"Torre Vella offers a slightly more bohemian vision than its sister hotel, Santa Ponsa. But the difference is a matter of character, not quality — it’s got a personality all its own, but is no less comfortable, or less seductive." - Guide MICHELIN

We did the sunset picnic on a cliff which was absolutely spectacular. We weren’t staying at the hotel but after touring it and experiencing the sunset picnic, I wish we were! Staff were accommodating and very kind. We will be back!

This is our sort of hotel. Small, discrete, unpretentious and no flashy ‘bells and whistles’. If you are looking for a buzz, cocktail bars, full on spa, many restaurants etc then this is not the place for you. Hotel is tastefully decorated and restored and you really feel part of the countryside. Our room (no1) was delightful, tastefully decorated, with lovely outside garden; the only comment being that the entrance v close to outside diners. So noise might be an issue in some of the rooms if busy outside eating late at night in the courtyard. |We loved the simple restaurant and limited menu, focusing on local ingredients and grilled food. So much nicer than some of the flashier offers from nearby hotels|Lovely and helpful small staff, who looked after us very well. On our last night we had an issue of noise from the air conditioning unit in our room, so they simply moved us to a better available room without us even asking.|Our only small suggestions: please not to leave the laundry trolley sitting outside the hotel for most of the day!!. A distinct eyesore in an otherwise beautiful and considered setting. And umbrellas and beds by the pool are immovable so there were periods where no shade, so we had to sit indoors. Small points which i hope they address.|Hotel is paired with the nearby Santa Ponsa which does have spa and bigger gardens and more formal restaurant if you want that…

This was a wonderful experience. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The photos on the website do not do the place justice. The rooms were modern, spacious and comfortable. The grounds are very extensive, with vineyards, and the cliff top aperitif experience whilst watching the sunset over the Mediterranean will stay with us for many years. Contrary to some reviews the kitchen does offer cocktails and eggs for breakfast, and the breakfast was lovely. Dinner in the courtyard is lovely. The sister hotel offers treatments and an indoor swimming pool, and is in amazing grounds. I agree the air-con could be a bit cooler for those used to UK weather!

Overall we had a good stay at Torre Vella. It is a lovely property - feels like a truly remote farmhouse with a lovely pool area, delicious breakfast and dinner as well as great additional extras such as free yoga every morning which was super. Unfortunately there were just a few things that could be improved to make our stay better. 1) Sunset drinks - we were really keen to join this but at 38 Euros a person, it didn't seem worth it given I am pregnant to attend as it was all drinks focussed. We shared this and asked if there was anything they could do about it and they answer was a simple no which was really disappointing and a bit of a shame. 2) Breakfast - offering was quite limited - more fresh fruit needed and need to provide 2 x eggs vs 1 as part of the hot food offering which also made it not a very relaxing experience when you are half waiting for your eggs, half wanting to make your toast etc. 3) I was served undercooked monkfish and when I raised this with the restaurant, it wasn't handled hugely well (despite sharing that I am pregnant hence the concern) - no discount or free pudding etc. was offered to make up for it.|Overall - we enjoyed it, but we didn't leave with a warm feeling and I don't think we would return.

The most peaceful experience my wife and I have had at a hotel in the mediterranean. We could not have been more happy! We were in total awe of the property upon arrival. Every detail of the property is so thoughtfully considered. We really liked the location as it was central to the beautiful beaches on the southern coast and not too far away from any point of interest. The first night was our favorite. My wife and I rode bikes down to their cliff aperitif for sunset followed by dinner at their restaurant. It was one of the best nights of our lives! I think what was extra special for us was the timing. We went in late september/early october and felt like we had an exceptional amount of privacy. In the morning, we would be the only ones at the pool until noon. And at dinner, there would only be a few couples eating. I found out at check out that we were actually upgraded at no extra cost! When there was some issues with the A/C in our room they provided a small but courteous discount on all 3 nights. Though it is the most I personally would want to pay for a hotel but the quality of the experience matched the price very well. Do not hesitate to book!

Central Menorca is beautiful but there's not a lot there; Torre Vella is therefore in a very peaceful spot with good cycling. the rooms were well appointed, good bathrooms, appreciated the bottle of rose. The staff at breakfast were attentive, and paid attention to cleanliness. the sunset experience is quite special, I loved its rustic nature and the views over the sea; it's great that it is a reasonable walk, and the seating so in character. only complaint is that the aircon was broken throughout and no-one apologised, although they did provide 2 good fans. I recognise it was beyond their control but its unusual not to address this more quickly at this level of hotel.

Friendly service but very inattentive. ||Had sirloin steak ordered medium, arrived rare and not even warm. The quality of the sirloin, which I believe was not Sirloin, was not what you would expect from a Relais Château gastronomy. It was chewy although good in taste. ||||The sauces served came directly out of the jar so the mustard sauce. The fried Potatoes had an bland and industrial taste and were not crisp at all. ||||I don’t know what happened to this place. Last year we had an exceptional lunch there and were not disappointed at all.||Not this time, unfortunately.

Our decision to stay in Menorca was very last minute due to its green status, and we were highly frazzled from successive lockdowns in need of restoration.||||Torre Vella was a wonderful choice, combining sublime dining every evening (we cancelled all other reservations as the dinners in the restaurant were so outstanding - high praise indeed from three vegetarians) with the characterful and tasteful design in the villas and rooms. The caring and dedicated team that took such care of us every single day were genuine and kind. We had the most fabulous time, and we are not exactly easily pleased. We check out of more five star hotels than we stay in, as holidays are too precious to waste with the mediocre. However this concept of hotel based in a rural setting has a heart, it has soul - it feels authentic and deeply connected with the nature and wildlife that surrounds it.||||We enjoyed almost every aspect, the setting overlooking the vineyards and rolling hills, the African swallows dancing in the skies every evening - the sheer tranquility of bird song and warm golden sunshine was soothing and deeply relaxing.||||The big fluffy towels, soft and comforting bed linens and deep baths helped ensure a restful night, and indeed the spa treatments (held in house) but there is also a spa a few minutes away only added to our well being. I can highly recommend the massages.||||The children enjoyed cycling (on site), sailing and the picnics on the beach - and the vistas of the sea from the cliffs (you can walk easily to get there). The wild beaches and some of the older cities in Menorca are really beautiful.||||Overall, it was a truly wonderful holiday, and we fully intend to return soon.
