Google
Seemed fairly long to receive a latte. Unsure if the unpleasant experience of waiting had more to do with the overall lack of design to the storefront, or the resistance to greeting patrons as they came in for coffee. Maybe it’s a cultural difference I missed, but I can miss this cafe.

Google
Delicious local cafe! We came for brunch and ordered a baleada and scramble! The potatoes were super well seasoned and the everything was piping hot and fresh. It was busy with a community atmosphere but not too busy (we could still easily find a table). The coffee was good too. Definitely come check it out!

Google
Got a few items, everything was delicious. Only thing that threw me off is I got a club sandwich and instead of pieces of bacon, it was chopped/crumbled. Still good just not expecting it. Best iced latte ive had in a while. I recommend.

Google
Was so happy to find this place open at 6am on a Saturday. Had several vegetarian options for my husband and I, indoor and outdoor seating, and great coffee drinks. Didn’t take pics of the food until we had each already dug in. 😸 I was especially happy with the house-made pumpkin syrup for their pumpkin lattes (it had real pieces of pumpkin!) our food was fast, tasty, and served by a very friendly barista. Overall great way to start of the day. Would recommend.

Google
Great place to grab coffee, matcha and breakfast. Got a bagel breakfast sandwich, oatmeal and different coffees. Good prices- very friendly!!

I've been wanting to go here for a while now but never really had the chance to until today.  Upon walking in,  I was surprised at how big it was on the inside, and they had plenty of seating.  The place looked very clean and simply decorated. The menu is very simple.  Nothing really caught my attention.   The lady who helped me was super nice.   I placed my order and just looked around a bit.   It seemed like they had a lot of door dash orders and regulars.  People were mostly ordering their coffees and iced drinks. We had: Bagel Sandwich - scrambled egg with cheese and bacon.  My husband loved it, but I thought it was just plain.  Nothing made it stand out.  I feel like it would have tasted better with like a chipotle aioli or just something that gave it more flavor. Croissant breakfast sandwich - I was disappointed in this one.   We got the sandwich, and the croissant was smashed.   The sandwich just tasted greasy like it would've been better if you just ate the croissant separate with egg and bacon like on plate. I feel like I could've made the stuff at home, and it would've tasted way better.   The muffins looked like the usual where they got it from Costco.   I'm all about supporting local businesses, but I don't think I'll be back.   I can't really say I'd recommend it,  maybe try and let me know what you think

When I ordered I asked if the were going to cook my French toast in butter and the gal at the counter asked the mgr and she said yes!? The French toast was disgusting and soggy! There was no butter used and Im not even sure they dipped them in an egg batter. Horrible however my brother seemed to like the potatoes and omelet he ordered.

Google
What a great way to start the day with a nice ham and cheese omelette $10.50 from Fog City Cafe. They used sliced ham as supposed to diced ham with a lot of cheese. The wheat toast is not buttered. The star of this dish for me was the seasoned potatoes. The chef did a good job with my omelette and I didn't feel too full to go back to sleep. Staff is friendly and I love how clean the restaurant is. Good job everyone at Fog City Cafe.

Yelp
Came here March 15 around 11 AM, and the place was packed and poppin'. A kind man took my order, and it looks like it was just him and a girl working the front. They were running back and forth and HUSTLING! My food took a bit longer to come out but you have like 4 employees taking and making 20+ orders. Honestly, they could staff the place a little more. I waited patiently, and I didn't mind. Management, please make sure they get paid well because they handled it with such professionalism and efficiency. I would come here just to support the business alone...but let's get to the FOOD. The food is on point. It's comforting and delicious. I have tried the egg panini and tuna melt here and both times, they did not disappoint. The lattes are always strong, and you can't go wrong with them. Overall, it's a good price as well and a lot cheaper than the other cafes around the area. The interior is also cute and very clean.

Yelp
Got the Buffalo chicken sandwich. A little spicy but delicious. Their coffee options are also pretty small but all premium flavor. Service was decently quick for the size of their staff. Seating area was quiet when we went so there was plenty of spots to sit at but if going during a busy time, it for sure would be hard to find a spot to sit at, as it's a pretty small location. Overall great place for breakfast/ brunch.

Yelp
I have been here about 4 times since 2019. The food and coffee is great. I've tried the baleadas and enchiladas, and they've been really good. The staff are nice. However, it can get pretty busy.

Mae L.

Yelp
It's a small little cafe, music was good, food was also good. Since they opened, I've been hesitant to try it because it doesn't look like much people come here. One day, I just didn't want to drive far or anything like that so I decided to take my chances here. I definitely will come back again, even if I needed a place to study/work this place would be perfect.
google avatar

Yelp
Great spot for a quick breakfast! I order to go because we had a busy morning and the food was still warm when I picked it up. This was my first time trying a Baleada definitely worth your money if you're on a tighter budget. You get a bite of egg, bean, cheese that's really filling .

Yelp
Great family oriented, café, clean, and relaxing. Great food and coffee nice atmosphere also.

Yelp
Once upon a time (give or take 2-3 years ago), this charming and cozy lil cafe with the cool artwork peppering the walls and the engaging tunes pumping from the speakers used to be a pleasant place to walk into early in the morning. not sure what happened between then and my most recent visit a few weeks ago but it was pretty disappointing in that tables were left unwiped and littered with food chunks and my go-to egg panini was rendered into something mid from its formerly lofty place of sublime breakfast sandwiches. the sauce in the panini wasn't as piquant, the bread less pillowy, my hot cocoa was barely lukewarm and the service was just as perfunctory. I'll have to re-visit and hope it all changes because it used to be such a local hidden gem.

Yelp
What a lovely place- lunch was great. On a busy street but you'd never know it.. . Nice melodies playing just loud enough to be relaxing. Several other diners- all having something that looks tasty. One little boy saying Mama, Mama waiting for a to go order. Makes me smile- he's a cutie. It comes out quickly- off they go. A neighborhood place, not much parking but amazingly we find a space. Lots of choices-several other salads and many breakfast choices. Lots of coffees and drinks to choose. Clean, friendly, healthy food... they"ve been open 4 years! I have to come back.

Yelp
It seems like they don't really care about the reviews, but hopefully, the owner or manager reads this and takes steps to improve. When we got there (this was our first time, and honestly, I don't know how they have a 4.5-star review on Yelp), the server clearly saw us standing by the door but chose to ignore us. Even after we asked if we should order from the front, she walked right past us. We figured things out ourselves and went to the register. She still ignored us, even though she didn't appear busy with other orders. My husband had to say "excuse me" three times before she acknowledged us. When we finally placed our order, I could barely hear her as she was speaking so quietly. While I can overlook that, the lack of basic courtesy was disappointing. The tables weren't cleaned either--there were straw wrappers left from previous customers. The service was slow as well, so I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're in a hurry. As for the food, it was just okay. It arrived a little on the cold side, and I wish the French toast was warmer. It was very dry, and somehow even the Nutella topping was dry, which I didn't think was possible. I won't be returning, but it seems like the neighbors appreciate this place. Hopefully, they improve for their regulars.

Yelp
Surprised by how cute place was inside. The baleada was hearty. Homemade flour tortilla is really good. Scrambled eggs with bacon and cheddar were ok. Service was good.

Jo M.

Yelp
Coffee was great I just went to get an easy breakfast and a coffee the first time and man the food was so much better than expected. The space is small with not a lot of seating but I've never had to much of an issue finding a spot to sit and eat. Definitely a little hole in the wall but I now go over there often especially when I have company for a simple low key morning breakfast and coffee when I don't want a full dining out experience. Have been coming back and will continue to

Yelp
My GF and I have been coming to this café, ever since we moved in together. It's been a cool spot to eat while working or job searching or writing... My GF and I tried some of their dishes. My favorite has got to be that Avocado Toast with eggs, that my GF first ordered, with a side of their house potatoes. My GF really liked their Couscous salad. She loved the dressing and the different textures. I'm not a fan of Couscous but I was surprised that it tasted good in a salad. I'm not a salad girlie...but this salad I could definitely stomach down. Another one of our favorites is the Baleada. I mean, what's not to like in that: the gooey cheese, beans, scrambled eggs, chorizo. The drinks are also good. Our go-to's are any of the lattes with oat milk. I think the real reason why we like them is because of their service. The staff are really nice and take their time to answer all your questions. I see how they interact with other customers. They are quick to clean and set the table for the next person. Their space isn't that big but can hold a lot of people; they accommodated a table of 11 the last time we went. And there is even a little couch in the front side of the café. I recommend this spot to a group of friends who want to catch up, the person who wants to buy a drink, sit down and read or even a family who wants to have some good food in a place that feels so homey. This place deserves five stars, for sure.

Yelp
The service was alright but the food was just terrible. my bacon was literally black and hard not even able to bite into. the french toast was slimy, the eggs were overcooked. terrible experience. the best thing was the oatmeal. 4/10

Yelp
Decided to chill here while waiting for my mom to arrive at SFO on an early morning. Pretty standard cafe mocha (straightforward taste). First time having a baleada. Really liked the tortilla, which was soft and hearty. The scrambled eggs and refried beans made the baleada quite a satiating breakfast. The cashier lady was super sweet. As several other Yelpers have mentioned, parking is on the street and finding a spot is a bit dicey. Overall nothing really groundbreaking but still such a nice little cozy cafe with friendly vibes for locals to enjoy. Rating: 4-ish stars rounded up!

Yelp
Cute coffee shop for breakfast dates, saw a lot of customers here for a weekday morning! Street parking is available outside of the cafe or you can park in the neighborhoods nearby, just be mindful to the residents Food here is like comfort food and hits the spot! I also got a horchata frappe which I enjoyed. Prices are reasonable. Staff at this cafe are attentive and very nice! I recommend this cafe to those looking for a down to earth, casual breakfast spot.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday afternoon and we ordered to go since there weren't any seats. We waited about 20 minutes for our food. I got the American Omelette which was a ham and cheese omelette with a side salad. This was honestly one of the worst omelettes I've had unfortunately as the cheese wasn't melted and the eggs weren't fluffy at all. They had a weird rubbery texture and there was only 1 piece of ham in the omelette. The salad wasn't great; the vinaigrette was the only thing I tasted from it. Overall I didn't have a great experience here and probably won't be coming back.

Yelp
Excellent food and drinks at great prices! Everything is tasty and fresh with healthy choices and ample quantities of food to feel satisfied. Kick-a$$ coffee, and delightfully creamy lattes and frappes. Wonderful breakfast foods, sandwiches, and salads with vegetarian selections
google avatar

Yelp
If you want a quiet, simple breakfast with great service, this is a wonderful little spot! It's very cozy inside, and you order at the cash register. The staff was super kind and helpful, and our breakfasts were delicious. I recommend if you want a more chill and lowkey breakfast!
google avatar

Yelp
Great ambience, nice music, 10 tables, counter and large window looking out. Small sitting area for to-go orders. Large Menu, French toast breakfast looks great- they have a "demo" example. Chose the tuna melt sandwich with salad (fries available)- great tasting seasoned tuna na, sandwich topped with cheese - 2 open face pieces the and salad fills the plate. Looks nice, tastes great. Latte was rich creamy, just the right amount of foam, large cup. Now: I'm Full and happy. I will be back.

Yelp
So... I'm not being mean... the girl was sweet but couldn't hear her just terribly shy ... The food was below standard. American omelet thin egg and deli ham and cheese sliced thin. Coffee drip was bitter and not good and no refills . The potatoes were good. But will not be coming back
google avatar

Yelp
Have come here a couple of times but finally had the time to review this place! Great, wholesome food here and not too expensive. This time I got one of their sandwiches that was on special, a buffalo chicken sandwich that was ~$13. It came with a side salad but I also got a side of potatoes ($4.50). The sandwich was well done: bread was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The chicken was well seasoned and worked well with the buffalo sauce. The potatoes were a little mushy, but overall had a great smoky taste. I'd definitely come back to try some more of their breakfast items!
google avatar

mario w.

Yelp
They are really nice. The music was groovy. Unfortunately, the food was not very good. It was the work of an amateur. The ham ... was low quality. The bacon was the stuff you don't actually cook ... it's pre-cooked. The potatoes lacked flavor and were not crisped. They messed up my order. Unfortunately, instead of owning the mistake and putting the corrected order at the front of the line ... they did nothing. Three people in the party got food ... one waited 40 minutes. I really wish this place was better.

Yelp
Studied here for a couple hours on a Sunday. Street parking was full so I just parked at a lot nearby and walked over. Their Fog City Salad was really yummy and good soy latte. The staff were super friendly and the service was great. Very cute cafe! Lots of foot traffic and many people enjoying their meals. Great experience! Would highly recommend!
google avatar

Cory D.

Yelp
I had Nutella pancakes and a coffee which were good. Came out to $20ish. A bit pricey for a sac boy like me till I saw other places were more for less. So, not as expensive as other breakfasts in the Bay Area, but also a no-fills but comfortable place to eat. Cozy atmosphere, had a few tables to sit at. Was clean. Service was pretty normal, you order first and they set it out when ready or bring to you. I bussed my own table but didn't need to.

Yelp
My favorite cafe in Daly City, hands down. I love coming here for the baleada (the only place where I know to get one in this area) and the hazelnut latte! -Baleada: 5/5 - Eggs, sour cream, chorizo, sour cream, and cheese. This is a must get. The homemade taste of tortillas really brings everything together. I love putting the hot sauce on mine, making it mildly spicy and giving it enough of a little kick. One can fill me up really well, but if I am really hungry I get two. -Hazelnut latte: 5/5 - Not overly sweet, tastes like nutella and hot chocolate had a baby. Perfect for a cold, foggy Daly City day. -The Scrambled: 4.5/5 - Eggs scrambled with a variety of items. I order this when I want something more substantial, but it doesn't come with its own sauce so I use the hot sauce on it. The potatoes it is served with are seasoned well and are crispy. Parking is kinda tough in this area, and I end up going to the walgreens across the street if I cannot find street parking. There are a good amount of tables and wifi, its quiet enough to get a study session in and has a homey atmosphere with friendly staff.

Yelp
Came here mid day Monday. Seems like a chill place but took over 20 minutes to complete my to go order. Slow service but still not sure about the food. Its still not ready....
google avatar

Natalie R.

Yelp
Wouldn't rush back. It was a tad disorganized and though slow, all the tables were dirty. Very average and otherwise unremarkable. Food was very basic, coffee not great. Toast came out dry and server looked confused when I asked for butter. Had to ask for silverware and wait with good on the table while it was brought out. Also we ordered to eat in but they gave us paper cups, while others received a glass mug, hmm. Everyone was pleasant but it wasn't enough to bring me back.

Yelp
Great little coffee shop, amazing food and of course great coffee and Super friendly staff! I highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Yelp
Visiting my friend in Daly City, needed to grab some coffee, went on Yelp and saw that this was rated 4.5 stars, it needs to be rated 5 stars. The Cafe has brunch items as well like crepes, but once I saw that it was Latino owned, I KNEW they would have typical Latino breakfast items, which is always a win in my book. I love supporting Latino owned businesses. The gentleman who helped me was very fast and very efficient, the cafe itself is chill. They have some outside seating but not too much, it is more of a sit inside and eat but you can take food to go or your coffee to go.
google avatar

Rocio G.

Yelp
I agree with one of the reviews that the cashier speaks very softly and very hard to understand. My daughter ordered pancakes and they were literally falling apart and tasted weird. I ordered the avocado toast and it was a piece of bread with three sliced cherry tomatoes, and a whole avocado, barely sliced. I will not be coming back to this place.
google avatar

Rebekah T.

Yelp
Chose this place based on the highly rated reviews, I almost didn't even want to order here after getting such bad customer service from the cashier with a tattoo on her neck. I asked her if she could change a dollar for the meter outside and instead of saying no sorry, she went off on how that's her bosses' policy. I asked if she could change out quarters from the tip jar and no, those are their tips. You know dollars are tips too? When I asked her if she could make us an exception so we could eat inside, she told us we could also take our food to go. Excuse me? The menu is forgettable, basic items for breakfast and lunch. I ordered something to share with my baby, my mom and my boyfriend. We all ordered drinks, but apparently she didn't catch my mom's latte and was super rude and defensive about us not ordering it. Ok, well - we want one. Instead of blaming customers, you could just take some customer service lessons and just ring one up. Service was terrible, we ordered our food and sat down. Our drinks were never given to us, we had to ask for them after our food arrived. We felt so uncomfortable. In addition to all this, the food was super greasy and gathered at the bottom. I didn't want to even finish or feed it to my kid after seeing it. Picture uploaded... Sorry folks, this is not a five star review spot.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop with seating. I came here with friends to hang out and get together. It was a nice time with good coffee and good food. I tried their baleada and it was good. Hoping to revisit soon!

Yelp
Small self serve place, simple menu for breakfast or light lunxh. Homey feel. and one or two people doing aervice . Place is clean and I appreciated the eggs, while waiting for my car.

Yelp
Still love this place. The baleadas are delicious, their lattes are perfection. They have some of the most delicious breakfast potatoes ever. Staff is always super friendly. A really nice spot in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Unless you live nearby, I'm not sure I'd characterize Daly City as a strollable town. My knowledge has been limited to what I could see out of the SFO BART train or what fast food I might be eating at Westlake. But recently out of sheer madness, I found myself strolling on this stretch of Mission just to get the steps. Fortunately just as I was getting peckish, I stumbled into this small inviting cafe. Doubtful it had any relation with the late, lamented Fog City Diner, I truly had never heard of this spot, so I had no expectations. Upon first glance, the menu veered from French toast to Latin specialties to sandwiches and salads. The manager was very courteous and patient as took it all in. I decided to go for the $9.50 Fog City Salad which combined romaine, cherry tomatoes, corn, cucumber, beets, almonds, and feta cheese tossed in a unique apple dressing (photo: https://bit.ly/3ybDs5H). Even though I would've been thrilled with nutella-slathered pancakes, I knew I made the right choice. Now I know a spot in Daly City worthy of a return visit. FOOD - 4 stars...a fine fresh salad AMBIANCE - 4 stars...clean and simple with a bit of third world art SERVICE - 5 stars...the best part of my meal here TOTAL - 4 stars...worth seeking out if you're anywhere near these parts RELATED - Exploring the peninsula south of SF! Here's a collection of places I've visited and reviewed: https://bit.ly/2Ipr9eq

Yelp
One of the best coffee spot in the neighborhood. Good to be back in the bay for all their food spots.
google avatar

Pstephan A.

Yelp
Still one of the best lunch spots in San Francisco. The wedge shaped restaurant sits along the Embarcadero with awesome views from both sides of the restaurant, perfect for watching San Francisco life. The interiors has a modern Tahoe Lake (not lodge) decor with a San Francisco vibe. The staff are friendly and attentive. Not your typical diner food you'll find cold tasty oysters on the menu with a host of other delicious flavors and dishes. The Star is the awesome V shaped Bar! Perfect for solo lunch eating or meet someone new to groups. Order a drink for me! Recommend and we will be back!

Yelp
A cafe like this is a gem in Daly City so I'm glad to have this place here. I think the downside is parking can be challenging here but it's near the Muni bus stop and a lot of walkers here. I've tried their coffee drinks which were good. Baleadas is a good surprise. Customer service is good. It's a cute neighborhood place that people should support.
google avatar

Jo Anne S.

Yelp
If you're in a hurry for food, don't go here. Wait time is very long and they don't advise you for any updates. Waited 40 minutes. Past my order due time only find out they were out of orange juice and that held up my order. Terrible terrible terrible service.
google avatar

Karen B.

Yelp
Food is absolutely delicious. Staff are lovely people. We're so glad we found it. That says it all but Yelp says I have to use a minimum of 85 characters.
google avatar

Michelle Y.

Yelp
Great spot for breakfast! You will have to find street parking per usual in the city of SF. I tried the bagel sandwich with egg and a vanilla latte. Perfect combo! This seems like the go to spot for many locals picking up an order on the go. We are inside as there is plenty of seating. Overall, friendly staff, quick service, tasty food.
google avatar

Lauren M.

Yelp
Really cute neighborhood spot! Cozy interior, friendly staff, and generous portions of good food! The potatoes that came with my avocado toast were especially exceptional, tender and flavorful throughout. Perfect place to stop in on a lazy, casual Sunday in Crocker / Outer Mission. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Visiting my friend who just moved to Daly City and we were looking for a coffee shop in walking distance of her place. Stumbled across Fog City Cafe and we are now making this a regular place to visit. The service was great, and the food came out fast and warm. We got the French toast, Egg Panini, and Bagel Sandwich and they did not disappoint. In her words the French toast was the best she had had and better than any restaurant charging double for a half portion. Our drinks were fantastic as well. We definitely will be returning

Yelp
This place is wonderful! I was honestly only seeking a cup of coffee, but the place smelled so good so I got a breakfast bagel. It was cheesy. The coffee is creamy, yummy. The staff is wonderful! All is at a very good price ! I would give 6 stars if I could lol
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
Great service and portion sizes. Food tasted great and reasonably priced! Small space but we were lucky enough someone was leaving as we came in and had three people.
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered a Ginger thyme juice, mocha and baleadas. This is a sweet small cafe that looks like a place locals love to come. The front has a comfy couch and bar seating across the street window. The radio was playing Al Green and Aretha Franklin. Their prices are great, the food and drink are delicious. The people who work here are lovely. They don't do the sugary customer service voice. A genuinely sweet spot.

Yelp
Food and service were outstanding!! We all loved this place on a foggy morning. Will return when we visit again.

Yelp
This place is truly a hidden gem! I thoroughly enjoyed the American Omelette - delicious and generously portioned. The hazelnut latte was a perfect balance, not overly sweet. Affordable prices add to the appeal.
