18 months ago it was great for getting the box. And in the paper it said they got over $70 million a year for food. Donations. And then right after that, it started becoming less than half a box. Just got another one today and there was one apple and the second apple was Rotted. What is going on? I’d hate to say somebody is patting their pockets because they’ll take this down. What the hell just hit us? Especially when food is a surprise as it is right now.?

This is NOT a Food Bank. Its a food distribution center. They provided a list of all the food banks in anchorage, offered coffee/tea and even let me use the bathroom. Complimentary candy as well. Friendly staff.

Donated a lot food. I was not even aware they could weigh it before that. Turned out we had 94 lbs of food we donated. Makes we want to donate more and try to make it to 100lbs. Very helpful employee who helped us too

I think about the Food Bank when it gets colder and I try to donate twice in the fall/winter. We hit Costco and bought 20 Doz. fresh eggs. It's one of their items they always are in need of. The protein in eggs and it's countless uses in various recipes is welcome but since it's perishable so it has to delivered to their Spar Ave. location. They accept dry goods and we bought some Spaghetti Noodles to give too from Costco along with some canned goods from home that gently went out of expiration. Peace, love and a full belly to the folks here in Alaska!
