Fogo

"Fogo boasts a unique decorative style, the culinary hallmark of chef Alexandre Silva, and a name (“fire”) that says it all! The menu showcases dishes that maximise the finest products, many of which are cooked on the grill or baked in the oven." - Michelin Inspector

This restaurant is a MUST if you're visiting Lisbon. The staff is friendly and just amazing. They will help you with recommendations. The atmosphere is modern and updated. The staff is not rushing you to leave. You went on a Thursday so they were enough seating even if you did not make a reservation. The food....wow....we were so impressed by the food. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. This was my first time and maybe my only time going to Fogo since I'm visiting from a different country but they come highly recommended!! 5/5

It was a great dinner and overall experience 👌 very well executed dishes where you could really taste the smoke and use of fire or animal fat but always in balance with fresh and vibrant flavors or acidity. Staff is very friendly & service minded

Good place to dine out, expensive but the food is actually worth it, starter and main dishes were on point, the indoor cozy and easy to talk across the table (no loud music/sounds). In comparison, the chocolate pie itself was subpar (in comparison), the cream itself was ok. God knows why they don't have Coke/Coca-Cola and that almost made me want to cry. Can't give 5 stars.

I had an amazing experience discovering this wonderful restaurant! Eduardo made us feel at home with a unique joy. The Tomahawk Steak and the Prawn Rice made the dinner very special! The wine list is very well curated, and all the dishes are prepared meticulously, reflecting exceptional care in the gastronomy. Congratulations to Alexandre Silva and his entire team for the excellent service and dedication! I can’t wait to return and enjoy more pleasant moments here!

Fogo means “fire” in Portuguese. I received a recommendation from friends, and I have no regrets. The evening turned out to be one of the best culinary experiences I’ve had this year. As the name suggests, the restaurant’s philosophy revolves around cooking over an open flame. Here, you can savor traditional Portuguese dishes with a modern twist. The meat is perfectly prepared, infused with the rich aroma of wood smoke. I highly recommend the duck served with deliciously prepared rice, the oysters with a hint of burning wood, and the incredible fish tartare. The service is both professional and friendly. Be sure to ask about the available fish options, as they often have fresh selections beyond the regular menu. The experience is completed by an intriguing interior design and a well-curated wine selection. Highly recommended!

I had lunch at Fogo on Saturday. The restaurant was moderately busy, with a comfortable number of guests that allowed for a pleasant atmosphere without excessive noise. I was seated at a table in the center and enjoyed observing the well-dressed and attractive guests in their 30s that were the majority. The service was friendly and efficient, leaving me with no complaints. The food was also enjoyable, although I wouldn't claim that the beef tartar I had was the best I've ever had. It was good, but not exceptional. The grilled skate and lemon dessert were both delicious enough. While these dishes may not be memorable for months, they were of a consistently high quality. Fogo is a good choice for lunch or dinner with friends, but it's important to manage your expectations and not expect culinary miracles.

By far one of the best places I have been to in Portugal. Food, service, atmosphere all top notch and extremely good value for money for a Michelin star restaurant. The creme brulee was the best I ever had.

Author restaurant in Lisbon. Servers were kind and attentive. Kitchen can be seen from the table and the wood fired oven where the rice is cooked. Appetizers were very good. Main dish (pork tenderloin) could have been better. One cocktail was well crafted and liked it. Price point is high.
