Historic site. Very busy. Great spot for kids. Pick up a copy of the Vineyard Gazette near the checkout counter and complete the Treasure Hunt.

We have 15 mins left to catch the ferry and we consulted the clerk that based on the line, whether we can make it or not. She said yes. We bought 3 tickets and waited in the line. We didn’t make it to the next round. We had to leave at that point and the staff refused to return our money. There are people coming and it’s easy to sell those 3 tickets but the staff decided no, let’s make these people anxious and leave with a bad mood. I can tell the staff definitely doesn’t care about this business as any business owner wouldn’t refuse to do a small favor and ruin customers experience in a top touristic place like this.

Had to do it. It's a thing here at OB. $5.00 a ride though. Pretty steep. Horses do not go up and down. I didn't get the hype but it's done and we can move on

I visited Flying Horses many times during my childhood and look back on those experiences with fond memories. I was able to bring my family yesterday after not having gone for 20 years and I was amazed to see that it has remained the same and they have done an amazing job with preserving it. The only thing that has changed about this place are the prices and one ticket cost $5. The ride probably lasted around 3 minutes and you are essentially paying over 1.50 a minute. My family wanted to go for a second time but I could not see paying another $30 dollars. I recall going on it many times back in the day because it was so inexpensive.

Fun and affordable horseback riding. Experience the Famous Flying Horses. Unfortunately, this horse was disqualified from ride due to this gelding behavior. Best boy ever! Mr. Handsome

A vintage indoor carousel with a small game room attached. A good place for small children to enjoy some entertainment.

Amazing historic carousel. The manager Lee Benjamin and the young lady behind the t-shirt counter were very friendly

What a treat to experience the oldest platform carousel ride in America! Give little ones a heads up that the horses are stationary - unlike today’s amusement park horses. Plus, don’t miss out on the ring game. Try to win a free ride by grabbing a brass ring! This little gem of a spot is worth stopping by for family fun!
