Food Bank of Central New York

The local food pantries are life savers. The staff and volunteers are great people. If you’re ever in need stop by All Faith Food Pantry, Assumption Church or Samaritan Church. There’s more of them, this was just the ones I’ve been to.

They should be ashamed what they have charged me for, lawn was destroyed before me, I did run over, but only at the corner and you can see even at google maps that that all corners are destroyed, they don’t have curbs lights were off, this is how they make money..... never again, They charged me 400$ for 39m of lawn repair

Truck drivers information: They begin at seven in the morning, although their trucks are given first preferences 8:00 am is when they begin for other deliveries and pickups. If a vehicle doesn't show up, they will give preference to another. They operate on an appointment basis. The receiving team is exceptionally polite and efficient; the truck is fully loaded and unloaded in half an hour.

Valley Worship Midland Ave site is horrible. Volunteers are rude. Says it starts at 3pm but when you get there at 3 they tell you they're all out. Waited for my ride to leave and I see all the volunteers leaving with 6-8 boxes of food a piece. I said I thought their was no more. She said we get to pick ours before we start. SMH.

Volunteered at this facility and it was amazing. Everyone was really friendly and it felt great to participate in something that helps our community.

Went to donate several bags of food and the guy at the loading dock wanted me to wait until he finished loading a truck. I asked if I could just place them by the door as I had to get to work and he said no I can wait. So I sat for about 10 minutes before leaving. Their hours for donation drop off is not friendly to the average working hours and they need to invest in a donation box so people can just leave donations. They also should have signage as to where to bring donations so youre not driving around the building and going into different doors trying to figure out where to go. I now have a trunk full of donations with nowhere to leave them.

I am disgusted how we were treated by this place! My Uncle gifted them nearly a half of million dollars after death and it took them over a year and a half to EVEN acknowledge the gift or EVEN thank him or me!! I guess a half of a million dollars wasn’t enough, maybe you have to donate a million dollars to this place to get a thank you or have an email or phone call returned after 4 months or a picture printed in a newsletter or social media to thank you for such an enormous gift?! Friends of his have died while waiting for acknowledgement! After 4 months of no response from the Executive director I contacted the president and 2 others and all were totally unapologetic. Zero compassion nor gratitude nor any respect for my dead uncle or me from these people after receiving and USING an astonishingly generous gift. It is beyond comprehension.
