First timer here. This place was the bomb! The staff was super nice and friendly. My husband and I got the grilled crack and breakfast burrito and the flavor was incredible and portions were 👌🏽. Got some pastries to try as well, they had some samplers too. They said they have a new chef working on some recipes so I'll definitely be watching them and coming back. Awesome neighborhood joint!

Flourhouse is genuinely amazing. I got the breakfast burrito and a cinnamon bun. The burrito was probably the best I've ever had. Homemade tortilla, piping hot (double wrapped), generous portion of egg cheese avocado salsa and more. Each bite was pure bliss. The cinnamon bun was light and refreshing (strange way to describe it but trust me, it's excellent). Super friendly people behind the counter too, and everything is well lit, clean and inviting.

Mike and Patty’s has some of the best breakfast sandwiches in Newton! They are a must stop in our weekend routine. We most recently tried their baked goods in the form of an Almond Bostok and Corn/Jalepeño/Cheddar muffins. They were so good we bought 12 for a barbecue. Highly recommend giving them a try!

This place is tucked back in Newton, but once you find it, it’s worth it! Super cute inside, not a ton of options when I went in, but what was there looked fantastic. The sandwich was exactly what I was looking for, fresh baked English muffin, crisp bacon, perfectly runny egg. Definitely recommend checking g out one of their locations!

I’ve been hearing so much about Mike & Patty’s and was excited to finally try it. Went to the location in Newbury, and the Staff was so warm and friendly. They went through the menu with us and made some suggestions based on what we liked. I ended up trying The Fancy and it did not disappoint - the egg, melted cheese, bread, it was all over so flavorful! Looking forward to trying their other sandwiches

This sandwich was heavenly. I actually missed the sandwich after each bite. Mike and Pattys is a must try. I only had the breakfast grilled crack but I can’t wait to go back and try some others. Also the pastries at this location in Newton looked amazing as well. Overall had a great experience, loved the food, and would 100% recommend.

Great sandwiches and great service! We ordered the baller and the crack and they’re both so good. Can never turn down iberico ham/bacon! Will def come back and the maple cream cold brew was excellent too!

I’ve gotten the Carolina Caviar breakfast sandwich a few times when I’ve been in the area. It’s been great each time—the pimento is a good touch! For about $10 it is a fair value considering the very tasty made-in-house English muffins. There are a few seats inside, but the location is very convenient for takeout.

This bakery is truly a hidden gem. It is legit hidden but absolutely a gem. The vibe is cutesy and the service amazing. Their artisanal pastries are so innovative, fun, and yummy. I had the best muffin I've EVER had - Matcha Mojito Muffin. The "fancy" sandwich was amazing also! The rest were good but those are my favorites. You honestly won't get disappointed at Flourhouse!

TLDR; Long wait time, botched order, delicious sausage. I really wanted to like this place & fully expected to (considering the great reviews & the mentions of gluten-free options) but it fell flat for me. I stopped by at around 11 AM on a Saturday, & waited in line briefly before reaching the counter to order. I asked about gluten-free options, & was unfortunately informed that my options were slim. Normally they have gluten-free loaves of bread for sale, which I was really looking forward to, but they were sold out. Oh well. Saturday. I get it. The only other option was a decadent looking brownie, which I decided against. I went for a breakfast sandwich instead. I asked for sausage & cheese (no egg) with avocado on gluten free bread. I repeated "no egg" a few times. I'm sure you, dear reader, can guess where this is going... I also asked for something spicy. The nice employee recommended sriracha ketchup, to which I must've made a face like this D: because avocado & ketchup together is a cardinal sin. No thanks. So I asked for just sriracha. The sandwich was $14. I waited for what seemed like a considerable amount of time for a breakfast sandwich. The bakery cleared out & I was still waiting. When my name was finally called, the same nice employee apologized for the wait. Not a problem. When I unpacked my sandwich to eat some 20 minutes later... You guessed it: egg on sandwich. I was hungry & didn't want it to go to waste, so I decided to eat in anyways. After I took a bite, I realized that it was also slathered in sriracha ketchup D: Truly jarring. Also, soggy bread. I still ate the sandwich anyways. Why? Because of the sausage. So good! Delicious, crispy, flavorful. 5/10 sandwich but 10/10 sausage. I think Flourhouse has a good concept but just needs to iron out their operation a little bit. There might be a disconnect between FOH & kitchen. It's also a bit pricey. But I have faith in them. Wishing them the best.

I'm grateful to all the Yelpers who have reviewed this bakery and have led me to my first visit here this morning, while I waited for my car to be serviced near by. 1. The food--a Classic breakfast sandwich, a Chocolate Croissant, and coffee--were perfect. The croissant, in particular, may have been the best one I've had. (Trust me, I've sampled MANY.) In particular, the chocolate filling-and-icing was a satisfyingly bittersweet and plentiful. (For those who prefer milk/sweet chocolate, there is a Nutella version.) 2. The service--at a counter, with some seating in the cozy store--was efficient, friendly, and unobtrusive. I felt perfectly comfortable eating my breakfast at a leisurely pace and then extending my stay to write this review. 3. The space--small but sufficient for the traffic at 8:30 on a workday. Not a place where you could socialize with a large group but perfect for a single person or a couple passing through and interested in excellent food above all. Clearly the store gets lots of call-in takeaway orders which don't tax the limited seating. I'm giving it his cafe 5 stars only because ther is no option to award 25 stars. Thanks to my experience here, my car is guaranteed ample preventative maintenance from now on!

I have been wanting to try this place for a while now after seeing it on Yelp and finally got around to it! Cutest little shop! Flourhouse is affiliated with Mike and Pattys-the Boston sandwich shop (which I have heard raving reviews about) so I thought I would get a sandwich. I got the "classic" and added avocado to it. The English muffin was amazing and egg was fried to perfection. Cheese perfectly melty and gooey. My only disappointment was that the avocado was more of a spread/guacamole than just sliced avocado which I wasn't expecting. It was still good though. I liked the cold brew I got as well it had a nice flavor and came in a super cute bottle. The pastries looked incredible and were so unique. Nutella cruffin, golden chai bun, matcha mojito muffin, etc. not your typical baked good. Will definitely be back to try some of those. The employees that took my order were really friendly and kind. Overall, great vibe and 10/10 for creativity. Really enjoyed this spot.

I tried the breakfast burrito and the nutella cruffin. I had heard great things about the burrito so I was excited to try it! Overall it was pretty tasty but I felt it could have used a little more spice or seasoning. There was plenty of filling so you definitely get your moneys worth. The cruffin was super delicious and so flakey. The nutella filling really hit the spot. I'll definitely be back to try more pastries!

Really cute spot. I had a sausage, egg and cheese on a fresh English muffin. Very good. Also bought the Cruffin which was flaky and fresh. The staff is very friendly and polite. Parking is on the street, but plenty of it mid morning.

The inside is just beautiful. Behind the counter staff is so kind. The berry croissant was flaky and delicious. However, the inside filling didn't have a strong flavor. The cruffin was also delicious. The pie was the best one I've ever had. It was perfect filling ratio. I will be back again very very soon to try some more things

Uber Eats messed up my order and they remade it politely and without hesitation. People were very friendly, and the food is great. Awesome selection of pastries. Great place for quality Gluten Free cooking at a good price. Large GF half loaf only $10-11. 2 for 1 deal on UberEats one of the best options for reasonably priced breakfast around. All around 5 stars!

Double baked croissants!! YES PLEASE! We picked up a few pastries on Sunday morning and this place did not disappoint! They have a few options but everything looked amazing and was amazing! I tried their double baked almond croissant and it was so flaky and buttery that one was not enough! I wanted more! We also ordered some cinnamon rolls and some regular croissants and some popover pastries. They also had some wheat bread and English muffins for sale. We definitely want to try some of those next time we come!

Tried this place a couple weeks ago and wowww They serve Mike and Patty's breakfast sandwiches and have a good selection of pastries! When I tell you you have to try the Milk Bread Cinnamon Bun, I mean you HAVE to. It was so fluffy and unlike any other cinnamon bun I've had. The Nutella Cruffin (croissant-muffin) is super flaky and had a generous amount of nutella. The breakfast sandwiches we tried (Breakfast Grilled Crack and Carolina caviar) were both really good- there was an interesting sauce on the Carolina Caviar one that made it pretty unique. The staff there was super friendly and gave helpful recommendations. It's really cute inside but there isn't too much seating (a couple chairs and a few seats at a counter), so it looked like a lot of people were getting stuff to go. Would definitely go here again and again!

Everything here is AMAZING. I love Mike & Pattys so I knew this place would be great. Every pastry I tried was so good and fresh. The flavors are super unique and I loved trying their winter desserts. I cannot wait to try more desserts that come out! They also serve the classic Mike & Pattys sandwiches I love so much.

High quality bakery with a great selection , I wish it was in my town , this place made me a fan of croissants . I've gone twice and have been very satisfied, looking forward to going again

This bakery is great! Very small a little secluded off the street but a great find. Some of the best croissants I have ever had. They price is a bit high but excepted for a specialty bakery. They also offer breakfast sandwiches. They do sell out of things on weekends so get there early. The staff was friendly and the area was very clean.

BEST croissants in the area! The croissants here are flaky, buttery, and have a great airy/outer crisp (my favorites here are their plain and double baked almond croissants). I've tried plenty of croissants around the area including Iggys, Little L, Mamadou's, Breadbroad Bakery, Lakon Paris, Cafe Madeline (now closed), Third Cliff, Clear Flour Bakery, La Saison, Praline, Colette, Forge, Tradesman Coffee, Galit's, Butternut Bakehouse, Bakehaus, Quebrada, but Flourhouse is my favorite. So happy i found this place!

I still love their croissants and go way out of my way to get them, BUT this time I preordered the chocolate croissants because they were listed as having a candy crumble and pastry cream. I hadn't had that before, so I ordered 2, instead of my usual almond croissants. I also got 2 Nutella cruffins (which delivered as always). When I picked them up, they were regular chocolate croissants, without ANY crumble or pastry cream. No huge deal, although I would have picked the almond if I'd known. I mostly wanted them to know that maybe the website is wrong, maybe the croissants were not made to match. One or the other, right? My issue is that I sent a direct message on their (active) social media, then a comment on their post days later, then a contact through their website regarding this (figuring it was just an erroneous entry on their website, but it is misleading even if not intentional). Absolutely no answer! I don't patronize businesses that ignore customers, especially in this many different ways. I hope to be able to give them my business again in the future, but they really need to answer in some manner. I would not have updated my review if I had received any reply whatsoever, but it's been a week and I am very disappointed. I travel out of state to patronize this business, and it's a rare financial and dietary splurge, so I want it to be a positive experience. Edit: I checked because my social media comment was gone, and their whole (previously busy) account seems to have been deleted. What is going on?

My daughter and I stopped by one morning and found these yummy treats. If you're familiar with Mike and Patty breakfast sandwiches then you need to go check this out. They branched out and these pastries are perfection! We got regular croissants (can always tell if a place is good based on the basics), sweet bread cinnamon rolls (nice and fluffy), and 2 cruffins. They're just the perfect amount of crunch and flakiness. It's such a great gem. It's hidden from the main street behind the barber shop. I can't wait to go back for more!

Everything is so pink and girly inside and out! Very friendly and welcoming staff! Only tried the sweet items but everything was delicious! My favorites were the lemon croissant and gingerbread cookie. Definitely want to come back and try their breakfast sandwiches and other pastries. Definitely recommend checking them out!

I love croissants. I will happily scope out a new city for their best croissants. How other people might feel about vintage cars or golf clubs, I feel about croissants. The croissants at Flourhouse are GOLD. I snagged the last plain one of the day and carrying that baby out in both hands, I felt like a winner, like the universe had cleared a path forward for me. Though it may have sat on the baking tray for some of the morning, it retained that perfect crust where the first few layers shoot out of your mouth in shards, with a wonderfully chewy, flaky interior. Come here early and pre-order (their website is really nicely laid out) if you can, since things sell out fast. I had my eye on the twice-baked almond croissant, which was already gone when we got there. My husband chose the raspberry crunch bar, which was packed with gooey fruit and a nice almost cake-like base. Can't wait to come back and try the English muffins and the famous Mike & Patty's breakfast sandwiches. And the sourdough and multigrain loaves. The storefront is a little easy to miss, so just keep an eye for the pink and green sign. Street parking's available.

We love this hidden gem in Newton! They have quite the lineup of delicious and beautiful pastries! We also love that they have seasonal items too! From the different textures, fillings and decorations there's something for everyone! Can't wait to go again!

Really cute interior! I had cinnamon roll and it was fresh and chewy! The sausage egg and cheese was also incredible.The house made English muffins make a huge difference from your typical breakfast sandwich.

OMG I almost don't want to say how good this bread is. I got this little loaf, all vegan. Seeded, wheat berries and molasses. It's that kind of bread, that's chewy, crunchy and fresh. A hard to find, hope they sell forever kinda bread. A bit pricy, but I think everything is these days. Good job!

This was my first time vision Flourhouse bakery in Newton! It was tucked away but hard to miss! The outside was decorated in the most beautiful pink flowers (perfect for that insta shot), and inside was equally as aesthetic! The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered three pastries and one breakfast sando. They all looked as delish as they tasted! The Nutella cruffin hit the SPOT and the apple muffin was perfect for a fall treat. The berry croissant was tangy and delightful. I will be coming back again!!

Stopped by this place on a whim and the food far exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for an elevated breakfast sandwich, look no further. I never get excited about breakfast food but the Flourhouse Bakery nailed it. "The Fancy" was probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had-- far from your standard bacon, egg and cheese. I hope the Flourhouse Bakery considers expanding their coffee menu and adds seating, even if it's small tables. With those additions, I could see them doing exceptionally well in towns like Newton and Andover.

LOVE this place. There's something for everyone, fresh sweet pastries and savory Mike & Patty's breakfast sandwiches. The Nutella cruffin is my absolute favorite, I wish I could eat it every day. The Fancy breakfast sandwich is actually life changing too. Seriously good stuff here!!

Walked in sat morning. No one at counter waited 5 minutes still no one. A few different type muffins an a rack $5 each. 2 loaves of bread on counter and three items in a display that may or may not have been real or just for display. Not what I was expecting so I left

The "crack" sandwich is now my favorite sandwich along with their strawberry apple juice and cinnamon rolls.

Superb breakfast sandwiches (we ordered the Fancy, the Crack, and the Classic), excellent coffee cake muffin (flavorful and moist), and good coffee - we will definitely be returning! Note that there's no seating.

This is the cutest bakery! The staff is so great and their baked goods are absolutely fabulous. There are so many options to choose from and I can't help but want everything when I walk in. I totally recommend their cruffins! Also, they are sister companies with Mike & Patty's so you can get one of their amazing sandwiches there too!

Great bakery and wonderful addition to the area. Let me tell you, the chocolate chip cookies here are special. Really something. Also we were excited to see some of Mike & Patty's famous breakfast sandwiches added to the menu and their English muffins are wonderful. 4/5 because i don't really get the cruffin concept as we've tried a bunch and they're quite dry. We've tried the other cookies too and they are just too sweet. Sadly they made a mistake in our last order and missed giving us the s''mores cookies we really wanted to try.

I rarely write reviews unless I am overly impressed. Traveling for 35 minutes and 19 miles, I attended their open house on 9/25/21 to sample their offerings as well as to pick up my preordered pastries to take home to the family. Online order was 4 pieces of the following: Kouign Amann, Lemon curd cruffin and Parmesan chive muffin. I was quite disappointed when I found out that what they had packed for me was just one of each and they had ran out of more to complete the order. They were profusely apologetic and gave me a paper bag filled with bread loaves to make it up to me. i left the shop and opened the box as soon as I got to the car. I stood by the pedestrian curb and opened the box. I opened the box and shamelessly consumed both cruffins one after the other making sure the car had no crumbs to destroy all evidence. As I brought each broken pieces to my mouth, I could feel the tears rolling down the corners of both eyes because they were amazingly sublime!!! Despite their error, I knew I was coming back for more. I just told my family how good everything was and to trust me ! Next day, 9/26/21, the doorbell rang and it was Chris, the director of the company. He drove all the way to our house to deliver my order!!!!!! What else can I say? Aside from their to die for offerings, their customer service is excellent and second to none!!!! Everyone who is a croissant connoisseur has got to have Flour House Bakery on their bucket list! Need I say more?

I was going to be in the area and heard good things so I made a preorder. The english muffins were very good, thick but not dense. The brownie was really good, fudgy in a really good way. The croissants were the only disappointment. Overbaked and dry. Hopefully that was just a off day for the croissants.

Breakfast sandwiches are especially delicious and filling. Vegan option with the mushrooms is excellent.

I very rarely leave Yelp reviews, but I'm still so happy from the incredible Flourhouse milk bread cinnamon roll that me and my husband had this morning that I had to post. We are also huge fans of the breakfast sandwiches and chocolate chip cookies, and our toddler loves the English muffins. It's a problem that we live a 5 minute walk away, but I don't regret a thing. Love this small business!

The English muffins here are absolutely incredible. We drive in from central MA to grab a few packs at a time! The vanilla sugar cruffin and the breakfast sandwiches are also A+. The space is beautiful, and all of the individuals working at Flourhouse are so friendly and helpful. I wish Flourhouse was closer - we'd be there every weekend!

Oh my goodness. The mike & patty's team has seriously outdone itself with its newest venture. This awesome new spot in "the lake" is so amazing and much needed in the area. Now that Russo's is gone, I only get my bread here. The sourdough is the best I've had anywhere. Definitely try the cookies they are AMAZING and the English muffins are to die for. The cruffins are a crowd pleaser at any brunch or coffee spread. Outstanding customer service continues to be this team's secret ingredient and I'm so glad to have this spot so close to home!
