"Foer certainly has character both in terms of the stylish decor – nab a place at the dining counter if you can – and the food. The focus here is on vegetables and herbs, perhaps complemented by a fish or meat dish. Using inventive preparation techniques, Steven Broere succeeds in elevating vegetables in original combinations. For instance, he marries intense beetroot cooked in a salt crust and an emulsion of egg yolk with subtle acidity to create a remarkable flavour sensation. The select wines add to this unique sense of harmony." - Michelin Inspector

First time at Foer, and what a great experience was that. They work a lot with seasonal vegetables and they are great in preparing it in different ways. They have many pots where they ferment vegetables and grow special ingredients themselves. This creates their own signature taste. On top the service is great, the space very warm with nice music. They make their own alcohol free drinks, which they pair with the dishes. Several are made from kombucha, a fermented tea drink made by using a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY). That tasted really good. They were so nice to give some of the Scoby so I will start making my own drinks!!

Foer is a gem in Amsterdam’s Eastern Docklands. The setting is warm and stylish, and the service was spot-on—friendly, knowledgeable, and relaxed. What really surprised me was how much I loved the vegetarian “Flora” menu. As a regular meat eater, I didn’t expect the veggie dishes to outshine everything else, but they truly did. The flavors were bold, creative, and deeply satisfying. I’d happily go fully vegetarian next time. Also, I used to be skeptical of natural wines, but their pairings were a revelation. Foer made me a convert. A unique and memorable dining experience—highly recommend.

The food was fantastic. They delivered on everything they advertised, locally sourced, innovative, plant based forward and the culinary technique to tie it all together. The service was kind and personable and just as positively unpretentious as the whole dining experience. At just under 100€ for a 7 course taster, you are getting a LOT of value for your money. Highly recommended!

It was great! The food was great and very good balanced. Non alcoholic drinks were perfect alternative for a wine.

Everything about this place is phenomenal. Some of the best food I've ever had in my life. If you're considering coming here, GO. I can't rave about this place enough. Do yourself a favor and come here. Sit. Relax and enjoy.

What an amazing experience at Foer! Had the 7-course Fauna menu, paired with non-alc drinks they make in house. The hospitality of the staff, paired with the genius & delicious menu made a night out to a restaurant to remember!

It was a whole experience. I loved the atmosphere of the place and the service was very careful. I also loved the food but for the amount we paid I should have left with a full belly. Instead I could have eaten everything from the beginning a second time. The dinner for me was more like a "long aperitif that never made it to the first course" but I appreciated the original and unusual flavours

Some of the best food I've ever had in Amsterdam, and amazing value considering the number of dishes you can have as part of the set menu! Creative, beautiful, delicious and served by friendly and knowledgeable waiters and chefs. The wines were perfectly paired and the home made kombucha cocktails were the best I've ever had. Can't recommend enough, particularly for vegetarian fine dining.
