Flying Squid Tattoo

We came in as a walk-ins, had plenty of art/comics to look at while we waited. Good tunes, too. Worked with artist, Jeremy, to design a cover-up/fix-up for my father-in-law's tattoo. Artist took all our suggestions and gave valuable input, along with any other artists that happened to overhear us. Tattoo came out great and exactly what he wanted. I'll be coming here for any work I need done, for sure.

Flying Squid is a comfortable, professional location located in Houston Heights. Billy Ho is the real deal! Traditional, portraits, you name it- he's your guy! Not only is Billy a true artist but he is customer focused!

Cat was great! He made good suggestions, gave us great ideas and advise on the tattoos we wanted. Everyone was super professional, friendly and timely! Cat also gave me great action movie ideas! All in all, a great experience for my first time visiting Houston….I’ll definitely be back for the rising phoenix!!

Billy is 🔥! He has re-done my inner arm from a previous tattoo artist, which came out crazy good 👍. Since then has been my go to artist for my whole outer arm. Highly recommend Billy. Very professional, good quality, on time & excellent customer service. 👏

Took my daughter to get her first tattoo with Ben. He was great with her! She didn’t shed a tear! She did make a few metal faces though. ❤️‍🔥🤟🏼 Haha, Thanks for taking care if my girl.

Where do I start!!!!! Took a hour to set up came early still didn’t get started had to buy napkins !!! The layout was good did the line work ! Then it came to the shading !!! I have spot of no color asked him to fix it he said it didn’t need it on the spot I showed so I pulled the pic up again he added the color to that part !! Then I’m looking I see more spots without color ! He got upset didn’t wrap it or anything just said he was done !!!! Mind u I paid 170$ for this tattoo … added white spots that wasn’t even on the picture!!!!

Catfish is awesome! excellent work and nearly identical to my sketch! he made sure i knew what was going on the whole time, and walked me through the process.

Will add more photos after more sessions, it looks GREAT so far!!! Catfish took decades old ink and brought it back to splendid life. He's a gifted artist & skilled technician.
