Flour Pizzeria - Review - Brentwood - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Flour Pizzeria was on its way to opening a second location in Brentwood when they lost their Palisades location in the LA fires. We’re excited to see they're back in action at their new home, where they’ll serve the same New York-style pies, from the classic pepperoni to the house special topped with burrata and house honey. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Cathy Park

I had heard good things about Flour Pizzeria from a friend and finally stopped by to try it for myself. I ordered a classic pepperoni pie. While the experience overall was pleasant—clean kitchen, fast service, and a welcoming vibe—the pizza itself was a bit of a mixed bag. The dough and sauce lacked depth of flavor, and the saltiness of the pepperoni overpowered everything else. The crust was also slightly burnt on the bottom. That said, I’d still consider coming back, hoping they refine the balance of flavors and improve the quality of the dough. There’s potential here—it just needs a little polish.

I recently heard about this place and had bookmarked it just in case I found myself in the area and luckily enough that day came sooner rather than later. I knew they can get pretty busy so I timed it so I could get there before 430 pm and service was pretty quick and I was able to grab a seat by the window. Its a pretty small place, so seating is somewhat limited. I ordered the "House" and the "Meat Lovers" and wow!!! Ive tried a lot of pizza over the years and I must say this place is amazing!! The House pizza uses simple but quality ingredients and the crust and hot honey is to die for! The Meat Lovers is piled high with quality meats & fresh basil and it will definitely fulfill an appetite. I wish I didnt live so far away (Westlake Village) as this would hands down be my go to spot. I'll definitely make the trek another time so I can try some of their other offerings as they all look and sound incredible. Parking can be a bit of a pain, however, there is paid parking in the surrounding area.

We drove up from Vegas and wanted to eat somewhere new, that we couldn't find in Vegas. This pizza was so tasty and the atmosphere was amazing. We sat alongside a counter where you could watch them make the pizza. One of the best pizza slices we've ever had (we got pepperoni and I added hot honey).

Google
Delicious NYC-style pizza - the best pizza slice in LA in 2025 imo. Only one that comes close is Apollonia on Wilshire. The pizza at Flour is delicious but I had to wait 40 mins to get a full pie .. granted they were packed and it was busy with people waiting outside on the street but that wait was still pretty egregious. Apparently their sales have grown some +300% since Portnoy rated them an 8.1 on TikTok. I must say it truly was worth the wait though. Just go into it knowing it’s a commitment and an experience worth having, the pizza really is nothing short of excellent. You must get the side of hot honey

Google
I rate the pizza a 8.5🔥 rating on the 1 to 10 scale. I eat a lot of pizza at a lot of different places, states and countries. This pizza is very good for Cali pizza!

Google
Flour Pizza is our Friday night ritual. The pepperoni with extra cheese (basil on the side) hits every time—crispy edges, great sauce-to-cheese balance, and it travels well. I reheat slices in the oven and they’re still 10/10. The staff is always hustling and super pleasant, even while juggling a swarm of delivery pickups. It’s a great neighborhood joint with some seating if you want to stay. Consistently excellent pizza and service.

Google
Came here after seeing a review from How Kev Eats. Small inside, probably best to take it to-go. NY Style pizza, with the thin, crispy crunch. We got a few slices: Pepperoni, Margarita, and their Strach. All good! Sauce was delicious.

Google
Pros House pizza- very nice New York style pizza slice with Burrata and honey. Crust was nice a chewy, bottom was crispy with NO FLOP. (Portnoy would be proud) Service was pleasant Place was nice a clean

Yelp
It's a nice welcome change to see a place selling big New York style slices from a high end massive electric oven. No worries of your pizza tasting like propane and there are a million places already doing (great) wood fired pizzas. But does it taste like New York pizza? Thin, with just enough crisp to give it a snap. You can tell they use high end ingredients here, as you literally can watch them take the prosciutto out of the packages and carefully lay them on each slice. I ordered a slice of pepperoni to "test them out" before I went all in for a full pie. They have great sauce and really capture the good NY slice style which is very hard to find in LA. It's a little oily but that's mainly because of the pepperoni's. I'm giving them 5 stars but my suggestion would be to slice the pepperoni's a little thinner (if that's even possible). They are a bit thick and hearty and I almost think a thinner pepperoni would be better. Also, there is not a single vegetable option on the menu (which is actually fine for me) but sometimes I'd like to throw on some mushrooms on my pizza. No green peppers, no mushrooms, no veggie options at all. Meat, cheese, and sauce and that's all there is to choose from. The guys working the counter were friendly and direct. I asked to have my slice cut in half and they were cool about it. I will be coming back for a full pie to see how it holds up when eaten cold the next morning. This is my ultimate pizza litmus test, the morning pizza.

Yelp
To be honest, when you're driving down the street, Flour Cafe & Pizzeria blends into its neighbors quite well. But if you take the time to follow the rules and slow down for the kiddos crossing the street, you just might catch an intriguing smell nearby - then end up parking your car because you know you need to try something new! I ordered the whole house special pizza and took a quick lap around the neighborhood while I was waiting for it to finish cooking. When the gentleman behind the counter handed me the piping hot pie, I couldn't help but salivate... and after a quick glance, I opened the box, inhaled a slice, mopped up my drool, and took off to finish the rest at home. All-in-all, incredibly fresh, alluring smell, amazing taste - my goodness... I'm drooling again. Why don't you just go get yourself a slice and try? You're welcome! ;)

Yelp
Stopped in for the basic. A slice of cheese and they put freshly grated Parmesan cheese on after it came out of the oven. A really nice touch! How was it you ask? I went back for a second slice!

Yelp
Small pizza joint with limited seating and street parking in the palisades. The staff was friendly. They had some baked goods and coffee, and grab and go salads. I had the garlic aioli chicken sandwich and the caprese sandwich. Both were very good. Although I was told the cparese had prosciutto but once I got it home, there was no prosciutto. I did not care for the chocolate chip cookie, as it was mildly stale. The raspberry coffee cake was pretty good, although also not made that day, but was salvageable with some oven time.

Yelp
To be honest, I didn't expect much because many restaurants, including pizzerias, have disappointed me. But they proved me wrong! I ordered a slice of the house special pizza, the Stratch (house red sauce, parmesan, burrata, hot honey, & basil. As you can see in my photo, they actually grate Parmesan , add burrata, drizzle honey after they get an order. The crust is thin and crispy. I would have liked thin and chewy crust better, but the crispy crust was good. $6 for a slice of pizza is not necessarily cheap, but with all the effort they put in, I don't think it's expensive at all. Seating inside the restaurant is limited, but there are several tables outside with umbrellas.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place 1 year ago while getting boba nearby and finally got a chance to return. Amazing pizza. Thin yet structurally sound crust. Perfect topping ratios. Quality ingredients. We were even given a slice of the House Special (burrata and hot honey) to try and it was DELICIOUS especially with the basil! Very cool of him to do that.

Yelp
I tired this place for the first time the other night. It was good pizza. Big slices very thin crust. I like the light tomato sauce. I definitely would say if you want a light quick bite give it a try. I will be back to try different things on the menu.

Yelp
Came here for lunch by myself. Fantastic New York style thin crust pizza. I had the special which is the burrata, their pepperoni and Bianca. They were all pretty fantastic. Highly recommend the special. I didn't do it with honey but was still fantastic. Crust edges were chewy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Service is at the counter and they were pretty helpful with the options. They also have a few Italian grocery items you can buy giving it a bodega feel. Will definitely come here for more pizza next time!

Yelp
Oh boy, this lil new neighbor gem. This used to occupy a cafe, now it's a yummy pizza parlor! It's tiny and straight forward, the pies essentially start off with a similar base and they dress it based on what you get. The house one, oooof, which genius thought to put burrata in a squeeze bottle? I heard and saw their Italian chopped- it looks.... Healthy, and I like healthy, but chops need to stay more classic for me. I've had the house, house with pepperoni, truffle- which was okay, just a lil dry, but the house and w/ pepperoni- now those are the stars!! We ordered three pies the other day and I'm pretty sure they forgot the basil on the Margherita and the house special but maybe they were busy, it was the holidays.. Come give this place a shot! I like Palisades Pizza as well, but it's a completely different pie- you gotta come try! Also, super thin crust? This pizza is practically healthy ;)

Yelp
Out of all of the wisdom I've ever imparted, this might be some of the most important: The best pizza in Los Angeles is made here. I had it yesterday for the first time and it changed my life. For those of you who will now need to travel up to an hour or more to participate in this wondrous feat of culinary delight I apologize....and be sure to thank me later. PS: I was so busy reveling in pizza-happiness that I didn't take a single photo of my food. We got a half/half pie of plain cheese and the house special. PPS: Everything about the vibe here is just like a Big New York meets Los Angeles hug of taste, community and love.

Yelp
We stopped by here after Skull Rock Loop Trail hike. There were metered parallel parking in front of the store (free on Sunday and people were leaving frequently from the farmers market by noon). The store needs more recognizable signage as it was easily missed even with Google maps telling us the location. We wish we had time for the farmers market walkable to nearby. We ordered a whole meat lovers. The ingredients were fresh (freshly grated Parmesan even and prosciutto and basil layered on top). The thin crust was crispy. I wish it was more saucy (as it was a bit too dry for me and maybe the sauce would balance the slightly salty meat better), but I guess that might make the crust soggier. Overall a good meal.

Yelp
Yep, this place is awesome! Seriously one of my favorite pizza places in LA so far, and I take my pizza VERY seriously. We came here on a whim because somebody I met on a bus recommended it to me and they were not lying. My favorite thing about this place is, as you can see, they do not spare on the burrata!! The staff was so kind and helped guide us through their menu and we ended up getting their most popular pizza, which, as I've said, was fabulous. DEFINITELY check this place out!

Yelp
Best secret in Palisades. Thin crunchy crust. Casual spot in the neighborhood. Nothing like it anywhere.

Yelp
This review is based on ordering gluten free pizza. Salad was good. We ordered margherita pizza and it came out as thin burned crust with minimum amount of sauce and cheese that didn't even cover the whole crust. We went back to ask if they made mistake and they said that's the right pizza and they can add fresh basil on top if we want...We tried eating it but it tasted like was dry cardboard. It was the worst gluten free pizza we tried. Owner was very friendly and gets a star.
google avatar

Yelp
Super good pizza! One of the best I've ever had. We had the Bianca, pepperoni, cheese, house special and truffle. All were amazing! The service is great too. Elias took care of us! Will definitely be back for more.

Yelp
Pizza is a blood sport in Los Angeles. If you're gonna get in the ring, expect a few punches. Pizza is L.A.'s favorite fast food. I've have been eating pizza, in one form or another, for decades. Great pizza comes in many forms, but there is a unifying factor to this product... consistency. I spend a lot of time thinking about pizza as a matter of course, and realized just how much of NYC slice in L.A. is apocryphal. The classic New York slice has areas of sauce and cheese, a darker crust, a lightly seasoned, uncooked tomato "sauce", and maybe a little Romano cheese sprinkled over the top for extra tang. When I take a bite, I want to have a flashback to all the times I grabbed a slice in midtown, or Brooklyn. That said, not every technicality is necessary. Flour Cafe & Pizzeria missed the mark by putting out L.A. style NY pizzas with L.A. prices to boot. Anything more than $5/slice is outrageous. Pallisades prices are more about paying the rent than traditions and ingredients. L A. is teeming with incredible pizza spots that are reshaping the City's rep. At Flour Cafe, we are witnessing the birth of the L.A.-style NY pizza. You can find just about every Americanized style of food. About the only thing I can't yet find in Southern California is an outstanding version of NY style pizza. Good pie, good effort, good grief!

Fredda J.

Yelp
Sometimes you read reviews and think they may be overstated. However, I thought I'd give Flour Cafe & Pizzeria a try since I haven't been that lucky finding that great pizza locally. Search is done. We ordered the House pie and it was delicious! Not only was it prepared with fresh ingredients, but watching the final presentation of cheese, basil, and honey added, gave it another upgrade. Crust was also perfect. This will be our new go to.
google avatar

Art G.

Yelp
What a perfect pizza! Simple with high quality ingredients. I got a slice of pepperoni and a slice of the Bianco pizza. The flavors are very well balanced. The crust is crisp with a light char and a perfect pairing with the simple but flavorful toppings. They also will grate fresh parmigiana on top and add fresh basil if you want it on your slice. I definitely will be back!

Yelp
Best pizza in Pacific Palisades. Finally, a real pizzeria comes to the Palisades. A nice daily special too.
google avatar

Sassalina J.

Yelp
As far as La pizza goes this place was very good. I wish it was just a little bit thicker but great taste good sauce not too sweet not too acidic.
google avatar

Allen L.

Yelp
I've been looking for an NY pizza spot in the Palisades and I finally found one! The pizza here is like heaven - it's light, tasty, and made with high quality ingredients. It seems like they constantly have pies coming out of the oven. Do not miss their house special! It's a little sweet and spicy at the same time. The staff here is great and make it a fun place to visit. They are friendly and it felt like I was back home on Long Island. It's an easy spot to grab a slice or pie to go. Or, you can sit at one of the tables out front (dog friendly). Can't wait to go back again. This is definitely my new neighborhood spot!
google avatar

Mike P.

Yelp
I went for the first time today in response to a free slice giveaway. Actually, they gave me 2 slices. Very friendly folks. The pizza is outstanding! It costs more than the big chain store but well worth it. The flour for the dough is from Italy, and yes it has that taste! I'll be back.
google avatar

Nicole A.

Yelp
Saw this place and decided to try it out and WOW such good quality pizza and wonderful customer service. They were very kind and generous.
google avatar

Pat M.

Yelp
I've been ordering pizza here for six months. This place has possibly the best pizza in LA.
google avatar

Jason S.

Yelp
I was visiting a friend in the neighborhood. He and his wife told me about Flour on our walk around town. Flour was special because they import their flour from Italy. We cruised by for a look. I was impressed. On my way home, a lightbulb goes off. I couldn't resist trying it. I stopped in again a little after closing to order a cheese pie cooked well done. They got the well done char just right. The chill staff graciously took care of me. Relieved they did. The pizza? Might be the best I've ever had. For reference, my other top pizzas are Vito's, Prime Pizza, Pizzeria Mozza and Larchmont's Village Pizzeria. Flour probably topped them all. Thin, crispy, satisfying. High quality ingredients you can taste. The bonus is they offer breakfast drinks and pastries too, as I was told it used to be a coffee shop. They sell other things too like imported artisan pastas. The space itself is clean, minimalist and modern. I don't even live in the Pacific Palisades and I joined their loyalty program. Will be stopping in again, maybe on the way to the beach in the morning or coming back for dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
This is probably the best pizza you can get in Los Angeles. For authentic, Brooklyn style thin crust pizza made in a piping hot oven there is no question this is the place if you're in LA. I live in New York but spend a lot of time in LA. I'm not down on the pizza you can get in LA but there's never been a place that comes close to the NY experience. This is it, legit and delish. And they offer slices! Slices always seem to be a foreign concept in LA but they get it. There is a also a great gluten-free crust offering. I order an entire pie of the gluten free margherita with the idea of having it over a couple of days; let's just say that strategy didn't work. Can't recommend this place highly enough, a rare instance for me where I wish Yelp offered a bonus star to make it six.
google avatar

Beaux J.

Yelp
Ok people, listen up, this pizzeria is AMAZING when I dined here I was with all my friends and there was so many different kinds of pizza I have never heard of. I got the "Rosa" pizza which was the dough and the sauce with Parmesan on the top. The service is great and they heat up your pizza in make it in front of you in under five minutes. I TOTALLY recommend!

Jeronimo J.

Yelp
This spot is a hidden gem. The pizza is one of the best in LA. The only place I put above them is Apollonias. Perfect crunch and ratio of cheese and sauce on the pizza, everything taste so fresh. Great location and the restaurant itself is very clean and has a nice retro vibe to it.
google avatar

Odemarys M.

Yelp
I am not big on writing reviews unless the food is worth the time. This place it's PHENOMENAL!! The pizza, the sandwich & salad were all 5/5. Take this from someone who is very picky about restaurants. If you are considering coming here Just do it!!! I promise you won't regret it, some random dude here says he drives from OC for this pizza, I now understand! Chef kiss! The staff is so kind and the service was so friendly, shout out to Wilson!

Jen R.

Yelp
Some of the best service I've ever received. Wanted to ask each employee if they were the owner. That's the sign of a great business! Not to mention the pizza is INSANELYGOOD. Some of the best pizza in LA. Especially the one with honey on it. Glad I don't live nearby because I'd be there everyday
google avatar

George M.

Yelp
Great pizza, love the pepperoni and house special burrata. The crust is thin and crispy. There is seating inside and out and pop music playing all the time.

Roger P.

Yelp
OMG...What a New York Style Pizza! I'm 78 years old and I've never written a review, good or bad...But this place deserves my first...It is hands down the best New York Style (pepperoni) Pizza in Los Angeles....and in toney Pacific Palisades...and reasonably priced...don't order double pepperoni....it will be too much...the dough, perfect, the sauce, delicious..the bottom, dry...I get a full 18" pie at least once a week...if requested, they will add shredded Parm and cut-up Basil after your pizza comes out of the oven...Go!...you will thank me for this review.
google avatar

John Y.

Yelp
The classic neighborhood pizza spot that's worth traveling outside of the neighborhood for! The ingredients at Flour and the attention to detail are really what make their pizza stand out from the rest. I love the pepperoni here - the little meat cups are bursting with flavor. The price is great too: ~ $20 for a pizza that is difficult for two hungry adults to finish.
google avatar

Marco A.

Yelp
Being from New York, I am a pizza fanatic and I finally found an amazing spot. Flour Cafe and Pizzeria is the best pizza in the Palisades. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and it was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this new pizza place. You will not be disappointed!!!

Lia H.

Yelp
My first time at Flour and it was so amazing! Orlando is the best and was so helpful! This pizza is my new number one favorite in la! So happy I found this spot amazing pizza spot! Such amazing ingredients you can really tell this pizza was made with love!
google avatar

Stephen W.

Yelp
Honestly the best pizza I've had in L.A. Other pizza seems standard or boring. It's all one step away from Pizza Hut. But Flour is special! The crust and sauce are tremendous. Our favorites are the house special and the bianca. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Daniel H.

Yelp
I highly highly highly recommend this place! We called a few minutes after closing, and they happened to have one pizza left and the ovens on, and they were very kind about it, and really hooked us up. We live right down the alleyway, and so now the only downside is, we have to hold back from eating it every night. The house special was superb. You can't go wrong! The management is super kind. 10/10

Bertie M.

Yelp
The food was amazing. The service was great and the ambience of everything. Everything is very good. David and Hyman and Wilson were great servers. Come check out flower pizzeria.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
We love Flour pizza. So delish. Great topping combos. And super fresh ingredients.
google avatar

Shane L.

Yelp
Great for take out. Pizza is yummy, large portion, and a reasonable price. I Recommend the house special with burrata and spicy honey. We enjoyed it very much!
google avatar

Staci R.

Yelp
This is the best Pizza on the Westside and possibly in all of Los Angeles! The house special is our favorite, but every other pizza is good too! We love that you can buy it by the slice, the whole family can get what they want!
google avatar

Slater T.

Yelp
Hands down the best pizza place in the LA area. My wife and I came from Orange County to see what it was about. Affordable fancy pizza WOOO!

Gail P.

Yelp
I am reviewing the coffee. This is the original Estate Coffee. There espresso is the best- and I have tried them all. Their morning staff are so warm and efficient and know who you are and what you like. The new management is not promoting coffee - only pizza. If you want good , hot, delicious espresso drinks, to there in the morning. There is no signage that shows they have a great coffee, espresso, pastry menu. It is a CAFE- still! They are on Via De La Paz in Pac Pal.

Jim K.

Yelp
I love this cafe! The coffee is delicious and the staff is always so friendly and happy to see you! A truly great neighborhood spot!
google avatar

Jack W.

Yelp
Without a doubt the best New York style slice in Los Angeles, with an extremely crispy undercarriage and the freshest ingredients in the land. Great patio area out front with plenty of seating. Tell the homie Stefan that J1 sent you and he'll get you right.
google avatar

John E.

Yelp
I'm from NY and live in the Palisades for over 4 years and this is as close as your going to get to a NYC Pie..! This was my first pizza from Flour but definitely will not be my last. Quality ingredients, great tasting dough, sauce is just right, friendly staff. So do yourself a favor n stop reading this review and go grab a pie you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

evan p.

Yelp
Reluctantly writing this review because I like walking in and getting a slice and once this place gets discovered it's going to be lines out the door. The owners a super nice guy and the pizza is hands down the best New York slice I've had on the Westside. Love the cupped pepperoni, love the grated parm on slices in house. I basically tell everyone to try this place I talk to about pizza because it's that good.
google avatar

Alex B.

Yelp
Wow!! I'm speechless. Robert and the team have created one of the best pizzas if not the very best in all of Southern California!! The pizzas are to die for, the service is incredible, and you can't ask for anymore than that. This place rocks, and the owner Robert has finally brought NY style pizza to LA! Thank you for everything
google avatar

Lucas M.

Yelp
Lovely little shop, just off Sunset. First, it's not easy finding a solid by-the-slice spot. This is top notch pie... reasonably priced somehow, too. I went with a slice of pepperoni and added burrata and hot honey... they grated some Parmesan and added fresh basil after pulling it from the oven. Insanely tasty. Will absolutely be back. Will absolutely be evangelizing about Flour. Kudos. Cute hand-painted window sign, too.
