Michael and Ryan were very helpful and knowledgeable. Such a fun vibe. Food truck style and all outside. As well as pitchers of beer and pong. Good n/a selection as well. Definitely recommend. We didn’t eat but the food looks yummy.

What a great vibe! Our cruise ship dropped us off and we struggled to find something that suited us…. And then we stumbled into the Biergarten. Awesome employees, awesome selection of beverages, amazing atmosphere, great music….. for us, this was the best part of our cruise!!

What a find on our port visit to Catalina Island. The guys are absolutely awesome. Very friendly. Great bar food and drink selection. Plus the vibe is perfect for the area. Rock n’ Roll from a variety of decades. Flx Biergarten is a must visit. Say Hey to Mike while you are there.

We are visiting from the valley, bathrooms are excellent and neat. The food is great/service was awesome! Michael is amazing he is fast and quick, and here if you need anything. They have fires and TVs it is a nice chill out area, and good food.

Great experience all around. Awesome service, Michael was really helpful and knows a lot about the beers and island. Excellent atmosphere. We had a party of 6 adults and 5 young kids, it was perfect for us to spread out, enjoy the brews with good food and let the kids play. Super clean area, well shaded, bonus points for the spotless bathrooms. We will go back on the next Catalina trip!

This is a cool outdoor plaza with a beer bar (in a converted trailer). They have a large selection of draft beers. There's also a beer pong table and cornhole. The restrooms are in a trailer in back.

This place is so fun!! Michael and Jack are so accommodating and friendly. Great ice cold beers on tap, cider and seltzers. Beer pong and Corn hole too. So fun!! Hot dogs, burgers, pretzels with beer cheese and snacks. Firepits, heat lamps, music, rocking Adirondack chairs, string market lights. Cool original 1952 catalina tour bus on the property. My daughter lost her sunglasses and thought she possibly left them here the other evening. Came back this afternoon while waiting for our 5 o'clock boat back to Orange County. They had her glasses and kept them safe!! A great time all around. On Metropole/Crescent.

The day before we went, they were handing out samples of their brisket, which got us hooked and we went for lunch the next day! I had the Beef Brisket Sandwich and it was amazing, it wasn't dry and plenty of meat. My boyfriend had the nachos and he was very happy with it. Drinks are ordered at a different tent/van. There are tables available to play beer pong but I believe you have to order a pitcher to be able to play. Plenty of tables to eat at and enjoy the beach at Catalina Island

We haven't been back in Avalon for a while, it's awesome that they have a cute little beer garden now! They serve good selections of beer, also limited cider, seltzer, kombucha and wines. I have tried an IPA flight which was so good, I usually choose hoppy pale ale and hazy. The service was friendly and atmosphere was relaxing but still fun!

This is an awesome spot to hang out on the main stretch in Avalon. We were a big group with a lot of bags looking for a place to chill until we could check in to our accommodations and this place delivered! Michael was an awesome host! Super friendly and welcoming he helped us store all our bags out of the way and even hooked us up with some discounts to the other establishments owned by their group. There's a lot of space with tons of seating. Perfect place to hang out on a beautiful day. Two beer pong tables were setup and ready to go when we got there, you do have to buy a pitcher of beer to play. There's also food here to, brisket and some other BBQ being offered. They had lots of different local and exotic craft brews to choose from. Loved the German wheat beer I had. Bathrooms are also clean, spacious, and fully functional with running water despite being in a trailer. If you're looking for a place to stop in and park your bags, or just looking for a fun outdoor grab a beer vibe, check it out!

Stopped in for a drink. Website shows that they serve wine but they don't anymore. Hubs had a beer and we all shared a really large pretzel. It was pretty good. Service was friendly, and it had several adult sized games and a few tv's with the football game on. Would love to come back for adult time in the evening for people watching and to sure hear the fire pit. It has a really chill vibe.

Terrible attitude and ownership. Served 1 person out of the party and then refused service to rest of the 10 person party Do not recommend, waste of time.

My wife and I had such a great time here! The vibe of the place is awesome, fun, laid-back, and welcoming. Mike was incredible. so nice, friendly, and really made us feel at home. We even got to play beer pong, which made the night even more fun. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to any time we go to Catalina!

Don't let the picture fool you, it's like 11am in late November. This place is awesome if you're ananything like me. I'm still an old school, beer pong, pitcher, beer flight, watching football guy. This spot does a great job of mixing the party with the laid back which is also the reason I love Catalina island. Most places are either desolate, or 100% full party. Look, you can obviously party hard here too...but my favorite part of the island is the laid back mix. This spot has more fire pits per capita than anywhere in the continental united states. Which, is an amazing thing, because ffire pits are natural dopamine enhancers, that just science. Also, they have a great beer selection, with a lot of local cali brews (shout out to pizza port) and they sell flights!! My favorite way to get buzzed and still let people know I'm classy. Bottom line, this place is right on the main strip, set up perfectly for chill partying, great appetizers (Louisiana hot links are my favorites) and just a great place on one of my favorite islands to relax. Mike the bartender was great! We are a group of four with a variety of preferences and everyone found a beer that they were happy with. The location is great, it's right in the midst of everything. The patio is spacious and dog friendly. They also have plenty of games that you can borrow to play. Solid spot!!

We had the best time last week at Flx. They stayed open late for our wedding party to party it up before our wedding. The beers were amazing, the space was big with tons of outdoor games, Michael was the nicest guy ever and the music was fire. We ended up here 3 nights in a row. I highly recommend.

Idk what it is about Avalon but every person we encountered was super friendly and Michael at FLX was one of the all stars. They allowed us in with our two year old and we ordered two beers on tap and a pretzel. It wasn't too busy on a Friday evening and we got a table right away. Though you can play beer pong, it was a chill vibe that day but perhaps it gets less toddler friendly later. Michael brought us an extra plate without asking, encouraged us to play and let the kid be a kid, and would check up on us. We all had a great time and wish there was a biergarten like this back in San Jose!

Flx was a perfect place to satisfy all our appetites. It's the best place because we like casual, fun, and reasonable prices. Other places on the island are expensive and too long a wait and too uppity. Michael made our whole group feel so welcome. It was my son's birthday and with the great Bingo game he hosted, we were able to give him a memorable birthday. I love the delicious food options, drink choices, and games. Kai and Jack know how to do it right!

Last time I visited Catalina, this space was being used to rent golf carts. It has since been turned into a cool outdoor seating area where you can enjoy the sun and the breeze, have a cold beer, watch the game, and people watch. That is exactly what we did. There was some Olympic swim events on the TV and we sat and hung out for a while to get on the Main Street. The beer selections were tasty and the service was friendly. The restrooms were for customers only which means they were clean! Prices were comparable to others along the main strip in Avalon. I hope it's still here whenever I can get around to returning to the island.

Although the atmosphere seemed good the service was unfortunatly the worst i received on the island. make sure you ask there policies before you order.

Jack was our bartender and the other guy (who's name we didn't get) working yesterday afternoon were both AMAZINGLY welcoming, courteous, helpful, and hospitable to not only us, but everyone we saw at this outside bar. The drinks we great, the activities available were wonderful, everything was clean and neat Don't miss this jewel if you live or are visiting Catalina Island I have a vacation home here and make it a point to visit Flx as often as I can. Great job guys!

Cool little spot for a Biergarten right in the heart of Catalina island. Didn't know it existed as it was the old spot for renting the golf cart around the island. Selections of beer seemed good. They did have a few items for food but didn't have any. There's plenty of seating as well as games. Service was great with the gentleman out front as well as the one behind the counter. Beer was quite nice. Helpful with choosing which one I wanted.

I'm not a beer drinker but the Firestone Cali Squeeze Blood Orange Hefeweizen was so good. I'll be craving it later! Great pretzel, too. The perfect spot to relax. There was plenty of seating in the back on a Friday afternoon with a shady spot for the pup. Service was fantastic!

If i could leave a 0 star review i would. Was standing in line waiting for a beer and was refused service due to one of my party members not tipping. Lost 10+ customers due to this situation. He also had the nerve to rush us as we were leaving this poor establishment

Terrible place. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Do not go to this place unless you want a $15 beer with bad attitude.

This place is a great place to hangout with large groups and have some great beer and food. I have been here twice and both times have been amazing great time. The BBQ was nice to have as well as the pretzel and hot dog options to go with all the beer. The Boot is well worth it. I even bought two to take home. The service is above and beyond. Every person was friendly and went out of their way to make our time there amazing. They also had a great beer pong, corn hole setup

Would never go here again. Guy serving was not friendly AT ALL and denied our party of 10 and served the people after us. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

My buddy and I love us a good brewskis so we decided to check out what Avalon has to offer. I got there as soon as they opened so, we were greeted as soon as we walked up to the gate and were allowed time to skim the menus to see what's offered. It's some solid options for a small town brewery that's on a small island. The Beer was solid and the people were chill when I walked up and ordered. The woman who topped off my drink was cool to me. I have no complaints with this place. I would return. They definitely aimed for a young and hip aesthetic and I feel like they nail it.

This place is a gem. Such a fun spot. We watched the Dodger game in the beautiful sunshine. We played cornhole and connect four, while enjoying our drinks and food. Service was A+++++.

Back at my favorite out door patio in Avalon. Right on the popular bay walk past all the boats on the bay. This is the walk most who visit the island travel. Lots of shops, eateries and bars. Vehs. ( Golf carts ) not allowed so popular . Flx is at the north end of this zone. For those looking for a place with the best selection of craft beers on the island, this is it. Lots of covered tables to relax under the sun of Avalon. ( 21 and up) "No kids running around here". Corn hole, ping pong, beer pong too. Great selection of music from the 80s streaming . Now they have food too. Wish the beers were a little more affordable ( 2 beers on tap from San Diego set me back $24 ) otherwise it's a must visit buisness when in Avalon.

We were here for the half marathon awards and stayed for the beer and live music. The various taps had something for everyone- seltzers, beer, kombucha. The band was rocking. We were pleasantly surprised with the appetizers as well. Will definitely be back.

A cute outdoor spot with games and plenty of seating. There's a QR code for the menu and you order at this nice trailer covered in art. The service is quick, and the servers are friendly. I didn't try tho food.

Service fast and pleasant. Prices surprisingly affordable for a tourist town. That said, brisket moist and flavorful, pulled pork same. Not sure where their bacon jam comes from but was very good with a nice balance of bacon fat richness and sweetness. The homemade potato salad and macaroni and cheese were both amazing. Overall rates favorably to good texas bbq, meat and sides. Fact it's at the beach rocks. They also have a great selection of good beer on tap. Outside only seating that's welcoming and clean. A must try from the abundance of fish and Mexican that seems to prevail in town. Salads also available. Better selection than normally found at eateries. Water feta for example. Prices $ to $ 1/2 depending on your dollar sensibility .

I had a great time at Fix, we were in town for the Avalon 50k trail race with a bunch of friends so this beer garden was the perfect spot for us to all hang out. They have a good selection of beers on tap, some wine, & snacks. They don't have a kitchen, but we were allowed to bring in food from other places near by. Coney Island West next door is a great spot with burgers and hot dogs. Fox has a lot of board games and cornhole to play. They have a few big screen TVs that we got to watch the last week of the NFL on. Heat lamps, and 2 glass fire pits in the front. Probably the perfect spot if you're in town with a large group and you all want to hang out together.

Love the way this place is set up. The beer selection is excellent and their pretzel with cheese is surprisingly delicious, you know, for a pretzel. There is a beer pong table and on weekends they have outside pop up food. We came here every day for the three days we were in Catalina. The guys running it are helpful and delightful.

A great spot to grab drinks and play outdoor games like corn hole. There is a lot of outdoor seating. You order drinks and food from a cute trailer. Service was friendly and quick. I only had beer but would like to go back to try their food.

Beer Pong is here! We didn't have anything planned for the remainder of our day in Catalina so when we walked by here, stopped cause there are two beer pong tables! We ordered a pitcher and got to play some beer pong which was fun. The rice lager is really refreshing and easy to drink. So easy that we got another pitcher of it to split between three people. The environment is super cute. Lots of umbrellas and spaces to sit. If you sit behind the beer pong table, just be aware that ping pong balls may be in your area. (So sorry, kind of, to the couple that was making out behind us. But also, take that elsewhere. Lots of "excuse me, ball is under your table, let me just grab that ) Bartenders were friendly and service was quick. They have two "fancier" portable toilets in the back. Would come back here for the vibes and beer!

The bingo on Sunday was a ton of fun! Good laughs awesome people & amazing drinks! The MC kept us entertained the entire time and the vibes were great

DO NOT COME HERE! Guy who appeared at the front after I walked in stopped my group of 15 from coming in. I walked in to find a table. A large group got up and gave me the table. As my other part of the group found chairs by the fire pit at the entrance. A man came and said the area was for PAYING CUSTOMERS. It doesn't say anywhere to wait for seating. Instead of telling the group that we needed to wait for seating. My group even told the guy we got a table. We were told by the guy at the front that our group should leave for no reason. We just left the Discanso Beach Club and spent over $1000 because we were a large group and to turn us away for whatever reasoning was NOT OKAY!! The guy was rude and I hope that this is not the kind of service that is tolerated.

Prices are a little high, but it's all about the ambiance, right? Cornhole, heat lamps, fire pits, beer, snacks... the only thing that would make this better is food delivery (though Coney dogs is really close and you could bring that in maybe? Would be legit good with beer). Wish they had a local brew or more IPA options (there were two), but pretty solid choices of about a dozen and you can get a boot or German stein of beer. I added a menu, but they said the menu didn't matter because they have other beers that weren't listed. Definitely check the taps instead.

Came here on a vacation and had a great time with some great beer and food. And the had bingo the night we came and the kids were able to play to. Good times

Legit chill spot to hangout. Lots shade on a hot day and one of the best micheladas you can get in the area. Bartenders were super cool and friendly. Overall a really great experience. Oh and the bathrooms were super clean.

Fix is located on the northern end of the boardwalk, so it's super easy to find. As its name implies it's a beer garden: beer and simple bar food. When I walked in, I instantly started smiling: there's an old retro bus, 2 fire pits, Adirondack chairs, corn hole and open space - big kid's play ground. Check out my pics for this outdoor venue. I was so tempted to try the Beer Pong Set, see my pic of what you get, I stayed with corn hole and had a great time.

Nice decor but it was off-season and the vibe was dead because there were very few people due to the colder weather. They did have various fire pits and heat lamps that were clean and appeared fairly new which was nice. Beer price is a bit more expensive as expected... $8 for Bud and $10-12 for most other options. It would be nice to have Catalina local brewing for the pricing to support local brewers (I don't think there are any on the island). My big disappointment was the beer selection... I tried 4 and they were all big misses... pretty important for a Biergarten.

Stayed in town for a couple of days and spent plenty of time getting to know the place. I can sincerely say that we received the best customer service in town. Great selection of beers and ciders.. clean place and very accessible. Stop by and get some beers you won't regret it..
