flour Craft is one of those. The focaccia is truly phenomenal. As someone who dearly misses bread in her life, the chicken pesto sandwich made my heart sing. The vegan chocolate oatmeal cookies were also very tasty — not too sweet, and great warmed up! Really looking forward to working my way through this menu 🤩

I stopped by Flowercraft & Bakery with my daughter to pick up a small order and enjoy a treat, but unfortunately the experience fell short. A couple of the cookies we ordered were missing from the bag, and I was given regular coffee instead of the decaf I specifically requested. The cashier seemed distracted and more focused on a phone call than helping customers. It wasn’t the warm, attentive service I was hoping for. Disappointing visit for what should have been a simple, enjoyable stop.

Yelp
I'm not a sweets person but... This place is bomb. I had a vegan donut here recently and I definitely wanted to come back. We were kinda undecided on what we wanted to order and the person who helped us was super chill snd helpful. So glad we went with her recommendations. I'll definitely be back. I gotta try more stuff!

Yelp
I love this place. As someone who tries to veer on the vegan/gluten free side of options, I appreciate their menu and selection. They make their own GF breads that actually tastes GOOD - I wouldn't even know it's GF, which says a lot! I love getting savory tartines here, they have some vegan options, and usually have soups + plenty of delicious baked goods. The location is great imo, it's in a small lumber yard in mill valley and a great place to hang out weather permitting. I've only had positive experiences with the staff, and all my food has been delicious. My favorite here is a vegan option of miller tartine (no egg) on a bagel

Yelp
My favorite avocado toast in California!! They have a lot of interesting toasts and tartines, but don't miss their classic avocado toast! It's simple but the blend of avocado toast, herb cream cheese, olive oil, chili flakes, on their protein toast is so good! I think it's also their bread that makes it special - I'm not gluten free but their bread is so spongy soft and just crunchy at the edges - it's so good!! We also got the loaded avocado toast - classic with smoked salmon and egg and I think this is the one. It's the same as classic with a perfect gooey runny egg and good quality smoked salmon. The area is super cute with lots of outdoor seats, shops, and parking! This will be my stop in any north bay adventure.

Yelp
WOW.wow.wow. I just became gf and flour craft is now my saving grace whenever I'm craving fluffy delicious gluten. The focaccia this would be a great bread with all other wheat breads in the running. The menu is also so vast, I cannot wait to try everything!! Not only was the food good, but the mill valley location was on the most adorable creek with cute outdoor seating and rustic ambience. I could bring a book and spend my whole day there! The service was also fantastic answering all my questions:)

Yelp
I came here for the cinnamon roll and jazzy avocado toast. I liked the avocado toast. The ratio of avocado was good. The cinnamon roll was served cold. It is small inside so the seating is outside. It can be cold but there are heaters at the tables.

Yelp
Had the breakfast burrito with scrambled egg & walnut chorizo. Very tasty. I even looked up a recipe for walnut chorizo afterward and cannot wait to make at home. Hubby had the Fall Tartine with wild mushrooms, roasted squash, goat cheese spread and picked onions - very, very yummy. Love sitting in the sun at the Lumberyard while munching, makes us feel lucky to live here.

Yelp
Super cute place! I admire and appreciate the fact that they strive for having the best high quality ingredients for their products. Also loved seeing all organic milks/plant based milk options. I tried the banana chocolate chip bread - I noted the taste of a corn base ? Not sure what the base was exactly but I tasted more corn than anything! The banana taste was barely there and it was a tad bit over done/hard on the outside, but I understand because it can be hard to nail down the texture in GF baked goods. I bring up the values of this place because despite the banana bread not being my favorite, I will be back to try their other products and I hope to find something that I do love at this place!

Yelp
Drove up to Mill Valley to go on a lil hike w/ bf, and decided to stop by Flour Craft. It's amazing! I've struggled with going out to eat since my Celiac diagnosis. A part of me died lmao. I feel so grateful that dedicated gluten free spots like Flour craft exist. In fact I think the Bay Area needs more! We tried 2 different Tartines: Stinson and Bridgeway. I prefered Bridgeway! I found Stinsons toppings a bit too tart overall. That's just a personal preference though. The focaccia was crispy and delicious. As far as pastries go we tried: *Cinnamon Roll: I warmed it up a bit at home and preferred it this way but delicious cold as well! *Cacao nib& walnut coffee cake: I found this one to be a bit dry, but still enjoyable and loved the cacao nibs *Signature orange polenta cake: So moist and the chocolate +Orange combo is phenomenal. *coconut pineapple snacking cake: so moist! A tad bit too sweet for me and, would have preferred more coconutty flavor throughout, but would grab again. So excited to go back and try more! Overall this is such a fantastic spot especially if you're gluten free, but even if you're not there's something for everyone! Everyone working there was so sweet. The ambiance was very cute, and located in such a great spot up in redwood nature! Don't hesitate to stop by and support!

Yelp
This place is located in a little red village nestled between 2 roads & surrounded by redwood trees. There are shops and other eateries there. Reminds me of a Hallmark movie as it was festive, there was a fire pit, people playing corn hole, & Santa came. The food at this location was just alright. I thought it was pricey & quality didn't match the cost. I got the Warm Quinoa special & my friend got the taco salad no meat (she's a vegetarian). The food came on camping tin plates. Warm Quinoa: This had coconut milk & cooked apples sprinkled with cinnamon. It was a little watery. When I first looked at it, I thought it was oatmeal. It was alright but overpriced. My mocha w/oat milk was good though. Taco Salad: Unfortunately, my friend thought this was just ok. Would recommend getting something else. They had dessert that looked good but I didn't order any. I would go to grab a pastry or coffee and check out other businesses.

Yelp
This spot is located in a cute little plaza with some other shops that has a chill atmosphere and is fun for people watching. We stopped by after visiting Muir Woods because I'm gluten free and always like to see if there's a gluten free bakery around when visiting a new place. This was the most crowded I've ever seen any 100% gf establishment anywhere, so I'm assuming that most of the customers don't need to eat gf and just like the food anyway. I struggled to decide what to get since there were many savory options that sounded good (a rare dilemma when eating gf) but I settled on a smoked salmon tartine (I think it was the bridge way) and my partner got the sweet waffle. I also got a chocolate chip sourdough cookie because I was curious what that would be like and I've never had the opportunity to eat gf sourdough before. Prices were very high, even for a gf cafe in the Bay Area. However the customer base looked very wealthy so I'm sure that's not a deterrent for most people. My tartine was tasty, but honestly I was disappointed by the bread. They called it focaccia but it was quite flat and just ate like a normal gf bakery toast. The cookie was delicious but I would've had no idea it was sourdough and I don't think that added anything. I would just market it as a chocolate chip sea salt cookie. The best bite was definitely the waffle. Very light and fluffy, and the strawberries were perfectly ripe and sweet. I would come back and order something different if I'm ever in the area again. Wouldn't recommend the tartine but would recommend the cookie and waffle.

Yelp
Always a good time at flour craft. The food is excellent and the charm of the lumber yard is cute

Yelp
I'm a big fan of gluten... but I'm also a big fan of Flour Craft! I've never had a pastry I didn't like, but I'm particularly fond of the walnut coffee cake with cacao nibs and the pound cake - especially the pistachio. If you're looking for something a little more substantial (lunch or breakfast) I always go for the "fancy toasts". The chili flakes on the avocado toast add the perfect bit of bite and I started buying Old Dog Ranch nut butters for home use after trying Heather's toast. I love to sit under the trees at the Mill on a sunny summer day. It makes for great people watching. Be warned that parking nearby can be tough to find when it's busy, but that's true of all of Mill Valley.

Yelp
I stopped here with my cousin who is gluten intolerant. We got a very nice meal and she said the brownie was the best gluten-free brownie she's ever had. Sat outdoors. Which was very nice. Conveniently located on the way to Muir Woods.

Yelp
My partner and I came across Flour Craft Bakery the last time we grabbed dinner at Watershed, and since then it has been on our (mostly mine) to-try list. Just something about cute bakeries really draws me in, haha. We decided to stop by for breakfast today and it was not bad. There's plenty of outdoor seating available, but ordering has to be done inside at the counter first. They have a wide selection of pastries, some drinks, and some more substantial breakfast/brunch items. My partner ended up getting an Orange Polenta Cake, Stinson Tartine, and a small glass of white wine. He originally wanted a nice red wine, but they ended up either running out really early, or they just didn't have the one he wanted to try in-stock (bummer). I ended up going for their seasonal scone (lemon lavender), a Golden Gate Tartine, and a London Fog w/ almond milk. Once we finished ordering, they gave us our pastries and a buzzer for the rest of our order. They have a large window to the side of their entrance for picking up orders. Really cute! Scones tend to be dry, and this wasn't different than usual. It was a little crumbly, and pretty lemon-y. It paired well with my London Fog. I like that it's not that sweet either. The Orange Polenta Cake, however, was featured as a Yelp popular item, and I can see why. The dark chocolate on top is rich, and the polenta cake is moist, soft, and a little gritty from the polenta. It was pretty good! A little sweeter than the scone, but it was a nice sweet to share. As for my main dish, the Golden Gate Tartine, it was not bad. The Golden Gate comes with roasted peppers, cashew cream, shaved vegetables, avocado, and micro greens on top of a walnut sourdough. I thought the walnut sourdough was kind of dense. I think I'd love the sourdough by itself, but it seems to overpower the rest of the ingredients, or the other ingredients just sort of lacked flavor. Shaved veggies this time included radish and cucumber, and both ingredients added a refreshing touch to the tartine. I think my partner's Stinson Tartine was much more flavorable. Kind of herb-y tasting, but was pretty good. All in all, it was an enjoyable breakfast, but next time I'd opt for just a drink and their pastries!

Yelp
Everything so delicious! Pretty long line but did move quickly. Recommend the focaccia. The waffles are very good too and the coffee cake was lovely. Cute area and outside seating with heaters.

Yelp
An excellent GF bakery with modest pricing! Loved their selection of tartines! I also got sweet warmed quinoa for breakfast and it was delicious. Their matcha lattes are pretty tasty as well. Highly recommend for GF-ers!

Yelp
So so delicious! A treat for those who must eat gluten free and enjoyable for those that don't have to! Casual setting, brought our dog, sat outside, perfect day!

Yelp
This is a fun place. You order & pay at the indoor counter & then find a table at one of the many outdoor tables. They have umbrellas at three separate patio tables & there are wooden picnic tables set in a sheltered shaded area, but wear your sunglasses anyway. The food is amazing! We visit Mill Valley once a year & make Flour Craft our breakfast destination every morning we're here. Some days we go back for lunch. The sweet waffle is delicious & hearty. The granola & yogurt bowl is super good. Love their cappuccino & matcha latte. Salads are fresh, filling & yummy. The polenta orange cake is, well, there really are no words.....but, I'll say it's so darn good! The Flour Craft crew is always warm, professional & accommodating. Their outdoor seating (no indoor seating) allows for great people & dog watching. These guys are open for breakfast & lunch only, closing at 3:00 & 4:00, depending on the day. It seems afternoons are busier than mornings. The line to order moves quickly, so don't let that scare you away. One of our favorite places to eat in Mill valley. Bon appetit!

Yelp
Time and time again Heather and the team at Flour Craft impress me. They've made every holiday and birthday special for our gluten free family for the last ten years. The cakes, pastries, seasonal varieties and sourdough bread are fantastic. They've redone the store in San Anselmo to be open, modern and welcoming boasting the best ambiance around. I'm grateful that my mom found this place years ago! What sets this bakery apart from it's competitors is their willingness to create unique and delicious varieties, granolas, breads and savory tartines! Can't beat the staff friendliness, store cleanliness, pastry-chef creativity and baked goods consistency.
google avatar

Allie G.

Yelp
I knew Flour Craft Bakery had gluten free options, but none of the pastries were labelled as such, so I asked the guy at the counter which ones were gluten free. Imagine my delight when he said ALL of them! I chose the Vegan Crumble Bar (so delicious, would never guess it was GF) and my mom got the Signature Orange Polenta Cake (also fantastic). I didn't get a beverage, but my parents said that both the espresso and hot tea were excellent. Would happily return!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been a few times and it's the best gluten free place I've found. It's absolutely delicious. Everyone raves about the gluten free options in Europe and after trying three different places in Paris and coming away disappointed I'm writing from Paris currently and wanted to say how special and amazing flour craft is

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Mill Valley that always have the freshest salads. I LOVE getting their salads someone about it that out beats grocery stores and even a lot of restaurants. I have to watch whatever I get especially sodium. Their avocado toast is always so d Staffs are always so friendly!! I love their vibes. Try their avocado toast with hard boiled eggs tasty with their homemade bread really nice and wholesome. I got mine with no sea salt. Taste fresh and filling.

Yelp
Very expensive and mediocre food. Gluten free cooking/baking has come a long way but the bread with the food we tried was more like the old days - hard and dry with a weird fishy flavor.
google avatar

Derek S.

Yelp
We had the avocado toast (add salmon); overnight oats (hearty and sweet); walnut/cacao coffee cake; vegan donuts; and lattes... All were fantastic! The avo toast with salmon is remarkable. The walnut cake is surreal. The service was pleasantly professional. What a lovely spot!

Yelp
I'd love to say I love this place but each time I go there, it takes forever to get served and there's just no love in anything I have! I don't know why! It's like the goods are all cranked out! I'll keep going, but for now, I go to MV Baking Company (see review elsewhere )

Yelp
Located in the converted retail center Mill Valley Lumber Yard, Flour Craft Bakery is one of a couple food eateries. Our group / wedding party had a impromptu Sunday Brunch. Some of us had food and others just had coffee. The bakery is tiny and seating is outside with community picnic tables and chairs. We had a avocado toast, Nutella toast with nuts and blackberries, and bagels with lox. The bagels lox and cream cheese was good. The coffees and food were ok when they finally came to the side window. I guess they don't do that volume of business normally. Our group orders backed up the line. Just a few parking spaces in the center and street parking is limited. Pick up your order from the window and bus your own dishes.

Yelp
This place was like I died and went to heaven, from start to finish. Being we were not local to Marin County, my bf and I had no idea what options we had for Gluten Free restaurants in the area on our last day in Muir Beach. A quick yelping led me to Flour Craft Bakery, and I was so astounded by the menu options, I had to call in advance to ask "Is all this stuff really gluten-free?". The answer is yes, by the way: the employees are the sweetest people you will ever meet, and I wish I could give them my life savings to thank them for allowing this place to continue running (they had to close early the day we visited, due to staffing shortages- my heart nearly stopped at the thought that this place could ever stop existing). Um, where do I start? I almost got a pumpkin spice latte, but then got a plain, almond milk one instead and it was the best latte I have ever tasted and I WILL be calling them to ask what coffee they use because it changed my life. The food? "Chef's kiss" is just too cliché a phrase for something so uniquely allergen-free and yet, the best thing I've ever tasted even when I DID eat gluten and dairy? My bf and I split a Golden Gate Tartine with smoked Lox and also a Sweet Waffle with roasted peach compote, and I am not exaggerating when I tell you I forgot how to speak English when I bit into that waffle. Oh, the tartine was amazing, but that waffle? You know that scene in the movie "Ratatouille"? You know the one, with the food critic, and he takes a bite and is transported back to his childhood and then leaves his lifelong career as a food critic to be served secret food by a rat chef for the rest of his life? Let's just say if I found out a rat was responsible for this waffle, I'd be dining out of dumpsters the rest of my life, willingly. That waffle was life-altering and it wasn't like "fair food" level sweet, it made my stomach feel great afterwards, I think maybe I gobbled it down a little too fast, but other than that- I just kept waiting for a catch, and there was none. The shop itself has all the best gluten free goodies you could ever imagine: dosa chips, artisan breads, I got a second day old baguette for $3 and two days later- it still hasn't hardened. It is tremendous and continues to remind me of that soul-quenching hour-and-a-half I spent dining beneath a shady umbrella on a sunny day at one of the many picnic tables outside of this gourmet/artisan gluten-free bakery that made me forget how to speak my native language while demolishing food like nobody could was watching the way my eyes rolled back into my head and my jaw was hanging open in food-drunk ecstasy. Please support this place. Go here and buy everything. I will die if this place ever shuts down. When I wake up I will thank the forces that be for giving me another day I can live on earth with this food, of which most humankind will never know or ever begin comprehend. I have seen the face of God because I have dined here. And I will write that in my final testament. I'm gonna stop now, this is the maximum praise I could give, not sure where to go from here..so... yeah, I'll live forever in the memory of that waffle, every day of my life until I can have it again, it WILL haunt me.

Yelp
The Lumber Yard is a cute area to walk around and shop/dine. I typically like to go in the morning and when I'm craving a quick breakfast. I stumbled upon Flour Craft because it's one of the only cafes at the area. There's always a line to order and you would typically have to wait for the item at the other side of the door. I've been here twice and have been pretty disappointed in the drinks, though the food is not too bad. I ordered the tumeric drink for the first time and it was overpowered with tumeric and very thick. It tasted like Tumeric & Hot Water, not my favorite. The second time I went, I ordered a Matcha Latte and a Chai Latte. Both my friend and I were pretty disappointed as it tasted really water down. I asked for the lattes to be made with oatmilk and it didn't even taste like oatmilk, just water with a hint of matcha & splash of milk. Luckily I ordered the tartine with salmon and that one was pretty good. If I were to return, I would definitely stick to just the food.

Yelp
Located in a cute shopping center, we used the foods from Flour Craft Bakery in a "mix and match" sort of meal selections from other restaurants nearby. I had a FANTASTIC ready to go salad. My husband had a hand-crafted coffee drink. Other family members bought bread to take home. Something for everyone. It is a popular spot, so there was a little line, but the service was timely and the outside tables are a pleasant place to wait.

Nicholas R.

Yelp
Everything about this place is awesome. It's in a cute little location, the food is very high quality and tasty, and the service is just as good - fast and friendly. Don't even think about it, just come here and see for yourself. Love this place. Try the miller tartine!!

Yelp
Great savory toasts!! The baked goods are a little dry, but that's GF for you! Love their cinnamon roll

Yelp
Came here for lunch and got the Bridgeway Tartine. For $14 it's pretty decent value / portion for the price especially since it comes with a side salad. It was packaged well in a plastic container. I will be back!

Yelp
Cute bakery in lumberyard. Tried the vegan donut which if they hadn't told me I would've never known it was vegan. It was Delicious! Very moist cake like in texture. Tried the banana chocolate chip bread which really was chocolate chip bread couldn't really taste banana. Wasn't as moist as I'm used to but still really good never the less. Lastly tried the sourdough chocolate chip cookie bc sourdough seemed intriguing. A lot of sea salt incorporated into the cookie so if it's not your thing maybe skip it but I liked it overall but maybe more with less salt. Great bakery overall will def try the other items Bc everything looked soo good.

Yelp
As someone who is gluten free and constantly on the look for gluten free bakeries, restaurants, etc., Flour Craft is exceptional! Not only do they have a dream assortment of bakeries (the almond raspberry cone is my favorite), but they also have sandwiches and an assortment of lunch items. Truly cannot remember the last time I had a sandwich eating out. The ambiance of the lumberyard is also amazing. Come down on a weekend morning and sit outside to hear some live music and cute pups. 10/10 overall and my new favorite Mill Valley find.
google avatar

Anita V.

Yelp
I have no problem with Traditional bakeries so flour craft bakery Was not my favorite but it was okay. The avocado toast with sliced egg Was my favorite. The bread was a little heavy. My sister also ordered this but they forgot her sliced egg One of us got the waffle with fruit not my favorite And the other one got the hash brown waffle egg salmon hmmmm also not my favorite. We also tried a few of the baked goods chai tea, coffee. And a mocha. My chai was good but it wasn't very hot They had a good crowd and so they were busy..... So maybe it was just an off day for our food. Also everything seem to be a little expensive not just the bakery but all the shops around it Their saving grace is the location right in the middle of the lumberyard lots of trees plenty of parking little shops to walk around and a clean public bathroom. There is a bakery in Novato called Flour Chylde Bakery which I absolutely love. And I was thinking they were one of the same but I was wrong.

Yelp
Really enjoyed coming here. The place is located in the Mill Valley Lumber Company, which at first seems a little confusing (why does a Lumber Company show up in Yelp when I search for bakeries??). But the ambiance is really nice, with lots of tables and a very relaxed and woodsy (get it?) ambiance. Cinnamon Roll: 3.5/5. Pretty tasty, but a little crunchy for my taste, and not enough gooey frosting. Hazelnet Brownie: 4.5/5. Not too sweet, with a very dense texture and nicely moist--just the way I like my brownies. the hazelnuts were subtle, but added a nice extra touch both with flavor and texture. A real winner. Mud Slide cookie: 4/5. A rich, moist, and chocolatey cookie. Yum. Sourdough chocolate chip cookie: 3/5. The sourdough flavor is very subtle but the cookie is overall just okay for me.

Yelp
Flour Craft is located in a picturesque setting amongst an outdoor shopping and dining area at a renovated lumber mill. There is ample outdoor seating, and trees nearby, with water flowing by from a slow-moving stream. The good? Gluten free and vegan pastries, all remarkably tasty. The chocolate chip cookie is special. Espresso drinks are good but not great. I found the tartine interesting, unique in flavor and texture. The greens in the salad are fresh!

Yelp
Orange polenta cake is to die for you have to ask what everything is and how much as there are no descriptions avocado toast is nice no seating allowed inside you have to sit outdoors they close early so get there early!

Yelp
yummy! Located in the Mill Valley Lumberyard. You'll order at the store front (line moves quickly), be given a buzzer and pick up at an adjacent window along the outdoor sitting area. Menu is displayed along the top above the counter, and a taped version at the door, seasonal specials listed (only in store ) to the right of the counter. A few salads and goodies are located upon walking in on the left in a refrigerated area. Food was very yummy. Overnight oats were super delicious (a must) and my favorite. Orange Polenta cake was moist and flavorful. Both me and my boyfriend had waffles. I had a savory waffle, he had the full Cali waffle with smoked salmon, both delicious. 2% dairy milk or alternatives available. London Fog and Latte were good too! Area contains small stores and a few other places to eat in case your guest, friends or family want something different while you indulge in Flour Craft. Sitting area available, benches throughout and dog friendly, some tables marked specifically for Flour craft had umbrellas. Bus your own table, trash recycling and compost bins are very specific and helpful.

Yelp
Sure, the food is good and it's great to have a gluten free option in mill valley. But, what's up with the stingy roped off patio and tables? Where is any bit of community spirit?? I even saw what looked like a guard sitting at the tables. Total turn-off. Come on guys, it's a really bad look. I will vote with my business and get my gluten free salad elsewhere. And I can get a gluten free pizza at Watershed. Watershed is friendly and welcoming.

Excellent baked goods, soups and salads. Cute atmosphere. Incredible focaccia bread and tomato, basil, bean and balsamic soup.

11 July 2020 Came by around 3. Pastries were stale and small for the price. Espresso was average, expensive, slow to arrive, and dirty (see photo). The salads look good on the menu but look elsewhere for coffee and pastries. By the numbers: Food 2/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 4/5 Value 3/5

Yelp
You won't find a more enjoyable outdoor casual dining atmosphere than Flour Craft Mill Bakery. It sits in the old Mill Valley Lumber Co. and is peaceful and lovely. I have an odd conundrum in writing this review being a food lover with Celiac. I want to give the actual flavors of the food 5 stars, but the gluten-free baked goods are definitely only worthy of 3 stars, so I'm meeting this one in the middle. I went to Flour Craft with my daughter and we ordered the quiche of the day, Nutella toast, a savory bagel and a scone for later in the day. The quiche was fantastic and really well flavored, but fell down in the crust department. The Nutella toast which included fresh fruit and a sprinkling of nuts was also outstanding with the exception of the gluten-free bread, which was really a mediocre vehicle for the delicious ingredients topping it. You're seeing a theme here, right? Last, but not least, the bagel with sprout pesto, avocado and smoked salmon was amongst the tastiest bagel 'sandwiches' I have ever had with the exception of the subpar gluten-free bagel. The scone I ate later in the day was decidedly better quality gluten-free baking and deserves a shout out. Drinks were on point, Mill Valley is adorable, and I would go back for the amazing flavor profiles on baked products I can actually eat.

Yelp
This place makes my teens happy. This is what they want for their 16th Birthday breakfast in bed- their delicious scones. And when they get their scones, they buy back ups for later in the day and the next day. I am so glad they found a place that makes them so happy! Thank you Flour Craft! ...and see ya Sunday! Maybe I should get an order in though...

Yelp
Wow loved this place! Best gluten free baked goods I've ever tried - we especially loved the Bridgewater Tartine, Orange Polenta Cake and the Coffee Cake, but everything we tried was great (we went multiple times on our 3 day vacation, which tells you something!).

Yelp
If you want to stand in line for the privilege to pay $60+ for a cake, or $12 for toast with lettuce, this is the place for you! Me Valley ridiculousness at its finest.

Yelp
Such a cute little spot in Mill Valley. I found this place after filtering through some Yelp listings with positive ticks for dog friendliness and gluten free options. The inside is very fresh and open-feeling, and there are so. many. different. food. options! I ordered the Vegan Taco Salad, and it was good, but probably could've used more protein (either more black beans or more "walnut chorizo" as they called it). I was hungry a couple hours later ;) My wife ordered a customized avocado toast, of sorts, and she liked it as well, and did feel it was more filling than my salad likely was. I kind of wish there were more shaded seating opportunities, but that just kind of is what it is for this location. I would come here again!

Yelp
Love this place. Been gluten free for 30 years and this place is one of the best. Such a delightful selection of bakery items to enjoy with a coffee and relax in the courtyard.
