I went there for the first time today because I planned on making crab cakes for dinner. Store was clean, well lit, products layed out and displayed nicely. Had everything I needed. Helpful friendly workers. I will be back.

Pleasantly suprised by this place! I was able to call and get a dozen crabs cooked in 15 minutes. They texted when it was ready and it was an easy pickup! It’s winter so the crabs weren’t heavy but they were VERY FRESH and seasoned well. I will definitely go back

I was so excited riding past this fish market to see that they were named Flying Fish. The very next day, I contacted the establishment to ask if they really carried flying fish, to which they replied, yes. Went to the establishment, purchased the fish, only to learn that it is not real flying fish, imported from Barbados. The fish they sell is flying gurnards, which don't fly or even look like real flying fish, in comparison. Not to mention, while the fish is edible, the fins contain a mild poison. I threw them away. Would not recommend for anything other than your standard seafood.

They are always friendly. And oysters are always fresh. I will never go anywhere else.

I can speak from experience; I love this place Not only Do they have seafood but they also can make your food for you if you buy like some shrimps and they cook them there, they would definitely do it for you and fries. Very nice establishment. Very nice people and I’ll definitely be going back there tomorrow.🫶🏽

Yelp
Can a guy get a piece of bread for $52 dollars worth of take out? The answer is no. I ordered the $24.99 Pasta Combo which is loaded with mussels, decent amount of clams, handful of scallops, and a few globs of crabmeat layered over run of the mill linguini. You get an absolute ton of Mussels btw. I got it over garlic sauce and think the smarter move would have been Marinara as the garlic sauce was well lacking garlic flavor to be honest. Calamari Salad - this looks like an absolute beaut. I have not eaten it yet but has delicious looking rings of calamari and a couple of tentacle pieces which I love as well. The reason I started with my review with a reference to a piece of bread is I put in the instructions section when delievering to please include a piece of bread. For $38 dollars worth of take out and upcharges and tip totalling $52 I cannot give more then three stars. This is a one and done restaurant for me. But I am looking on the bright side and happy I will have a leftover Calamari Salad for Dinner.

Yelp
My first time trying this place today and the food was horrible! It had absolutely no seasoning at all it's like the literally cleaned the salmon cut it and put it in the oven. The broccoli was under cooked and the potatoes were ok. I will never order from here again

Yelp
The lobster ravioli ($20) came with the top plastic lid melted INTO the food! When I called & sent pictures and a video to the number she provided, she blamed the delivery driver. No refund or replacement. Hazard!

Yelp
LOVE this place!!! I'm from Baltimore (I know, but had to say it lol) and this place has exceeded all my neighborhood seafood place dreams!! My dad was visiting so of course I had to take him here and he was also impressed- we got shrimp and they were delicious. Great seafood for a fair price and very friendly staff. I love this place and go here often :) highly recommend!!

Yelp
I was living in the area over 3 years and never decided to step foot in this place only because there weren't much photos to look at and not a lot of reviews on yelp . So my boyfriend's friend was talking about this place all the time and he made it sound so good, that we should give it a try . So being seafood lovers we decided to give it a try despite my craving for some crab claws specificly stone crab claws . So we went taking his words for it , its not a very big place . As we were looking around (I was mainly looking for crab claws) and they got some. I asked them how much it was for a lb and they took about a minute or two to tell me the price . When they finally told me the price it was $9.99 per lb uncooked and $12.99 per lb. cooked . So I said okay didnt mind the price because it were dungeness claws . I decided to get 2 lbs uncooked because I won't finished a whole 4 lbs bag that were already bagged and plus I were putting them on the grill . So they got me a different bag that was already bagged up at 2 lbs didn't look like much was in there, also looked like something was wrong with picture but I still purchased it anyway because I just got home from work and was tired and didn't want to argue. So we ended up getting crab claws and a lb of seafood salad (as pictured). Got home tasted the seafood salad and knew something wasn't right about the taste . It also had a funny smell but I thought it was just how it made . It didn't taste like a typical seafood salad that I had bought from other places . So I set it aside while I was getting the grill ready for the claws , I took them out bag and oh man , they were some small claws not worth the money at all and besides that after cooking and eating it , it didn't taste like fresh seafood it tasted like it's been sitting in the freezer for days and seem as if it was stuff they couldn't get rid off and sell it to you . You can't tell because the meat are inside . I should of took a picture of it . So deciding to go for the 2nd and 3rd bite from the seafood salad you could tell it was SPOILED!!! Lucky I didn't get sick from eating it and was too tired to go back and complain. Never again would I come back to this place . I felt like I got ripped off and wasted my money . For all that I could off went somewhere else . Such a disappointment! If you want good quality and fresh seafood go to On and Sons up in North Philly . It's worth the drive or stop in if you're in the area looking for good seafood . This place ain't got nothing on them .

Yelp
I like flying fish. I come here from Overbrook to buy live crabs. I'm never disappointed by the quality of the crabs that I get here. They are always a good quality. They staff is helpful and friendly.

Yelp
I have been a customer of Flying Fish Seafood for quite some time. Their selection of fresh fish and their prices are both good. The place is immaculately clean, and there is usually someone mopping inside the store or hosing down the sidewalk outside of the store. The husband and wife who run the store could not be any more friendly and helpful. My Christmas Eve order this year was $200. Every guest raved about the freshness of the fish and how good everything tasted. Cleanup, after cooking, was a breeze and my house did not have any lingering fish odors because fresh fish does not smell. I love having such a great seafood market so close to my home.

Yelp
This place was pretty good. Big bonus is they do deliver and were helpful with it being my first time ordering. It helps to go online and view the menu and specials for the day. I enjoyed my tilapia platter and boyfriend loved his crab legs I almost had to fight him for. The garlic butter and old bay on them were good. You do pay more to have them cooked so would recommend cooking yourself if not starving.

Yelp
Was not expecting this place to be as good as it is. The food we got was fresh and cooked on the premises as we waited. The salmon was cooked to medium rare and was served with a teriyaki glaze; it was sweet but not too sweet. The striped bass had great texture and the flavors mixed well with baked sweet potato. The portions were incredibly generous and the fried shrimp was crispy and tender. Overall, we tried this place on a whim and were incredibly surprised at the quality. It is definitely a local neighborhood gem.

Yelp
Food was disgusting. I came in and made an order and they forgot to put an entire platter in my bag. When I called, they acted as if it was my mistake. I had to come all the way back across town to come pick up food that I paid for. Then when we finally sat down to eat, everything was disgusting. The fried fish and shrimp platters were extremely breaded and had no taste. The crab cakes were filled with imitation crab meat and not how they described. I would never recommend this place nor will I ever be back.

Yelp
Yep, this place is the real deal. It's not fancy but you can get some amazing fresh seafood from here. The prices are not too bad and the service is fast. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for fresh and cooked seafood. Top notch

Yelp
This place has great fried fish and crabs. I walked from the Holiday Inn Stadium. Can't wait to come again.
