Best Cocktail Kits from Distilleries, Restaurants, and Liquor Stores in Minneapolis and St. Paul | Eater Twin Cities

"Packed with fresh grapefruit and lime juice, Q Grapefruit Soda, and a choice of rim salt, sugar, or Tajin, the Paloma Cocktail Kit yields six cocktails and can be bought through Flying Dutchman's online store with or without their Frontera Norte Blue Agave if you already have a bottle of tequila or mezcal. I appreciate that the distillery makes it easy to recreate a bar vibe at home, and you can also order from the distillery's food partner, Wandering Kitchen — try the boozy bundt cake ($25) spiked with Flying Dutchman Spice Rum." - Alicia Banaszewski

I got my first tattoo today with Kristina at Flying Dutchman Tattoo. Kristina was very prompt getting back to me.. like within 24 hours sge texted me and the next day i was in her chair! I reached out using the website they have with the link for a consultant or appointment. This was my first tattoo and I found the website to be very easy to use not intimidating at all, because i was reluctant to call and speak with them. Kristina was professional in every way. She let me send her pictures of the ideas I had and made my experience as relaxing as possible. I had ear buds in and watched a funny show and was actually able to laugh more than once. I can contribute that to the atmosphere and energy Kristina and the other working that day provided. I dont know if it was her but I expected more pain than I experienced im not saying i wasn't squirming! She was patient and I could definitely see myself going back or recommending her and the shop.

Had an amazing experience getting tattooed by Evan. Very professional and made me feel comfortable. Took my idea and brought it to life! One of the best experiences I’ve had getting tattooed! Will definitely be going back for my next tattoos with him.

I got a tattoo with the artist Jaiden at The Flying Dutchman, and I can honestly say he is incredibly talented. I’ve had some bad tattoo experiences in the past, so I was pretty nervous going in for a new piece. But after seeing Jaiden’s work on Instagram, I was confident to book an appointment with him. Words can’t fully express how happy I am with both my tattoo and the overall experience with Jaiden. Jaiden is incredibly professional and knowledgeable, and it’s clear he has a real passion for tattooing. From the moment I walked in to the shop, he made me feel comfortable and welcomed throughout the entire process. He really took the time to listen to my ideas and created a design that I absolutely love. His work is flawless, clean, precise, and full of detail. It’s obvious Jaiden cares deeply about his clients and his work. I’m beyond thrilled with my tattoo and will definitely be returning to the flying dutchman and making Jaiden my go-to artist for future pieces. If you’re like me and feel nervous about getting a tattoo, I highly recommend Jaiden at The Flying Dutchman. The shop is clean, the staff is friendly, and the experience was amazing. I can’t wait to book another appointment.

Google
Did a lot of research locally on a place to get my first tattoo. I heard a lot of good things about Flying Dutchman Tattoo having a good reputation in the area. I've been thinking about the tattoo idea I had in mind for a long time and decided on a Lord of the Rings Gimli tattoo that I drew a draft of. Originally, I had booked with Dre, but, she referred me to Evan who was more knowledgeable on the subject of LOTR and Warhammer stuff. It came out REALLY good. Evan was really receptive to my ideas while contributing his own and generally stuck with the original idea I had in mind while making improvements on it. I had my 1st session today after my initial consultation about a month ago (due to my schedule). As for the experience of getting a tattoo, I definitely winced quite a lot but I made it through the other end with an tattoo I'm really proud to have. Can't wait to finish it with the pattern next month. :)

Google
Ok first off made an appointment with cigno. She messaged back very fast and booked as soon as possible. Second the place is amazingly cool. Best shop ive been too. She took me right away , made adjustments she thought would be better and it came out soooo good. Im very happy. Then after she took care of my healing process and explained the after care she took my wife in for her tattoo also. So awsome. I now have a new place to go to permanently. On a side note the other people there including the owner was very very very nice. Made us feel like friends immediately. Some places are very sketchy , make you feel uncomfortable and make it seem you dont know jack. But not here. I left making new friends.

Google
As a business owner and neighbor of Flying Dutchman I have come to know the owners Evan and Dre. Genuinely adorable couple and very creative and their customer service is amazing. I brought my Grandson in to get a matching tattoo with me. Evan was so so patient and was able to endure my nervous chatting and my grandson Gabe’s changing vision. Artistic , Creative and state of the art software gave us pieces that we love more than we can express. Reign Salon recommends Flying Dutchman 100%!

Google
I got a walk in tattoo yesterday (not normally allowed) and I’ve never been in such an inviting tattoo shop. They’re all so nice and welcoming. I got a tattoo from Dre and she is SO sweet. She made sure my tattoo was perfect and you can tell she genuinely cares about giving you something you love. She made sure there was not a single little germ on my skin before doing the tattoo, the shop is so nice and sanitary. She also does such sharp line work and made sure it was as bold as possible. I’m 100% going back and I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to get a tattoo.

Google
Beware they just throw out whatever number they want at the end of your tattoo. Maybe 400, but maybe 600. Work is just okay. Touch ups cost

Yelp
Had an amazing experience getting tattooed by Evan. Very professional and made me feel comfortable. Took my idea and brought it to life! One of the best experiences I've had getting tattooed!

Yelp
This place is amazing. The decor/aesthetic here totally suits my vibe - dark/chill but the staff there couldn't be more welcoming and friendly: this dichotomy really makes someone like me feel comfortable to be around. On top of that, they have, on multiple occasions donated their time and energy to work with local animal groups, which again, I very much admire. When I have need, I plan on only going to Flying Dutchman and have Evan work his black magic.

Anna C.

Yelp
Amazing!! I got did my first tattoo here and everyone was so welcoming, answered all questions, and were so nice! Dre did my tattoo and she was so kind and explained everything so well. It's clean and nice and appointment only so it's not overly crowded.

Yelp
I was seeking some tribal work for an arm sleeve. I liked Evan's portfolio and he has experience with Celtic knot work. I hired him for the project and we had three sessions to complete the work. Dre and Evan run this shop. Their competence, warmth and investment in your satisfaction approach is apparent in every conversation and engagement. There are multiple artists and they will pair you with the best skill set to match your goals. Their shop is clean and unique with artwork from local artisans to look at while you get your work completed. I recommend them without reservation.

Yelp
I received a tattoo on my ankle. Very pleased how it turned out. Excellent staff very friendly and establishment very clean.

Christopher V.

Yelp
Got a tattoo for the first time in twentysomething years here and was more than a little nervous about it. Evan took what I asked for and nailed it - can't ask for more than that. Will definitely refer folks and be back for whatever is next!

Yelp
Just wanted to update my last review with pics because I love my tattoos so much. I went back several times in the past 6 months. All done by Lina.

Yelp
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY TATTOO!!!!!!!!!! Best place to get your tattoo is HERE!!! Evan did exactly what I wanted. The coloring is perfect!!!!!

Yelp
I would so recommend this place for your next/first tattoo Evan, Dre, and Victor are all very welcoming, very talented , and very helpful artists! I have been tattooed by all three of them. Victor doing my first ever tattoo, and Evan and Dre doing a collab on my third. I wouldn't go anywhere else they make you feel like family

Yelp
I have been to the Flying Dutchman for 3 of tattoos. All of which I love. If you are considering a tattoo from them, I am telling you, you won't regret it. This specific review is for the Flying Dutchman but specifically for Evan. I happened to stumble across Evan's Instagram page and realized he was at the Flying Dutchman. I had a tattoo idea but an idea was all it was. I messaged Evan with a long description and a very poorly drawn idea of what I wanted. We set up an appointment and when I showed up he had a rough draft ready for me. This is where I want to personally thank Evan. He took the time to sit with me and adjust every single minor detail I was unsure about or questioned. On top of all of that, what I was asking him for was not his style what so ever and way below his skill level. So he could have easily blown me off. But he was more than happy to help me. On top of that I was being annoying and indecisive. But he remained patient and so very helpful. Evan took my idea and brought it to life. I am in love with it. Thank you so much Evan. I cannot thank you enough. As a side note my tattoo is very simple, that's how I wanted it, but to put it all together was a complex process. He's capable of beautiful things, as simple yet complex as mine and as big and detailed as you probably want your tattoo to be. Make an appointment, you will be so happy you did.

Yelp
Went back to the Flying Dutchman after seeing the work of the new owner Evan Naylor. After getting our tattoos today, I know I've found my new shop. Evan is AMAZING!!! Everything you want in an artist! Professional, prepared and super talented! He's got a light touch, a steady hand and his pigments are bright and vibrant! Great prices and still the cleanest shop around! If you're serious about your tattoos go check out the Flying Dutchman!!

Yelp
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this studio. Everyone there is helpful, funny, happy and willing to chop it up with you while you are waiting to get your work done. The pirate theme is fantastic and the voice mail when you call is genius!! I get my work done by Tom there, and I absolutely LOVE his work. He has always been good to me and done an amazing job. My most recent piece was for my cousin that was killed overseas in Afghanistan so needless to say, the tattoo is very important to me. Tom is the only artist I would trust with such an important piece. The outline is done, and the color is going to be done within the next week. I LOVE THIS SHOP!!! :) Thanks to everyone @ Flying Dutchman!

Jessica A.

Yelp
Owners were amazing! Tattoo came out just as I wanted! My experience was amazing. I highly recommend this studio.

Yelp
Jesse Cotton is the most amazing tattoo artist ever! He realized my vision and created something fantastic to cover an old tattoo I was not happy with at all! He was patient and let me take breaks through the process. The shop is extremely clean, sterile and meets the need of the client. Music changes up frequently. The artists are in tune with what the client wants and needs.

Yelp
I was referred to this studio from my sister who has gotten several tattoo's here, specifically the Artist Tom. So I have seen his work and knew that you have to book in advanced. The days following my dogs passing I immediately called the studio for Tom and left a message (they were closed). The next day Tom called and I explained to him that I was coming up to visit my sister and I want to get my dogs name and paw print tattoo'd on my foot (my dog used to stand on my feet)...he said no problem. Email me some samples! I did and he immediately me back and said he had some ideas....and he did...they were PERFECT! Yes it was a little painful...but I'm a whimp! Tom was clean, thorough and fast! Thanks Tom!

Yelp
Glad Tom Fury left. Did my first tattoo which I ended up liking but it wasn't EXACTLY what I asked for. He obviously had one technique of style (which I didn't mind) since it was my first ever tattoo (I didn't know better). Still... wasnt as as detailed as I wanted/ asked for (VERY TRADITIONAL). My MOST UPSETTING ISSUE is when I tired to go back him for future tattoos & he literary TALKED ME OUT OF IT & basically said what I was asking for, he couldn't perform. That made me look at him as a tattoo artist in a diff. way. He said he would call me back to see how it would work & NEVER did. What an asshole. Glad I found a new tattoo artist. I thought he was a dope ass artist at first but then turned into a DEF NO!!!! Fuck that guy. I will not even go to his new, independent shop. He's an artist who is limited to his likings/art that HE is comfortable performing & it shows. Definitely not creative or innovative. Hate artists like this. Positive note; good price for your worth. You get what you pay for.

Yelp
Shitty establishment with very poor customer clientele skills. You texted me at 11:30 am for a cancellation at 3:00 pm. I promptly confirmed and arrived early at 250 pm. Told u it was a surprise gift for my 19 year old son-his first tattoo. You guys ruined the whole experience. Your attitude showed it from the moment we stepped foot into your forsaken shop. You clearly messed up on your end thinking it was for 4pm. Your whole shops vibe is wack! Your entire staff from artist to reception need etiquette class. By simply asking how much longer when it was almost pushing 3:30 pm ..your low class artist tells my daughter and son if you can't be patient then bounce?! Really? Boy please. Check & mind your manners. All I can say is Thank you God! You did us a favor. I would've regretted having my son get his first tattoo here. Like a satanic cult here.. must've been an issue cuz we didn't fit the "picture" of their preferred clientele. I will definitely share my experience with everyone I know and work with to NEVER come here. Peace & Love cuz we don't do Satanic cults here. Fix your raggedy attitude! Not my problem you guys don't seem to get any business...

Yelp
Had a great experience with the shop and Greg. My wife and I stayed in the area from out of state and wanted a commemorative matching tattoo for our trip. As late night walk-ins, he stayed late, and we worked together to come up with a great design, did us both right then and there. On top of that the shop's owners went out and brought us back something to drink on their dime. We have a lot of tattoo experience, and been all over the country, these people are aces!!! Thanks again Greg!!!

Yelp
Thank you to Jesse for making my tattoo experience a good one! The customer service, the ambiance, as well as the good conversation made my experience quick and painless. Thanks again man! I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
I'm looking for a tattoo shop to do a couple of forearm pieces and figured I would go locally. My wife and I stopped by here today since she's also looking to get a small piece done as well. We walked in and the only artist in the shop was working on another customer's tattoo. My wife and I weren't greeted and it appeared the artist didn't notice us walk in. No problem, I figured he's focused on his current customer and I feel like I would want an artist's undivided attention while they're working on my tattoo. My wife and I browse the sample books and when we finished we sat down to wait until I hear the needle stop so I could let him know we were there. Less than a minute after we sat down, two young ladies walked in and the artist immediately greeted them and chatted with them a bit before asking them to wait. A little miffed that my wife and I weren't greeted similarly, I stood up so he could see that we were there as well and yet we still weren't greeted, not even a hello. Needless to say, my wife and I left, went to another shop one town over and the experience was a complete 180 degree shift. We were greeted instantly and the artist took the time to discuss the pieces I wanted to get done. I'm all for shopping locally but when a local business blatantly ignores potential customers I have no hesitation taking my money and business elsewhere.

Yelp
I have had several tattoos done at The Flying Dutchmann. Every one as awesome as the last. My tattoo artist is excellent. Jesse Cotton Taylor. He makes beauty on my skin.

Eileen B.

Yelp
I was referred to Jesse by a friend. I had a tattoo done previously by another artist that I was not happy with at all. The tattoo was a tribute to my deceased son. I explained to Jesse why I didn't like it and what I envisioned it could be. Jesse not only created my vision...he surpassed it. I love it. I knew I was in good hands when he assured me that a lot of love would go into his creation. I highly recommend Jesse's art and the fact that he chatted with me like an old friend the entire time made my experience even better. Thank you, Jesse!!

Alma S.

Yelp
I went to get a tattoo with my friend without an appointment and we only waited for 25 minutes. I loved my tattoo and the people working there were incredibly nice. I believe it was kat who did my tattoo and it turned out beautifully. Well to me I really like it and delivered exactly what I wanted. I definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
I LOVE this studio! I've gotten pieces done by Jesse and Ricky and they were both wonderful. Jesse free hand drew my first color tattoo, and it looks amazing! He made sure I liked his sketch before he started. I showed him a few pictures of sunflower tattoos that I liked so he knew sort of what to work with, and he added personal touches so that it would be a unique, one-of-a-kind tattoo. It was a really awesome experience. The first tattoo I got done there was by Ricky. He did a memorial piece for my mom. I got her handwriting on the back of my right shoulder, and he did such a good job. He helped me with the placement, saying getting it on my back would symbolize my parents always having my back (I have one for my dad that I got elsewhere). He was really sweet about the whole situation, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I'm so glad I came to Flying Dutchman! I've heard nothing but good things about this place, and it's all true!

Varsha N.

Yelp
I had the best time here getting my first tattoo! Cigno worked on me and she was so nice and considerate of the fact that it was my first time getting a tattoo. The owner of the store is also SUPER cool and nice. Overall it was a really awesome environment to be in and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get a tattoo.

Adriana T.

Yelp
I came into Flying Dutchman as a walk in and the staff was really welcoming and friendly. Jesse is one of the newer tattoo artists and I liked how he approached me and was willing to tattoo me even though I didn't have an appointment. Really friendly person and I absolutely loved his work, it speaks for itself. If you're looking to get a tattoo I would recommend Jesse ! Since he's newer I really think he deserves more credit for the quality of his work. Thank you for your beautiful art work.

Yelp
Two words JESSE COTTON. My boyfriend Michael and I had a wonderful experience here at the Flying Dutchman! Jesse's Work is absolutely amazing and my boyfriend left more than happy with his piece that was tattooed, as a matter of fact he was speechless! Jesse had great service he was fast but his work was on point and he had such an awesome personality, he kept us laughing the whole time and made us really comfortable, his line work is extremely clean. I would recommend this shop a billion more times! Thanks Again JESSE !!

Yelp
New artist - Natasha is theeeeee best. ( you can see further reviews on her from her work at Final Sin in Pleasant Hill, if you're looking for an awesome artist ) The shop is SUPER clean, friendly staff and did I mention what an amazing artist Natasha was !
google avatar

Yelp
Jesse Cotton was so patient and answered all of my questions. And after some collaboration the design turned out beautiful. Just perfect!

Yelp
Love Natasha she is beyond AMAZING!!! Check her myspace out http://www.myspace.com/catspawtattoos I had her do a tattoo of a dock at my grandparents house. Let me just tell you it was like 1 million times better then i ever imagined it could be. I will never get a tattoo done by anyone else!

Yelp
Great experience at this shop. I had a very specific idea in my head about what I wanted done and GREG really listened to me and acknowledged everything I wanted. When I showed up for my appointment not only did he have the transfer paper done, he also drew it up and painted it for me to keep. How insanely cool is that? He was very patient with me through out the session and even put up with my chatty boyfriend. The tattoo came out beautifully and I could not be happier with not only the art work but my experience at the shop. Great job Flying Dutchman!! I shall return!
google avatar

Yasmin K.

Yelp
Awesome shop and the new location is bad ass! Randy does pretty amazing work, and everyone is very friendly and very professional. I will most likely be getting all my work done here from now on!

Yelp
This is my second tattoo here at flying Dutchman and both times I've been very satisfied with the work done. This time my tattoo was done by Chris I told him what I wanted done and he went and drew it out for me and I LOVED IT!!!! He was hella cool nice and super clean I will definitely come back to see Chris soon for some more work!
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely amazing shop! Jesse Cotton is an outstanding artist and did some really sick small tattoos on my pinky fingers. Thank you so much, and I'll FORSURE be back for more
google avatar

Adrianna K.

Yelp
Did a walk in .. right off the bat I was greeted with smiles and friendly attitudes ! One of the artists called for another and asked if she would make time to squeeze my last minute tattoo in and she graciously accepted . I was able to sit and explain to her what my vision was - and she nailed it she took time to talk with me and get to know me as a client , forming a " friendship " type relationship which drew me in to coming back ! Kat was able to explain in detail how to care for my new work , as well as suggest a few brands of creams etc that would help heal and preserve my tattoo ! Great experience with flying Dutchman !!! I cannot wait to get larger work done there . Ten thumbs up !!
google avatar

Savannah M.

Yelp
WORST PIERCING EXPERIENCE EVER. I can't speak for the shop as a whole, but DO NOT go to 'Cheyne' to have any piercings done, or even something as BASIC as a jewelry change. You'll know him by his Twilight-themed tattoo sleeves (which, in retrospect, had I noticed BEFORE he touched me- I would've never let him touch me to begin with. Twilight fans are morons.) That's all I went in to do, change jewelry. I was in downtown Antioch and popped into their store on a whim to check out their selection. Saw some seamless rings I liked. They didn't have my size, so they special ordered them for me, said they'd be in by the end of the week. A week goes by, no call. I call in and they say it'll be another week before my lip rings are in. I would've just said 'forget it' and gone to GenRock but I'd already thrown money down on the order. Not necessarily their fault, mail could've been slow- but it absolutely didn't help the allover shitty experience I had with them. They never called me like they said they would, so I stopped into the store after almost 3 weeks of waiting for my jewelry. They say Yes, in fact the order did come in. I'm referred to their piercer 'Cheyne' who takes me to the back area where we'll be swapping my current 16 gauge studs out for what was SUPPOSED TO BE two seamless 16 gauge rings. He removes the studs, then proceeds to effortlessly insert two seamless 16 gauge rings. He tells me once they're in, that the diameter is too wide- then removes the rings again, says "Hold on a moment- we're going to try something." Then WITHOUT ASKING MY PERMISSION- proceeds to force two -14 gauge- rings through my -16 gauge- holes. It hurt like a BITCH. Then he pinched them closed with pliers and left it at that. I ask why it hurt so bad the second time he inserted the jewelry, he gave me some bullshit answer about how they were still healing. THESE WERE YEAR-OLD -HEALED- PIERCINGS, PEOPLE. This guy was a moron, and a bad liar to boot. I asked him why the jewelry looked so big... were these a 14 gauge? He said Yes, that's what you were pierced at! And I fervently said NO, in fact- I KNOW I was pierced at a 16 gauge. This was NOT my first jewelry change, and all my other jewelry was 16 gauge. He says "No, you weren't a 16- they look great." At this point I just said whatever, what's done is done and I'm not going to irritate my piercings more by changing the jewelry again that same day. They were quite swollen for about a week afterward, and looked like they were possibly scarring. I left the jewelry in in fear that if I removed them, my newly healing STRETCHED holes would close up and be ruined by scar tissue. Time goes by, and I have to remove my jewelry for work, so I decide to pick up a retainer. I go straight to Generation Rock in Concord because I know and trust their piercer, Brandonious. He notes that my lip looks very irritated, and starts to bleed when he removes one of the rings. I tell him my horror story of 'Cheyne' at The Flying Dutchman, and he says- "What a douche- not only were those the wrong gauge, they weren't actually seamless rings. All he did was pop out the beads from 2 CBRs and then forced them through your holes, pinched them shut, and didn't even close them properly. The seam shifted down into your lip and swelled up, then healed... HE LEFT THE JEWELRY WITH A GAP IN IT, WHICH CAUSED YOUR PIERCING TO CLOSE UP AND HEAL INSIDE." The asshole WRECKED my piercings. I had to remove the jewelry completely, and the only option now is to let them heal and re-pierce at a later date- COSTING ME MONEY AND WASTING MY TIME. Thanks a LOT 'Cheyne', you DOUCHEBAG.

Yelp
I have several tattoos from different artists, I like to go and check them out and show off their work kind of like a walking billboard. I wasn't planning on getting a tattoo when I went into this place with my friend and he got a tattoo and he got me one for my birthday I wanted my granddaughters name tattooed on my chest and so that's what I got and it is beautiful! everybody there is very polite, friendly and they know their stuff, very beautiful detailed artwork and what I love is there's no flash on the walls! you have to look into the books for each artist so you can see the unique style each one has, no pattern followers.l plan on going in there today and getting some color put into my tattoo and I would recommend them to anyone wanting great work done. I give them 5 stars

Yelp
So I came here around November 2012 and got my first tattoo, i was originally going to go to a different shop but they wanted a silly $50 deposit. So i called and asked if they did walk-in appt. and if i could get a quick tattoo, and i was surprise they let me.. and they were about to close to. So i wanted in there and i got a simple two words on my wrists ("stay strong" ) and the guy that did the tattoo, did amazing! for my first tattoo, im still in love with it!!! His name is Chris and i have had two more tattoos later down the road and Chris has done them all! and he will continue to do my tattoos till he either retires or just doesnt want to tattoo anymore. everyone in their is super talented and does amazing work. i would recommend it to anyone that wants a tattoo!! this place is great!

Yelp
I had an amazing experience getting my tattoo done. Tom was amazing, was very friendly and chatted with me the whole time he was doing the tattoo. The Koi turned out amazing. I will be going back to have Tom finish up my idea for the sleeve and I will come back anytime I need ink done. The atmosphere was very chill and the place was very clean. All of the other artists were friendly and polite, even the guy at the front was cool.. 5 Stars for the DUTCHMAN!

Yelp
I have 2 tattoos that were done by Natasha, my fiancee has too many to count done by her. (I think she's still in Natasha's book. The girl with the butterflies down her back.) We both have had nothing but wonderful experiences with both Natasha and the Flying Dutchman. Natasha really gets me, and gets what I want done. The first time I saw her I explained what I wanted and she was brutally honest and told me the placement I was thinking wouldn't work because of how my body moves. She understands the connection between the body and the art. What she drew up was PERFECT!!! It was exactly how I wanted, I didn't need anything tweaked. When it was done it healed nicely and still looks beautiful two years later. The next tattoo she did for me was just as perfect as the first. She's already got my next tattoo drawn up and I cannot wait to get it done.

I came here for my very first tattoo and had an amazing experience. Everyone at the shop was nice and friendly and really ensured that I felt comfortable with the whole experience. Tom explained the aftercare instructions well and I am beyond excited about my new artwork

Yelp
I'd give this place a 2.5 or so. I came here to get my belly button pierced. I was actually supposed to get it done with a friend of mine but she couldn't get it done because she didn't have a valid license. What's interesting is that she called them to ask if it would be okay if she used her permit instead and the person who helped her said 'yes.' She was also told that the whole piercing job would cost $24. This seemed like a good deal to me which was why I decided to get one too. BUT everything cost about $50+...was not happy to find that out after feeling like it was too late to back out of the piercing. The people who work there are nice enough. The guy who did my piercing seemed very chill and friendly and I liked him but he was not as professional about informing me about how to take care of my piercing as Cold Steel America (on Haight) was. He wasn't as comforting about it either. He simply did his job and told me basic things. I don't think I would go back to this place.

Yelp
Got my first ever tattoo done by TOM recently after seeing his work and I just want to say that he is amazing! He found a great picture of what I wanted, we talked over everything, and the end product was 10x what I asked for or even expected! He was very courteous and clean, and I appreciated how genuine he is about his work and tattooing in general. He is definitely talented!! Everyone at the shop was extremely helpful and really nice. No doubt in my mind I will be coming back :)

Yelp
Got my last name tattooed, simple enough. Ricky managed to f that up with crooked lines and lines not completely filled in. He sucks. Thanks to thinking local and the life lesson learned and extra hundreds to get it fixed.

Yelp
Best shop in any of the towns around here. I've gotten every single tattoo i have except for my very first one here. Super clean, everything is sterilized, each artist has their own station. And the chemistry in the shop is awesome, its like they are all family. Being a regular here is quite an experience, from getting work done and hanging out between outlines, shading and color, you can really feel that the guys in the shop work independently on their pieces, but bond together as a unit. Everyone is a very well rounded artist, and can take your design and turn it into a wonderful piece of art that you can display proudly on your skin for the rest of your life. I've only been tattooed by Tom, Ricky and Tasha with Ricky doing a majority of my work. I've gone to Ricky for my comic book inspired tattoos and he has totally nailed each one, its like I have a panel right out of the comics tattooed on my leg. awesome work. He also did some flash on my leg and back, an anchor and a hourglass respectively. Tasha did my Mad Hatter shoulder piece and that was my second tattoo back when the shop was in their other downtown Antioch location. It came out way more amazing than i ever could have thought it would. and she stayed after closing to finish it in one sitting. Tom did a family symbol my family and I made up, I think the set up took longer than the actual tattoo did, and it came out awesome. If you have an idea and some pictures, If I were you I would make this my first stop if you live in antioch/oakley/brentwood. Hell its even worth it to travel from out further to check out the amazing artists in this shop. I can't figure out how to post pictures, new to yelp, but if someone can tell me how I can post pictures of my tattoos that i have gotten from this amazing shop.
