Google
Overall, a nice dining experience even though we felt quite rushed. The high quality of the food is fairly well documented here, which makes one wonder why just the average Google score. On food alone they could and should be scoring at a 4.5 or above. We’ll start with the food. We ordered the whipped ricotta (7.5/10, $21), pesto gnocchi (8.2/10, $32), Mexican street corn (8.3/10, $35) and olive oil cake (7.6, $14). Solid scores across the board, but also nothing necessarily spectacular. While the portions are generally small, the dishes are quite rich so it works. Immediately once our plates were cleared they wanted to get our dessert order in. We needed a second to breathe so just asked to think it over. They came back minutes later asking again, so we just went ahead and ordered the olive oil cake thinking well we’d still have five minutes before it arrived. Nope, it was at the table within 30 seconds. Not only that, our check was dropped off immediately after, barely after taking our first bite (mind you, this was 6:59p for a 6pm reservation). Another thing I see mentioned here, the lack of tap water. There is just no excuse for this and a simple money grab to sell bottled water. All in all, if they cleaned up these few silly items, they’d be better off in the long run. $132 for 2 people is pretty pricey, even considering the natural savings of being a byob (which is almost negated by that high prices). They just need to make the dining experience more relaxed and enjoyable to justify the high price tag most people would be willing to pay for quality.

Google
The service was horrible. The hostess was incredibly rude, and seemed that she completely hated the job and everyone around her. The steak tartare was very good and the pasta was alright. Just like the other reviews mentioned it’s INCREDIBLY loud in there. And I don’t think it’s because of the amount of people, I’ve been to much tighter more packed restaurants where I was able to talk and enjoy my evening. But at this restaurant everyone was genuinely yelling at each other to talk like it was a college bar.

Google
Food was decent, but portion size is very small for the price. Disappointed the server taking care of us. Didn’t really check in on how the food was during our meal. Favorite was the corn pasta dish

Google
Flour in Hoboken was a solid find. The ambiance is low-key and chill, perfect for a relaxed dinner. You have the option to sit inside or outside, which is always a plus. Parking is on the street, but we were lucky enough to grab a spot right in front, which made getting there stress free. We started with the whipped ricotta served with sweet peppers on the side and mussels as appetizers, both were really good. Honestly, you don’t realize how much you need whipped ricotta in your life until you try it. For entrees, I had the Mexican street corn pasta, and it was fire. It captured the full flavor of street corn, and I’d honestly go back just for this dish alone. My partner had the spicy rigatoni, which was also really good, though I personally would have liked a bit more heat. Service was great. Our server was friendly, checked in on us often, and even brought us a complimentary glass of champagne when he found out we were celebrating our anniversary, which was a really nice touch. Overall, everything was cool, the food delivered, and we left happy. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you’re in Hoboken.

Google
Delicious meal at Flour. The corn pasta was really good. Pretty restaurant and nice staff. I read reviews in advance mentioning they don't serve tap water, but was still surprised. Being forced to purchase a $6 bottle of Saratoga water to have water with dinner is not something I've encountered before (even at BYOs) and it was off-putting.

Google
Started with whipped ricotta and Caesar salad- both were delicious! Food - corn pasta was cold and boring S’mores Tart - s’mores are warm, therefore this dessert should be warm. It was cold… Service- terrible, she never asked how our food was once! And dropped the bill. Lastly, they don’t offer tap water so you need to pay $6 for a bottle…kinda crazy

Google
So let me tell y’all about Flour. First the owner Justin , super cool dude. He’s on the floor engaging with his guests and making sure you are comfortable and will be your server if he needs to be which was the case for us for a brief time. The food is next level! Everything is so fresh and the send out your food at almost the perfect pace as if there are little cameras at every table scanning your food letting them know “ they have about one good bite left” 😂😂. I was only able to capture the spicy rigatoni as everything else we started eating because it just looked so good! You must get the Whipped Ricotta, Spicy Ceasar, spicy Rigatoni and the Mexican Street Corn, the FlatIron. Everything is super light it’s best to get different dishes and share.

Google
Came here for the first time after trying to carve out time for months to make a visit. Was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and the friendly knowledgeable waiters, the aesthetic and design of the restaurant as well as each plate was worth the visit alone. We had the popular ricotta toast and were immediately impressed by how delicious it was- as well as the spicy Caesar salad- would come back for these alone! Unfortunately we probably will order a different pasta dish on our next visit as the gnocchi had overwhelming lemon flavor- and as someone else mentioned in the reviews a bit overpriced for 7-8 pieces of gnocchi 😔 my partner had the cavatelli and felt it was overpowered by a possible cardamon flavor ? Definitely started our visit on a high but as the restaurant soon filled up for the dinner rush, noise and smells filled the room (poor ventilation?) and it was getting difficult to hear each other. Would recommend and come again though.

Yelp
Since moving to Hoboken from NYC my husband and I have tried countless pizza spots around town. This one is hands down the best! We tried Razza which is super highly rated and this one blows that place out of the water. And the pizzas are massive while using obviously fresh ingredients and keeping that wood fired crispy bottom. Definitely try this place out, the staff are super welcoming and attentive. If you go early they have some first come first serve seating out front to enjoy your pizza at. We will be back really soon!

Yelp
Heard a ton of hype about Flour in Hoboken, so I made it a point to check it out while I was back in town. First thing to know: make a reservation. It wasn't hard to snag one, but the space is tiny and gets packed, so 100% book ahead. Also, it's BYOB, which is a huge plus unless you forget like we did. Luckily there's a liquor store a block away, so crisis averted. We went full family-style, which I recommend here. Started with the spicy Caesar and their famous whipped ricotta bread. Honestly, the apps were the highlight of the whole night. The Caesar was incredible, and the whipped ricotta with bread was amazing--plus they do a piece per person, which is a small but very appreciated detail. For pastas, we tried four: * Spicy rigatoni * Fettuccini in mushroom cream * Mexican street corn ravioli * Lamb cavatelli Fettuccini and the lamb cavatelli were the clear winners. The spicy rigatoni and street corn were just okay both leaned a little too sweet for my taste and the tables taste. Wrapped up with the s'mores dessert, which was like a mousse-style s'more and honestly phenomenal. Overall, Flower is definitely worth checking out. Some dishes hit harder than others, but the highs were really good, and the vibe + BYOB make it a great spot for a group dinner.

Yelp
While the food was excellent, the overall experience was incredibly disappointing due to the poor treatment we received. Our server was noticeably rude and made us feel rushed and unwelcome from the start. It was my friend's birthday, and instead of feeling celebrated, we felt disrespected and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, there was a woman at the next table using a ring light during dinner -- turning the atmosphere into something closer to a photoshoot than a dining experience. It was distracting, intrusive, and completely inappropriate for a restaurant setting. I didn't come here to have a ring light in my face while trying to enjoy a meal I paid for. The combination of the server's behavior and the disruptive environment left a bad impression. Great food is not enough to make up for poor service and lack of consideration for the dining experience of all guests.

Yelp
This restaurant is my favvvvvvv in Hoboken by far! My friends and I came here for her birthday a few months ago and the owner was so sweet- he gave us free champagne, appetizers and dessert to help us celebrate. He was so attentive to us and all the customers there that night! The food was also incredible, the s'mores dessert and the Mexican street corn pasta I literally haven't stopped thinking about in the months since we've been there We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Although the food is tasty, the price, portion and lack of protein for specialty pastas is not justified. Small pastas trenched in sauce that is charged $30+. On top of that they don't even allow water from the tab, their version of "still" is from the bottle. My husband and I ended up brining water from our apartment instead since we live around the corner. What kind of restaurant charges for still water, do they not have running plumbing?

Yelp
Very nice ambiance. They are byo. I was not blown away by their dishes. I don't know if I would try them again.

Yelp
While visiting Hoboken, I kept passing by this place- always full, unable to take walks ins! I figured i'd be good and we booked a reservation.. they do not serve alcohol but you can bring your own, so we prepped with a nice bottle of wine! Its a small locally owned place, with nice indoor/outdoor space and featuring a a limited menu, but all items seem quite unique.. the owner stopped by to say hi, and he made some recommendations for appetizers, we went for tuna tartare, whipped ricotta, and mussels.. my fave were the mussels, the wine sauce was amazing. We were already full.. but had to try pizza so we split a pie with different toppings and pretty much had it to go..

Yelp
A definite top 5 pizza I've had (3rd or 4th place) and I've tried a lot of pizza. Called in on a Friday night and they don't take orders for a later time which I found odd but called back. They get your number to text you when it's ready. I picked up about 25-30 minutes after it was done but it was still hot. Pizza and especially the dough was fantastic, light and crunchy all the way through. Cheese and sauce were decent as well and the pepperoni was great. They also give you a side of hot honey which is a nice touch. No eat in for dinner but there is a couple parks nearby you can eat at if you're taking to go on a nice day. Really glad I tried this place!

Yelp
Delicious! I came with a party of 5 and we got 3 apps and 4 pastas (only shared amongst 4 of us) which was plenty of food! This restaurant is BYOB so we brought our own wine. We started with the ricotta, tuna, and Caesar salad. The ricotta comes with 3 pieces of bread so we were able to add on 2 more for each of us. This was the fluffiest ricotta I've ever had and it's also served with peppers which made it even more unique. The Caesar salad was delicious and came with toasted breadcrumbs with were a nice touch. The tuna was good but I could've gone without it to be honest. I will be thinking about that ricotta for a very long time For the pastas, we got the spicy rigatoni, cavatelli, Mexican street corn, and gnocchi. We wanted to try the oochi but they were out of it. We weren't planning to order the Mexican street corn but this was highly recommended by our server and she was right, it was so unique to the restaurant and tasty. While all the pastas were good, the gnocchi was my absolute favorite. It was not as dense as normal gnocchi and I believe the server said that is because it is ricotta based instead of potato. Our friend ordered her own dish and got the fettuccini which she said was so good. For dessert, we got the s'mores tart and they were able to put a candle in it for my friends birthday. This was also so yummy and I could've eaten one all by myself it was that good. Overall, this definitely lives up to the hype and I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. This was a great experience!

Yelp
Excellent pasta place! Although small inside, the decor is intimate and inviting. For a Saturday dinner reservation, the earliest time for a party of 2 we could get was 8:45pm. Definitely recommend booking in advance to get your preferred dinner time! The gnocchi with pesto had a great taste. My friend ordered the squid ink pasta and she really enjoyed it. The s'mores tart was an excellent way to finish the meal! This is also a BYOB restaurant. I will definitely return to try the pizza!

Yelp
Ordered: Whipped Ricotta (~$24 for 4 pcs): by Acre Farms with Maria's sweet peppers Spicy-ish Caesar (~$21): red little gem, fermented chili breadcrumbs, colatura dressing Spicy Rigatoni (~$30): Bianco DiNapoli tomato and Calabrian chili breadcrumbs Cavatelli (~$34): lamb ragu, Moroccan spice, Nettle Meadow sheep's cheese Mexican Street Corn (~$34): agnolotti, charred corn crema, queso fresco, tajin S'mores Tart (~$14): graham cracker, chocolate ganache, marshmallow meringue Aya's take: Flour is a contemporary New American restaurant that focuses on Italian handcrafted pastas, pizzas, and breads. They're BYOB and has an intimate, rustic vibe to it. We started with the Whipped Ricotta and Spicy-ish Caesar. The Spicy-ish Caesar is outrageously good. This should be on every table. Don't come here without ordering it. The Whipped Ricotta was a great try; the ricotta layer is a bit too thick for the bread but I did enjoy the sweet peppers it came with. We shared 3 pasta dishes among 4 people which was perfect. I'm not going to lie, they were all good. I would get all 3 again. The Spicy Rigatoni was very well-crafted and is a strong competitor of other famous Spicy Rigatoni dishes (i.e., Carbone, Parm, etc.). The Mexican Street Corn was so satisfying! I loved how creamy, savory, and sweet it was. The agnolotti was also a very smart choice for a dish like this. The Cavatelli was also solid with plenty of lamb ragu in every bite, and the sheep's cheese was fresh and added a nice creamy texture to it. The S'mores Tart is inventive but I don't think I'd order it again. My only complaint would probably be to add their pizzas to the menu so you can enjoy those while dining in. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! You will absolutely leave full and satisfied.

Yelp
Flour was one of my dining experiences this past year. The service was great and the ambiance was awesome. Dimly lit and plenty of space. I ordered the clams to start and it was delicious. There is also A LOT of it so would recommend to share. There is also bread to eat with the delicious clam sauce. It was great. I also had four pastas with the Mexican street corn being my favorite and the standout. It might just be one of my favorite ever pasta. They were all SO good but Mexican corn #1 for me. Lastly, the s'mores tart was also delicious. I very much enjoy creative and unique meals/desserts and flour did that here (and with street corn pasta). I don't love deserts that were too chocolate-y but I didn't feel the tart here was that. It was nicely balanced. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I had been wanting to come here for ages considering I live around the block. For starters, the food was exceptional. My only feedback is that the portions are a bit modest for the price, but the execution and flavors made up for it. The service however was disturbing. Our waitress was quite hostile, snatching our plates as soon as we finished them. She rushed us at every moment to leave, slipping the check under my friend's elbow and grabbing it from under her elbow which clearly means we haven't had a chance to pay yet. Considering my dessert had just arrived, I would've liked to enjoy it without being forced to pay the bill immediately. We asked her if we could take a few extra minutes to enjoy the dessert and finish our wine, but her answer was simply to cork our wine for us to bring home (further pressuring us to leave). From there, she yanked the wine bottle from us to cork it in the back. I left my dessert behind after only taking a few bites because I was clearly not welcome and could no longer enjoy my meal given the waitress' behavior. I get you want to go home but when the restaurant is open for another hour and a half (she also lied about the time they closed when we asked how much time we had) you'd think you'd try to give a decent experience to your patrons. I found it particularly odd that no other tables were rushed except for us. I checked the time and we weren't there for even an hour and there were about 8 other empty tables available inside with ample seating outdoors as well. Extremely disappointed in the service here considering I was so blown away by the food. I would've become a frequent diner had I not had such a negative experience. Update: The owner was extremely responsive and receptive to the feedback. I will be giving this place another try given how amazing the food was and how he handled the situation. His level of service is worth another visit - will keep everyone posted!

Yelp
Loved our experience at Flour!! The staff is absolutely wonderful! We came a little bit early to our reservation and our table wasn't ready yet. A waiter came up to us and offered to put our wine in the fridge while we wait. Our waitress was so nice as well!! The ambiance is great - perfect for a date night, girls night or just a great dinner. We got the lemon and the mushroom pasta and both were delicious!! The steak was good - served with three different sauces. I would say the spicy Caesar and the whipped ricotta are a must!! This is a BYOB restaurant so definitely recommend grabbing a bottle of wine for dinner. Looking forward to coming back here!!

Yelp
Amazing pastas and fantastic service! Get multiple pastas to split amongst your party, to try them all. Spicy rigatoni is a must try.
google avatar

Molly F.

Yelp
Yes, yes and yes. Went here on NYE for the first time for a pre fixe menu. Was able to try a bunch of different things and each dish was better than the one before. We had the whipped ricotta, spicy caesar, tuna crudo to start and then the Mexican street corn pasta, spicy rigatoni and lemon pasta for entrees. We finished the night with the s'mores tart. The service was great and it is BYOB which is always an added bonus.

Yelp
This place is so good I have hated muscles all my life! But I came here with some girlfriends for dinner and they made me try one and I'm forever changed! The sauce is out of this world for the muscles! I would pay $100 for the fire roasted corn pasta! The smores tart had a ganache filling that was chef's kiss. I loved the lamb ragu! It was a mix of umami, a kick, and sweetness all at the same time. If this restaurant closed I'd become depressed. Such a cute spot! Can't reccomed enough!

Yelp
Food was good, Mexican street corn pasta was definitely my favorite. Decent sized portions. Waiter made us feel rushed but otherwise a good restaurant to try once.

Yelp
my friend chose this restaurant for our dinner after seeing it on a tiktok. we had pretty high hopes. we made a reservation for 7pm on a friday night, the small restaurant was pretty much entirely full. it's a nice vibe especially for the summer and this has potential to be a great date night spot as well. firstly, we had no choice but to pay for a bottle of water (they don't offer tap water), which was something we all didn't like off the bat. the service was pretty good though, nothing to complain about there. we got the ricotta toast and spicy ish caesar salad as apps, and both of them were pretty delicious. the ricotta toast came with a side of seasoned tomatoes and it was a really delicious topping paired with the super creamy ricotta on the crunchy toast, a great contrast of textures (i'm trying to sound knowledgeable). the spicy ish caesar was the favorite dish of my friends, it was not spicy at all but had a slight tiny baby extra kick to it. it's the kind of salad i would want to remake at home. in terms of main dishes, we got the squid ink pasta, the gnocchi, and the mexican corn pasta. i think out of the 3, the squid ink pasta was my favorite, the sauce was very meaty and flavorful. the mexican corn pasta was very interesting, the corn gave it a sweet flavor profile that is unique in a pasta dish. the sauce was really creamy and the ravioli were pillowy soft. personally it wasn't my favorite because i prefer savory food over food that is on the sweet side, but i do think the idea of corn pasta was cool and i think objectively it was a pretty good dish. lastly, i do have to say i didn't love the gnocchi. the texture of the gnocchi was kinda similar to indian paneer and i hate to say it but texturally, it was almost rubbery. it didn't seem to be a traditional potato gnocchi for sure. i also thought the pesto it came in was pretty mid, it was a lot thinner in terms of consistency and lacked the punchy, basil heavy flavor and chunky consistency that i associate pesto with. the last thing ill say about all of the pasta dishes is that my friend noticed none of them were hot , or even really warm when they came out. overall, i didn't love this restaurant and didn't think it was worth it for the priciness. obviously this review is from my personal perspective which is not fact. i think that there's potential here but ive definitely had much better pasta dishes.

Yelp
I had a good experience at Flour. My fiancé and I made a reservation and were seated on time. The ambiance is cozy and perfect for a date night. For apps, we ordered the ricotta toast, it was topped with sweet peppers which was the best part of the dish. They did pile on a lot of ricotta, I had to scoop some of it out. For entrees, we ordered the spicy rigatoni and mafaldine. Both dishes were great! The lemon in the mafaldine was subtle, which I appreciated. The Calabrian chili breadcrumbs for the rigatoni was a nice addition, it added smokiness to the dish but it really wasn't spicy. We had to pay for water too, which I wasn't expecting. Overall had a good experience and would come back again.

Lauren S.

Yelp
Great ambiance, perfect spot for a date night! Pretty hard to get a reservation here and is very busy around peak dinner time. Finally got in to try it recently and was not disappointed! The whipped ricotta was excellent, along with the spicy rigatoni. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
PSA: Flour, the restaurant, does not serve pizza. The pizza shop by flour, which is a door connected to the back of the restaurant, takes online and in person orders for pizza ONLY. Our group learned this the hard way when we arrived at the restaurant but the staff were very friendly and let us sit outside with our pizzas and brought us paper plates. The pizza itself was one of the best pizzas in Hoboken. The bottom is so crispy and not greasy. We ordered a plain square, square topped with garlic prosciutto and hot honey (in sauce containers for $2 each which we thought were a little expensive and not actually on the pizza), clam and delfino (sausage and onion). They were the perfect ratio of sauce to topping while maintaining a crispy bottom. All in all, I would love to get their pizzas again but next time I'd know to do take out.
google avatar

Emilee J.

Yelp
BYOB but pay $6 for your still water. (Shrug) Great location, ambiance and buzzing with people. Music is extra loud in here, so if you're looking for something quieter, either sit outside or look elsewhere. The Cesar salad was delish and the perfect shareable. Loved the cavatelli, felt mid about the corn pasta - not my favorite and really overloaded with dairy. Service was....... Meh, at best. They brought us a wine chiller..... but no ice. He gave mostly one word answers and seemed quite overwhelmed. Outside of that, we really enjoyed the meal and would come back for more.
google avatar

Cami H.

Yelp
Best caesar salad I've ever had, hands down. Mussels were amazing as well, the sauce was so flavorful. We got four different pastas and all of them were so unique and also delicious. Food was definitely 10/10. Everything was brought out fast, and the servers were kind and professional. The restaurant's lighting was calming and the flowers on the table were so pretty (they weren't plastic).

Yelp
PIZZA: For sure one of my favorite pizza spots in Hoboken ! The sauce was soo delicious on the pizza and that's usually the most important part for me. This is a different review from the actual restaurant. RESTAURANT: I really enjoyed the restaurant. We ordered the cesar salad and ricotta toast to start. I absolutely loved the cesar salad and it had a bit of a spice to it which was delicious. However was a bit disappointed by the ricotta toast. I felt like it could use more salt or honey for flavoring and there was way too much ricotta for the bread which personally I'm not a fan of. For pastas, we ordered the malfaldine, pumpkin, pesto, and rigatoni. I loved the malfadine cacio e pepe and pesto so recommend ordering those, however the other two fell short for me. For our third course we got the hangar steak which I thought was very good and flavorful and loved the chimichurri sauce. Overall good spot but way too overpriced. it is BYOB as well

Yelp
3.5 Stars (wish we had .5 increments, but I digress). A buddy and I met up with some friends in Hoboken (4 of us total) and they have been itching to try Flour, so we made a night of it. The ambience is very nice, cozy but sophisticated. The place is BOYB, but also, and kinda really lamely,...it's BOYBottle of water. No tap water available...at a place that is cooking up fresh pasta all night. Weird, and really rather annoying given the pricing of the food. That aside, the food is pretty good overall - we shared everything family style, and ordered: Steak tartare - this was an interesting take, with a sichuan dressing and served with sour cream and onion chips instead of bread. I liked the spiciness to the tartare...but really didn't think the chips went well with dish at all - would have definitely preferred some toast/crostini or something. Whipped Burrata on toast with black truffle and honey - a bit overpriced at $9 a pop for just one slice of toast, but a tasty dish for sure that had a generous amount of the whip on it. Malfadani (cacio e pepe) - creamy and salty and with a nice kick of heat from the pepper. Solid Pistachio Pesto Gnocchi (forget the proper name...and they even have a website, let alone an online menu) - this was the best dish of the night imho - you like like pesto/pistachios, and soft, pillowy gnocchi, just do it. Serving size is a little on the light size, I think there were about 8 pieces. Mexican Street Corn - this looked/sounded super interesting, which it certainly was. very creamy with a hint of sweetness; it's decadent (so another smaller-portioned dish didn't bother me that much). There was another pasta dish that had mushrooms with a sweet potato puree that...was kinda bleh to me. The past was filled with ricotta I believe (or some cheese), but this was is skippable imho. I was fairly satisfied at this point, but the group pushed to try both the desserts, so we got the: Fruity Pebbles Panna Cotta - I'm not the biggest fan of fruity pebbles, but this was an okay take to have some fun with a classic. Portion of panna cotta was [thematically] small, but just a taste was fine by me. A Santa themed Cookie dessert - 2 chocolate chip and 2 molasses cookies with a jar of a mascarpone-type cream spread. Eh...I mean, the cookies were fine, but nothing real special here. Overall, the pastas were all very unique and mostly pretty tasty. There are some kinks on the logistics of the place (the no water thing for one), but it's generally still worth checking out IF you come prepared with pretty much BYO anything and everything you want to drink during the meal.

Yelp
An absolutely incredible evening! The food, the service, the ambiance. Please make it a priority tk visit. Oh and did I mention it's a BYOB!!! Highlights: the one with the egg, steak tartar, and the music.
google avatar

Chris U.

Yelp
I've been back a few times since my initial review. They've worked out their logistics since initial opening and are much quicker and efficient. I'll keep it simple: I'm not sure if it's the best pizza in the city, but it's definitely in the conversation. And that says a lot given that we're in Hoboken.

Yelp
Flour is great food and great ambience. I love that you can see the kitchen and it looks very clean, prices aren't too bad for Hoboken . The food is very fresh and the pasta is homemade. You have to get ricotta toast pictured

Yelp
BYOB Hoboken gem. Great intimate Italian spot that goes underrated in Hoboken. All pastas were amazing as well as whipped ricotta and caesar salad. Shoutout spicy rig, Mexican street corn and lamb ragu. Dessert tres leces is a must order

Yelp
This is a review for their new sister restaurant called Flour (I tried to make a separate page for it but for some reason Yelp merged it) Overall great addition to midtown Hoboken. Really nice vibe for date night or a small intimate group. Love the open kitchen concept. If you look at their Instagram they make some references to the bear (tv show) and I see what they're going for. The food was solid. It's recommended to all be shareable. We got two apps (salad and whipped ricotta), a pasta, and a main and we were appropriately full after that. They recommended two pastas and a main and if we were really hungry that probably would have been okay but would have been stuffed. Highly recommend the whipped ricotta - the truffle flavor was so good and the texture was perfect. It's served on toast. We ended up getting two which when it came out I thought it was too much but given how good it was I was happy about that. The salad was also good - fresh and flavorful. The malfadini was very good but honestly could have used some more sauce and seasoning. A little too simple for my taste. The sea bass was interesting. It was cooked very well - tender and flavorful but idk about the sauce on the bottom had a strong flavor and I didn't hate it but I also didn't love it. Also it's BYOB so bring a nice bottle of wine and get the feel of a really fancy dinner without the price tag. The main reasons for the docked star. 1) They charge 6 dollars for still water (don't really offer tap - I'm sure if you ask they would bring it) but we're not in Europe. It just leaves a poor taste in my mouth. Water shouldn't be charged for in my opinion. Increase the price of other dishes to compensate. 2) the main dishes need a little more oomph. The prep is good. 3) the tables are so close together there's no room for proper service. Our waitress was very sweet but she wasn't really able to check in. They were busy but not that busy. It doesn't seem set up for good service. Leaving these things because they are so new and I hope they considering adjusting a few things. At the end of the day - we will be back with our friends. Hope you guys do well!

Yelp
The food was good but we thought it was weird that they won't serve tap water!! I know they've got a sink back there. Give us free water! Caesar salad was really good and the cavatelli was pretty good too

Yelp
Finally tried the restaurant! Made a resy a few weeks prior and was glad we did. It was pretty packed for a Friday night. We did ask to move to another another more comfortable seat in the corner, but they didn't seem to mind which was nice. Our service was nice - it's also BYOB (in addition to wine we also brought a carafe of water lol). We each got a slice of the whipped ricotta - it was ok! I think 1 piece of toast is enough for 2 people, the ricotta is extremely heavy (almost like whipped cream cheese texture) so I didn't finish mine. We really enjoyed the 2 pasta dishes, Mexican street corn (so good!) and Cavatelli - both were good to share and had unique flavor. Would recommend both! (Maybe next time we try the spicy rig?) we didn't get dessert. Overall solid.

Yelp
Review for Flour (dine-in restaurant). The vibes are nice - candlelit tables, fancy plates, and wine glasses ready for you to DYOB (drink your own beverage) For food, we ordered: Whipped Ricotta Toast (2.5/5) I love me some good ricotta but here the whipped texture of it, combined with the truffle did not work for me at all. The addition of honey and the use of good toasted bread helped elevate the dish as a whole, but the honey drizzled on top was not enough for me to call this a balanced dish. In hindsight, I would skip this. Mexican Street Corn Agnolotti (4/5) The pasta was perfectly al dente. The sauce had magnificent hints of sweet corn and queso fresco. This was quite enjoyable but I would have preferred a better filling for the agnolotti given that the sauce was already creamy and flavorful, and the pasta was so well cooked. Either a different pasta shape or a different stuffing is my recommendation on this one. Nonetheless, this was quite enjoyable and reminiscent of the street style sweet corn cooked in butter and lemon you get in other parts of the world. Lamb Ragu Cavatelli (5/5) This was scrumptious. Almost wish we had more of this. The lamb ragu reminded me of Indian lamb curry I have had back home - probably because of the Moroccan spices used and the similarities there. The cavatelli, again, perfectly al dente. The random strings of spicy peppers in there also brought great depth. If you like the flavor of lamb, a well-bodied ragu, and good cook on the pasta, this one is for you! Spicy Rigatoni (5/5) This was an impulse order. The fact that the other two pastas were interesting and cooked really well, we had to give the house favorite a shot. The pasta again, al dente! 3 for 3 with the cook on the pasta dishes! The addition of the buttery breadcrumbs added a fantastic textural element and flavor to the dish. The calabrian chili used made itself known in the sauce and breadcrumbs, and how beautifully it all sang together! Another great hit. Entremet Cake (2/5) After a great meal, we had to end on a sweeter note, and the choices for the night in the menu were Entremet Chocolate and Pavlova. However when we ordered dessert at the end, our server only told us about the Carrot Cake (not on the menu) and the Entremet Cake. The cake was...questionable. It was described to have some sort of chocolate strawberry buttercream, sprinkled with poprocks, and a fudge core. However in reality, the chocolate strawberry exterior cylinder was very viscous and hard, not something you'd expect from fresh buttercream. The fudge center was not fudge-y or lava-y. It was rather like dried up cake. The bottom and top of this of the "cake" had a disk of I don't know what. That was mildly chewy, and tough. Overall, the dish was disappointing, the poprocks didn't do anything for it besides make this confusing dish even more confusing, and contributing to some sort of bubblegum flavor. Another should've skipped item for me. Overall, several big hits (pasta dishes) and some big misses (dessert and ricotta toast). Given that Flour is BYOB (they get some brownie points for this), I can see myself return and stick to what I liked or what I am sold on given the menu at the time. Not sure if this is a place I want to experiment much with the menu considering the big misses.

Yelp
A cozy spot on a corner in Hoboken with fresh pasta and great food. We started with the spicy-ish Cesar which if you don't like salad, I would say this is the dish for you as there was more crispy panko and Parmesan than there was lettuce. Every piece was coated in the best way possible (pictures provided for reference). It does have a kick to it so if you're completely against spice, this wouldn't be for you. The whipped ricotta was also amazing. I would say 50/50 ratio of ricotta to bread. The mains were so hard to pick from, they all sounded amazing but we settled on and shared the cumin lamb cavatelli and the mushroom fettuccine. I favored the fettuccine over the cavatelli, more for the taste and because I love mushrooms, but again both were good. Would definitely recommend getting a bigger group there so you can try more of the pasta as they suggest you order family style. For dessert we finished off with both their options the pumpkin spice tiramisu and the s'mores tarte. My favorite was the tarte, loved the graham cracker crust and chocolate inside. we brought our own wine and we booked our reservations a month in advance.

Yelp
We really enjoyed the caesar salad, fettuccine, and flat iron steak. It's also great that this place is byob. You have to pay $6 for water since there's no tap water option but at least there's no corking fee. While we really enjoyed our meal, it's pretty expensive for the portion sizes. Not sure I'd be so quick to go again but overall I'd recommend the things we ordered! (Side note- the people at the table next to us said the rigatoni and strawberry shortcake weren't anything special)

Yelp
Absolutely amazing experience!! The food is DELICIOUS and the menu is great, there are unique twists on classic dishes and we loved it. The owner and staff are wonderful. The whipped ricotta is to die for and the Caesar salad were phenomenal. We tried 3 of the pasta dishes and they were unreal! The decor is very sleek, cozy with dimmed lighting, romantic, and beautiful. Would give 20 stars if I could!

Yelp
I'd probably give Flour a 3.5, had a decent dinner there but not dying to go back. The ambience and service were good, having to pay for water was not so great. Overall I thought the food was ok, I've had better Italian in Hoboken. Spicy-ish Caesar was really good, whipped ricotta was over hyped IMO and not my favorite. For pastas the spicy rigatoni was good, mafaldine could've used more lemon and the gnocchi was a bit overwhelming with the cheese center (would've liked this dish a lot more if it was regular gnocchi without the cheese). The dishes didn't really live up for the price point and we got the s'mores tart for dessert which was a let down.

Yelp
Great dinner, great atmosphere (specifically the music), great service, great food. My GF and I ate SO much. We literally could not stop eating. We got the Ricotta Toast, Spicy Caesar, Spicy Rig, Lamb Cavatelli, and Truffle Fetucinni. The Spicy Caesar was great. Each leaf was crisp and fluffy. Almost felt like it was individually hand dressed in whatever fricken dressing that was. It was not overly spicy but still different and i was pleasantly surprised. The pastas were all great but the Truffle Fetucinni stood in a league of its own. I'm told it's a new addition so hopefully it stays. The service was also casual, fun and great. Even as we left our waiter ran after us, opened the door as we were thoroughly outside and yelled hey guys thanks for coming! See you soon! Like wow, that was just icing on the cake. We both felt like that was the nicest thing anyone's done for us all year.

Yelp
Came here with a few girlfriends and we all loved it! The peaches and cream and spicy Caesar starters were delicious. The pasta was made to perfection, got the spicy rigatoni and cacio pepe, and steak and all chefs kiss. The desserts were a miss for me, the fruity pebbles was an acquired taste. Service was good, a little slow at times but attentive. Takes reservations which is always a plus. The restaurant itself is nice, a decent size, dark, and it was quite warm. Overall would go back!! Also BYOB !! No gluten free options as well.

Yelp
I am going to keep this review extremely clear and concise. This is one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life. Probably not #1 but top 5 no questions asked. I need this pizza in my life more often. It was VERY good and this place definitely lives up to the hype. This place is so good they don't even need my review. The pizza speaks for itself.

Yelp
OK The Pizza Shop by Flour, I see you, and your pizza is absolutely delicious and amazing. I don't get the Dave Portnoy hype, but my husband is a big fan and he insisted that we try out The Pizza Shop after Dave's review. I rolled my eyes and tagged along. And I'm so glad I did. Yes, I'm from Jersey. Yes, I've eaten many a pizza in my days. I didn't have super high expectations for this place. In my opinion, even a bad slice of pizza is good pizza, but boy did this pizza make an impression. First off, the crunch of the crust was out of this world. I love a slightly burnt (just slightly) crisp crust that you can hear crunch from across the street. Second, the tomato sauce was heavenly. I think that was the best part of the whole pizza - that sauce - I still think about it. Definitely not a cheesy pizza, and I am fine with that. The fresh mozz with the shaved parm paired so perfectly with the sauce, there was no need to go crazy on the cheese. Also, the basil? Which I usually pick off? Not this time my friend. It was the perfect touch! Yes, I do agree with other reviewers - it took quite a bit of time to get the pizza after I ordered. I had no idea that the inside wasn't finished so you had to order and sit outside and wait. It was a particularly hot day, with the sun beating on the outdoor tables. Next time, I know to order in advance so it can be ready to go when I arrive (hopefully). Definitely check out this pizza place. It's a must try in my book!

Yelp
Pizza was delicious, crisp, and made with fresh ingredients. So crispy you could literally hear the crunch when you bite into the pizza. Would recommend!

Yelp
Ordered a Delfino last night. I like their method of ordering - call them up, they give you an estimated wait time and text you when it is ready for you to pick up. On a Wednesday night, they told us 30 minutes and it was exactly that. The pizza is great, very evenly cooked, the base is thin and crispy, and the sauce is spread right to the edge which I like. I would say that the toppings (other than the sauce and cheese) are a little skimpy for the price of the pie but the taste and texture were very good and we will definitely order from here again soon.

Yelp
If you haven't gone it's a must! It's a cute, cozy date spot and BYOB. I can't rave enough about how good the pasta is. The chef has a unique twist and I just love the Mexican street corn.

Yelp
Great spot! Definitely a vibe and super cute for a date night or small group dinner. For apps we did the Caesar salad which is so good and the ricotta toast. Dinner we got two pastas - cacio e pepe (had a stronger lemon taste but definitely grew on me and would get again) and the pistachio pesto gnocchi (if you're a pistachio and/or pesto fan - highly recommend!). The only downsides are they charge you for water which I just find odd but is fine since it's BYOB. Also, just to note they do tell you everything is shareable but they do almost expect you to share because they bring one plate out at a time so if you don't plan on sharing I would just let the waiter know. Otherwise - definitely check it out!

Yelp
Very good place. The food was great. I would say it does get very loud inside on the weekends and it's hard to hear the person speaking next to you. Would go again for the food but on a quieter night.

Yelp
TLDR: Disappointed. Food is delicious, but poor service will keep us from returning. We had long awaited getting a reservation at this much-heralded spot in Hoboken, and were excited when the Resy notification came in. Throughout the meal, however, that excitement dimmed. Food: Five stars. Make no mistake, the food here is excellent. A variety of pasta dishes for any palate. We shared both the Cavatelli (lamb ragu with Moroccan spices a mild sheep's cheese) and the Mafaldine (Meyer lemon, black pepper, pecorino...basically cacio e pepe with a citrus twist). Both were cooked al dente and seasoned perfectly. Two very different pastas, but both delicious in their own way. Ambiance: Three stars. This is a very pretty, romantic space; lots of exposed brick and very nicely decorated for the holiday season. The noise level, however, is much too high for the space and attempted vibe. Service: One star. Terrible. This is what separates this restaurant from being in the top tier of dining experiences in the area. The service personnel are casual to the point of being flippant and dismissive; they consistently demonstrate an "IDGAF" attitude. While we had read about the quirky (some would say obnoxiously pretentious) policy of not serving tap water, but rather offering high priced bottled water only), we were not prepared for the server sneering, "we don't serve tap water HERE, you have to buy a bottle. You want sparkling or flat, your call." When presented with menus, no descriptions of food were offered. The server offered us an "orientation to the menu," which consisted of telling us that we must order everything at once and dishes would be delivered as they were ready. This meant that while we were enjoying the delicious Caesar salad, our hot pasta dishes arrived...before we were ready for them. So, it was either let them get cold or push the salad aside. We opted for setting the salad aside for a moment, which prompted another server to grab for the salad, asking, "you done with that?" Plates are delivered by someone other than your primary server without a word. No one checked back on us to see if we either needed anything else or were enjoying our dishes. While we very finishing our wine (BYOB), the server brought our check, again without asking if we wanted anything else or saying a word. I didn't attend to it immediately, as we were in conversation, and the server promptly returned, opening the check holder to see if I had put my credit card in it. We took the hint, paid, and left...without another word from the staff. The sad part is that these service issues could be easily remedied with conscientious hiring, proper training, and enforcement of simple standards of customer service and courtesy. This is a failure on management's part. Value: Two stars. While the food is excellent, and the portions a decent size (not small, as some here have complained), there are several factors bringing down the value of a dining experience here: - Horrible Service - Zero bread service, even at an additional cost. Seriously...in a pasta restaurant? - Silly "no tap water" policy - BYOB policy is a saving grace. I'd encourage people to bring their own bottled water, as well Bottom line: We will not return. For similar quality food offerings, but MUCH better service, at an equivalent price point, I would take my business to Corto in Jersey City, or even Otto Strada in Hoboken (a bit less expensive, as well).

Yelp
After paying the bill, my total was X. When I checked my credit card my total was X + $100. Gotta keep an eye out. The food here was very decent. Salad and tartare were good. Have had 100 rigatonis better than the one served here. Waitress could not have cared less about anything but that's okay. BYOB is cool as it helps save you some money, which is a necessity when you go to Flour because Flour will decide how much you tip them.
