"There are plenty of Cajun culinary standouts at Floyd’s — from boudin and fried catfish to oyster po’ boys — but folks flock to the restaurant for its authentic, Louisiana-style seafood boils. Crawfish is $9.99 per pound, and a dozen hot boiled jumbo shrimp will set you back $14.95." - Megha McSwain

It was my first time. I ordered the shrimp platter. The shrimp and hush puppies were very small the plate looked empty. I wouldn't order it again. I was a little disappointed. The appetizer was amazing. The service was good. I took my mom and grandma and we had a good time. It was kind of quiet in there for a Cajun spot.

We came for Father’s Day & my daughter’s 21st birthday. It was a rainy day & we had to move tables bc there was a drip that was landing on my kids. We asked to be moved but after the food arrived, it happened again. Our waitress was very pleasant despite not having help on a busy evening. We tipped her well & went on our way. The decor was lacking for what the food cost. We would consider ordering delivery from here but not sure if we’d dine in again unless they make repairs to the building. It kind of put on our daughter in an awful mood so we did a do over dinner for her. Still, the food was excellent, I recommend the crab stuffed fish over the cornbread. It was one of the best dishes I’ve ever tried. All the food was delicious - but the entree I ordered was the best.

Excellent food, plenty of choices. Very flavorful and good spices, not over bearing. Service was adequate but not warm or friendly. Did not feel personal more as just a table. No time between appetizers and main courses.

Floyds Seafood - Sugar Land Tried the chicken fried chicken—crispy batter took center stage, while the chicken played a quieter role. The gravy? Easily the highlight, rich had the patty melt, a solid choice with decent taste. This is my opinion only not trying to discredit any establishment.

Visited for the first time today (02/03/2025) because my friend loves it here and we were having lunch. First, I want to compliment our server, Annika. She was fantastic! She had so many tables and was able to consistently visit with each one, no one waited for drink orders when they were seated, no one waited to order - just fantastic! Besides that, her personality was absolutely charming, she was so lovely to us and we really appreciated that! My friend ordered the boiled shrimp, her favourite. I tried one and they were good, large and cooked perfectly. They could have been seasoned more but she asked for dry seasoning to add and that was what they needed. The hushpuppies were a bit bland but good texture. I had crawfish etouffee and friend shrimp. The etouffee was very bland and too runny. I had to add seasoning to it to make it palatable. The rice was mush and not appetizing so I chose not to eat it. Luckily the rice is served in three half moons on the side of the etouffee so you can eat or not. The fried shrimp were very good. Seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Just a note, it seems if you want any sauce (other than the 5 varieties of hot sauce on the table), you must request it. I would not order the etouffee again but I would return and try other items. The place was nice and the atmosphere lively - overall I enjoyed myself. I would definitely bring friends and family here.

The food was mediocre. It is not seasoned very well, very plain. There are not many substitutions that you can do if you have a specific dietary need such as fish or pork. The only good thing about my experience was having a waitress named SHY. She was very patient, kind, and accommodating as best she could. She was just amazing. though, the manager pretended to come out to try to accommodate but I knew when I looked at her it was a no-go. Perhaps if I was a different color it would have worked. Bottom line I would never visit again, because the food was not to my liking.

Floyd's has always been a big hit. It has fresh fish, good boudin balls, and good service. The last time we attended the boudin balls were under cooked and gooey. The server was very nice and took them back and got the party fresh ones that were cooked well. The shrimp are always a family favorite. We will be back when it is convenient!
