It seems like they don't really care about the reviews, but hopefully, the owner or manager reads this and takes steps to improve.
When we got there (this was our first time, and honestly, I don't know how they have a 4.5-star review on Yelp), the server clearly saw us standing by the door but chose to ignore us. Even after we asked if we should order from the front, she walked right past us.
We figured things out ourselves and went to the register. She still ignored us, even though she didn't appear busy with other orders. My husband had to say "excuse me" three times before she acknowledged us. When we finally placed our order, I could barely hear her as she was speaking so quietly. While I can overlook that, the lack of basic courtesy was disappointing.
The tables weren't cleaned either--there were straw wrappers left from previous customers. The service was slow as well, so I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're in a hurry.
As for the food, it was just okay. It arrived a little on the cold side, and I wish the French toast was warmer. It was very dry, and somehow even the Nutella topping was dry, which I didn't think was possible.
I won't be returning, but it seems like the neighbors appreciate this place. Hopefully, they improve for their regulars.
