Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by an amazing host who seated us within minutes even though we didn’t have a reservation. Jose was our waiter, and he truly went above and beyond to make sure my family was happy and well taken care of. He even surprised my little one with a chocolate brownie, which made her feel very special. A.D., the manager, also came by our table a couple of times to check on us and make sure everything was going well. The service and attention to detail really stood out. Overall, it was a perfect experience, and we will definitely be coming back!

This was a great fine dining experience for a Brazilian churrascaria. Definitely enjoyed the ambiance and customer service. I loved how the different staff brings out different steaks and slices them for you. The buffet bar was excellent with a variety of choices that were healthy. I totally recommend this place:) The dessert was amazing!

1st time having the full churrasco and it was amazing. The salad bar was delicious and round after round of meats came to the table. The whole staff was a delight, especially our servers Jordan and Tina. What's so excited once the meat started coming that I totally forgot to take pictures of it.But the atmosphere is very nice , and it's not very loud. I would not suggest parking at 888. $6.25 or so per 15 minutes. We found parking on figueroa just past eighth street for $15 flat in a lot. We already love it , and we already made plans to come back.

Everything was great. Service was great. The bartender didn’t put on the Laker game even though they are playing down the street. But overall everything was good. The tomahawk was cooked perfectly. I believe Cindy M. was our server. She was great and attentive. Had reservations today 2.24.26 at 8pm.

The food was delicious and the service was the main reason we will be back. If you are lucky enough to have JORDAN & A.D., you are set for a good and attentive time!! The cuts of meat were all a perfect size, the lamb was my favorite. Dont forget to ask for the cheese and honey, its not an additional cost but you have to ask for it, to die for!! We celebrated my cousins birthday and they were so attentive to her, it made our first experience definitely not our only.

Amazing service. José was my main server and he was awesome. Everyone else was super friendly and professional as well. Only feedback I have, wasn’t getting the Smokey flavor I would expect from meat cooked on charcoal. So I wonder if they’re using gas… but still had a great experience.

This place is super OVERHYPED! Some people make it seem like it’s this amazing experience with excellent food that you just have to try. No you don’t, you can skip it and with your money get way better food in LA. Treat this like a chain steakhouse, because that’s what it is. Meat is average to below average with nothing making you say wow. You come in and eat, then probably don’t come back. Some of these 5 stars reviews are hilarious, because I genuinely leave reviews so people can get honest opinions and save their money. You will spend at least $150 for 2 people here, but leave not feeling like it’s even worth that. Even on special this place isn’t it, I been to Fogo maybe 3 times and it’s because it’s been years in between each visit and I forget how average it is. Trust me this place isn’t worth your money. But I will say the servers are nice and friendly. So this review is just for the food.

We had a great experience at Fogo de Chão celebrating our anniversary. Andrew took such good care of us from start to finish. He surprised us with a complimentary dessert, which was really thoughtful and made our night even more special. He made us laugh, made us feel comfortable, and explained everything since it was our first time there. We truly appreciated his kindness and great service. Thank you, Andrew, for making our anniversary memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

Our experience was overall good given that the service was exceptional. All the servers were very attentive, especially Jordan who checked in on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed at all times. The only con about this place is that there is no designated parking lot for the restaurant so we had to pay $10 at a parking structure right behind.

We normally eat at Texas de Brazil. 1st & probably last time I'll eat at Fogo (Brea Branch). No good food selection at the salad bar. Meet not coming as per advertisement. I requested several times medium well, when finally they decide to come, it's medium rare. I hardly ate anything. Nothing was good. My advise, go to a kbbq for a better meal experience,. You'll get your money's worth there!

I have always been a fan of the Fogo de Chao brand and think they have an awesome concept. Last night we had dinner here after our wedding with the family. I was a little disappointed with some of the service. For starters, you get to your table and there are water bottles on the table (at no time, was it told that we were buying $8.50 water bottles a total of 5). The lead server was not very clear on much. I asked for a Diet Coke and was brought a tiny 12 Oz $5 bottle. When I asked if they had fountain drinks (which I really prefer because of the taste), I was told they didn't have any. Only to see other servers, serve another table fountain drinks just a few minutes later from the bar. I didn't have a problem paying $80 for a few bottled sodas and bottled water; but don't be misleading just to tack onto the bill....at least that was the impression I was left with. Beautiful restaurant inside and the food was great. At the end of the night the manager came to us and asked how dinner was, which was a great touch. I didn't have the heart to tell him about my dissatisfaction with the server because I didn't let that ruin my dinner, but he certainly made us feel welcomed.

The food is really good. As a traditional brazilian steak house, they come around with different cuts. Don't like that they come around with extras ($$) The waitress was amazing!!! She was friendly and attentive. Pricey, but what do you expect at a steakhouse in DTLA. A bit loud and crowded.

I had a reservation and seated right away. My food was good and our server Jordan was greater. Very attentive and helpful. Best of all he made my daughter's first time a wonderful experience. Per my daughter, we will be coming back.

Went on a Friday night with reservation and we were sat down pretty fast. Servers were attentive once we were sat down and ambience was chill. Towards the middle of the night the place did get busy so servers did take longer to get to us with our orders and meats. We went for their $49 menu which was a 4 course meal (salad, sides, meats and desserts) Salad bar was great, so much options and meats were always coming out fresh. The best was the picanha but everything was delicious. We were able to get our desserts for to go and the server packed it for us. Will definitely be back again!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fogo De Chao and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The food was absolutely fantastic, leaving me completely satisfied with the flavors and presentation. The drink selection was on point, complementing the meal wonderfully. I came for the $49 promo and it was definitely worth it. The service was great and salad bar had fresh food as well.

So happy I finally got to experience the delicious flavors of Fogo de Chao. The wife and I planned a spontaneous holiday trip to LA just so she could eat at this restaurant. Not even kidding!! Granted, we had good reason to take a trip since we were celebrating another anniversary, but we were watching some foodie videos and thought, Why Not?! Although there's so many options to eat in LA, we found ourselves at Fogo de Chao for lunch and dinner on separate days. Fat girl status! Lunch was busy, but of course not as busy as dinner. There were more meat options for dinner, but the spread was equally as amazing no matter the time! My favorite protein was the Picanha beef sirloin. Omg it was salty and flavorful.. seriously the reason I'd go back. Chicken wasn't part of my plan on either occasion, but I am so happy I tried it because they really did the chicken thigh justice with the rub, and it tasted even more delicious with the house chimichurri. All meats were juicy, savory, and satisfying. Sorry, I didn't take too many pics of the meats as I was soaking in the experience lol but trust me, there's a lot more than what you see here. The cold bar was filled with the standard Hispanic offerings. I know more than half of my meal came from the salad bar and probably a full bowl of bread lol - also not part of my plan, but they are so addicting!!! When dining in, I'd recommend NOT sitting tucked away from the center crowd - that's the reason for the 4 stars. There is DEFINITELY a difference in the attention you get if you're not closely packed where the meat is focused to be served. We noticed the large parties getting most of the servings.. so by the time the Gaucho did their rounds, there wasn't much left for the rest of the surrounding 2 tops, AND all of my favorite parts (the end pieces) were gone. Either way, still a wonderful experience and I truly can't wait to go back! Enjoy! :)

I have only visited the Beverly Hills location for brunch and it was stellar. This time I visited the El Segundo location for dinner and the area, seating and aesthetic were beautiful and serene. The staff! Looove them. They each have a task to do and others walk around helping where they can. Their approachability and assistance made the dining experience pleasant. The food... not so excited. Majority of the meats including the chicken! were med/rare, fatty or salty. The meats all looked the same and we could not tell which from which. Some of the servers who carried the meat second guessed as well. I asked for med well slices and they still came around fully red! I couldnt do it! The saltiness and the lack of completion in its cooking was off-putting. $98 later... Im full off of bar sides and ginger ale and some cheese bread.

I was disappointed with this place. After frequently going to the Fogo near Beverly Hills on La Cienega, this place does not measure up. Yet it was still full of customers. The squash soup tasted like garlic soup and was grainy and runny, not creamy. The chicken salad tasted like the chicken had gone bad. The market table (salad bar) in general did not look its best. The farofa was soggy! The meat was ok, my husband said the meat was good but I wasn't sold on it. Restrooms were clean. Host was nice. The runners and waiters were nice but took forever to get anything. Parking is not very convenient like anywhere in DTLA, the closest structure is a block away and was $17. The restaurant is located on the corner of Figueroa and 8th st on a very busy intersection. We came here because our family needed somewhere where they could start eating right away but it will not be my choice next time. There's plenty of very good restaurants in DTLA.

They were always attentive and ready to assist. We decided to try this place because we often saw it and were curious. If you're interested in trying it, it might be worth a shot, but my experience may not have been the best. Constructive feedback can help the owners improve. Just be prepared for challenging parking. Celebrated my birthday here and had the most amazing experience in service and food. I opted out of the meat course and chose a salmon entree but that included a side of mashed potatoes, fried plantains, and polenta as well as access to the salad bar and soup. Everything I tried was amazing and cooked to perfection! Every server that greeted us was friendly and very helpful in answering questions as it was me and my friend's first time there. The finishing touch was the creme brûlée dessert. It was so creamy and the top was the perfectly crisp and not overly sweet. Dinner here was a 10/10 and I'd recommend it for special occasions like a date night or birthday celebration or just any special event.

Amazing buffet and great $44 deal going on But even though we had a reservation and there was only two of us they initially sat us at this tiny table right behind the hostess stand and squished next to a huge table and the carpet smelled weird We had to ask to move and there was a whole other section! So that was weird Also it seems so much smaller and less selection than the other one in I think Beverly Hills location But the meat guys were super nice and the meats where amazing and delicous as well as the buffet And the $5 happy hour beer all day, $8 wine and $10 cocktails are a great deal

First time visit for my family (I had been to a Fogo de Chão before).. I left embarrassed about having recommended this place and speaking so highly of it as my whole group was so disappointed from the service, to the food and my sister even got an allergic reaction then and there!!! The right side of her face began to swell up.. I expected so much more but we literally sat at our table without any meats coming our way for over 40 minutes.. we literally paid $400 for access to a salad bar, 3 slices of meat and an allergic reaction.. needless to say my group said they'd never go again.. PS I will say that the highlight of the entire visit was a gentleman who got very attentive with us toward the end, even got my sister birthday desert on the house which was very kind..

First off, the place smelled sooo badly from the carpet. I couldn't eat because of the smell. It was just horrible. It was about 10 minutes into the meal that the assistant manager or manager came by and we mentioned the carpet smell. She was not shocked by our response and said that they were just overdue for a carpet cleaning. Then offered to move us away from the carpet. It was good because the smell didn't bother us at our new table. However, no one else came anymore. We waited for at least 15 minutes and kept seeing every table get served with meats except us. We were only 10 feet away from our original table. They saw us. None of the guys with meats came by and not our waitress until we complained to the lady who helped us move tables. She tried to help but obviously was busy herself. The meats started to finally come by.....but one guy who was serving the meat just was horrible. This guy cut the meats and it would fall onto our table every time, and told us to take that meat, but also he splashed the blood from the meat onto my partner's face and shirt but did not apologies once! I am still waiting on my special request of medium rare...'never got that or the cheese with honey. The meats were all super dry, well done, and tough since there wasn't a lot of people so I guess they didn't want to cook fresh meat. I was just so upset that I wanted to leave. The only one who was consistently helpful was the busboy who kept refilling my water, loved him. I love this place but will never come back here again.

Meaty Christmas! Had a lovely Christmas dinner at CdCBS. It was my first time here --I don't eat a lot of red meat like this often, but had heard great things about this place so decided to indulge for the holiday. We were kind of confused at first but got the hang of the meat rotation eventually. It seemed like they had a LOT of extra bottom sirloin because that came around like 4 or 5 times. But I never saw the linguiça or pork belly until I eventually asked for some. The service was great, which really made the meal and the experience for me. I felt bad asking for certain proteins at first, but realized that MOST of the tables around me were doing the same in a less-than-polite way!! I felt bad for the young servers but apparently not bad enough to ask for some pork belly of my own, please. I really enjoyed all the meats that I had, save for maybe the garlic steak which was really garlicky and tough compared to the other cuts we tried. The lamb chops were really gamey too which isn't always my favorite but the women next to us were very adamant about not leaving until they got some... to each their own I suppose! I wasn't a huge fan of the cold bar. Felt like there were some things on there that shouldn't be cold at all? The cauliflower and peppered bacon in particular were not very good! Even the Pao de Queijo was cold. I've had better at other, less expensive Brazilian places for sure. The caipirinhas were delightful and very necessary after a long christmas holiday

I came with the boys and was not disappointed. The endless meat was tender, and the sides were on par. Staff was friendly and overall, made for a great dinner. Our girl - Estefania took care of us and made our experience memorable. She recommended some extra items that I've never heard of and truly made us feel special. Only minor complaint is that being in DTLA, it gets extremely crowded, so make sure you arrive early to avoid the crowds at the salad bar.

Lovely Friday dinner at Fogo in downtown los angeles. Salad bar had plenty of options and the meats were fresh and piping hot. Jordan was an attentive server and took great care of us!

Service is awful and any good cut of meat is at a premium. The wait staff can't find their wine keys, so don't bother. And then the manager tried to give me extra free pours of wine (that I didn't want), as we waited almost 40m for our bill.

We love the $10 bar bites menu deal at lunch - $10 for a burger with fries (and delicious cheese bombs as a starter). You have to sit at the bar, Jordan was a fantastic bartender and took great care of us!

Just did an order here for delivery. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Keep in mind that this is a delivery order and received probably half an hour or so after final food prep so I know it's not going to be as good as if I just had a sit down meal at the restaurant. Cheese bread was so hard it was like a cracker golf ball. Meat portions were a bit small and haphazardly cut even more than usual but that could just be because they were really busy today or something. H&H has better value for similar pricing, but this is okay since I was craving steak.

Fogo is probably the most well known name for Brazilian steakhouses in the LA area. The other alternative being M Grill in Koreatown. I personally prefer Fogo these days since it seemed like the quality of the meat went down at M Grill based on the last time that I went. Fogo now offers two menus, one for $39 I believe for a more limited set of cuts, and the fully priced one at $59.99. If you compare the menus, you'll notice that the cheaper version doesn't have some of the more popular cuts, some of them being the sole reason for coming here. I wish the lower-priced option had a better selection, but their marketing works in making you feel better about dropping $70+ on a meal. Aside from the meats, they have a salad and fruit bar that's also self-serve, though I suggest you are careful with how much you serve yourself to leave enough room for all the meat to get your money's worth. It's also hard to not stuff yourself with the delicious cheese bread .. beware. The last time I went, Ralph comped us with a free dessert since it was my mom's birthday, shout-out to Ralph!

It has become a tradition for me to take my husband to Fogo de Chao on his birthday and/or our anniversary. We have visited several locations throughout San Diego and Los Angeles, and I must say that the service we received last night was exceptional. Our waiter, Nelson, served us promptly with all the sides, including some extra cheese bread (my fav!), and the rounds of meat kept coming nonstop for a good 20 minutes. Shortly after we arrived, a very large party of 25+ people came in, which required Nelson and other staff members to assist them. However, Nelson's teammates and the management stepped up to ensure that our needs were met while he was away. Highly recommend this location over Pasadena!

I love coming to Fogo here in Los Angeles. My husband brought me for my birthday dinner and the service was amazing. Jordan was very attentive and friendly. He made it my experience great! They have different cuts of meats and it was so tasty and it kept coming. The restaurant is very beautiful inside. I will definitely come again.

My daughter and I took my mom to lunch today. At the LC gondola location are we to was Juan ..we had reservations for 1230 ..Juan was Awesome.. Very attentive.. His professionalism was amazing he always came back to the table to make sure everything was fine ..although we were sitting in a location that was away from everyone else. He still managed to come around that market table to check on us. But not to sell the other staff member showed everyone at this location was amazing ,,,,We will be returning

Different concept, food is good, meet is perfect, service not bad, ambiance is good, i liked.

I went here with a couple friends to celebrate the end of the semester, expecting good service, tasty meat, and a lively experience. Instead, the meat was rather dry and unseasoned, the rounds of meat were slow and often never got to us in the corner of the room, and the service didn't come to us often (i suspect because we are younger). In the end, I was so fed up I had to ask for specific cuts of meat, which they brought, but it significantly delayed our meal and experience (if we were supposed to do that, we weren't informed of it). The ambiance was decent and the buffet was nothing special. Overall I spent far too much money (100+) for a meal like this.

What a great time. The food was amazing service was great and the ambiance was superb. Our server Sheila was very attentive, from clean plates to always ensuring our water glass wasn't empty. It's nice to see someone who enjoys helping others.

I picked this place for a work function, and it blew us away. We all elected for the Churrasco experience, and although I've only been here this one time, I can't imagine this not being the best choice. They come around continuously with different cuts of meat and slice whatever piece you select right onto your plate. It's like some sort of carnivore heaven. The meat was juicy and amazing, particularly the medium rare/rare cuts. My favorites were the bottom sirloin, New York Strip steak, rib eye, and lamb chops. That's a lot of favorites, but they really were all so excellent. I'm a big fan of lamb, but the beef is definitely the star here. I had some lamb steak, and it was on the well-done side. The lamb chops were juicy and garlicky, but I think I still have to admit the rib eye and strip steak were better, particularly paired with the wines we had. I really brought my A-game for eating as much as possible, but still didn't leave enough space for sausage or chicken. I'm not usually a big steak eater, but this place seriously takes it to the next level. The salad bar in and of itself is a delight, with all kinds of goodies, including roasted eggplant, marinated mushrooms, fejoada (black beans), different cheeses and meats, hearts of palm, beets, pickled peppers, etc. They also bring bottomless sides to the table, consisting of caramelized bananas, fried polenta, and Brazilian cheese bread. Be careful with the bananas and cheese bread - they are delicious and you can easily fill up on these! Cindy was very knowledgeable about wines and assisted us with the wines we brought. She was wonderful and helpful. We topped off the meal with a papaya puree dessert, which was a light and perfect texture. Overall a very enjoyable and unforgettable dining experience.

Husband and I stopped by to have lunch this past Friday at 1. We have previous enjoyed other Fogo de Chao in Irvine, Beverly Hills, & Las Vegas. This one location in downtown LA was the worse meat cuts we've had in a Brazilian Churrasco. At first it smelled old and not pleasant inside. It was not food smell for sure. We were so looking g forward to a good meat, but to our surprise everything g was overcooked dried and unflavored. None of the meats had that kosher salt, normally the picanha steak is juicy and flavorful, Not at all this time. The salad bar was the only good part and my glass of wine. No piece of meat was good. Chef needs to add some salt. And not over cook the meats. Also, I had to ask if they serve the grilled cheese and not at one point were we offered desert. Very dissatisfied with this experience.

I've been to Fogo De Chão quite a few times but this past visit warrants a review. My husband and I took my three year old and 11 month old. We normally take the kids with us to restaurants but the baby has been on a throwing everything on the floor kick. The sat us around lots of tables so I was getting nervous. Moises was the absolute best. He would come and bring over plastic utensils for the baby to chew on. He would bring over extra bread for my toddler. He was just so amazing and helpful especially for us trying to eat and catch flying items from hitting the floor. I would come back just to see him. We went for the $44 deal Fogo had and it was definitely worth it. My favorite piece of meat was the bottom sirloin! So juicy. The sides are solid. It has all the staples: rice, black beans, potato salad, etc. My only peeve about this location is parking. I wish they had valet on a Friday. We parked at the lot on the corner of 8th and Flower and it was over $24 for two hours. I'd rather pay valet that money than walk a block in downtown LA with my kids.

I had a wonderful experience at Fogo with my friends this past weekend. The meat and salad bar selection was awesome and the service was exemplary. My group felt very well attended to and the servers did a really good job checking in and asking us about what we needed and was quick to get us items if we ever ran out. Highly suggested!

First time experiencing the Brazilian Churrasco.. and MAN am I a fan!!! There is AYCE salad/side buffet when you get the full on meat service.(hahaha) There are plenty of meats going around for you to taste. Everything was delicious. The cheese popover breads were soo good. The cocktails were so refreshing and just well made. The service was fantastic it was Friendly and informative. I wish I would have gotten her name. The restaurant got full for the lunch rush but the buffet bar was kept fully stocked and the meats kept coming. You have a little coaster that is green and red so you can take a break and enjoy the meat/chx/lamb you already have on your plate. Picanha was my favorite cut of meat I will make sure to get more pieces next time. Something I should have asked about was sauces .. I swear I didn't see any at the bar but I could be wrong. Hope to be back. Oh yes they don't validate parking. Parking is horrible and expensive in this area. It's not the restaurants fault but just be warned.

Amazing experience! I don't live close to one of these so I go about once a year for a work event. Just the quantity of meat that is brought around is impressive. If you're like me and want to get your $$ worth I recommend just eating the meat. It is that good so who needs salad and bread? The waiters, by design, are very attentive. If you're looking for a nice upscale place (the waiters are in tuxes) where you will definitely get stuffed and you're not worried about the $60 PP this is a good choice! 4.5 stars cause I think 5 stars should be rare and I can't pay that price often.

I nice place to go to lunch in Downtown Los Angeles when you are in the mood to spend some extra money for a very tasty meal. Service- Friendly and attentive. The Place- Nice upscale atmosphere. The Food- I had the Churrasco Experience which included an all you can eat salad bar that had many tasty options and all you can eat variety of meats that will continue to come to the table until you are ready to waive the white flag. At $48 it is a little on the pricey side for lunch so I recommend you come hungry and have at it!

My husband likes the meats ... all the meats. I prefer a variety of small bites. Fogo satisfies us both. There are so many things to choose from all of which is fresh, tasty and unique. We appreciate the food, the service and the fact that we have to walk at least 1.5 miles each direction which helps with the overindulgence. Fogo has been a staple in our rotation of favorite restaurants in DTLA. I should also shout out happy hour with $5 beers/$7 wines/$9 cocktails. Finally, special thanks to Moises for making us feel like the most important people in the restaurant.

We came here as first timers for my sisters 17th birthday and what an experience this was! Starting with the hostess, she was able to seat us earlier than our reservation and gave us a great table! Our waiter explained the process to us and we were excited, because of all the great looking food passing us by! We got our plates and the fun began. Meat after meat was presented us, we felt like royalty! The food was delicious & the salad bar had amazing options! We ended the meal with a delicious molten lava cake. I can't get enough of this place. I love their buffet spread. From the roasted garlic, cheese, corn, and my favorite that keeps me coming back bacon. It's like crack bacon. It's a mixture of spicy, sweet, and savory. I love their garlic steak with a piece roasted garlic, bleu cheese, and bacon. ( That's what you call a perfect bite) My husband took us for Mother's Day, and I couldn't stop thinking about how great the meat selections were. I really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. It's much better than the Topanga location.
