Folded Hills Montecito Tasting Room

We are members and frequent the tasting room and the ranch as much as we can. This is the best winery membership we have experienced. The personal touch from staff and ownership, events, experiences, offerings, etc. is thoughtful, exceptionally curated, and very fun!

Such a cute quaint place to visit. I had the best customer service and their staff was so friendly. I enjoyed my experience and had a lovely time just relaxing and drinking wine. There August Red is our favorite wine. We had the best views of the mountains and the best part was they had an animal farm waking distance. That by far was the highlight of our visit. The farm animals were so adorable and we were able to pet them and feed them. It was truly a humble experience.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this small and intimate wine tasting place, and it was a delightful experience. The staff were nice and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain each selection of wine for our tasting. They offered reds and whites, catering to different preferences. The intimate setting added to the charm of the experience, allowing for a more personalized tasting. Overall, it was a good experience, and the quality of the wine certainly did not disappoint.

Folded Hills' Montecito Tasting Room is the perfect mix of casual luxury and genuine hospitality. The space is warm, inviting, and beautifully designed, making it an easy place to settle in with a glass of their biodynamically farmed, organically grown, low-intervention wines. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to share the Folded Hills story with kindness and enthusiasm. Right on Coast Village Road, it's a surprising and delightful little escape--perfect for a relaxed afternoon of great wine and good company.

I’ve been a member for years and will continue until I can’t anymore! Always such a great experience and the wine is amazing. I also love that the same people work each time I come in, which is so refreshing.

Christian was amazing! Very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating! I love that he was able to tell me about the history of the vineyard and the family that owns it. I like to go to different places and learn about the wine making process and Christian was well versed on how Folded Hill makes each wine. Thank you for a great experience!!

Love the biodynamic, organic, downright earthy focus of their wines. The tasting was divine. I was most looking forward to the reds, but actually liked all of them.....a rarity in my world. I was not a white wine lover before, but they made me one! Their wines have an elevated, light quality. There on a quiet weekday afternoon and it was peaceful. Sat outside, with a view of the recent roundabout construction. A bit gritty, but their small courtyard has an enclosure, and really after a few sips of wine, you'll be transported anyway. Inside seating is very stylized and looks really comfortable~casual. Excellent, knowledgeable service. Highly recommend.

Best wine in the game. We love this wine club, and appreciate how wonderful the staff is. We always make a point to visit, and LOVE the farmstead location.

My husband Matt B. and I both worked most of Memorial Day weekend, so the day after, we treated ourselves to a luxurious little break at the Folded Hills tasting room. It felt illicit on a couple levels--we were drinking at 3:30 on a Tuesday when we'd barely gone out at all over the last year. This tasting room is a relatively new addition to Coast Village Road (pre-pandemic, I think, but maybe just barely), and we got curious when we drove by, as it was so close to us and we thought it would be fun to drink wine outside. The patio set-up was great, relaxing and breezy, and service was solid. The woman helping us gave a good amount of background on the winery and specific wines as she poured our flights. Each tasting was $25 (one fee would've been waived with the purchase of three bottles, with most bottles in the $25 to $50 range) and included five decent splashes of wine: the 2020 Lilly Rose, the 2018 Grant Grenache, the 2018 August Red, and the 2018 Adolphus Syrah, with an extra pour of our choice. I liked everything, but my favorite was the grenache, which was actually cheaper than the other reds, so I got another splash of that one. We also had a little snack, the Cailloux cheese charcuterie box, which came with three cheeses, salami, Castelvetrano olives, Marcona almonds, and crackers. I wouldn't recommend this, honestly. It wasn't terrible, but it was $20 and had the presentation and borderline staleness of an airplane meat and cheese box. In any case, this was a lovely mid-day outing, one I'd be happy to repeat. If you're looking to drink some wine on a nice patio in Montecito, I'd recommend a visit to the Folded Hills tasting room.

My friends and I were riding bikes through montecito and passed by Folded Hills. Never heard of the winery before but it looked cute so we went for some outdoor tasting. :) I can't actually remember what bottle we got but it was one of the red blends. At first, I wasn't a fan, but as I kept drinking it (or maybe as I let it breathe), it got better. I ended up buying a bottle! I also appreciate that the winery is health conscious. They advertise as having 0 residual sugars, 1 (or less than 1) carb, and low sulfates, which just brings more comfort to a gal who is trying to enjoy a glass of wine but also pursue keto.

First off, Natalie and Niko (and I'm sure the rest of the staff) are absolutely fantastic. Knowledgeable, accommodating, friendly, etc... they are great and made my first experience here truly memorable. Come for a super unique Rose and and a weird, but surprisingly great, Carbonic Grenache. All-in-all great times here and can't wait to go back.

My guests and myself enjoyed the August White so much and also the Red we purchased with the image of Polo Boots and Mallets on the label. Not only are the wines like having a Couture Designer bottles to enjoy. I just love to shop there with the candles, hats, vests and shirts and every time I see the video of the Farm in Buellton, I need to make that trip up there for wine tasting experience. Thank you for being a Sponsor for the Santa Barbara Polo Club and your son is an incredible player. Also, if you had gift cards of your Polo imagery that would be great addition for your shipments or pick up for your members.

I signed up for the wine tasting and talk about Earth Day History and how sustainable growing procedures relate to the Folded Hills Winery and the organic procedures. After listening to this talk, I must go to the Farm in Buellton and if they have a Charity Polo Match that would be the ultimate.

My visiting family and friends loved this spot. It was lovely, welcoming, and relaxed, with few but delicious snacks.

I was really excited to try this place as it's been on my bucket list for awhile. I tried the white sampler and there really was only one white and the other two were a rose which was yummy and a red that was on the lighter side. However, I would give this place a try again perhaps an actual tasting so I can better understand their wine.

Deliciousness right here on Coast Village Road. The tasting flight has something for everyone. Grenache Blanc Roussanne Blend. Two different Grenache Syrah Blends. And Estate Grenache Reserve. And a fancy-schmancy tasting room. Loving it. Thank you Linda and Riley for taking good care of us all. Conveniently located next to Los Arroyos, and across the street from Montecito Inn, Lucky's Steak House, and Honor Bar.

Terrible service, rude RUDE wait staff who badmouthed four local businesses-- within walking distance. Wow. Who even cares if your wine is okay. The entire atmosphere was off off off. Not a good way to make friends y'all. NOT recommended.

Wonderful and inviting experience. Will be back and hope to visit the vineyard after learning more. Enjoyed the fight from rose to the club reserve red blend.

My mom, sister, nephew, and I enjoyed a lovely morning wine tasting at this tasting room. Our pourer, Jenna, was personable, knowledgable, and made our visit a delight. The wines were all delicious! We sat outside for maximum enjoyment, but the inside of the tasting room was inviting and warm. Make a visit, if you're ever in the area!

Only had 1 selection of wine - not much of a wine tasting if you only have rose wine. Waitress was not very friendly and a bit rude at times.

Everything about this place is "fine" and nothing is a stand out. Their is nothing to complain about theprice, ambiance service and quality of wine but also nothing to really recommend

The long awaited opening of Folded Hills Tasting Room in Montecito is finally here (day 3 and counting)! I had first tasted their Folded Hills wine at a Santa Barbara Nature Museum event and was happy to know that they'd be opening this tasting room, plus another tasting room off the 101 near their Nojoqui farmstead. Located right off Olive Mill and Coast Village, the tasting room is extremely clean and modern. MJ, Megan and Lauren are extremely welcoming and just as excited as I am. Their tasting menu includes a Rosé, White, two Grenaches and a Red blend for $25 a person. I'm a fan of red wines primarily so I enjoyed the Grenaches, however their Rosé and White will be perfect for this coming summer.

We loved this place! We were greeted by a beautiful smiling face and welcomed in. MJ told us great tidbits about the wine and the Busch family as she poured. The Twenty One was my favorite story. Every single wine was amazing. MJ made the tasting! We liked it so much our friends joined the wine club. I suspect we will too! Thank you MJ for a great evening tasting! We will see you soon!

Such an amazing winery! Among my favorite of all Central California wineries. The staff is amazing and the wine is soooo delicious! You won't be disappointed.

As always love Folded HILLS wines!! I became a reserve member in 2021 and their wines have become my favorites!!

My wife and I stopped by on a Friday afternoon for some wine tasting. Clara and Linda welcomed us and treated us wonderfully. It was very casual and welcoming and the wines were superb! I think my favorite was the Cluster Carbonic Grenache while my wife enjoys the August White. We will certainly be back!

I not a member, but I am a local and I have been there a handful of times. And apart from the Reserve Grenache, I had a while ago, this tasting room is mediocre at best.

A must visit for locals and people coming from al around! The atmosphere is great and the wine is even better!

This is such a cozy neighborhood tasting room. It is the ONLY tasting room in Montecito. We learned about this new winery after visiting the estate tasting room in the valley only to find out they have a tasting room right in the lower village of Montecito. My husband and I love to walk Butterfly Beach with our dog and then pop in for a glass or two of wine. Great spot!
