"A flamboyant, Miami-inspired megaresort with thousands of rooms, dozens of restaurants and bars, a notable public art collection including monumental sculptures, and a hotel-within-a-hotel comprising ultra-spacious, panoramic suites on the tower's top floors." - Matt Villano
"A major resort on the Las Vegas Strip that recently became unionized under the Culinary Workers Union Local 226 and Bartenders Union Local 165, marking a milestone for casino workers in Las Vegas." - Mona Holmes
"Saying that Fontainebleau is the longest-awaited of any Las Vegas property is no hyperbole: In fact, the 729-foot-high tower (the tallest hotel in Las Vegas) was topped out in 2008 but sat vacant through several ownership changes before Jeffrey Soffer’s Fontainebleau Resorts reclaimed it in 2021—and unveiled the final product in one of the most star-studded and lavish parties in Las Vegas history at the end of 2023. The hotel is a soaring tribute to the original architect of its iconic Miami Beach sister property, Morris Lapidus, complete with a massive oval lobby, monolithic bow-tie-shaped porte cochere, and other midcentury-modern glam details. The 67-story Fontainebleau features 3,644 rooms in several categories that afford incredible views of either the mountains or the Strip from floor-to-ceiling windows. There are some truly new-to-Vegas experiences on the dining front: Numbering among the 36 restaurants and lounges are Mother Wolf, which doles out Roman pizza and hand-cut pasta; and the witty Washing Potato, serving up dim sum and street food. The clever Reboot Lounge offers everything from a signature foot massage to compression therapy for legs (great for recovering from a long flight). Fontainebleau takes all the best Las Vegas amenities, adds a bit of Miami glamor, and supersizes everything on a massive stage. —Emily Gordon"
"Making its debut as another icy escape, the Oasis Ice Rink is all elegance at Fontainebleau this winter. Two rinks spanning 8,000 feet will house perks like holiday cabanas and seasonal films, as part of the resort’s Winter Wonderland extravaganza. Bottle service of Veuve Clicquot Rosé and Yellow Label joins gourmet snacks in the rink’s Winter Village through early January 2025. After skating, warm up inside at the Navidad Azul pop-up and take in decor and drinks that balance upscale and festive." - Jennifer Smith
"There are plenty of places to have a chic romantic dinner around town, but the same can't be said for breakfast. Except for La Fontaine, with its manicured floral arrangements and furniture in pastel shades of pink and magenta. Their “le caviar” eggs might be our new favorite morning meal: a fancy trio of egg custard topped with a mound of caviar, comté emulsion, and fluffy potato pillows. If you’re not feeling caviar, order the soufflé pancakes or lobster eggs benedict with a generous portion of seafood on potato rosti. This is also a nice pick for early risers, since they open at 7am." - Melinda Sheckells
