Flower Outlet and Gifts may be a small shop, but it's overflowing with beauty--both in the flowers and in the people who work there. I've visited twice now, and each time I've had the pleasure of being helped by Cyrus, who is as kind and thoughtful as they come. On my first visit, I was with my two-year-old daughter, who was completely enchanted by the roses. While Cyrus crafted a stunning bouquet for us, my daughter chatted away about the flowers. When he handed me the finished arrangement (which was absolutely beautiful), he also surprised us by giving my daughter a single rose of her own--just because he'd overheard her fascination. That small act of kindness lit up her whole day, and she cherished that rose in her room for the next two weeks. Today, I returned to the shop and Cyrus was there again. As he put together another breathtaking bouquet of dark and light pink roses, I told him I remembered his thoughtful gesture. His response was simple but powerful: "It's our job to be kind to each other. If we aren't kind to each other, who will be?" Once again, he gifted a rose for my daughter--though she wasn't with me this time--just to brighten her day. The flowers and plants at Flower Outlet and Gifts are gorgeous, but it's the heart behind the business that makes it truly special. Cyrus's warmth and generosity have left a lasting impression on my family. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for beautiful blooms and genuine kindness.

I ordered flowers from Flower Outlet and Gifts in Oakland yesterday for my family, and I couldn't be happier with the service! The arrangement was absolutely beautiful—gorgeous colors and fresh blooms. Their prices are very reasonable, and the delivery was prompt and right on time. Syroos, the owner is so lovely, professional and pleasant to work with. He kindly donated a generous amount of gorgeous and high quality flowers for the Oaktoberfest 2021 event in Oakland to support his local community. I even bought three new and well loved, super healthy plants from him for my new home! He has been so helpful and kind, and his flowers, plants and arrangements are gorgeous and well tended to. Visit him for all your plant and flower needs! I highly recommend!

Then over on the far counter, I saw the most beautiful heart shaped arrangement with daisies that were white, and different shades of pink. I asked Cyrus what that one was for. He told me it was for a funeral. I didn't ask anymore questions…just took some more pictures…and thought about how I probably won't notice what flowers will be at my funeral. Those daisies were simple and peaceful…yeah…they would be nice…even though I probably wouldn't see them.

WOW, what a great find. Not much to look at from the outside, and it's not huge, but this is Definitely one of the best flower shops I've ever used. Beautiful flowers at great prices, and the staff is amazing. I have been there several times and have been blown away by the flower and plant arrangements these guys can make. . Best shop in Oakland.....Hands down.

Bought flowers for my wife's birthday and was helped by a friendly store owner whose personality was as brilliant as the bouquet I purchased. I did not know the store was there but I will be returning. Customer service these days has taken a turn for the worst but not in Flower Outlet & Gifts. Great experience!! At the eleventh hour, Saturday at 5:00 when ALL the other florists were closed, I found this florist just a 15-min drive who was open until 6:00! Bingo! I needed a gorgeous arrangement for a 90-year old woman's birthday that I had just found out about. I called, ordered the flowers, and then drove over to pick them up. They were GORGEOUS!! I was able to take them to her son's house where they were having a party and when I walked in, they were SO IMPRESSED with how beautiful they were. Great job!! Thank you so much for saving the day!! Highly recommend!!

Family owned establishment packed with a large variety of plants and flowers. Extra options on Sundays, during the Mt.Clair farmer's markets. There is also an option to order ahead and get delivery as well. The owner is very accommodating.

This was my first time in the Flower Outlet and Gifts in Montclair. It is a small shop filled with beautiful plants and flowers. I asked Cyrus if he was the owner, and he said he was for 17 years. He was busy with an assistant working hard on creating flower arrangements. I was busy taking pictures of all of the beauty surrounding me. There were wreaths hanging on the wall--both fresh and dried. Succulents were quite popular in his store--lots of small and medium sized ones. He had some large green house plants with large leaves--maybe elephant ears. There were hanging plants hanging up overhead. Some arrangements were full of color flowers with buds that will open in a few days.  Then over on the far counter, I saw the most beautiful heart shaped arrangement with daisies that were white, and different shades of pink. I needed to buy some flowers for a friend and not many flower shops are open anymore. There was several displays to choose from and I was happy with my selection.

My husband purchased a bouquet for $50+ here recently for me. When I looked at the bouquet, the hydrangea leaves and the green leaf filler had many dried out brown edges and brown spots, a couple of the mums were shedding petals, and a piece of stock was broken completely in half below the blossoms. I cut off the dead stuff, trimmed the stems, filled the vase with fresh water, and kept the bouquet out of direct sunlight. Three days later this bouquet is mostly dead (see photos). Very disappointed in the quality, and not even sure why the employee who made up the bouquet would even sell a customer flowers that were clearly past their prime. My husband didn't get a chance to view the final product as he had to feed his meter, and the flowers were all wrapped up when he came back. Guess they thought we wouldn't notice the condition of them til he got home. Note: did try to text or email the shop but they don't have either function set up. I would encourage people not to waste your money. Use Montclair Florist instead. Superb quality and very responsive, helpful customer service,

I only discovered this establishment because my regular flower shop is closed, but I plan to make this my go-to for flowers. Great staff, great service, and great product all for a great price. If there is ever a need for all this with great attitudes to match, I recommend this place to all interested parties. Thank you, Flower Outlet & Gifts. You made my day! And my wife's!

I have been coming here for a few weeks and Cyrus (shop owner) is very friendly and puts together beautiful bouquets. He put this one together in just a few mins and it looks amazing. Very friendly and a family guy. Will be coming back every few weeks.

Very disappointed. My wife's 82 year old mother ordered a beautiful basket of flowers that fell way short of the description she selected. Had my wife not sent her mother a picture of the delivery, we probably would never have known that we did not receive the $92 worth of flowers ordered. Instead of a 14 inch basket "brimming with blooming African Violet, azaleas, miniature rose" and other plants, an anemic 6 inch basket arrived with 3 plants. My wife called the shop who explained that what was ordered was what was delivered and offered no apology or amends. He was short bordering on rude. You be the judge: does the attached picture of the ordered plant look anything like the one delivered? Buyer beware...

Lovely flower/plant/gift shop! I found this place while l was looking for a flower shop to get my mum a little something for her birthday. Cyrus was super helpful in answering all my questions about the various plants in his shop and offered several different suggestions for things that would grow well where my folks live. I had an injured ankle and needed to do a couple of other things before picking up the plant I had decided on purchasing so he held it for me while I went up the hill. When it was time to rideshare back to the house Cyrus wrapped up the plant with a beautiful bow he created right in front of me and carried it to the rideshare for me so I could get my crutches and everything in without worry. Outstanding customer service and decent prices for this fancy neighborhood.

Beautiful orchids that have bloomed for over 6 months! The owner is a gem and very knowledgeable. Take a stroll down to the shop and enjoy the wonderful selection!

My sweetheart generously gets my flowers from here often. Cyrus, the shop owner, always puts together beautiful arrangements that are fresh and have a something extra feeling to them. My family sent me flowers for my birthday from Italy. After having problems in the past ten days with other places that they called around, finally, Flower outlet & Gifts created this amazing bouquet. Great quality and the delivery person was very courteous and took the extra effort to make sure I received the flowers! I found myself a new flower shop. I would definitely recommend it. Thank you.

I attempted to post a review on their website....I was prevented from. Posting a bad review. The flowers I ordered didn't look like the pic on the web. I called the business. The gentleman, term used loosely, was a jerk. I wouldn't give my business to this establishment again.

Great place to pop in a grab flowers or small house plants for any occasion. I went and asked them to make a custom bouquet for my upcoming anniversary and they were happy to do that on the spot. They picked a variety of flowers in different colors and arranged them so well. The staff was happy to answer all my questions, and even gave my little daughter a complimentary flower! Lots of selections and the flowers appear to be fresh! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice floral arrangement.

I love coming to this shop! Cyrus has the most unique flowers, colors I've never seen before! He whips up some beautiful arrangements, I can't go to the farmers market with out stopping by and taking a look to see what he has. I also come and get my eucalyptus bundles here!! (when in season)

My husband and I love coming to pick out flowers from Cyrus and his assistant. They have a wonderful selection full of colorful California natives that seem to last forever! Just got some gorgeous peonies, and always a fan of his Proteas. You can tell Cyrus runs his business with care and passion. Come see him!

My wife picks up flowers here every weekend and they always brighten up our house. It's such a pleasure stopping by when the farmers market is going on, browsing the flowers, and chatting with the owner. The people here are really nice, the variety is great, and the prices are reasonable. Five stars for being a delightful part of our weekend routine!

I received a beautiful arrangement from this shop for my birthday from my sister. She's generous so I know she spent good money on the arrangement. However, 1.5 days after I received the arrangement the hydrangeas were all wilted and dead. I reached out to the shop and let them know, as this is disappointing and unacceptable quality. I spoke with Cyrus, and explained the situation. He listened, and was apologetic, and said that he would send a replacement of the hydrangeas. He lived up to his word, and delivered the hydrangeas along with a few other additional flowers. His proper gesture, and making things right, changed my mind about this florist and I will definitely order with them myself in the future.

We buy flowers here several times a month. Cyrus always gives us amazing, personal service and his arrangements are beautiful. The few times there has been an issue he has been quick to remedy it with genuine care. He is also our go-to for any special occasion arrangements we need. We can always trust that he will have something perfect for the occasion, fresh and on time.

The man running the shop is the BEST! Super friendly, made me a lovey mother's day bouquet super fast the day before and did a lovely job wrapping it up. I was very pleased.

Cyrus is the best. He and his family have made gorgeous arrangements for me for all kinds of occasions over the years. His latest project was a beautiful floral crown for a photo shoot. He made something so beautiful on very short notice, and I am forever grateful. It's hard to find skilled floral arrangers, and this family's got it.

My sister ordered the most beautiful flowers for my birthday from this Place. The flowers were in great shape for at least one week and really cheered me up. Flower Outlet & Gifts in Montclair Village is my go-to florest for things small and large. From bouquets for my daughter after opening night of her high school shows, big birthday bouquets and insane orchids for my wife, and large floral arrangements for my sister's funeral. They are always beautiful, timely, a good value, and provided with the friendliest customer service that keeps me coming back. Much appreciation!

I buy flowers for my girlfriend every week or 10 days. I buy them from Cyrus. He delivers the flowers to Crogan's to surprise my girl and make every other woman in the restaurant hope that some day they can have flowers delivered to them, while having cocktails with the love of her life. Cyrus makes romance easy! Dudes, get a clue!

My partner ordered a bouquet of flowers from this company. The flowers were dead in under 2 days. The vast majority of the blooms were not yet opened when they were delivered, and they never opened, because they all died quickly. The arrangement was also thin in number/not very full. The vase with full with water, and I kept it on the kitchen table in indirect sunlight, so nothing on my end to contribute to their demise. I'm not sure what my partner paid for these flowers, but they were a disappointment. Obviously, I can't share that feedback with him, as it was the gesture that matters....but you really should take more care to provide flowers in better shape. Also, I did try to send this feedback to the company directly, however the contact form on their website is broken.

Cy is the nicest guy you will ever meet. His flower arrangements are beautiful and he knows how to spruce up any type of flower. He will do what you ask! Heis the only florist I will go to.

The flower seller wasn't available at the Sunday Farmer's Market so I went in here to get a few blooms. Granted I only had $5 but since this is supposed to be a Flower Outlet I thought I had a chance. First the salesperson kept shooing everyone outside because she was counting change. The doors were wide open but no one could come in. At last I was able to ask for $5 worth of statice. She didn't know what I was talking about so I pointed out the bucket to her. The stems she gave me were literally black. I should have just walked out but she didn't speak much English and I didn't know how to react. For $5 you can get a nice bouquet at the Farmer's Market or a few lovely stems anywhere else.

The flowers did not last long, when I went back, the gentleman told me that they had gotten too much sun. When I first bought them, the counterperson had little knowledge of the range of products, varieties. I suppose its possible the bouquet got too hot but never had that happen before. Anyway, agree with the other review, I will not go back.

Flower Outlet has outstanding, knowledgeable, and friendly customer service. The level of personal attention to detail and fast and reliable service is the best in the Montclair district as well as Piedmont and all areas of Oakland. The owner is always available and takes much pride in customer satisfaction. The freshness of their stock is readily appreciated when you first step into the open environment. They provide great service to small individual needs as well as larger events including weddings and funerals.

Fresh, beautiful flowers at a fair price, and great service. I have shopped here several times and continue to come here first for flowers.

I went here to get flowers after realizing the wonderful florist near Wells Fargo Bank closed down. I was in a pinch , and had an apartment to show. There wasn't a large selection but enough to do the job. The thing that really bothered me was they were out of greenery to add. That tells me they're not prioritizing the business. I won't go back.
