Google
The food was amazing. I would def come back here again. The servers came by the table more than needed and didn't hesitate to ask us if we needed anything and then.... Got it.

Google
Everything was spectacular. The service was wonderful, I couldn’t even tell who was serving us because everyone was checking on us and made our time there feel so special. Thank you!

We are returning customers, usually dining at the downtown location. So of course we had to check out this beautiful new location! The food is hot, fresh and delicious, served with a smile. The staff is friendly and attentive. Aliza and her team always make sure we have a top-notch experience! We LOVE our Fogo de Chao, if you haven't already been here, its a must!! Ask for the cheese 🧀🍯 😋

Google
My experience tonight was six stars! The food was phenomenal and salad bar top notch, better than other Brazilian steakhouses in the area. Kim, Alize and Crystal, specifically, rocked it. They accommodated my requests!

Google
Such a great vibe! This is a really great spot! We need this in the suburbs. Great food! The bar has wonderful $6 options! Service was great! Loved it and can’t wait to come back!

Pedro G.

Google
Absolutely amazing place! The food was incredible and the staff was perfect. The bar was out of some stuff but they more then made it up with the drink that was made in front of us.

Google
One of Rob’s favorite restaurants!! After a long day of doctors’ visits, Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse did not disappoint!! Kim and Jazz were excellent servers!! The food was delicious, and I recommend this new location in San Antonio. We will definitely be back to enjoy the hospitality and atmosphere!!

Jerry C.

Google
Everything was amazing. From the salad bar to the variety of meats that came out. I can't wait to visit San Antonio again so I can go back. The dress was super casual even though this place looks/is upscale. Tshirts and caps ✔️.

Yelp
The new Fogo de Chao is a BEAUTIFUL restaurant. It's super convenient location and ample parking is fantastic - and so much easier than the downtown location (which is honestly why we don't visit more often). The host, servers, and manager were all so very gracious and hospitable - perfect customer service. Kudos to the team!!!! Fogo was offering an INCREDIBLE Veteran's Day appreciation special for 50% for Vets and 10% for their guests on their full or indulgent Churrasco! Not to mention, our 4yo daughter was complimentary. Both my husband and I are US Army Veterans and truly appreciated the recognition. Per usual, their food was good! I honestly go for the salad bar mostly (lol). My hubby is the carnivore and skip's that part every time. The lentil soup they had?! Sooooo good, had a little tang to it - that I loved!! We enjoyed the bottom sirloin - very tender and flavorful. However, my hubby's desired Ribeye only came at the very end when we were essentially tired of waiting. More rotations would've been nice. There was another steak, which name I forget, that was super tough. It had potential though! Oh, and I LOVE their mini popovers - I could eat several bowls of them, hahaha. They also featured some mocktails that all sounded delicious - and the sour I elected to try was fantastic! If you're looking for a good Brazilian Steakhouse experience in a beautiful local, give this location a go! We will be back :)

Yelp
A solid 3 rating. Went for a lunch celebration at work for a 10 year anniversary. The interior decor is flawless. Went with a group of 10 people, lots of room and the interior is large & bright. Onto the food. I'd rank this one dead last with Chama & Brasão leading the pack. They need to figure out their grills. All meat that came out was overcooked. Would ask for medium rare and the meat would come back medium into medium well. A true disappointment enough for the general consensus of our group to determine we would scratch this from our list of all you can eat meat spots. The salad bar was good, and I did think it was interesting they had rice as a side too. The other thing to dock a star was the service. The workers were not properly trained. They had all kinds of people crossing other's paths, had a waiter spill silverware, others coming by with a chicken and not even a min later having a different person coming with the same type of meat. We found ourselves waiting for cuts of meat even though we had asked for them. Same waited a while to come back for water refills. We were never given a clean plate after going for salads, we had to ask for them. Just basic stuff that hopefully they can work on to make better.

Yelp
We visited for restaurant week. The vibe of this new location was great. It's so nice! The hostess was very polite and we were seated very quickly. We order drinks and they were a bit delayed. It wasn't a huge deal, but then the salad bar was pretty picked over and not replenished for a while. The meat service was also very sparse! The assistant manager, Crystal was good about checking in and asking what we were waiting on and did send things we wanted our way; however, it took a very long time. We definitely didn't get as much as we'd have wanted, but it was getting late. Because it was a restaurant special dessert was included. Again, after ordering it took at least 25 minutes for dessert to arrive. It wasn't very good. Several of us ordered crème brûlée, one chocolate cheesecake, and a tres leches cake. The cheesecake was the best thing of the night. The cake was super dry and the crème brûlée was clumpy. Our waiter was good and the assistant manager was very aware of the service and quality of food. She did apologize as they were understaffed and she acknowledged the food issues. But even at restaurant week prices nothing was done to make it right. I do appreciate the hospitality and the acknowledgment but we still spent about $80 each for subpar food and pretty bad service because of the large party in the private room. Most of the meat service was in there. Not sure I'd return. There are better options for Brazilian steakhouses.

Yelp
(Old review)...I will be honest. I avoided places like this. Why? I'm not a fan of fads or chains. I feel at times the real sense of the food gets lost for the sake of making money. This is one of the few popular upscale chains that changed my mind. This was a special occasion for us. It was a reconnecting date, both of us having busy schedule, we made time for a date. It turned out to be a great choice. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, it felt special. Our waitress asked what was the occasion, we explained it to her, and she made it feel extra special when she said she would take care of us. She explained the way it worked, all the times at the buffet, even what works drinks wise. AMAZING service by everyone! I'm not going to drag this out with every single item we ate. The only thing we didn't really like was the bread they bring you at the beginning of your meal, pao de quejio I believe. Not very good to be honest. The two favorite meats by far were the Linguica and the picanha. The lamb was also very good. All the meats were good to great! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The buffet had mostly good items. Not anything mind blowing. But, you come here for the meats not sides. The desserts!!!! Wow! The crème brûlée was one of the best desserts I've had anywhere! We still talk about it. I get it, it's pricey. You don't eat as much as you think either. For a special occasion, we would do it again! It was so good I didn't get time to take too many pics, which was a great thing! Bravo to the amazing staff!!!!!

Yelp
I absolutely LOVED this place so much. The overall vibe is top tier compared to other Brazilian steakhouses. Drinks were fabulous and food was fantastic. We started off a little rough with our server who kept disappearing on us from the beginning, somehow there was a super nice woman who actually worked at the bar or was a connoisseur and she ended up taking care of us, which we greatly appreciated her since we came for my birthday dinner! I cannot wait to come back.

Christian Q.

Yelp
Worst place ever. No need to come here, the meat is gross and full of fat. Takes forever to get more food

Yelp
My friends surprised me with Fogo de Chao lunch date for my birthday, I was so excited to try the new location. Service from the waitstaff was sometimes slow but overall good! I did go with an empty glass for a while and did have to ask for certain meats more than once. We did get mashed potatoes and they were just set on the table, I'm kind of used to them being served onto my plate when at a Brazilian steakhouse. Now onto my experience with the gauchos.... A gaucho came to my table and as he sliced the meat with the knife pointed in my direction he signaled for me grab the piece, he then continued to cut in my direction which ultimately ended up with me being cut by the knife. I was in awe as to how this could've happened to me. I don't think that with proper training there should have ever been a possibility of me being injured. Anyways the manger did try to make up for it and the gaucho did apologize. I do not want to focus solely on this negative experience with the gaucho. The food was great! Meats were perfectly prepared. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. Their onion and cheese dish with honey was fabulous. However I do wish they had roasted pineapple with cinnamon. We came on a Monday and the restaurant was pretty slow which did create a very relaxing environment and allowed us to enjoy our food at a much slower pace. I'd probably be back here sometime in the future but I will be honest I have been left with some anxiety.

Yelp
Fast service! Delicious dinning! Amazing meats! Great atmosphere! Love the salad bar. I think there the fastest servers I have ever had. The steak and beef was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend them for your next Brazilian experience! What kept them from 5 Star was this weird post dinner "up sale" for reviews and drinks - just was an odd interaction.

Yelp
Went for my birthday brunch at this new location. It was a bit tricky because they closed both sides of the frontage road along 1604 near I-10 so we had to figure out how to get to the entrance since the turnarounds were blocked. I called to get some specifics but the gal didn't know how to direct me. She said to just use Apple or Google maps. I told her I was already using an app so she put me on hold and came back and said to use Exit 557A. I told her we'd figure it out and if we couldn't we'd cancel our reservation. We figured it out by going on I-10 by Costco & turning around, staying close to the frontage road, veering right and onto the parking lot. Just be forewarned on the weekends there may be closures. I checked in and we were seated by the window which was nice and bright. The space is nice, airy, has a modern decor with high ceilings and music was being softly piped in until later when more people came in. We were greeted by several servers who brought water, my Mimosa and Rolf who explained the menu items & offerings. We had been to a few other Brazilian BBQ places around town but not Fogo. After we looked at the menu, we both decided to get Chilean Seabass since we had grilled Lamb chops the night before. I liked how you could order the entrees which include the "Market Bar" which includes a variety of salads, Lox, Prosciutto, cheeses like Manchego slices and Parm chunks off a wheel; also includes Beets tartare, grilled Peppers, Hearts of Palm, Button Mushrooms, a Brazilian Corn salad which was bitter, not sweet; Tomato slices w/Mozzarella & Basil; Watermelon slices, Papaya and Berries; and on the other side was Linguica sausage chunks with thick bacon that tasted like Pork Rinds in a good, crunchy way!! There was a Tomato Soup in a kettle beside the sausage and some baguette rounds and croutons with bowls w/c were easily accessible. They had a made to order Omelette station which we didn't use cos we were there for other things and they had mini Belgian waffles. I didn't have any since I was there for the entree and salad offerings. As I sipped on my Mimosa, I looked down and there was a dead Mosquito on my wine stem. I left it there and didn't make a fuss. When the Seabass came, I was still eating my salad on another plate and waiters would come by about every 2 minutes checking on us, offering to take a plate, filling water, asking how everything was, etc. I started eating my fish and noticed it was kinda greasy and needed more seasoning. I asked one server if they had soy sauce so she checked in the back but told me they didn't have any. She offered to give more lemon slices so I said that was fine. There's a Papaya Vinaigrette which has chopped onions, Papaya, Tomatoes but the fish generally needed more seasoning. Caramelized bananas, polenta and mashed potatoes were also given. The first Seabass had thin asparagus spears which were cooked fine. Halfway thru, I cut into my fish and there was a 1" black hair strand so we told the waiter, Josiah. He took it back and I told him I just wanted 1/2 a fish so they gave me another whole one which was much more moist and less greasy but the asparagus was overdone & greasy. I think they probably do better with the Brazilian meats vs. fish dishes. The servers were apologetic, informed me how much time it would take and we were patient. We received a few apologies from the staff and I think a manager. Moving forward, I hope they can follow thru with the quality control or protocol before the dishes are sent out to customers. That being said, the service was always helpful and checking on us and they ended up comping the Seabass. I thought that was sincere and I understand things happen. Just giving another serving would've been fine and we would've gladly paid for it. Since it was my birthday, I got a free dessert from the menu. I decided on the Molten Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream and a sliced Strawberry. Yay! It had a candle and Happy Birthday icing written on the plate. I was going to try the Chocolate Licor 43 that Alizay(?), the female employee had suggested as we were talking about Carajillos and Espresso Martinis when we first arrived, but she never came by with the sample after lunch. It's okay. Perhaps next time. One last note...I almost fell on the slippery probably waxy faux wooden floor. I thought it was my heels but when we left, I told my husband to check it out and he said it was slippery too. He thought it might have been the cleaner they used. The bathrooms were clean and had a modern decor as well. This is an area with new developments and shops about to open. I applaud their efforts for service and except for some hiccups, the ambiance and food is good...esp. the chewy, warm Brazilian Cheese Bread which my husband chowed down on!

Yelp
My husband and I had date night at The Prisoner's Wine Dinner. It was so amazing!! Great service and delicious food typical of Fogo de Chao. The Prisoner's wine matched perfectly with the food. The presenters were very knowledgeable and spent enough time at each table to make us feel special. We will be looking forward to coming back. Love the North San Antonio location to avoid downtown traffic.

Yelp
So excited to try this place! It did not disappoint. Made a reservation just in case it gets too crowded for a Friday evening. The place looks great and amazing, staff service was attentive and lovely. Food, amazing. Everything tasted so delicious. I wish we paced ourselves better, ha. However got to try everything. The pork belly was SO good, have to get it with that honey sauce. I enjoyed the lamb medallion too, wasn't gamy. All the steak/beef cuts were amazing, wish I was able to eat more. Oh yea, ask for the chimichurri sauce, that was so good! Can't wait to return! It's a great place for any type of celebration, plenty of parking too.

Yelp
This was my first time at this restaurant at any location. Since this location is brand new, the restaurant itself is extremely clean, and the furniture is comfortable. The staff, specifically Kim and Kayden (sorry I forget her name), were exceptional. The hospitality manager, Angela (I think that is her name), was incredible. The staff is really what made this experience special. They went above and beyond to make sure all needs were met. Worth the cost for the dining experience. I went for lunch and it was about $50 a person. I recommend the Brazilian lemonade, and the bottom sirloin medium rare.
google avatar

Markie S.

Yelp
We went for Saturday brunch at 11:30 am. It was not busy at all so the service was amazing, we had LOTS of staff taking care of us. Rolf was great at explaining the menu, Kim was very friendly and checked on us often, Sam was also great. The ambiance was way better than the downtown location. The outside seating area was beautiful as well. I had previously signed up for the rewards however I'm glad they explained it to the rest of my family and got them to sign up as well as there's more incentive on wanting to visit more often. I would prefer this location over downtown and look forward to returning.

Yelp
My husband and I were craving Brazilian food and my husband found a spot. Luckily, he decided to make a reservation and when we got there, it was super packed. They sat us at a good table, we had three different waitresses helping us and they were all super sweet very nice and very helpful and they gave us some good recommendations. My husband had the Chilean seabass and I tried the full churrasco. Both choices come with their marketplace salad bar, which has not only a salad bar, but a charcuterie board different types of little snacks and also came with their rice and bean bar. Their drinks were really good. I think the one thing that I really didn't like was the fact that you can't share, your full churrasco with your partner. The different meats were delicious! Lamb, top sirloin, ribeye, chicken and others. The restaurant was clean, they played Brazilian music (it wasn't too loud).

Jennifer S.

Yelp
I give Jenny five stars. Her customer service was amazing. She made us smile. She recommended drinks and appetizers for us. That really made the experience over the top. We'll definitely be back because of her. We really enjoyed the music the ambience, even the patio on a afternoon was very pleasant.

Claudia A.

Yelp
I was extremely disappointed on my visit last night. There was anyone at the front to check me in, so had to wait to be sited even though the place was almost empty. My silverware was dirty as well as the table. When I brought this to their attention, I saw two waiters gossiping and looking at me. Completely unprofessional and now I am uncomfortable. The meat's took a long time to come between each cut, so we couldn't try most of them, and now my stomach is sick. The bathrooms were dirty, a complete disaster!! Never had experience any of these, in either Brazilian restaurants in San Antonio. I was going to do a company event here, glad o chose to check them out first and now I am glad I didn't- definitely will not come back and will pass the feedback to other event planners here.

Raquel R.

Yelp
This location was completely unorganized from the start. When we walked in, the hostess didn't even greet us the first thing she said was, "Do you have a reservation?" (which we did). No welcome, no smile. We were switched between two different servers during our meal, and neither seemed to know what was going on. The salad bar area was honestly concerning one of the workers was cutting kiwis and tomatoes right there with half-worn gloves and a plate full of scraps and bad pieces right next to her. Definitely not what you expect from a restaurant like this. The service was awful. Our plates were never changed, and the meat had no flavor whatsoever. When we asked for mashed potatoes, toreado chiles, and bananas, it took over 40 minutes and only came out after asking three times. Overall, this was the worst dining experience we've ever had at Fogo de Chão. The food, service, and cleanliness were all disappointing. Definitely not worth the price
google avatar

Robert W.

Yelp
Service was very slow. Some of the meats were dry, salad bar was just ok, definitely will not return.

Molly A.

Yelp
Had a reservation and definitely glad we did because they were busy! We did have to wait 5-10 minutes for them to get our table ready and it was loud- music was blaring but I can understand why since it is a very busy and noisy place due to the volume of people. It was ironic that the teens in our group noticed it being too loud. Once seated the waiter explained how everything worked for those in our party that had never been before. After that, let the fun begin! We made our way to the salad bar and everything was very fresh. There was lots to try and unique tastes. We came back to the table and the teens ordered the limeade per the waiter's suggestion- this was not to their liking. It was a milky white and not anything like a lemon/limeade and had a small hint of lime. One of the waitresses/managers came by and said they would take it off the bill. Finally, it was time to try the different options for meat. None disappointed! From chicken to sausage to steak to lamb all were cooked excellent! I also suggest using the green sauce they bring to the table to enhance the flavor for those who like a little sauce. Oh, and even if you are on the red card side, if your plate is empty they will still offer you meat so be prepared. Red and green really seem to be unimportant. The hallway to the restroom was a bit littered with trash which I'm surprised none of the employees tended to it as it seemed to be a hangout spot for them to talk. We did have to wait to use the bathroom since there were so many people there and only 3 restrooms. When it came time to pay, we were offered dessert but were so full we couldn't! They didn't remove the limeades as stated earlier from the bill and we had to wait awhile for the waiter to track down someone to help him with that. Overall, it was pretty good. Come hungry to get your money worth.

Chris C.

Yelp
Fresh meat selection with great variety and never slowed down. A great environment for work groups or family.

Fernando D.

Yelp
Real bad experience The server abandoned us Meat as red as looks like the cow died a few minutes ago Definitely Chama is the best Brazilian restaurant in town

Edlin Z.

Yelp
Amazing 9/10 the food was DELICIOUS the people were so nice and always checking on you. Jenny and Luis were amazing with the service. Jenny recommended me de Papaya Cream was so GOOD. The place is very nice The only thing that I didn't like it was the woman's restroom was not too cleaned. however my husband said that the man's restroom were super clean

April C.

Yelp
The recently opened location is beautifully decorated and upscale and there's plenty of parking. Would have liked to sit in the outdoor patio area but it wasn't staffed at the time we went which was mid afternoon on a Tuesday . We enjoy the bar for all day happy hour and a selection of food like the "bone" and the lamb. Staff were attentive and it's not crowded... yet.

Yelp
Last night I had the opportunity to visit the new location and all I can say is WOW! I was blown away with how beautiful the restaurant is and with how kind the staff was. Specifically, Andrew and James made the evening wonderful. As someone who frequents new restaurants as often as possible, I can say without any doubt that I will be returning here again and again for multiple reasons. The caipirinha is a must try cocktail. I tried the strawberry hibiscus and mango habanero versions, loved them both! The picanha and wagyu were my favorite meat options. Everything is loaded with flavor. I also enjoyed the tres leches. I am eager to return again for their happy hour next!

Hannah P.

Yelp
Food and service were terrible. All cuts of meats were dry. Ordered a shrimp cocktail and the shrimp was also dry. Customer service was terrible.
google avatar

Regina S.

Yelp
The food was good. The atmosphere was pretty loud for a Saturday early evening dinner. However, our waitress was something less to be desired. She not only forgot that we had ordered drinks from the bar, she didn't even put in the order. She was less than helpful with plates to start us off since she we opted to start with the meat versus the salad bar. She hardly came around to refill water glasses. We actually had to stop other servers to refill. Other than the food being the upside, we were disappointed.

Jose Rafael C.

Yelp
Last month June 5th several teachers and I dined at Fogo de Chao at the Rivercenter, the food was good- unfortunately, my experience was marred by deceptive pricing and questionable practices that left a bad taste in my mouth. We were in the city for a TCMPC Conference at the convention center. To start, the server "Jesus" tried hard to sell us on ordering alcohol, as we had afternoon sessions we all said no. Most us us asked for water, the server asked if we wanted sparkling or mineral- at which most us said we wanted just water. Expecting it to be complimentary as is customary in most restaurants. To my shock, I was charged $8 for a bottle of water. While I understand that some establishments may charge for bottled water, this was not made clear on the menu, and it felt misleading. Not all the teachers paid for the water as we all shared from the bottle. When the bill came and some of us questioned why some of us had been charged $8 for the water our server explained to us that he did this to "make it easy on us" as we paid. To be honest , $48 lunch and a $8 bottle of water is a bit steep for me but at this point we had to get back to the afternoon sessions at the conference. For the record I did leave a $5 tip. Most of the other teachers left a tip as well. On June 21st, I checked my credit card statement and found that I had charged $99.27!!!! I called and asked to speak to a manager "Ramos" I believe was his last name. I let him know the story and He was able to confim my statement and mentioned that someone had altered my tip amount to $40 - how a $5 tip is incorrectly entered as a $40 tip- I do not know. For the record the manager never called me back. When I did call again he mentioned that he had written my phone number incorrectly. He mentioned that I should see the $40 credited back to my card- which it was. It felt as though the restaurant was taking advantage of its patrons, which is unacceptable. For the record, no one else in our group of teachers were fraudulently charged as I was. Overall, my experience at Fogo de Chao was disappointing. The deceptive charges and lack of transparency overshadowed any potential enjoyment of the meal. I would advise potential diners to be cautious and thoroughly review their bills before settling up and most certainly....CHECK YOUR STATEMENTS AFTER! There are plenty of other restaurants that value their customers and provide a more honest dining experience. I won't be returning to Fogo de Chao.

Yelp
The new location is absolutely beautiful -- the atmosphere and design are really well done! Unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations. We've visited the River Walk location a few times in the past and were also disappointed, both with the food and the service. We gave it another chance with this new spot, hoping for a different experience, but sadly, it was more of the same. There was one waitress we had the pleasure of having (I'm not sure her name) with glasses who was truly wonderful -- friendly, attentive, and a highlight of our visit. However, several of the meats we were served seemed either very mediocre, dry, no flavor, undercooked or very question as if they were good (the lamb chomps) We really wanted to love it, but after multiple visits to both locations, it's clear and very unfortunate this place just isn't for us.

Yelp
We stopped in for lunch at the new Fogo de Chao in San Antonio (1604 & I-10) and had a great experience. Beautiful atmosphere great location. Shout out to the ones who took care of us Kim (ask for her when you arrive), Kayden and Andrew. What a great Experience.

Yelp
Only their second night open and they did not disappoint. Beautiful restaurant, friendly staff and the food was perfect. We appreciate the fresh salad offerings and perfectly seasoned meats. The crab cake and bone marrow are additional but executed well and worth consideration. Atmosphere is more cozy compared to others.

Monica L.

Yelp
Beautiful, spacious new restaurant with plenty of parking. I went to attend dinner meeting in their private area but service was super slow and they needed more neat servers to serve our multiple tables so many of us waited and barely got a few pieces of meat. We then waited again for dessert and saw that they served grilled pineapple which they never presented to us until the end so we had to ask for additional plate and silverware. We ended up taking the dessert home since exhausted by end of night. They should have been more prepared to serve our party with more meat servers and meat. I also would not recommend doing a presentation there since there was a lot of feedback.

Yelp
Had dinner with family on Sep 11. Gauchos Luis & Felipe were great, really informative about the cuts and made sure we enjoyed all the cuts. Server Jayden was very nice & attentive. Overall, a memorable experience and I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Meh, not a fan. Just OK. OK, they tried. Too much. We've been to others of this type so we expected the constant barrage of wait staff with constant questions. You good? You doing OK? Need anything? Want this meat, this meat, this meat? More sparkling water we didnt tell you you'd pay $8 a bottle for...yeah, they are sneaky. The whole interaction thing with one kid then another and grabbing a little slice of meat over and over is a bust. Imagine a steak house that served you a bite at a time. By different kids. CONS: ~Meat was mostly overcooked or tough. ~Lobster in Surf/Turf was tiny. We had to ask for clarified butter. ~Server cut a greasy slice of some beef that fell on my pants leg then the floor! New pants/wife was pissed. He didnt pick it up and several people came by and ignored it until I mentioned it. ~The salad bar is by far underwhelming. No crackers, no bagels. Sorry but your sliced crostini is boring. And if you're going to have smoked salmon, have bagels/lox. No lobster bisque? No its not seasonal. No large mozz balls? WTH? Boring. ~Tables are tiny for all the plates you need. AND they keep bringing you more. Like mushy plantains and rock hard polenta sticks. ~They will take plates away but not clean the table of crumbs/bits. ~~Whole freaking resturant had 2 other couples At 300 Tuesday. Thats cool with us. What was FREAKY was them trying to seat a couple at the one table between us and the window. They didnt want to sit there either! Like you literally had THE ENTIRE GIANT RESTAURANT to seat them. THE ENTIRE GIANT RESTAURANT THE ENTIRE GIANT RESTAURANT THE ENTIRE GIANT RESTAURANT clear? ~ When WE got there she tried to seat us in a back corner of the empty room NEXT TO A BUSSING STATION. Something is just off. They may be newly opened but they are poorly trained too. We had to ask for almost everything because they dont seem to know which one of the various levels you have purchased. Why did I make a reservation for Surf/Turf and you dont know it? Tried to get me to say I wanted the super deluxe package. Cant get ribs or lamb chops on the surf/turf. Surprise!! Cant imagine this place packed and loud on top of all the nonsense. Maybe a big family crew would be happy. Hey its a beautiful, real nice real space in and out. Huge. Too bad they think liquor in the sunlight is a good idea. It'll make a grand clothing store building when they fold. Maybe a Nordstroms. $130 for two WITH WATER before tax/tip? Fuggettaboutit. Seafood 1/4 mile away would feed 4 for that and have leftovers. Can you tell we wont be back? EDIT:They never responded to our email. What a surprise!

Yelp
Had Sunday full brunch. Absolutely excellent service. This location is new only open a week. The staff teamwork is perfect and on point. We have dined at many of their locations. The physical location being on the Westside is great. The restaurant design is excellent, seating and buffet arrangement is well thought out! The meats are well worth a visit. Parking is free. Slight drawback is the Highway 1604 and I 10 construction. This location is better than downtown San Antonio

Yelp
My girlfriend wanted to try the new location for her birthday despite the rumors that the downtown location had lost their touch. First red flag was the inability to smoke an old fashion, that's so basic but I didn't make a big deal. As soon as you sit down they tell you 20 minutes of rules and different ways to up charge you. After getting one of the highest courses you can get (indulgent) we waited for an hour before the first meat was offered. All the meat was insanely over cooked, I ordered bone marrow for a side and didn't get it till the dessert came out, they should have just kept it because it was inedible, completely burnt, just bone no marrow. The staff was very lost food and service wise and they weren't even that busy, there was only 4 tables there at the time we showed up. The salad bar was mid unless you love peaches because for some reason they have thousands of them. The bread was frozen, I never got my Modelo Negra (no they don't have Dos XX or Corona), fruit flys are literally EVERYWHERE, and to top it all off one landed on my girls plate. I killed it to show the manager lol. My girl and her friends are pissed so they want me to complain, when I tell the manager everything that happened he said "I got you" but still made us pay! This place is terrible, you pay less at Brassao or Chana for way better quality food and service. DO NOT GO HERE!

Yelp
We usually frequent the North 281/1604 location 4/5 times a year for special events or just a "better" evening out. This location rarely disappoints. Lots of servers, eyes up and attention to detail. Hustle and service are the measure for us. Unfortunately our visit to this new location on I-10 was far from that. From the start we were seated and aside from water took several minutes for a greet and introduction. We understand that the concept somewhat utilizing a "zone" server practice but the two servers that were in our area never seemed to fully engage with us... as if they were both helping out but not really doing the job. Eventually we waved drinks for just flat water (our usual) and headed to the salad bar. Food and layout were delightful as expected. This location had expanded options from the 281 location such Soups and the BACON. Three words... De-leee-cious.... If you get the reference. (Google if necessary). Sadly from there things went quickly down hill. From the first flip of our cards we requested no pork or garlic drenched or bacon wrapped meat. We wanted medium and medium rare red meat. For the next 20-25 minutes, when we were fortunate enough to see a Groucho, they managed to drop slices of meat that were noticeably over our temperature. Usually medium well of fully cooked thru. The chicken thigh person made many different attempts. Passionately we had to request the sides that accompanied our meal and once dropped the potatos were already cold. After some time our annoyance grew, both from lack of service as well as continued overcooked slicing. Eventually some manager folks got involved and we saw some improvement of the desired meats and temperatures... but now it was overwhelming and poorly paced. We didn't want a plate meat that would get cold because choices were piled up. Needless to say this wasn't the experience that we hoped for. Managing comped some of bill and provide a desert and were trying hard to fix the situation. We are patient people and understand a new restaurant opening situation but this early Saturday dinner experience lacked a lot of everything that we were accustomed to and expected. We will give this location some time and we WILL return... hopefully to enjoy a better dinner. Disclosure: dinner total with discount was $112. Service was lackluster,at best, so we left a $12 tip. (10%) Hopefully they will get the service situation remedied quickly so that this location can provide the top notch service and good quality that the other two locations regularly provides. .

Yelp
Absolutely THE worst "Brazilian" steakhouse! After eating at Chama Gaucho over 5 times, Fogo de Chaco taste and feel like the Walmart of Brazilian Restaurants...The cuts were over or under cooked. The service was dull and forced as if they had better plans for the evening. We had to wait and wait to get service or get our drinks refilled...I will NEVER recommend it and make sure family and friends stay away...for what they charge...seriously, not worth it!

Yelp
Went to their new location and the food was mediocre no variety of meats mostly sausage and chicken. Looks like they may be trying to turn a higher profit by serving lower quality. Will stick with chama gaucha,
