Three New Clubs Join a Rebounding Nightlife Scene in D.C. | Eater DC

"At 1348 H Street NE I found a bougie newcomer that replaced RedRocks: a two-level spot with marble floors, VIP perimeter tables, abundant dangling flowers, colorful neon upstairs, and hookah tables, designed to shift from a late-night club on Saturdays into a Sunday brunch destination." - Tierney Plumb

The best brunch experience in DC. Came back for Memorial Day Weekend; my friend and I had a ball last year and had to run it back. The buffet is great; food is well seasoned but the only downside you have to go there in your own from wherever you are seated and there are 3 levels (recommend comfortable shoes/heels for those stairs). The unlimited mimosas were flowing and a time was had! Such a staple and so consistent - wish we had a spot like this in NYC. Not sure if it was for this weekend, but tickets were purchased ahead of time for $70/pp and for large groups - there is a service charge after brunch

Food is severely subpar for the $80 price point. Boasts bottomless brunch food and mimosas but if you don’t drink they don’t change the price and will still charge you $7 for a soft beverage. Venue is very nice and aesthetically pleasing, that’s pretty much the only thing that was nice from the experience. Wait staff hovers closely but is nice, maybe since it’s empty? Attended Saturday 1:30pm.

Food was good, but the quantity was scarce. I didn’t get everything they offered though so that could be why. Didn’t notice much vegetarians or vegan options. Music was good, they tried to be inclusive. Bathroom was clean. The hostesses were attentive and prompt. There was a mixed crowd.

Visited Focus Social Club recently and had an overall cool experience. The service was good—staff were friendly and attentive. The food was decent as well, nothing amazing but it did the job. The space itself is on the smaller side, and unfortunately, the upstairs area was closed during our visit, which made it feel a bit cramped. Music-wise, the DJ stuck mostly to newer hip-hop and rap. It was okay, but not very diverse. The crowd was cool, though, and the vibe felt safe and comfortable, which we appreciated. Might come back, but wouldn’t go out of my way.

Worst Brunch I have ever been to!! My husband & I paid $158 for this brunch which included "buffet and mimosas". The buffet only had about 9 options and nothing was good. I would say about a 3/10. We had 2 mimosas each, when we asked for a refill we were informed that the mimosas were no longer available. No last call, no option to get a final one, no nothing. When you go to brunch at most places (The Park, Barcode, Union Market, Limani, 1865) they would literally come around to inform you that it's about to end and allow the opportunity to get a final round but nope, not Focus. They just shut it down. I will never ever come to this place again. Im almost certain that they won't make it through next year due to the greed! Smh, never fails! I was also charged 20% plus an additional 10% credit card fee for a hookah. Had I known this prior to ordering, it would have never been purchased. Why are certain businesses so greedy! It's absurd!

Google
This was my first and last time coming to Focus. To start, the humidity inside the facility was unbearable — with the crowd size they have, proper air conditioning should definitely be a priority. On top of that, the food line setup was poorly designed. You actually have to walk up a flight of stairs just to get served, which is not only inconvenient but also unsafe for people wearing heels. For the price of brunch, standing in a crowded line and navigating steps just to get food isn’t acceptable. While I’ll give credit where it’s due — the food was tasty and the customer service was great — the overall setup made the experience uncomfortable. The humidity, long wait, and stair situation made it feel more like a hassle than a good time. I’d suggest adding elevators or serving brunch on both levels to make it more accessible. Overall, I’d rate my experience a 5/10.

I went for brunch with the intention of having a great time with my friends and creating memories. Instead, I was met with a lot of confusion about the services, which were not clearly explained when I paid. I arrived at 12:45 p.m., and the doorman only mentioned that we had 90 minutes—he never explained that there were two different brunch services. During that 90-minute window, I was told multiple times that my service had ended, even though there was still plenty of food available. The first waitress tried to stop our service but was later told to let us continue eating and enjoying the bottomless mimosas. When the mimosas ran out, a different waitress came over abruptly and said she had to pour the drinks. I asked her to pour it into my water cup, and she refused. When I tried to pour my own drink, she said, “No, I will pour it for you.” This was confusing since we had been pouring our own drinks the entire time without issue. I am not someone who usually complains, but I truly dislike poor customer service—especially after paying good money for an experience that should have been enjoyable. No customer should be met with such confusion and disrespect.

Yelp
Approximately $70 for a brunch and bottomless mimosa, I know what you're thinking... expensive especially in This economy. But let me tell you, it is definitely worth the money! The food was BOMB heated perfectly, served buffet style and typically buffet food isn't great but this was amazing. Good portions too! The service was top notch, I truly never saw the bottom of my glass, the mimosas were flowing like no tomorrow. I probably had about 12, the ambiance is cute and modern. Okay so are you wondering why 4 stars instead of 5? -BEAWRE for parties of 1-3 you have to sit at the bar (this isn't stated any where on the website) I came as a group of 3, so we had to sit at the bar which isn't what we wanted nor expected. -in order for you to get to the buffet, you have to go up and down the steps shown, after mimosa #5, I wasn't tryna use them stairs babe All in all this place is great! Will return just didn't enjoy having to sit at the bar with my group and having to go up and down the stairs

Yelp
The vibes here don't miss. From bottle service, music/hosts, drinks, and hookah. We visited twice probably within a month and had a great time. Entry tickets include a buffet and bottomless mimosas which the servers keep flowing. The food in the buffet to me is just okay but gets the job done when the drinks start flowing. On busier days, I recommend arriving early for the buffet as the line can get long. They come around and take pictures which you can purchase for $20 which I personally like when out with the girls. The staff has always been friendly and responsive and I will definitely return

Yelp
My husband and I came for date night and had an amazing time. Short version: if you love hip hop and R&B, a hype DJ, great food, strong mimosas and fun atmosphere, just go! We were really happy about the food compared to other brunch buffets. My husband went for seconds and the mac and cheese tasted like somebody's grandma was back there cooking. I got seconds of the fried fish and chicken - seasoning was on point! The servers at the buffet were not skimping on the food either. I was trying to be cute and ask for one mini waffle the server said "girl, just get two" lol. Our bartender was amazing! We sat at the bar and the bartender made sure our glasses were never empty! They offered three flavors of mimosa: mango, strawberry and peach! YESSSSSS to no basic flavors! My favorite was the strawberry, my husband preferred the mango. All were delicious. The music started off with some 90's and 2000's and moved into some of the newer stuff as the brunch went on. There were a few floor competitions that got everyone participating and having a good time. Overall, phenomenal experience and we'll definitely come back!

Yelp
Baby listennnn... Please do not go in here trynna be cheap because you are in for a rude awakening. The drinks are good here so good my friend and I ran up a tab like really bad . They have a good night brunch. The lamb chops hit. Don't know if they do that anymore. But focus is cool and cute! Would recommend.

Yelp
Had the best girls Sunday brunch last weekend! S/O to Neb, mouaz and the bartenders for creating a great experience! Vibes were great for the 2p brunch and after party. The buffet was bomb. And their flavored bottomless mimosas were great. Highly recommend for a girls brunch!

Yelp
Food is okay-drinks are too...a bit pricey for a bar situation. There's no lounge area just bar tables and chairs-soo not the most comfortable. But the main complaint is that the music is soo loud. Also-the photo guy basically forced us to take a picture then of course wanted to sell us them-we declined but later my friend decided to buy one (I told her not to) she was promised a digital copy of the others emailed to her for free...guess who never got her copies. Smh. Don't buy the pictures and beware that the music is ridiculously loud-even when it's empty-you literally have to yell. And with songs with little to no bass it's especially painful on the ears.

Yelp
We went here for my cousins Birthday she is visiting from CA. And the vibe and decor was cute. But the food was regular and the drinks are definitely watered down. We ordered a rum punch with a double and I could not taste any alcohol. The bartender was super nice and did a good job at checking on us. But we ordered hookah it took forever and when we let them know it was hitting to hard they took over 20 min to replace it the amazing bartender took it back since they was taking to long. But guess what we still waited another 20 minutes and no hookah! And our bartender Naomi got it for us. Love her great customer service and a pretty smile. The Dj was good and got everyone hype but I wasn't impressed overall

Yelp
Issa vibe! Another 4.5 star review coming at you. Sooooo close to 5 stars but having to trek upstairs to the brunch buffet was no bueno for me. Yes, there is upstairs seating. No one was upstairs at first. My guess is the second seating group gets upstairs while they clean and reset downstairs. Will I be back? Yessir! Lively atmosphere. I don't know who curated the playlist but it was fiyah! A good mix of club bangas and current hits. Not too loud. Not to obnoxious. I caught myself or my table mates jamming along several times. Some created a makeshift dance floor. I knew I was in the right spot when our waitress expertly dodged the dancers. We were celebrating my friends birthday. She had us at the 1-2:30 seating. So our resys were locked through her. Don't trip when you see the price tag online. I believe $69 before any taxes or tips. HOWEVER bottomless mimosas!! Aaayyyyeeee! And the best part? You don't have to beg a server for refills. They cruise the tables on a regular basis to refill with your choice of pineapple, orange or cranberry mimosas. You have a warning for when mimosa time is winding down. I looked over at the bar and peeped the mimosa carafe assembly line. They know the deal! I am NC native not a DC girl. Parking is straight trash for anything over a couple house. Listen!! Do yourself a favor and find a prepaid parking. Nope. Not endorsing other services here but you know what to do. Our friends parked at Union station and took a ride share. To be rare by the time we wasted an hour trying to park and got a reco to find a prepaid spot through a service plus the 20 minutes walk - 1:40pm by the time we arrived. we didn't get to maximize the buffet. I maximized those mimosas though! Owww! Buffet is not self service. You get reasonable portions. I am used to larger portions but we all know there is a lot of food waste. Some dishes like the shrimp and grits are preportioned. The salad bar looked delicious but I didn't have stomach room to waste on plants. Bacon-- crispy! Again, a little stingy for me. I will get 6-8 slices and crush them all so 2-3 slices gets the side eye. Bae enjoyed the Bang Bang Chicken strips. Think of those flat venue chicken strips slathered in a zingy Asian sweet heat chili sauce. No shade. This is important. I tried to make these at home. The chunky all white me chicken strips don't hit the same. You want the flat chicken tenders. Oh. I forgot to mention - savory grits! Not the buttery or cheesy variety but still tasty sans shrimp for me. Brunch. Exactly that bacon, eggs, pancakes, potatoes meets fries chicken wings, bang bang chicken, shrimp, cheesesteak egg rolls and salad bar. Plus some items I may be forgetting. Check the photo. How could I forget the hookahs? Easy. We didn't order one. Ha! Seriously several tables had them. The guy even came around to replace the coals as needed. Pro tip 1a: Make a reservation. From my observation the 3pm seating looked like it was about to be all the way live. Pro tip 1b: Make a parking reservation. While driving in circles trying to figure out where to park we saw cars getting tickets. 50-11 restricted spaces for permits / residents. A lot of 2 hr spaces. We joined the party bus from here so we needed extended parking. Pro tip 2: Don't break that seal too early. The bathrooms are upstairs. You'll get ya workout if you start having to go after every other mimosa. Pro tip 3: For the ladies, ask for help. The men who work there are very friendly. They are sympathetic to our cute shoes cause. Going downstairs in heels with a plate or two of food? Potential recipe for disaster. Don't be that girl who is splayed out at the bottom of the stairs surrounded by her meal abs broken plates. Get the help. Pro tip 4: For the fellas, plenty of big screens. You won't miss the game and you can have a fly dating experience with ya lady. You're welcome!

Yelp
Everything at Focus was to die for!!!! We went for a Saturday brunch and fell in love! The servers are so attentive! Their brunch buffet has such a wide variety, with everything being so tasty! The drinks just keep coming and the music selection was phenomenal! Their hookah was also pretty good! Definitely recommend Focus for a good time!

Yelp
My recent experience at Focus DC on H Street was nothing short of a disaster, and a significant portion of that can be directly attributed to the shockingly poor service provided by the bartender, Roshni. In fact, I would go so far as to say Roshni is the worst bartender I have ever encountered. From the moment we sat down at the bar, it was clear that our presence was an inconvenience rather than an opportunity for service. We waited an unacceptable 30 minutes just for a simple greeting. Thirty minutes! In a bar! During that time, Roshni seemed more interested in chatting with other patrons and fiddling with things behind the bar than acknowledging new customers. When she finally deigned to take our order, I clearly requested a specific cocktail. What I received was something entirely different - a poorly mixed concoction that bore no resemblance to what I had asked for. Mistakes happen, I understand that. However, it was Roshni's subsequent behavior that truly cemented this as a terrible experience. Upon politely pointing out the error, Roshni was dismissive and frankly, rude. She insisted the drink was made correctly, despite it clearly not being. I requested that she remake it, but she flat-out refused. This level of unprofessionalism is astounding. At this point, I asked to speak with a manager. Repeatedly. I asked several times for a manager to intervene and address the incorrect drink and Roshni's dismissive attitude. Each time, my request was ignored or met with a vague wave of her hand. No manager ever appeared. It felt as though Roshni was actively preventing us from escalating the issue. Ultimately, I was forced to pay for a drink that I did not order and could not drink. This is not only bad customer service, it feels like blatant disregard for patrons. Focus DC on H Street might have a nice ambiance or other redeeming qualities, but my experience was completely overshadowed by the abysmal service from Roshni. Her lack of attention, inability to make a correct drink, and outright refusal to involve management created a truly frustrating and negative experience. I strongly advise anyone considering a visit to Focus DC on H Street to avoid it entirely, especially if Roshni is behind the bar. There are countless other establishments in the area that value their customers and provide competent service. I will certainly never be returning to Focus DC.

Yelp
If you're looking for a nice brunch with a lit atmosphere, then you gotta visit Focus Social Club! I had a blast celebrating a friend's birthday some months ago on a Saturday afternoon. We had reservations upstairs where the brunch buffet is. TIP: Make sure you arrive before the afternoon crowd or you're going to wait in a long line for your food. Another tip: Don't get the cabbage. I know, I know, I knowwww. Who eats cabbage at brunch? Obviously there's a few of us who don't mind since it's part of the menu lol. But don't do it. Everything else I ate was good... it's your typical brunch fare. I don't recall anything being stale or nasty. Ohhh final tip: Don't be afraid to ask for more. They have servers at the buffet and sometimes they get a little skimp with some of the items. The only thing I disliked about the place is that it felt crowded at times. Like the tables were placed so close together and the seats are very close together. This place is basically like a day party even during the brunch hours, so it gets pretty crowded upstairs. Make sure you get out of the way when they start removing and setting up furniture to get everything sorted for the actual day party experience. I think moving the furniture around like that is kind of tacky, BUT I get that this is a business practice sometimes as you are transitioning to different experiences.

Yelp
Came here for a Brunch, Saturday - Memorial Weekend. Had to pay $20 online for reservation tickets, paid online and showed scan at the door. Time said it started at 12PM so my guest and I arrived at that time, but we were told the event actually didn't start til 1230P We went across the street , had a beer and came back around 1245. Again, we were told the food wasn't ready so it'd be another 15 minutes. By then, the person at the door said, since yll already paid you can go in. We sat at the bar. Bartender gave us options of mimosas (OJ, pineapple and cranberry) in wine glasses. Mimosas were good. Buffet food was ready on the 2nd floor may around 1p. Good selection. They was even a separate waffle and shrimp section. The rooftop was not open at the time we were there (1230-3) DJ was good for the most part. Spinning early 2000 music but she was inconsistent with the mix. Would go from Mary J. Blige to TI to SWV to 50 cent.

Yelp
Man, hands down the BEST brunch/day party I've gone to at this point. The customer service is ON POINT, literally every staff member from the outdoor security, to the DJ, bottle girls, food servers, security and photographer. I forgot my table server/bottle girl's name but she was so nice and professional. I came to celebrate my birthday, had a party of 9. We were seated downstairs and the food/buffet is upstairs, appreciated the security who assisted you down stairs to your table to ensure you safely made it down the steps. So much courtesy. Be prepared to party and have a good time, if you're stuck up and bougie acting don't even come. The food is so good! I appreciate the food is served down the line, the servers wore masks and gloves!

Yelp
I can remember when this place used to be Red Rocks a few years ago. I have some special memories there and the pizza and pasta were usually on point. It is now Focus Social Club and I was aware that they have poppin nightlife, day parties and brunch on the weekends. Therefore, I was excited to try out their happy hour which is the standard Mon-Fri from 5-7. The ambiance is pretty chill if you're going on a Friday at 5pm so I assume it gets crowded later in the evening. My friends and I sat at the bar and the service was satisfactory. We each ordered a drink and we also ordered some Chicken pizza and Old Bay wings which in my opinion are overpriced. $17 dollars for six old bay wings that were over fried? No, thank you. The pizza was $15 but it did not give what Red Rocks used to. I know it's a different business but they kept the same brick pizza oven that Red Rocks had so I was hoping it would be the same quality. I'll pass up on ordering food here. We went to Hill Prince across and enjoyed more of the ambiance and service there. Focus definitely needs some improvements on the food quality but I think there's some potential. I would come back for a day party but I'll make sure to eat somewhere else...

Yelp
I recently celebrated my birthday this past Saturday at Focus Social Lounge in DC. While I had high hopes for the experience--especially after hearing good things--I walked away extremely disappointed with several aspects of the day. Let's start with the brunch. The food itself was actually good, and I'll give credit where it's due there. However, the atmosphere was unbearably hot. We repeatedly asked the staff to adjust the air conditioning, but we were told it was already on and that there was nothing more they could do. It was literally burning up inside. With large windows in the ceiling allowing in intense sunlight, this space needs serious improvements to climate control--whether that's covering the windows, adding fans, or upgrading the AC system. It was uncomfortable for everyone. Then, there's the issue with the "unlimited" mimosas. We had a party of 14 people, yet they only brought out two carafes at a time. By the time everyone poured a glass, they were gone--and trying to find our waitress for refills became a constant struggle. It felt like we were chasing down basic service the entire time. If you're going to advertise unlimited mimosas, be prepared to provide them consistently and efficiently, especially for large parties. Unfortunately, the experience didn't improve during the day party. The customer service was again below expectations. I had reserved a table, and my cousin had reserved two additional tables in advance. Despite him having confirmation for both tables, we were told he couldn't book two at the same price, and that one would have to be upgraded--something that wasn't mentioned at all during booking. After nearly 30 minutes of back-and-forth with a staff member (who first claimed to be speaking with the manager, and then later claimed to be the manager), they finally agreed to honor the reservation as originally confirmed. The lack of transparency and professionalism here was frustrating and honestly unacceptable. All in all, this experience fell far short of what a birthday celebration should be. Me and my party made the best of the situation since we couldn't get a refund. Between the extreme heat, poor service during brunch, and the mishandled reservation situation during the day party, I felt frustrated and disappointed. I'm sharing this not to bash the establishment, but in hopes that the management team at Focus Social Lounge takes this feedback seriously. Improvements in customer service, communication, and overall guest comfort are urgently needed.

Yelp
Fun spot for a midweek hang!! I saw them shooting a reality tv show here a couple weeks ago and it was hoppin tonight so we stopped in! It's cute but the drinks we got were roughhhhh. The pink drink tasted like corn syrup and gasoline.

Yelp
They tried to put us at a tiny table but did accommodate. We waiting for 30 minutes and then brunch still cut off at 3:30 which pissed me off because we were early for our reservation. Very unorganized but the food was good

Dakota M.

Yelp
Sunday was my second time at Focus, but my first time for brunch. Brunch includes the buffet and unlimited mimosas from 2-3:30. I typically hate buffets, but the staff served the food which made me feel better in regard to sanitation. The food was actually very solid for a buffet. It's nothing to write home about, but I did eat all my food and was satisfied. I'm a pescatarian and at many places, I feel like I can only choose from a few things, but at Focus I felt that I had a good amount of options. One thing that Focus has just right is the vibe. The staff is friendly and attentive. The music was great (mix of oldies, hip-hop, Afrobeats,etc.). We ordered a bottle for the table after brunch (Don Julio Rep.) which came out to be around $530. I definitely think this is a bit high, but 4 shots with gratuity were about $100 so it was worth it. Overall, I enjoyed my brunch at Focus and will definitely return.

Yelp
It's been a minute since I've gone out to lounge (you know we've been in a pandemic for a whole). I stepped into Focus Social Club and it felt familiar! It's the new Red Rocks. :-) Anywhoo, Social Focus Club is a peak urban lounge experience. They played mostly trap music for the little over an hour that I was there. If that's your speed stop by. The drinks were okay. Not sure what they're doing with the upstairs level as it was blocked off. They have everything your typical lounge would: table and bottle service. You can reserve a section if you have a large party and some guests decided that meant a whole section of the actual bar. I don't think that's the case but I think the waiter just didn't want argue with the guest. Overall not my speed but it certainly had a full crowd.

Yelp
I've been here a few times, experiencing a Friday Saturday night and Sunday day party, and of course depending on the crowd it can vary and how 'lit' it gets but this is a solid spot and brings a lot of value to H St. Love having hookah on the rooftop. Big fan.

Yelp
A couple friends and I decided to check out focus social club to see what they had to offer. Supposedly this is where red rocks used to be located and I used to frequent that restaurant/club often. We came to focus on a Sunday night about 8-9ish pm and there was no cover charge. It wasn't too packed either. I believe they have 3 levels, however the rooftop was closed when we arrived so we were on the 2nd floor. The music was very good, mainly hip hop. The drinks were pretty good as well but pretty expensive. They also had hookah which was also pretty expensive, i can't remember but it was about $40-60. They also offer brunch/day parties which i haven't had the chance to go to. But I've heard pretty good things. Parking can be tricky but Street parking is available so expect to do a bit of walking. Overall focus is pretty good vibes and good music. Will return in the near future to try food and brunch.

Yelp
Here for a holiday party. It's my understanding that this lounge is open Thursday-Sunday. I am here on a Wednesday night for a private event. They staff is welcoming and attentive. The menu is available via QR code. So far tonight we've tried mixed drinks and appetizers. I ordered the mixed seafood meal. It was blah. All of the proteins were over cooked. Mixed seafood dinner. The crab balls were fried too long. The lobster was tough and hard to remove from the shell. The shrimp had no seasoning beyond being too charred. The waitress said she would get the manager for my to discuss it with and he/she never came to ours table. Nor did the waitress ever come back to our table to give us a status. Beware of the built in gratuity and then the hand held devices prompting you to tip on top of the gratuity the establishment already added to your check. Servers should disclose this to patrons when the checks are being settled.

Yelp
My guests and I received the worst service customer service after spending around $1000 last night. It was so terrible that it was almost unbelievable. After receiving a table upstairs, I sent some guys to the bar to grab cups of water for the table while we waited for our server. They came back empty-handed, and we're told to simply wait and ask our waitress. An hour goes by and we receive the bottles with orange juice and cranberry. I remind the waitress to please bring a carafe of water but she never does. I decide to personally walk over to the bar and request a cup of ice water and a very rude, middle-aged, black woman, that was literally standing behind the bar tells me "that's not her job". She further explains that I need to request this cup of water from the waitress, and that she is only there to sell me a drink. Unbelievable, after spending $1000 in this establishment. So disrespectful. One star is for the clean bathrooms and the DJ, he was great. Overall, I had a decent time at Focus last night but I will not be back.

Yelp
Came for a day party during my birthday weekend and it was a great time! The food looked great! The drinks were good and the hookah was really smooth! Service didn't take long even though it was crowded.

Yelp
Music is great. Food is great. Service is horrible. It's really a money grab and they make up rules as they go. The waitress went out of her way to make it so we had to spend more money than necessary. Won't be back. They also spike the cheapest mimosas with club soda. Like dawg you're using Andre's...ANDRE'S cheap champagne and you can't even let the people have a proper mimosa. I can almost guarantee this'll be another failed black business in the District. Much like Ozio...I'll be back to tap dance on your fiscal grave.

Yelp
The vibes are great the service was immaculate. Nijay was our server she was such a sweetie she made sure that every time we needed anything she was there from the refills to food. We had reservations from 1pm until 2:30pm I enjoyed every minute wish we would have stayed for the day party. 10/10 would recommend

Yelp
Came from out of town with my girlfriend for brunch. Lenn was our hostess for the afternoon/evening, and she was the absolute best! I'll make sure to ask for her whenever I visit. The food was ok, drinks were outrageously expensive, but I expected that. Good vibes and music, nonetheless. We enjoyed our day there.

Yelp
It's cool but The brunch is weird. All the food is on the second floor and there is no structure so people can cut the line. Don't go in the summer cause it's hot af in there.

Yelp
Great experience at the 90s brunch! Bottomless mimosas and I mean bottomless! They kept em coming and for larger parties they kept a carafe on the table. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was so good! The best brunch I've had in DC for sometime. The cost is $59 and you get 2 hours and the day party starts around 5ish. Here's a breakdown of my experience: Drinks Pineapple Mimosa (9/10) Cranberry Mimosa (7/10) Food: Shrimp n Grits (needed a sauce but it was flavorful 8/10) Mac n Cheese (10/10) Eggs w/peppers (7/10) Bacon (9/10) Waffle (don't remember the flavor but 8/10)

Yelp
Ok so I live in Brooklyn and my cousin lives in Maryland. I travelled to MD to celebrate her birthday. She choose this spot which she said she's been to before during brunch hours. My cousin is 37 and I'm 41 what I should of asked her is if this restaurant/lounge is my kind of crowd :| And it certainly wasn't. Now don't get me wrong if you love smoking hookah and listening to rap then check this place out because the vibes are there but because I don't smoke and I don't listen to rap I didn't care for this place at all. Now let's get into the food I ordered The Pink Pussy Cat drink which was pretty in sight and tasty on the palate I had no complaints with my drink. My cousin ordered a mojito but they didn't have mint so they made one for her without it. I then ordered the grilled shrimp with risotto and sautéed vegetables. The Birthday girl got the lamb chops with basmati rice and sautéed vegetables. Ummmm honeyyyyy the only thing good on both our plates was the protein. Both our rice selections was BLAND to a fault as well as my vegetables smh I couldn't put enough salt on my risotto. Her vegetables wasn't even vegetables it was sautéed onions and sweet peppers :\ let me mention real quick that it was a party of 8. We all paid our part and let me just mention that when we got there my cousin was asked for her card to put on hold only to get charged at the end of the night $663.00 EXCUSEEEEEE MEEEEEE. Now it's a good thing my cousin had some drinks inside her because she was going to flip off . She is also a manager so she knows how these things go, but this was absolutely absurd. The waitress apparently was brand-new and did not check her ID before swiping her card and her card was charged for a TOTALLY different table smh that's damn near $700 talk about ridiculous. Would I go back no but if you want to check them out because that's your vibe by all means do enjoy.

Yelp
The vibes in here are beautiful. I love how they revamped this space. The DJ was spinning some great music and the bartenders were very attentive even though the place was packed. My glass was never empty and the party kept going. I love that they serve food late. I was able to get food to go because even though I wasn't hungry then, I knew I would be later. And the pizza and wings did not disappoint. If you're looking to have a good time, the food, drinks and hookah are all great and, they have a photographer there snapping pictures so you won't forget the time you had. 10/10!

Yelp
I had an okay time here. The food was good - it was the service that made me remove a couple stars. The food is buffet style. I had fried wings, shrimp/grits and fried potatoes. All good food. In terms of the service, we had to wait way too long for our mimosas to be refilled. When you're paying $60+ and only have limited time during the reservation, there's the expectation that the drinks would be kept flowing (or just leave them at the table).

Yelp
I just so happened to park outside of this place and noticed a lot of people getting out of Ubers and going inside. I had plans to have breakfast already, so I parked my car and walked down the street. When I came back, I noticed more people were going inside and also a line had formed. I sat in my car for a little bit and people watched. I enjoyed seeing all types of people go in and out which had me realize this was a spot for everyone. A friend decided to hang out, so we went to a different spot that was close. When I came back to my car this time, we decided to go ahead and to see what it was about. I like that it has three floors with the top being a rooftop, although it was not open because it was a little chilly. It's one of those locations where the middle is open so you can look down to see the floor below or look up to see the floor above you. This was definitely a brunch / day party spot and I can tell it's also chill on the evenings as well. A lot of people were smoking hookah and dancing around enjoying themselves. This is a place that I definitely would come back to for brunch.

Yelp
So much fun !! What a fun brunch spot followed by a day party. The music was awesome I was literally jamming the whole time. The food was delicious- I love the way it was served.. it was Buffay style but they had servers preparing your plate which was really nice because once you wash your hands you can just focus on your silverware and eating without constantly touching utensils after everyone else. Also the ladies bringing the mimosas were right on cue, every time our glass was down a bit they were back to refill. The staff work together as a whole to clear the plates and make sure that we had everything we needed. They gave Guest a photo opt with the photographer making you feel like you're a celebrity. We wanted to pick the 2 to 4 slot but it was sold out so we ended up picking the 12 to 2... Honestly I think it was better, because we could eat without being crowded with so many people. Everyone was relaxing and having a good time... People ball ordered hookahs and the drinks kept flowing. My boyfriend and I went for a nice little brunch outing but ended up making friends with a group of people who were celebrating a birthday party! It was a nice environment overall delicious food, non stop drinks, nostalgic music and the best vibes! I definitely recommend! Yelp
I don't plan on returning..you pay $65 in advance for brunch and "bottomless" until 4pm but it's not worth the money.. I've found myself staying here from 2pm to 10 before, but never again due to unaccommodating management and their refusal to honor giving you what you paid for if you arrive @ 3. They refuse to leave a carafe with your party while you drink your bottomless so you're waiting for the server to walk the entire floor and individually pour you a glass every single time. They have a tendency to overbook and have minimal seating to accommodate large parties. The food is buffet style brunch that is poor in variety - Save your money, luv!

Yelp
I've been for late night weekend things, Sunday brunch, and even on Thursday nights and Focus is simply a vibe! Whether you're sitting at the bar or upstairs dancing, you can often find a seat and somebody will be getting it next to you. Drinks are cute and do what they need to and bartenders are friendly and attentive! Thursday nights are chill enough to go with a friend, sit at the bar and talk (and actually hear each other)! Music is good and there's lots of TVs, truly not much negative to say except that sometimes there's a cover!

Yelp
If you are an avid bruncher??? You'll be disappointed. It's buffet style, and the food is decent but it's cramp y'all lol. I'm going to give it another go with my group of people however... if you want a cute vibe with a DJ without the twerk contest and all. Find another spot lol

Yelp
Food = 10/10, Atmosphere = 10/10, Vibes = 100/10 So I'm going to start this review dating back to the beginning of May 2022. I contacted Focus regarding planning a 35th birthday brunch/day party for my wife. Upon contact, I was introduced to Neb. I would soon find out that I could not have been in better hands. I spoke with Neb about all of the details I wanted for my wife's birthday party. During the planning process, Neb was quick to respond and super accommodating to all of my requests. The day of the party occurred on June 10, 2022. Neb and his staff pulled out all the stops. Neb accommodated our party of 28 on the lower level to the left of the bar. We occupied the entire area with more than enough space for everyone to be seated. Neb made sure that every single staff member in the entire building not only spoke to my wife, but also wished her a happy birthday. The DJ also shouted out my wife's birthday multiple times throughout the entire day. Neb also threw in a complementary bottle of champagne. The entire experience exceeded my expectations far past what I could've imagined. While I did spend a decent amount of money, I felt that every single penny was worth it. We had such a good time that day and I cannot thank Neb and his staff enough for such an awesome experience. We returned two weeks later with another couple and booked a table as they were celebrating their five year wedding anniversary. I will admit that I was a bit last-minute in planning and forgot to mention the anniversary details to Neb until the day of. Neb happened to be in Florida that weekend, however, that didn't stop him from still making something happen even with the last minute heads up. He was still able to have his staff present a complementary bottle of champagne for our couple friends that were celebrating their anniversary. Most recently, we met up with another couple who we're really good friends with. This was around August 21 of 2022. Our friends so happened to be out and about as they were celebrating a birthday. They decided to meet at Focus so we met at around 9 PM. We didn't have any sort of reservation this time as this was just a regular night out around the city. As we walked to the entrance of Focus, Neb so happened to be outside. Neb greeted us and he mentioned to his staff to take care of us. One of his staff members was able to sit us at a table where we could be properly served. We happened to order a bottle and yet again, the server as well as some of the other staff members were all super accommodating and hospitable. I felt compelled to break down my experience with this establishment because I really wanted to highlight the high-level customer service that the folks at Focus always strive to uphold. It's really important to me that whenever I go out and spend money that I have a really good return on investment, which Neb and the team at Focus does every single time. I know that whenever I go to Focus, I'm going to get the best bang for my buck which is why I don't mind spending the money here. Neb and his team at Focus consistently exceeds all of my expectations. For anyone thinking of planning an event here, I highly recommend it. Let them know that I sent you!

Yelp
Didn't see a lot of happy hour reviews here but I went there for happy hour with friends and it was cool. The DJ was GREAT, he played a good mix of Afrobeats and hip hop (new stuff), my friend kept asking for his name! Vibes were great, the waitresses were so lovely as well. Only thing is, they really don't have a HH menu, hence the 3 stars. I feel like if you advertise HH from 4-8 there should be an actual menu, not just *some* cocktails for $13 each, that's not a very happy price :( they also didn't have mojitos or many cocktails, or our waitress just didn't know. I think some more employee training & an actual HH menu here would be perfect. I like the brunch menu tho& based on the other reviews I'd definitely return for brunch!

Yelp
Don't waste your time! You'll have to wait a while for everything. Management is about money. I wish I would have stuck to what I know!!

Yelp
I visited Focus Social Club for my friends birthday brunch. There were around 12 of us in the party. We opted to do brunch as this was the birthday girls request but I have mixed reviews. The venue is 3 stories tall but the buffet is only located on the second floor. Meaning everyone has to line up to get a plate down a staircase. You are also only allowed one plate at a time. The brunch reservations are for 1.5 hours, but much of that time is spent waiting in line for your food or waiting for them to bring out clean plates so you really only visit the buffet once. For the price point you should either have 2 buffet lines or allow more than 1 plate. The food was good and had great flavor. Our server Nijaya was extremely sweet and constantly check in on us to make sure we were okay. We ended up ordering hookah and a bottle which came out with a cute sign for the birthday girl. Music was good the DJ played a great variety of music. All in all the birthday girl enjoyed herself and that's what matters most however, I think management needs to reevaluate the system behind their brunch.

Yelp
I was impressed with this relatively new spot on H street. Great ambiance and the DJ really made the night, getting the crowd going. It was definitely the place to be in the area. Price wise, it all adds up...but was a really good time.

Yelp
I love their brunch. The food is delicious. The vibe is wonderful. I will deff come back

Yelp
The bar staff does not appear to be skilled or trained, the service was fair @ best. Ordered appetizers, no appetizer plates brought. Drink order never got right. Water refills proved to challenging a request. Fries didn't taste fully cooked for $8. The wings so so. I see we hby it's a 2 star rating. I'm trying not to be so hard on restaurants these days that's a pandemic but just join was the freaking worst. Then tried to charge me for the drinks that we didn't drink. It's giving Chick-fil-A would've been better

Yelp
Overpriced drinks for what you get. Disappointing and would not recommend it back. The music was ok

Yelp
Sunday brunch was oversold. The 90 min time limit is a joke. Waited in line for 30 mins. Then the line for food, 45 mins. They only bring out one carafe of mimosa no matter your size table. Never coming again. Don't waste your time or money. Posted a pic of the line. You won't get anything but one plate. Just a mess.... Dave your time, money, and celebrate a special event somewhere else.
