Follonico

After the hustle and bustle of Venice we were happy to arrive at the lovely Follonico farmhouse in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Fabio and Suzanne had made a wonderful dinner with pasta and veggies from their farm and we enjoyed eating family style and chatting with the other guests. |The location was 20 minutes from Podere Il Casale where we took a cooking class and enjoying eating the meal we had prepared - a fun evening. These few days were the best part of our adventure and wish we had stayed longer! |A car or driver is necessary for this location, and rooms best suited for couples.

Follonico is truly such a special place. My partner and I loved every moment, the care and attention to detail that Suzanne and Fabio bring to everything here is remarkable. They are so genuinely kind, making our stay feel warm and personal. The grounds, the room, the communal dining space, the meals, the view—everything was unreal! It was an unforgettable trip that we’re already dreaming about revisiting. Could not recommend Follonico enough!

Cannot speak highly enough of this place! The design of the rooms, the owners Fabio and Suzann, the quality of their food and wine, and the amenities (pool and hot tub). We were not expecting to have a home cooked meal in their home and what a pleasure it was dining and talking with other guests about their travels. We will definitely be back again!

My wife and I stayed at Follonico in July 2024 for three nights and it was such a special experience for us. The property is so rustic and charming with a large salt water pool and incredible views. We stayed in the MONTEPULCIANO room which was simple but provided everything we needed. We loved it! We truly felt at home at Follonico and Fabio and Suzanne were incredible hosts. Fabio made us the most delicious meals and even made me unsweetened iced tea every morning for breakfast. You absolutely must have dinner there if you are staying on a night when it is offered. Everything was fresh and flavorful and more than we could eat. We recommend trying their wine as well! This was our first time in Tuscany and we learned that having a car is a must! There are so many surrounding medieval villages with restaurants, shops and churches to explore. We also went to a small, family owned winery that Fabio recommended that was wonderful. Staying at Follonico was such a nice way to slow down during our busy trip to Italy and visits to the surrounding big, touristy cities.

My wife and I stayed at Follonico for four nights as part of our honeymoon, and it was absolutely perfect! Suzanne and Fabio have done an amazing job creating a beautiful, authentic, serene agriturismo experience. The location was perfect for us—10 minutes away from Montepulciano and 20 minutes from Pienza, it was easy to get to the towns we wanted to explore but we also felt tucked away in the hills of Tuscany. We stayed in the Montefollonico room and it was decorated beautifully. There is a private hot tub on the patio of that room which we would 100% have loved if we were there in a cooler month. The view from the tub is amazing! It was very hot when we were there, so we spent hours at the pool every afternoon which is simply breathtaking. Finally, we loved the breakfasts every day and the dinner we had. Fabio is a great chef and Suzanne and Fabio deliver a wonderful dining experience! Follonico feels like an authentic Tuscan experience with all the comforts you would want on a special trip. I hope we can return one day!!

It was the second time already that we got the chance to stay at Fabio’s and Suzanne’s beautiful and peaceful place where every corner is made with lots of love to the detail. We enjoyed not only the place itself but also the homegrown organic and delicious foods and wine, good talks with other guests and the very special and great company of Fabio and Suzanne. In addition, we as a Family with two kids felt more than welcome. Thanks for everything. We miss your place already and looking forward to come back soon hopefully! We can more than recommend it to everyone who is looking for something very special with heart ❤️!

What wonderful place to stay! So happy we found Follonico when planning our holiday to Italy. We stayed here for a full week, and it could not have been any better. The room was lovely, bed was great, the homemade breakfast and dinner with their own grown veggies or local ingredients were delicious, and as for the views you won’t find it any better. Just beautiful! Spent everyday by the salt pool, which was so nice and beautifully done, to cool off, read and relax. I can not wait to visit again! Suzanne and Fabio work super hard to make the stay as best possible for everyone and it shows, they are lovely. Thank you both for making us feel at home! See you again for sure :)

A wonderful place in the heart of Tuscany. Great rooms with amazing detail such as linen sheets and sparkling water. Suzanne is a wonderful and absolute gem! The views from the entire property are breathtaking. And they allow dogs which is always a huge plus. They even offered me coffee before the official breakfast which I highly appreciate :)
