Google
The kind of “health food” restaurant for taking photos of the interior, not the food lol. Salad was bland, some side portions were too salty, everything overall was underwhelming. Lemonade was good! Suggested coming here with friends and cringed when the food came out. Please look at the photos and tell me if they look appetizing or even filling for lunch entrees. If you’re thinking this will be like Veggie Grill, Sweetgreen, or Lemonade LA, prepare to be disappointed.

Google
I give this place 3.5 stars. This is the first location I have ever been to. There are no locations in NYC that I know of. This place is really cute and the service was excellent. I tried one of the bowls. It was fresh and delicious but it was slightly too seasoned. I should gone with the salad and one of the sides. The rose lemonade was excellent. But this is my first time here so I have so many items to try. Nice restaurant.

Google
First time visiting what is now my favorite healthy eats in the area! I tried the ginger miso crunch with a rose water lemonade and I am hooked on the healthy fare at this place. Started with a flavorful, creamy hummus and ended with a chocolate chip cookie, too. Looking forward to trying more. The service is outstanding — we met Isabelle who just added to the already “feel good” vibe the food and atmosphere imparts. Thank you and continued success.

Google
This was our first time at Flower Child. We are not a “healthy food” family but are willing to try some things. I am personally a meat and potatoes and starchy food fan. We tried it and were pleasantly surprised. My wife got the Mother Earth bowl and loved it. The flavors melded together wonderfully and she finished it all. My son got the Chicken BBQ wrap. It too was gone quickly. He enjoyed it. I got The Rebel wrap which included steak and grilled onions. It was delicious. We took a chance and loved it. Be aware that their drinks are not typical. Unsweet tea (flavored at that) and flavored lemonades. If you are looking for sweet drinks, this is not the place. It was worth the stop and we are looking forward to the Ballantyne location opening this spring. A little on the pricey side ($60 for 3 people lunch) but it was good. On the plus side: I am not a fan of open ceiling stores and restaurants because the ceiling is always so filthy dirty. However, I had to take a picture of their ceiling here. After being open 3+ years (per a server), their ceiling was spotless. Very nice to not worry about dirt falling into your food from the vents.

Google
They have this place down to a t!! Great food, great staff and cool vibe. Love flower child, top notch A+. I would eat there everyday!!! Fresh and tasty food. I had the rebel wrap, so good!!

Google
I have to give praise to the staff of Flower Child! I have gone in during the most horrible and horrific hours for food and bev (aka lunch time), and they still were helpful, kind, and friendly. Not only is their food absolutely delicious, but they have lovely staff!! Big kudos to Flower Child for always providing smiles & yummy meals. Keep being awesome!

Google
This place is so cool!! When you walk in you are greeted with a welcoming environment and lovely staff! The menu is very hard to choose from because everything seems so good! Love all the vegan options and i recommend getting the cookie to end the meal 😉

Google
This place is extraordinary, I just want to stay forever 🩷🩷 if you need a place to work and get some good pics in this is the place, very beautiful inside and atmosphere feels relaxing, food delicious, staff very polite, sangria yummy. Everything made fresh, I ordered the Mother Earth bowl so good and filling.. They have a really good menu so much to choose from. I would definitely come back over and over again 🩷🩷 only down side was parking is difficult to find but it’s worth finding parking if you want healthy delicious vegan food 🤤🤤

Yelp
First tried Flower Child in Phoenix and fell in love with it. We were so excited to see that they have a location in Charlotte now. It's the perfect spot for a healthy meal, there's options and flavors for everyone. I love the gluten free mac and cheese, so I had to order that. I tried the king pow cauliflower for the first time and it was amazing. The salmon was prepared well, but it wasn't the most amazing quality- I'd probably go with chicken next time. The ambiance is really cute. Very spacious and colorful. Can't wait to go back, and I really hope we get a Flower Child in durham!

Yelp
I visited Flower Child with my friend during the week, I have passed this establishment on the weekends and it looks so busy but during the week I was able to find a table with no issues. It's a fast casual place where you order at the counter then choose a table where they will bring your meal to you. The menu is large with items that catered to a wide array of dietary restrictions. I ordered the shrimp with mac and cheese and broccoli. While it was good, I wasn't impressed. The meal was something I could make at home quite easily. Also the mac and cheese tasted more like buttered noodles than a cheesy dish that I was expecting. Overall, if you need a place which caters to different dietary restrictions then I would recommend visiting if not, I would recommend finding another restaurant. Being in Southend, there are so many other delicious restaurants I would recommend over Flower Child

Yelp
If you're looking for healthy options for lunch, dinner or just a snack, this is a great place to start. I ordered today for an office lunch meeting and everyone was happy and very excited about their dishes. We had an array of salads, noodles, wraps and entrees plus tasty sides. My favorite today was the Green Chile Queso with chips. The queso is made of chickpea chorizo, white cheddar and yellow corn chips. It has TONS of flavor. It's creamy and a nice kick of heat in every drop. It melts over the chips and the flavor is consistent. I didn't take pics of everyone else's dish but I got a nice video of mine. Come try for yourself. Thank me later!

Yelp
Love flower child! My favorite is the steak bowl. Usually always consistently good. Love the gluten free Mac and cheese and the corn side. Very flavorful and decently healthy. Good takeout or eating there. Airways a go to spot for us.

Jacquelyn A.

Yelp
Definitely exceeded my expectations from looking at the reviews. I got an entree bowl with shrimp, broccoli, sweet potatoes, and cauliflower risotto. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. Seasoning was unique and the broccoli was the best I've ever had. Perfect portion with just enough food.
google avatar

Stacy E.

Yelp
This place has an amazing healthy infused menu. I will say that their seasonal bowl, bulgogi bowl is spicy as heck. I'm Hispanic and I love spicy food, but I like to enjoy for my food. This bowl almost made me stop eating for lunch. To cool off my mouth I had their sangria and risotto cauliflower. All of my food was hot and fresh in a timely manner. Food choices are amazing and they are located right next to ta train station.

Yelp
Chilled sesame noodles were the perfect summer side to spruce up protein leftovers. Lots of great textures from the crunchy apples and cashews, chewy noodles, and creamy sauce. Honestly it was more of a noodle salad given all of the arugula, but I was good with that since I was going for something light.
google avatar

Jenna M.

Yelp
I really liked Flower Child when we tried it, only a 4/5 star due to the price compared to the portion size. Food was fresh, healthy, and delicious. Lots of menu options, nice staff, lots of seating (indoor and outdoor) and cute decor. Did get a bit loud at times though.

Yelp
Flower Child is a restaurant that some people may not think is for them, as it is very much a health food focused concept. I would encourage everyone to let go of their preconceived notions and give it a try because it really is a fun restaurant and a cool dining experience. They have a number of bowls, salads, and wraps, but they also have a unique entree menu that is fun and helps you customize a meal to your tastes. First you choose your protein. They offer steak, chicken, shrimp, salmon, and tofu, I may be forgetting others but that is the core. I highly recommend the steak, it comes out wonderfully cooked and seasoned and cut into strips. Then you can choose two sides to go with it. They offer things like spicy cauliflower, kale salads, or my personal favorite their gluten free Mac and cheese! Most recently I chose to finish my meal off with a bowl of fruit for my second side, it came with pineapple, melon, and orange slices as well as grapes. The menu is fun and easy to create a meal based on what you're craving. After ordering they give you a number and bring out your meal when it's ready, although a lot of people take their meals to go or call in ahead. The place is usually busy but they manage it well and the service is always top notch from my experience. I never expected to like this place as much as I do but I sure am glad I gave it a shot!

Yelp
I actually really liked it here. The food was really tasty and I honestly had such a hard time deciding what to order because it all looked so good. I ended up building my own by choosing a meat and 2 sides. Definitely was satisfied after the meal but not overly stuffed my any means. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to you. Staff were very nice and extremely quick to buss tables after the meal. It's super cute on the inside and there is a good amount of outdoor seating.

Yelp
Aesthetic: Bright, modern counter service restaurant with a wide variety of healthy options. My Favorites: The gluten free mac :) Experience: I've been meaning to give this place a try, and it was a wonderful experience. I tried the hummus appetizer and the GF mac, and both were delicious! I've recently been sensitive to gluten, so this was an exciting treat for me. My mac came out coldish from sitting awhile, and one of the servers came out and brought me a hot one on the house. I thought it was sweet she brought it out and took the initiative, even though I didn't mention it. My husband tried the steak wrap, and he also loved his choice. We're excited for our next chance to have a healthy meal here, I can't wait to try more.

Yelp
Took me a long time to get around to eating here because a place called flower child has to be vegetarian right? Well, it's not and I wish I knew that sooner. This has become one of my favorite places in Charlotte to eat. The chicken enchiladas are amazing! That's about all I can say for the food because that is the only thing I get when I go. Restaurant is huge and there's always plenty of seating. The staff is helpful and service is quick. 10/10 recommend!

Marian W.

Yelp
Food was ok. Over salted and over priced. I ordered the chicks soba noodles and I could barely eat it cause it was too salty. Went home and dunked it in boiling water just so I could finish it. Charlotte can do better.
google avatar

Jazzlyn V.

Yelp
I love this Flower Child location. The staff is always nice and ready to help. Also, the food is DEVINE. My "go-to" is a salmon plate with GF mac and cheese and roasted broccoli. My food always comes out hot, fresh, and flavorful. There is a parking lot next to the location, but it is shared with other retail stores. I also order pick up a lot. Be sure to arrive at the time you selected when ordering because it will not be ready before then.
google avatar

Nishi S.

Yelp
This place never disappoints me. I am always lookout for vegan restaurants and this always has something. This time I ordered Forbidden Rice Bowl, Black bean falafel wrap and vegan chocolate pudding. Everything hits the good nerve. Just a tiny request to the owner, please add some more vegan options so I can try another wrap

Yelp
Unfortunately had a bad experience here the other night. This review is solely about the poor customer service; all the food we ordered was fantastic. I ordered a pick up order via phone around 7pm on a weekday last week. They said it would be a 30 minute wait, no problem. I arrived to pick up my order at 7:30pm, and was told it wasn't ready. So, I sat inside and waited right by the register. I sat there for another 30 minutes!!! At 8pm I went back to the cashier and asked about any update on my order bc it had been one hour since I ordered! The cashier seemed as though she couldn't have cared less and she watched me sit there right in front of her for 30 minutes with no update. Several new guests, doordashers, walk-ins were all served after I arrived and got their food quickly. Not one employee asked me if I needed help or anything. I just sat there waiting. Only to find out that my food was sitting on a back counter forgotten about the entire time!!! When I asked the girl at the register about my order she begrudgingly looked around for my order and just happened to check the lone order sitting off to the side away from all the other orders. It had obviously been put somewhere it shouldn't have. She didn't apologize or say anything about how long I'd waited. She just looked at me like I had 2 heads. I was so livid I couldn't even say anything at all, I just took my order and left. During my wait I saw several employees standing around talking, laughing, etc. Very disappointing. I couldn't believe the lack of attentiveness or concern by at least 6 people that work here. I spent $70 on my order, only to wait an hour for food and for it to be cold once we got it home. This could have easily been avoided. I honestly don't think I will ever visit Flower Child again.

Yelp
Flower Child is an excellent option for those looking for a healthy and fresh meal! The service is great and I love the south end location. With plenty of seating inside and outside I love coming here to get lunch and work for a bit. I really haven't had anything bad here!
google avatar

Sam B.

Yelp
I got the steak with smashed potatoes and broccoli. The sides were the star of the show. The broccoli was some of the best I've had, so tender and well seasoned. The smashed potatoes were really creamy and buttery with the right consistency. The steak was good nothing insane. I'd say it's good for if you want a cool vibe and some 'healthy' food. Service was quick and friendly too. 4.3/5
google avatar

Joyce L.

Yelp
Fresh & delicious. I absolutely love the happy decor, the large windows for lots of natural light... the service was quick & friendly. This seems like a great place for long slow lunches with friends. My cousin & I had the chopped veggie, mine with tofu, hers with chicken. Of course we had to balance out the meal with fries! Everything was fresh and delicious, the fries done perfectly and not greasy at all. I hope to come again during my next visit to Charlotte.
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
This is a chain I frequent for take out. It's consistently reliable and their veggies are delicious. I usually stick to a steak plate, and the Mac and cheese, and rotate a veggie. The space is a little loud with the open kitchen concept so I don't prefer to dine in. Solid take out spot!
google avatar

Destiny B.

Yelp
This place is soooo cute. There are lots of options on the menu for those of us who want to eat healthy food. Although the portion sizes are a little smaller, the food will fill you up! Service was also cool (after they hand over your food, you're kind of on your own. But a server will come check on you). PS the sauce on the sweet potatoes was so good
google avatar

Beverly C.

Yelp
If you are looking for a clean yet flavorful meal this is the place. There are many types of cuisines represented in their menu, the staff is nice and the restaurant is beautiful. I will be back.
google avatar

Lydia O.

Yelp
I always find it difficult to find healthy food that's actually good. Flower Child checks all the boxes! It's healthy, and actually feels healthy, it's light, and it has great flavor. The best thing of it all is it has something for everyone! If you go with a group, regardless of any dietary restrictions, this place can't miss!
google avatar

Rika T.

Yelp
This place was absolutely delicious! I ordered the sangria and noodle and initially I didn't like how the noodles looked. It was very tasty. I walked in and stood in line. I ordered and got my food about 10 minutes later. The sangria was absolutely amazing!!!! So much so I went back for seconds.
google avatar

Amanda G.

Yelp
The food is delicious here. I love that they have meat and vegetarian options. My friend had a wrap and she enjoyed it. I had the tofu and side of broccoli and kale salad. It's a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it

Brian J.

Yelp
Ordered online at 6:34pm for pickup on my way home. When I arrived, there was no line for walk‑ins--yet I still waited 40+minutes. Meanwhile I watched several people stroll in, order, and leave with their food in 10‑15minutes. At 7:15pm I gave up, got a refund, and left. Online orders are clearly and intentionally delayed even when not busy. If you're set on FlowerChild, order in person
google avatar

Richard A.

Yelp
Got the chopped vegetable salad with chicken. Ingredients greens, romaine, carrots, snap peas, radishes, tomatoes, cucumber, sesame seeds and vinaigrette dressing. I added a chicken for my protein. Everything was very fresh and tasty. The chicken was moist. Everything was organic.
google avatar

Claire B.

Yelp
So fresh and delicious! If you're looking for a tasty, healthy spot this is your place. I got the Mediterranean chicken kabob bowl and loved every bite. So many other plates I'd love to try. Will be back!
google avatar

Kathryn E.

Yelp
I love visiting Flower Child for a quick, healthy bite! The cauliflower risotto here is one of my favorites. It's vegan, but has a bit of a cheesy taste to it (guessing from nutritional yeast). I find the sweet potatoes with bok choi to be well seasoned and filling. I'm not normally a pudding person, but I can't pass up the chocolate pudding here. The consistency is so divine! The service here is always great and the food is ready quickly. The decor is super cute as well and I love taking advantage of the patio when weather allows.
google avatar

Caroline F.

Yelp
This is one of the chains that is absolutely worth visiting! It especially feels good to not have to consciously choose to eat healthy as the whole menu is full of veggies and natural ingredients. My favourites are the forbidden rice, the sweet potato noodles, the kale salad and the cheesy cauliflower. The sangria is also delicious.
google avatar

Zach S.

Yelp
The French onion rebel wrap is to die for. I prefer the sweet potato fries but a friend suggested the Mac and cheese, it's good but I like the fries much more
google avatar

Morgan M.

Yelp
A serene, feel-good, and cute dining experience where wellness meets thoughtful flavor. The mac and cheese is indulgently satisfying, and the broccoli shines with roasted depth. The tofu was a touch underseasoned, but the staff graciously offered a substitution if I needed it. A bright, nourishing gem.
google avatar

Kellie C.

Yelp
I ordered one of their meals where you can pick different sides and a main. It's very healthy. If that's what you're looking for, this may be for you. Otherwise, I feel like I could make this better at home. I suppose it's good if you're looking for something hearty, healthy, and fast. The restaurant itself is very cute.
google avatar

Cecilia M.

Yelp
This was a great place to go with people that have dietary restrictions or preferences. One vegan, other with gluten, dairy restrictions as with others severe food allergies. The food, service and everything else was pretty good. I loved the feel of the place, had a great time.

karen d.

Yelp
Everything was amazing I am a person with little words Go try it !! Went with my picky grands they loves it

Sania M.

Yelp
I would love to give this place 4-5 stars but the reason it gets 3 is because this location consistently serves me CHARRED broccoli when I order to go and it's very annoying since it's basically inedible. I will now have to make sure to dissect my food before picking it up to make sure It's not burnt... do better please
google avatar

Sammie M.

Yelp
Loved the ambience and layout. Asked ordered to go and told the would text when order was ready waited 15 minutes returned and told it was sitting on the shelf for pickup! Why ask my name and phone number if you don't let the person sitting outside know order is ready? Ginger bowl was full of dry white cabbage and not enough carrots and other veggies and 1sauce is not enough to mix through that large bowl of cabbage & lettuce
google avatar

Trish B.

Yelp
After trying the new flower child in Ballantyne and loving it, I decided to give the one in Southend a chance. I order a bean wrap and the Mother Earth bowl. When I walked in a nice lady greeted me and showed me where to grab my takeout. The restaurant was well maintained however there were too many flies for my comfort level. Others seemed to be unbothered, but I was fanning them out the way and the representative apologized for it. When I walked in and few were mostly near the take out section. However the food looks tasty and if it's consistent with the other location I'm sure it's a treat. I will try other options at a different location. I really love that they have healthy food that's easy to modify.
google avatar

Danielle K.

Yelp
I came to flower child for lunch with my friend. I'm visiting with her in North Carolina. She picked this restaurant since they had tons of vegan and vegetarian options for me as well as meat options for her. They have a large variety of different foods salad, bowls, combinations, and wraps, you order at the register and they give you a number and you find your seat. They Bring you your food as well as bus your table after. I really enjoyed my mother earth bowl. Honestly, it was delicious. Each component had different flavors. They had two different sauces. However, my favorite sauce was on the sweet potato. It had a little spice, but lots of flavor. I asked for more of the sauce to put on my tofu. I'm very happy that I went there and I was full after. my friend had the chicken noodles and she enjoyed it a lot as well. We are both satisfied and happy and we purchased a cookie to go. We ordered drinks to fill on our own. They had passion fruit , iced tea, mango, iced tea and lemonade. They were all refreshing. I would definitely return here.
google avatar

jessica s.

Yelp
The food here is great and the atmosphere is fun. The only complaint I have is the portions are very small and we left here feeling not full. For the price you pay I personally think the portions should be larger. Besides that we loved the new Flower Child in the Ballantyne Bowl!
google avatar

Binoy V.

Yelp
What a catchy colorful Spring themed spot in the hip south end neighborhood. I loved their veggie & organic forward menu with a focus on healthy yet enticing meals. They also have a pleasing open layout with outdoor seating as well. We tried the Green chile queso, Roasted Sweet potato fries, Mother Earth bowl, Ginger miso crunch salad and the Kombucha. While the food is really wholesome, the taste buds try hard to like it. If they perhaps work to enhance their condiments, the meal would be absolute winner with it becoming delicious & healthy both checked off. Service is nice & on point. I would recommend Flower child if you wanna feel good about your meal.

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Always love me some flower child. I get the same thing everytime. Brussels and kale salad with chicken and a side of the glazed sweet potato. It's delicious and healthy and never disappoints. Atmosphere is always great and staff is forever friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
So many gluten free options! Depending on what time you arrive, there may be a long line, but once you actually order the food comes out pretty quick. Sweet potato fries is a must try.

Melinda W.

Yelp
So good, so healthy and so CUTE! Prices was good. Great for family experience too. Don't hesitate to take kids.
google avatar

Pat M.

Yelp
Stopped here at lunch time for a quick out of town business meal. Place is definitely busy between 12-1 but they are efficient at handling the crowd. Plenty of options so anyone could find something they like here. New age farmhouse style building with lots of greenery and a great outdoor patio. Will absolutely be returning here on my next Charlotte visit. Entree: "The Entree" with Chicken, Gold Potatoes and Broccoli (Forgot to snap a pic, will add later)

Yelp
UPDATE* Bravo to the manager Johan and the staff. They have done an excellent job with attention to detail with cook time, and overall experience when dining at Flower Child. My previous visit was lacking a bit with the food presentation, and taste. The decor and ambiance was already grade A, I just wanted the meal to match. As you can see from my photos, they knocked it out of the park. I ordered the steak entree again, with two sides (I was told the brussel sprouts were 86'd) but the broccoli are a fitting replacement. The most obvious takeaway is the temperature is on par with what's advertised on the menu...medium cook steak with delicious greens and creamy mac and cheese. I can even tell they pulled back on the salt/seasoning, it's a much more balanced dish. I can't wait to go back, this is truly a master class in service recovery.

Yelp
Delicious fresh food and perfectly cooked veggies! Calming homelike atmosphere with beautiful plants in abundance. Super friendly staff and friendly service

Yelp
Loved the kale and Brussel sprouts salad. Sweet potato fries were good too! Food was ready quickly!

Yelp
"Healthy Food for a Happy World" Their slogan sums it up. My daughters and I ate here while visiting Charlotte. We were first-timers as evidenced by our extended study of the menu. LOL!! - Tasty healthy entrees with bold flavors. No additional seasoning was needed. We ordered (1) bird is the word wrap (without broccoli), came with a green salad; (2) glow bowl with chicken; and (3) shrimp entree with kale salad and broccoli - Excellent service by staff who enjoy their jobs and take care to ensure the food is prepared properly. - Chilled ambiance with bright lighting and cheery wallpaper that makes you smile as soon as you enter. It was such a treat. I highly recommend FC for anyone looking for something other than fried food.
