New England’s Best Vegan and Vegan-Friendly Restaurants | Eater Boston

"An upcoming full-service restaurant evolving from a high-end, meatless tasting-menu pop-up into a relaxed yet refined spot emphasizing seasonal vegetables and house-made pasta. Expect signature filled pastas (such as ones with squash purée finished with sage butter, cranberry, and toasted pecan), as well as flatbreads, an expanded dessert program, and a curated selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks; the project aims to bring the same meticulous attention to detail to a downtown Bristol setting." - Stasia Brewczynski

My fiancé and I have been dining at Foglia since we started dating in 2023 and each experience is somehow better than the last. This restaurant is a vegan haven for lovers of Italian food. What’s more is the service! From the hostess to the servers, each employee makes its guests feel like you are at home. Come to Bristol and join the Foglia family!

Google
Foglia is a spectacular plant based casual fine dining experience. Chef Pete and his team brilliantly create each dish. Each time we dine here we find ourselves exchanging silent but knowing glances across the table in awe of the pure artistry and flavors that we experience. It’s love and joy and compassion with every bite.

Google
Visiting the area and had the most wonderful meal at Foglia. Everything about it was wonderful from calling and making a reservation and having Linda make me feel so welcomed and excited for us to come to arriving and getting what felt like royal treatment and unbelievably delicious food. They have really gone all out with attention to detail here. It’s not often you find a restaurant that has dialed in all aspects: ambiance, food and service. But this place has it all and does it well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Google
OMG! Run don't walk here for one of the most incredible meals you could have. Vegan or non vegan you will be blown away by what can only be described as pure artistry on a plate. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful in selecting the perfect combination of dishes.

Google
This restaurant is amazing! We came up from Brooklyn to go to RI VegFest and made sure to get a reservation here before we went. Everything was delicious and the staff, including the chef/owner, are great! Fresh homemade pasta is delicious (whether you're vegan or not). Husband said that his lions mane mushroom filet's gravy was amazing and the tenderness of the mushroom melted in his mouth.

Google
Celebrated my dad’s 85th birthday at Foglia. The food and service was wonderful. It was a pleasure working with Linda on the menu and It was awesome to have the opportunity to be able to reserve the entire restaurant. Hailey’s carrot cake was a 12/10! ❤️

We can only explain our experience at Foglia as amazing. We drove an hour and half to be met with the best in service, a welcome from Chef Peter and food that can only be described with a wow after every bite. Our drinks were delicious and every single course including dessert had depth and beauty in every way possible. Truly amazing experiences are hard to find, Foglia is one of them. We will be back!! Well done Foglia!! Here's to your continued success! Cheers

Google
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Everything was prepared freshly and plated exquisitely. The homemade pasta was perfectly cooked, And the peppered, roasted mushrooms were as good as any steak tip I’ve ever tasted. Truly cannot recommend this place enough. At the end of our meal, Chef visited the table and you could tell how much love and passion he put into the operation of this restaurant. A really special place.

Yelp
We've been trying to get here since the place opened, and we are glad we finally tried them - now they're on our list of great sit down places, and they're occasion-worthy. We had no trouble getting a sidewalk reservation, and I could see the water from our table. Having outdoor seating is a big plus. Staff was the perfect level of attentive without being obtrusive. There are a lot of great options on the menu, and it's nice to be able to choose from any of them. I knew I wanted the lion's mane as soon as I saw that it was still available, and I did not regret that at all. It was excellent; different from any other time I had had this mushroom, and heavenly. The online menu and in-person paper one were slightly different, but it didn't bother us. My other half enjoyed the eggplant meatballs and the BBQ tempeh (which seemed made for him - he loves smoky flavors). The amuse bouche was much more delicious than it had any right to be, and we had never had whipped vegan feta before - we would have eaten this with a spoon. The little dessert meringue was perfect, too. It was a very special, yet efficient and comfortable, meal. We were left eager to return. I hope our next occasion finds the corn pasta dish still on the menu! Having lunch hours again would usually make it easier for us to get there. We will, no matter what! We thoroughly loved Foglia.

Yelp
Foglia is, without question, one of our favorite go to's. One of the most telling signs of its quality? Roughly 80% of the diners aren't vegan at all. They're here because the food is that good. The owner is also the chef, clearly the menu is created by someone who genuinely loves the craft and knows exactly how to surprise and delight. Whether you're vegan, plant-curious, or simply someone who appreciates good food, chill atmosphere without having to scream to hear your guests over a noisy, crowded room....this is your place. A true gem of a neighborhood feel in Bristol.

Yelp
I think our third visit but the first for our neighbor - her first vegetarian restaurant. Food was great; service swell; and the chef was out chatting. Clear winner was the zucchini blossoms. Entrees were all winners - lions mane mushroom filet, eggplant katzu, and hearts of palm "crab" cake. Only dud was the panna cotta. Damages for 3 with 3 appetizers, 3 cocktails, and 3 glasses of wine + tip was $300. Go - enjoy!

Yelp
I have been longing to try this restaurant, Foglia, as I was interested in trying vegan options for a change. So I had the chef's tasting menu (heirloom tomato and cucumber, with a basil aïoli, and char focaccia ; seared zucchini, with an eggplant, purée, and vodka sauce, and pangrattato; cornmeal fried local oyster mushrooms with some sauerkraut; triangle pasta with white bean purée and a pepper sauce; and for dessert, a plum clafoutis with plum purée and plum whip!) the presentation was spectacular, every dish, colorful, and appetizing , and crafted with love! The wine pairing was perfectly balanced and did not disappoint! Everything was over the top, delicious!! Service was excellent and I can't wait to go back again! A hidden gem in Bristol!

Yelp
First time at Foglia, but not the last! Boy, don't you just love it when you visit a new city (hello, Bristol, RI) and stumble upon an amazing restaurant! Our day trip on Saturday was not filled with just bike riding, walking, and shopping. It was also filled with exploring a James Beard Foundation Semi-Finalist for Best Chef Northeast. So of course, I was super excited to check it out. Ambiance: We didn't have reservations but were seated at the small bar. I think it had roughly 9 comfy seats. The place is gorgeous, simple yet sophisticated. The restaurant is on the smaller side but that is okay since it makes for more of an intimate dining experience. And, it's also quiet and with nice background music. Hello, date night! Service: We were greeted by our bartender Dimitri who was very nice, and fun and offered a few menu suggestions since it was our first time here. Everyone seemed extremely knowledgeable and passionate about working there which is always nice to see. Food: They had a pretty decent Vegan/Vegetarian menu to choose from. Not overly intimidating like some restaurants and has a good mix of a lot of different options. From starters to entrees and then dessert, there was something for everyone. I started with a martini and then their Foglia Salad which was very simple yet fresh. They source from local farms and make their Foccacia in-house. I love it since I always want to support local and to me it also means "healthier" without a lot of pesticides, additives, etc. My husband got their bean dip which was on the larger side but it also was so good that we both finished it LOL. For entrees, I ordered their Fusilli Affumicati which had some eggplant in it. It was a bit overcooked but very delicate and light. My hubby had their Cacio e Pepe Spaghetti. This was my favorite. We finished with a Pumpkin Martini and Chocolate Mousse Cake. We were so full after. I needed a nap! Summary: Foglia is a one-of-a-kind restaurant experience. From the beautiful interior to the service and spectacular and innovative food, it is a must to dine here. Especially being able to see what a James Beard Semi-Finalist is up to in the kitchen. It was a pleasure meeting the Chef after our experience. He came out to say hello to some of his guests. He was so nice and humble. Foglia is Fantastic and I can't wait to go back and try their tasting menu. I highly recommend booking this for your next spot. It's worth the drive for sure! Cheers!

Yelp
The host and the waiter were both very friendly and quite attentive. The restaurant itself is small and cozy, perfect for a winter evening. As for the food, wow. The focaccia bread was outrageously delicious, dense and soft and very fragrant. The potato leek soup was outstanding, and the cauliflower dish was equally amazing. And I would be remiss if I did not specifically call out the bartender who made a couple of amazing cocktails. My wife and I are definitely coming back, top-notch experience.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food. The fact that it's both vegan and 100% nut free is the first time I've been able to relax while eating and not worry about any of my allergies (eggs and almonds). Neither my husband nor I is vegan, and he was a little unsure of what to expect. His mind was blown. (I've been following them since they were Twelve Plants pop up and have always loved their food!) The menu items are so thoughtful and creative and delicious - like, seared roman artichoke hearts with black olive CARAMEL. Who thinks of that? I also love that they have mocktail options as my husband doesn't drink and I'm 8mo pregnant. The servers are all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Fun fact: Foglia is leaf in Italian - and you'll notice a leaf motif if you look around! (Plus, obviously, a nod to the vegan lifestyle.) I wholeheartedly recommend!

Yelp
Another incredible tasting menu dinner at Foglia. Every course knocked it out of the park!

Yelp
I made a reservation for three people on a Thursday night at 5 o'clock. One of the people in my party thought it was for 6 o'clock. They were going to accommodate us at the bar at 6 o'clock since they didn't have any tables at 5 o'clock. While I was talking on the phone with the other members of my party, and there was no one in the restaurant except one couple. When I got off the phone and I said to the owner of the place we would sit at the bar at 6 o'clock Apparently I was talking too loud because she shushed me! Needless to say, I told her to cancel our reservation and that I was never told to be quiet ever in a restaurant! And I am almost 80 years old! Didn't get to taste the food, but I will never go back there.

Yelp
A true Celebration of Spring at @fogliabristol featuring Perigord Truffles! Every dish absolutely delights, experimental and playful, yet so intentional, balanced and executed to perfection. - Amuse Bouche was a house made truffle foccacia crispy perfection with savory truffle butter - Beet Carpaccio was stunning, so fresh and bright sweetness of the beets and vinaigrette paired with tangy coconut yogurt. My husband's favorite. - Roasted Cauliflower soup is so velvety and beautifully seasoned. One of my father in laws favorites. - Spinach and Artichoke dip with naan was so decadent and savory. - Trangoli was one of my favorites, every pasta dish from Foglia is Hope to take a pasta class with Chef Pete and Linda. - Asparagus Puff Pastry with a hollandaise with a delightful kick was incredible, my mother in law's favorite. - The blood orange sorbet was a unique and refreshing intermission - Loved the swiss chard rolls with truffle rice and truffle aioli, which was so fun and delicious. Loved the creative take using swiss chard over seaweed! - The polenta was soo creamy and decadent with a delightful pea topping which had a really fresh flavor and fun texture. - Last but not least, an incredible vanilla panna cotta with strawberry coulis. So light, yet creamy and bright from the coulis, one of my favorite desserts and a perfect finish. We honestly really couldn't come up with favorites because we loved each dish! We also enjoyed our Smitten Mittens, Winter Solstice mocktails and Blood Orange Martini, Woah Blackberry Bam la jam martini, Delmonico cocktails, Earl Grey tea, and espresso. Beautiful pottery by @theveganpotter. Thank you Chef Pete @carvcom, Chef Max, Sous Chefs Hailey @veganunknownri and Chris @chrisbragel, Pastry Chef Piper @pipermcaloon.pastry , Linda @lindacarvelli , and Foglia team for this collaborative menu and another incredible #Fogliaexperience

Yelp
In Rhode Island, this is the best fine dining vegan experience you'll get. The entire menu is vegan. Think modern Italian, not American Italian. The chef got nominated for a James Beard award, so getting a reservation will get more difficult soon. I got the expressotini while the wife got the sangria. Mocktails were innovative and inexpensive. The drinks were incredible and well priced. Both of us did the chef tasting menu. The snacks blew us away aka amuse bouche. The rest of the dishes were good to great, but not incredible. Some dishes came out 20 to 25 minutes after we finished the previous one. We really enjoyed talking to the hostess, aka the chef's wife and co-owner. We also shared our feedback on how they could improve. In comparison to higher end vegan fare in providence or similar restaurants in Manhattan, NYC, we expected more for the price. We DID enjoy ourselves and the food. Just think they can grow into their role as they have zero competition in this state outside of providence. Wish them all the success!

Yelp
What an extraordinary experience! From the impeccable waitstaff to the outstanding cuisine, this gem is a dream come true for vegetarians and those living gluten-free lifestyles. We started with the chickpea fries with garlic aoli and beet ketchuo for the table and an order of the fresh-baked focaccia (not GF) paired with the butter flight. Oh, that butter flight! The smoky onion jam butter especially was so unforgettable, we'll be dreaming about it for many moons to come. The entrees were equally impressive--perfectly portioned and bursting with flavor and texture. Three of us indulged in the pasta, (spaghetti with pesto, Fazzoletti e Funghi and Radiatore Lungo Puttanesca) while our GF family member opted for the Lion's Mane Mushroom Filet. Each dish was so enticing, we found ourselves sneaking bites from one another's plates just to savor the creative and delicious combinations. We really enjoyed meeting the chef as he circulated among the tables toward the end of our meal. What a pleasure meeting a James Beard-recognized chef and being able to thank him for the wonderful experience! I cannot wait to return to this restaurant and share the discovery with friends! A word of advice: make a reservation! The space is elegant, modern, inviting and *small*!

Lisa d.

Yelp
I'll start with the fact that my husband and I are both not vegetarian and left fully satisfied and wowed after our dinner. Everything was delicious. The fresh made pasta and focaccia were fantastic! Service was impeccable. Thank you for a great dinner.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible restaurant!!! We are carnivores and never once did I miss meat... the dishes were SPECTACULAR ... one of the best meals I have ever had, Service was equally perfect, can't to return ... we drive 2.5 hrs to fine here and it's absolutely worth the trip!!!

Yelp
Excellent, Impressive, Tasty, Creative, Original. Can't wait to come back. We got the tasting menu and also ordered an additional main dish. The tempeh dish was outstanding. Everything was excellent. BIG WOW. I am vegan for 50 years. I go to every vegan restaurant I can. I've never seen anything like this. Give this chef 10 stars. He's on his own level. Service and ambiance match the excellence of the food.

Yelp
A month after my review and email to Chef, with no formal response from him, he announced that he is discontinuing Brunch. It will not be missed.

Yelp
my husband and i celebrate our birthdays in a restaurants. We've been celebrating in rhode Island for 4years. None of the restaurants we've tried never celebrate ours even though we mentioned it at the reservations. This restaurant was not like others , they even prepared a card for me on our table !! i was blown away. the server was very present and attentive, making sure we enjoy the every meal. This was the first try so we tried the course . I have a sensitivity to salt so I mentioned if they can leave extra salt. i understand that marinated ones can't do anything to change it, but they omitted as much as they can which was not added salty cheese. Over all, I enjoyed the most was pasta dish , i could eat 3time amount of it! yum yum If you want to celebrate your birthday special or someone special, this place will make it happen! if you have no ideas about vegan , definitely try.

Yelp
On Sunday we went to brunch I have been wanting to try this plant based restaurant for a while. I am not a vegetarian or vegan but even as a meat eater I really enjoyed all the food at this restaurant. I was so surprised at how much flavor the tofu eggs and plant based chicken had. The Po Boy had a perfect crunch and taste. And the baked rosemary potatoes were cooked perfectly! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and head chef, Peter. He was extremely nice and welcoming. I love having the chance to compliment the chef at amazing restaurants. I can't wait to go back and try dinner !!!
google avatar

Pamela P.

Yelp
Our first visit to Foglia. Will we go again? My husband ordered the not so crab ( being a vegan restaurant) patty with rosemary potatoes- oh sorry no rosemary potatoes available hummm we ponder . Keep in mind this menu is small and I assume adapted and changed regularly ( I could be wrong) so you don't have what's listed? Option the homemade potato chips. Revise our choice to the mushroom Reuben ( photo included). This came with the homemade potato chips!?! Chips again I ponder ... these are fried but not crispy more flimsy oil soaked potato slices. This did not make me happy as I am an at home potato chip maker nice and crispy so this was a definite let down. The Reuben sandwich was tasty but had a very heavy smoked flavor maybe a bit much smoke. Upon attempting to pick up my sandwich, hidden on the reverse side on the plate my bread was not a whole slice but broken in two pieces making the sandwich impossible to hold. I ate my sandwich with a fork and knife weird for a " sandwich "! So I am unsure if we will make a second attempt. The restaurant is small and cozy. The waitstaff was cold and unwelcoming. A waitstaff without personality leaves one wondering why you would want the job. The chef came out to see how our food was but I didn't have the heart to complain while in close proximity of other tables. So I simply said fine.

Dan G.

Yelp
At a time when many restaurants are staffed by disinterested staff, the folks at Foglia show pride and engagement. And they have a lot to be proud of. Exceptional food and drink.

Miguel A.

Yelp
The service was great and the wait staff was very attentive and accommodating/patient, with cheerful dispositions (it made for a comfortable 'vibe'). The food was delicious (that Focaccia bread was seasoned to perfection!), served nice and hot with great presentation. The ambiance was very nice. We chose to eat inside and the subtle lighting and LED lamp lights set a special mood. Would definitely recommend and frequent again!
google avatar

Thomas F.

Yelp
Food quality, attention to detail with presentation, creativity of menu, ambience, professionalism, yet kindness, and relational skills of the staffing ALL EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS!!!!! 5 Stars. 2 Thumbs up. Will be back again and again!!! Highly recommend!! Chef Pete introduced himself, checked in with us, made a personal connection creating a very warm and welcoming environment! Outstanding experience.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic plant based eatery in downtown Bristol! Visited with a friend to enjoy a variety of small plates. I would go back to try the tasting menu as well as for a regular dinner out. Service was great - the waitstaff is friendly and attentive. Everything we tried was outstanding. We ordered the soup, beer roses, chickpea fries, tofu piccata, and cheesecake.

Yelp
Vegan has never really been my thing, but my wife and I decided to give this a try. Our first impression was that the space is gorgeous; really nice lighting and decor and a beautiful bar. Staff was welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable from the outset. It is a fine dining experience and the wine offerings were good, and different from anything else being offered around town. We had arancini as an appetizer and it was very nice. My wife had the pizza and it was delicious. I had the fennel 'sausage' dish served on polenta with some tomato sauce. It was fine, though this meat lover was not wowed by the substitute; it needed a bit more moisture and flavoring for me, though I realize that tastes differ. We agree we will be back soon. Overall I was very impressed and would recommend it to anyone.

Pamela B.

Yelp
We've gone twice and can't wait to go back. The first time we sat at the bar. The drinks were creative and tasty. I had the Cacio e Pepe and honestly - it was the best pasta dish I've ever ordered at a restaurant. I have been thinking about it ever since. My husband didn't believe me when I told him the entire meal was vegan so I had to call over the bartender to confirm for him. He is a meat eater but is happy to eat vegan if the food is great and he kept asking to go back. The second time we sat outside because we had our small dog with us. The hostess and waitress were very kind toward him (thank you!). We ordered the squash blossoms as an appetizer and omg - they are divine. So delicate and delicious. We also tried two variations of their 'burgers' and they were great. Service both times was super accommodating and friendly. I try to eat vegan whenever I can but my husband is more of a meat eater and the fact that he has loved the food is proof that 'non' vegans won't feel like they are missing out. If we lived closer we would be regulars and can't wait to visit again.

Alma G.

Yelp
Hard to say which of the many dishes we loved most that our group of four tried. Truly, everything was fantastic. We see why the chef was a James Beard semi-finalist. The offerings are wonderful enough to turn any devoted carnivore into a vegan.
google avatar

Ray C.

Yelp
My stepdaughter, who is vegan, suggested that we try Foglia. As an avid meat-eater, I am open to vegan food; all food actually :-) Anyway, the food was fantastic! I had the spaghetti with the sausage (not such a big fan of the sausage, but the pasta was excellent!). I loved the white bean dip appetizer, very tasty. The focaccia was a good choice for dipping. My dry martini was perfect; which is difficult to find for some reason. Our whole party enjoyed their food, and our server, Sydney, was a delight. For dessert, my wife and I split the chocolate mousse cake. I highly recommend the chocolate mousse cake!

Sae R.

Yelp
An absolute fabulous spot in downtown Bristol. We couldn't believe we hadn't been here sooner as we are both plant based! After eating there last night we might not ever eat anywhere else. We ended up sitting at the bar and Alissa (sp?) took great care of us. We started with the chickpea fries (recommended by a friend), then we split the eggplant pizza (the cheese is homemade and made in house), we also split the truffle pasta dish (the chef Peter comes out to grate the truffles on the pasta which was fun), finally we ended with the snowball brownie. It was a perfect end to the evening after seeing the Christmas lights at Blithewald. We are lucky to have many vegan restaurants in the Ocean State. This tops the large establishment in Providence for sure. The food here is out of this world. We can't wait to come back and feel so lucky to live close.

Yelp
My wife and I had a delightful date night at Foglia. My Mediterranean stuffed cabbage had wonderful texture and flavor and I was happy with the choice. My wife really enjoyed her Tempeh Picatta - I tried some with her Brussels and it was also really well prepared. This is fine dining vegetarian-Italian style. Our desert was really good, we went with the lemon cake, I think they have a good pastry chef. Overall the service was top notch including plenty of treats from the kitchen and great recommendations from our server. The atmosphere was convivial on a Sunday with plenty of warm conversations filling the room.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
My younger cousin and I have a Christmas tradition where we find a restaurant with a tasting menu and go experience the flavors. This year was Foglia, and it did not disappoint. We ate everything before taking pics, but from the second we walked in the door to the minute we left we were treated like royalty and enjoyed an amazing vegetarian meal! It's a small but tastefully decorated restaurant, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. You must try it. We will be back!
google avatar

Maggie S.

Yelp
I love vegetables, but would consider myself the furthest thing from vegan. Visited this restaurant for the first time with friends. We had an assortment of offerings from a relatively tight menu. Every bite, from the amuse bouche to the dessert was so well prepared; chef could make a tin can taste like a gourmet cookie. The concept I loved was that the appetizers, while seemingly simple in the written word on the menu, was a delectable and substantial treat. One could easily make a nice little meal out of a couple of appetizers and be perfectly satisfied. But don't forget the focaccia; probably the best I've ever had. Absolutely loved it and will definitely be back.

M W.

Yelp
Outstanding meal at Foglia. From the service to the delicious meals we enjoyed, the cocktails and dessert, it was all truly wonderful. We will definitely be back! A hidden gem on State Street in downtown Bristol.
google avatar

Rita S.

Yelp
Incredible food and service. We were excited to check out this new hotspot. We had great weather to enjoy their outdoor dining tables, and my infant daughter was welcomed just as warmly as us adults. As a non-vegetarian, I'm happy to say I was in no way left wanting. Every dish was incredible. We had time to do the chefs tasting menu with wine pairings and in addition to the food blowing us away, the wine pairings were superb as well, probably one of the best pairing menus I've ever experienced. Topping it all off was a dessert so good I dreamed about it later, prepared by their destined-to-be-famous young pastry chef. Cannot wait to go back.

Alison T.

Yelp
If you are not a vegan and want a true experience for your night out, please come to his restaurant! As a skeptic, I came into Foglia feeling like I was doing a favor for my friend who wanted to try it. We stepped into the calming interior and the hostess was so friendly, the waitstaff so informative, passionate, and knowable, I suspected I may be in for finer things than I anticipated. When we were served an amuse-bouche (just because they wanted to), I was intrigued and sat up a bit straighter wondering where this was going to go...WOW! Then the salad. Calling it just a "salad" doesn't do it justice. the flavors, the dressing, the croutons! Chef Pete, then came over and introduced himself to us which made me feel slightly suspicious, and so welcome, all at the same time. I didn't know his award-winning background and he was humble and welcoming. Our entree, the Tempeh, was ABSOLUTELY outstanding. The flavors on that plate were in my dreams last night. Also, we split both the salad and the entree and they thoughtfully split it for us in the kitchen and the presntations of both those were spectacular! Well, we unfortunately had drinks before we came, which was awful once we saw the bartender carefully concoct her specialties. But I will go back just for one of those scrumptious drinks for sure! Finally, as two, mature women, we couldn't find room for dessert. No problem, they said...and presented us with two mini chocolate chip cookies from the kitchen to satiate us for a final time. A five-star restaurant right on State Street??? Absolutely! Get there soon, as Chef Pete will keep getting the awards he so deserves and there won't be room in the near future, I predict!!! What an experience!!! Thank you, Foglia!!!

Yelp
Foglia just opened up last week and it's already clearly a hit. I highly recommend trying out this beautiful restaurant. Amazing (vegan) food with a wonderful fine-dining experience. The menu is printed daily and is constantly changing, making way for a unique dining experience. There is a wonderful wine selection, the ingredients are incredibly fresh, and each individual receives a complimentary mini vegan rice crispy treat with the bill which is a nice touch. Definitely give Chef Pete's cuisine a try!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious menu! I went opening weekend and was incredibly impressed. I have been thinking about this meal ever since, and cannot wait to go back. The focaccia was so tasty - I had to order more, and the chickpea panisse was my favorite. I'm certain I could order anything on the menu and be delighted. Non-vegan guests in my party were also blown away!

John P.

Yelp
Absolutely superb. Chef Carvelli greeted us at the table and made our celebration so special. Food from apetizer to dessert was excellent. a very special restaurant with a tremendous personal touch by staff and Chef.

Yelp
I was visiting the area and looking through the pictures of various dishes at the restaurants downtown when I came across Foglia and decided "this is it, this is where I want to have dinner." It was at this point that my wife broke the bad news ... its a vegan restaurant. "No matter," I said. I still wanted to go. We went and proceeded to have the best vegan meal either of is has ever had. Even the normal stiff, like foccacia, was outstanding. Artichokes, cauliflower, and pasta could each convert a meat eater - it was that good. Staff exceptionally friendly as well. I'd gladly go anytime in the area and would insist my meat eating friends join me to see what it's all about.

Mark O.

Yelp
The atmosphere, food and service were all first class. We had the chef's menu and it was delicious and generous enough that we had to take some home with us.

Yelp
Enjoyed our meal. Sat at the bar and ordered the focaccia, non crab cakes, tempeh piccata, and cauliflower steak. All we great. Next time with have to splurge on the chef's tasting menu.

Yelp
Foglia is the very best of fine dining vegan style. The upscale food is exceptional and it's truly a quality dining experience. Chef Peter presents plates of beautiful food that tastes as good as it looks. This vegan food is not just for vegans... anyone would love Foglia!

Yelp
This is the only vegan restaurant I've been to that I can honestly say, makes me forget it's vegan. My partner and I have been here a couple times now and it is always incredible! The chef and his family are incredibly warm and inviting and the food is always hands-down perfect.

Yelp
I had a wonderful meal. My husband and I ordered the chef's tasting menu. It was absolutely amazing. So many unbelievable flavors. I highly recommend it. In addition to the wonderful food was the great staff. So friendly

Yelp
Best dining experience I've had in quite a while! Food was amazing (and not just for vegans), the dining room is tasteful and inviting, and the staff were all extremely friendly and attentive.

Yelp
This was our first time to a vegetarian/vegan restaurant and we will definitely be back! We did the Chef's Tasting menu and everything was outstanding! The wine pairings could not have been better. Overall, just a wonderful experience. If you are thinking about going, do it!

Yelp
Highly recommend! All of the dishes we ordered were incredible and the service fantastic, plus you can't beat the views from the outside tables. We loved Chef Pete's work at 12Plants in the past, so we were delighted to hear he had opened his own place. And a special shout-out to the new pastry chef, whose desserts were equally amazing!

Yelp
An Unbelievable Dining Experience My wife and I were a bit skeptical that we were going to enjoy this new Plant-Based Restaurant in the heart of Downtown Bristol. Our experiences at other Plant- Based establishments had not been all that good. Some very good friends, who are friends of Chef Peter and his lovely wife, Linda, have raved about Chef Peter's cooking ever since his pop-up restaurant days in Providence. They insisted that we give Foglia a try. We are glad that we did! The four of us ordered and shared all but two of the items on the menu. Everything was exceptional! Our favorites were the two different pasta dishes, the Beet Roses and the homemade focaccia (our dessert, a Peach Galette, was outstanding, as well). As the title of this review states, this WAS an exceptional dining experience. The food was wonderful, as was the Service. This is an elegant new restaurant with a neighborhood vibe. Give it a try...we're confident that you'll love it as much as we did

Yelp
I have been a vegan for about 10 years now and I used to live by Los Angeles,CA so I had an abundant access to amazing vegan food. I've tried several vegan restaurants and food since I've been out here the past several months and so far they had been just okay. That being said, Foglia surpassed my expectations and is honestly the best vegan meal I have ever had. Every single course was fresh, flavorful and so delicious; even my partner, who is not vegan, was raving about everything we ordered. As he said, it's one of the best eats we've had since living out here. The service is great from the hostess, waiter, bartender and the chef. The chef was kind enough to introduce himself prior to our dining and it was so nice to meet the face behind the talent. The restaurant is small but charming and I can't wait to keep coming back.
