I was visiting one of my favorite wineries, Balletto, when they recommended that I check out Fog Crest down the road. Fog Crest opened after I had already moved out of the Bay Area, so I had never visited this spot before. Overall, I'm grateful for the recommendation, and will definitely be hitting this spot up when I'm in the area.
Finding this spot can be a bit difficult, as the font color on their sign isn't terribly distinctive, so GPS is your friend for finding the correct entrance.
Once you're in the tasting room, you'll find big windows with lots of natural light, a couple small sofa seats, as well as a small bar area. If the weather is warm, most people might opt to plant themselves in one of the patio seats, which boasts some beautiful vineyard views (see the many yelp photos already posted of said views).
The tasting was $10, and offered 4 wines (though we could revisit some) as well as some delicious bread and olive oil. If you're in the mood for extra snackage, the menu also offered a cheese plate for purchase. Our tasting had 2 chards and 2 pinot noirs, though it looks like they sometimes also offer a rose(?).
If you find yourself in the area, definitely check it out! With the friendly service, good wines, and lovely views, you'll be glad you did.
