Where to Eat at the Grand Canyon

"A day outdoors is certain to work up an appetite — and sometimes the only thing that will satisfy is breakfast food. This casual spot serves all-day breakfast, with omelets and French toast on the menu. But ravenous diners can also find sky-high salads, sandwiches, and pasta bowls. And, with its location near the rim, the views are not bad either." - Krista Diamond, Janna Karel

As vegetarians on the road we are always struggling to find GOOD FOOD in remote locations. The Foodie Club delivered beyond our expectations. We had the Veggie Sandwich and a Veggie Breakfast Burrito- both absolutely delicious. Cute and warm atmosphere- don’t be discouraged by the fact that it is “order at the counter”… they even had a small full bar with two beers on tap. Very friendly staff! We may come back for breakfast in the morning!

Stopped on our way to the Grand Canyon. Cute place to stop with clean bathrooms. Best Southwest grilled chicken salad we’ve ever had. One person in our group said the hotdog was good too (3.5/5). Quick and friendly service from Earnest. The place was empty when we arrived, but was filling up when we left.

Everything here is phenomenal! Eat here! The people are great! The food is great! People that complain about prices think McDonald's is food too. THANK YOU for great food and great service! Sorry about the photo of the omelet, I was haflway through having such a good time I forgot to take a GOOD picture. The parfait was almost too pretty to eat!

Google
prices aren't great, but thats cuz youre at the grand canyon... the $16 breakfast burrito was underseasoned but had potential to be much better... my son had fettuccine with chicken ($20) and said it was fine...

Stopped to pickup some breakfast before entering the park. Parking was right outside and easy to find. The place was not super busy and service was pretty fast. I got the pancho footlong hot dog which was pretty good and appetizing. My wife got the foodies omelette which came with a side of potatoes which were pretty good. The omelette was filling and I would recommend that.

Google
Great place to stop for a bite after leaving the Gand Canyon! Nothing fancy, but just good food and served fast. Me & my husband both got the omelette with sausage, tomatoes & onions - which was really tasty! Service was very nice and friendly.

Google
Overpriced, poor quality food. Was given a vegan burger that was not disclosed on the menu as a vegan item. $68 bill for 1 burger, 1 Alfredo, and 1 mozz stick. With 2 beers. Definitely do not recommend to anybody. Wendy’s has better food for cheaper next door. Mozzarella sticks were served cold and marinara sauce taste like dishwater. Honestly wish we would’ve picked another place, severely disappointed feels like I’ve been robbed.

Google
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) I recently visited Foodie Club and had an all-around excellent experience. The food was delicious, with generous portions that truly satisfied my appetite. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure everything was perfect. As an Indian, I particularly appreciated the portion sizes, which were very generous. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, the quality and taste of the food made it worth every penny. Overall, I highly recommend Foodie Club for anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Yelp
This place should 100% have 5 stars! We spent the day hiking down and back up the Canyon and did some walking at the top of the rim the entire day. Needless to say we were super hungry and tired by the end of the day. We wanted a tasty chill meal to wrap up our day. As soon as we walked in a very sweet young lady approached us and handed us menus. We had the place to ourselves which was great. The dining area was clean and had kind of an industrial garage feel with wooden chairs to warm up the vibe. You order at the counter and your food is brought to you. The tables are stocked with multiple hot sauce options, salt & pepper, sweetners and flavored creamer if you were having coffee w breakfast, which is served all day BTW. I ordered the Sante Fe salad and my husband had the Steak Sandwich with fries. My salad was a served in a nice big bowl filled with a generous portion of fresh greens topped with cotija cheese, lots of fresh avocado, black bean & corn salsa, delicious marinated grilled chicken breast, & sliced tomatoes. It had so much flavor I didn't even need or use any dressing. The steak sandwich was served on a big fresh ciabatta bun stuffed with tasty carne asada steak cooked with onions and a tasty sauce that wasn't overwhelming. It added just the right amount of flavor. The cheese was melted and ooey gooey with some sort of creamy spread on the bun. The fries were crispy and salted to perfection. We got a strawberry shake to share to go too & it was delicious. It seemed to have fresh blended strawberries in it too. Yum!! This place NEEDS 5 starts people. If you want delicious food, chill environment and great quick service Foodie Club is your spot.

Yelp
The Foodie Club is half a restaurant and half a convenience store. They have a bar set up for the night. The omelette is a French style. There were about 4 pieces of bacon mixed with onions and spinach. Solid quick breakfast spot before the Grand Canyon.

Yelp
To the person reading this, all reviews you see on food locations are true. Food quality in this area is not great. The restaurants quality here is akin to the McDonald's in the area. So go in with very low expectations. This spot is ok, food is just pretty flavorless. Got the ultimate breakfast burrito and it was greatly lacking in flavor/seasoning. The "salsa" and I use that term loosely, that was provided with the burrito smelled and taste more like a marinara than a salsa. Would have gone better with fried cheese sticks than a burrito. My children got the other breakfast burrito they offer and it was 95% egg. For the price it was insane. Customer service was also lacking and dry. All the tables were dirty when we got there which I mean not a big deal to wait a second but it wasn't busy so seeming like they just let the tables sit. If I were to visit the area again I'd just pack my own food and things to cook on. Save the money for more souvenirs or another nights stay.(also sorry but don't believe the 5 star reviews as they offer a discount for leaving reviews)

Yelp
Great food! This is a check in to add pictures only. Stop here if visiting Grand Canyon!

Yelp
My husband and I visited once in July 2024. I had a mediocre latte but good granola yogurt with fruit: fresh blueberries and strawberries and defrosted mango. My husband had a decent egg croissant with hash browns and sausage. The cafe sells soda, candy, and individual cans/bottles of beer. They have a bar with 5 chairs. In my opinion nearby Plaza Bonita is a better option for dinner but this cafe is nice for a light breakfast . The place is very clean. We saw the server sweeping the floor. You order at a counter or kiosk. The cafe is well staffed. The service is very good. A server offered us water. The place is family friendly. The cafe is within easy walking distance of several hotels. There is some outdoor seating and ample indoor seating. This is a great local alternative to the Starbucks across the street. Shop local. This cafe opened in 2020. A number of years ago the location was occupied by RP Stagestop.

Yelp
For the area, we were very happy. I got the chicken bacon ranch wrap and it didn't disappoint. Very tasty and the serving size was huge. The service was fast and our waitress was very sweet!

Yelp
Got the breakfast sandwich (croissant sandwich with egg, cheese, and choice of protein - I got sausage). It comes with a side of potatoes. The croissant was crispy, but was pretty tasteless. Some parts of the sandwich were just croissant so the inside could have been spread out more. It could also have been cheesier. The sausage was too salty. I ordered my egg over easy, but it was more over medium which was fine since over easy would have been more messy. My bf got the breakfast burrito and he loved it. It was $14.50 for each item. Solid spot for a quick breakfast

Yelp
My friend and I checked in at the Grand Canyon Plaza Hotel right before 10PM. That didn't really give us too many dining options. There was a Mexican place or Foodie Club. We flipped a coin and ended up at Foodie Club. You order at the counter then your food is brought to you. I ordered the carne asada fries (in burrito form) and my friend ordered the club sandwich. Service was quick and our food came out within a few minutes. I like that they have a few different hot sauces to choose from in the condiments section. I went with Valentina's hot sauce for my burrito. The burrito was a decent size and it taste pretty good. A good mix of flavors and textures. Definitely solid. My only gripe is it was $21. I haven't eaten at any other restaurants around the Grand Canyon yet but I imagine prices are similar everywhere else unless you eat at Wendy's or McDonald's. For what it's worth my friend said his club sandwich was "alright". Place was clean. Service was fast and friendly. It's cool that they also serve alcohol and part of the establishment is like a convenience store. In a pinch I'd come here again, but it's nothing to write home about.

Yelp
Ok, let me tell you a secret. This is where you want to go for a great homemade horchata! I wouldn't have expected to find such a great drink here, but it was a pleasant surprised. So, after a long day of travel we finally made it into Tusayan late in the evening. We were hungry, but not really sure what we wanted to do. Options are somewhat limited in town, but we saw that Foodie Club offered all day breakfast, and that sealed the deal. I ordered an ultimate breakfast burrito with the aforementioned horchata. I inquired of the manager about the horchat whether it was homemade or a powder because it was SO delicious. The burrito was good too, but it wasn't the highlight of my experience. The space is kind of nice. You order at the counter and sit where you want. It was absolutely empty when we were there which was surprising. I can imagine it gets very busy during peak park season. They have a lot of board games you can play, and there is a little conveniece store area as well. Only negatives - I would say it could have been a bit cleaner. When you don't have table service, that can sometimes be overlooked. And my table was wobbly. But that aside, it was a good expeirence, and I would return if I was ever in the area. That horchata....

Yelp
We ordered takeout from the kiosk and it was quick and easy. We got the carne asada fries and a southwest salad. We were pleasantly surprised at the tasty/fresh food. The person who gave us the food seemed friendly. Would stop there again if in the area.

Yelp
Cute, friendly order at the counter place. Food was good and the chocolate milkshake was a nice heat break.

Yelp
Foodie Club is delicious, quick, and is a decent deal. You may notice most restaurants in the area get a 2-3 on Yelp. Any clue why? You are next to the Grand Freakin Canyon. You can't have it all. You want it cheap, and quality, and quick, without consideration for where you are? Then you just failed the IQ test. We had a steak sandwich, and cheeseburger & chicken tenders for our kids. Everything was very good. As good as any nice family restaurant in the big city. Is it a little pricey? Yes it is. But so is everything else in the region. Don't forget, you're on metaphorical beachfront property. There are games for the kids. A small market too. Al things considered, it's a great stop.

Yelp
April 2024 There isn't a lot of restaurants to choose from in this area. This place was overpriced for mediocre food. $21 for a chicken sandwich meal? I ordered the chicken bacon and ranch meal, which honestly my husband and I could have shared. It was just mehhh. We were better off going to the new McDonald's across the street. Skip this place, you'll thank me later.

Yelp
Good spot if you are looking for a good sandwich, wrap or salad. Breakfast served throughout the day so I opted for the Ultimate Breakfast burrito, which turned out to be a great choice. Service was fast and friendly. Prices reasonable. Stop if you are in the area.

Yelp
Refused to pay primo prices for crappy steakhouse food. Also struggled to choose between McDonald's or Wendy's for a meal. Went out on a limb and decided to try Foodie Club and happy we did! Good upbeat music, well stocked bar for beer/wine/cocktails. My Michelada was made perfectly Expect high prices-it's the Grand Canyon! Steak sandwich and the Hot Club sandwich with fries hit the spot! Fresh ingredients, tasty sauces, seasoned meat, soft bread...the cooks know what they're doing! Better than anything we could have gotten in the immediate area. Plenty of indoor seating with a few TVs. Would definitely recommend anyone to eat here and would come back again. Thanks Foodie Club!

Yelp
Cute place, friendly staff, good selection. Food is good but a bit pricey, typical for a touristy place.

Yelp
Nice staff - GROSS FOOD We were excited to try a restaurant that was not a chain. The interior is cute, the exterior not bad, however, the food was pretty much gross. Take a look at the photo of the crusty slice of cheese on the breakfast sandwich. It was so old it wouldn't even melt. The "scrambled" egg on the sandwich was spread so thin when cooked, that it was actually crunchy and did not resemble the taste of an egg at all. One expects with a business name like "Foodie Club" that they might actually care about the food they are serving, but that was a bad assumption on my part. How it has 3.6 stars is just beyond me. The staff was nice but that did not make up for the nasty breakfast sandwiches. We took a couple of bites but threw the rest away. Waste of money. Also, a plastic container held the water and was sitting on a counter at the front window and the sun was beating down on it. I am not fond of having the sun beating down on plastic where drinking water is stored. I would not revisit this restaurant again. Do yourself a favor and visit Wendy's next door, at least you know what to expect.

Yelp
All I had was a basket of fries, because I needed to replenish my electrolyte reserves after a long, sweaty day of hiking. The portion was large enough that I didn't finish it--but more importantly, it was fried to order, came out hot and crispy, and had a nice potato flavor with a smooth inside. They are the battered kind rather than having visible potato skin, but it's as good a basket of fries of that particular genre as you'd get anywhere. I'd much rather eat here again than eat, well, anywhere on the South Rim.

Yelp
Loved the Cesar salad wrap. The fries were delicious and crispy Fast service The hot chocolate was devine

Yelp
Limited menu but what we did get was very good. Familia had the bacon ranch chicken wraps & yogurt parfait and they were happy as well. Everyone left with a full belly and no complaints.

Yelp
We ate twice and had the Southwest Chicken Wrap with Habanero mustard sauce both time! Fresh, tasty, clean, good service and great variety of hot sauces and condiments! I recommend it and will come again!

Yelp
Fast service and very nice Simple but delicious menu options. Stopped in for breakfast and used our 10% discount for staying at the red feather lodge. Great food and then dropped in after our long day at the canyon to pickup a slice of their cheesecake I had been thinking about since breakfast lol I recommend this place above the others of the 4 local places I tried.

Countedx 5.

Yelp
We stopped in here for a quick lunch before driving into Grand Canyon National Park. The food was reasonably priced and fresh. The service was fast. The restaurant was clean, including the restrooms. The decor was appealing. They also had a nice selection of souvenirs. I had the Southwest Salad (menu description: "Flavorful salad! Grilled chicken breast, mixed lettuce, avocado, green onions, tomatoes, black beans, roasted corn, cilantro, queso fresco. Served with honey habanero dressing on side. $17.99"). I had them substitute lime vinaigrette dressing. See photo. My husband had a club sandwich (no photo of that, sorry), and he said it was also fresh and good. We would eat here again.

Yelp
Ambiance was a decent place to hang out. Pub like hangout, sort of. There's a gift shop and plenty of different beers to choose from. What was good? French Fries and the beer batter style Onion Rings. Wife liked the Tuna Melt, and the son liked the Torta, but it wasn't on a proper torta roll. The "bold coffee" on the menu, only tasted like a "good" but yet..."regular" cup of coffee flavor (as a coffee snob, I usually take my coffee black so consider the source) Their Fettuccine Alfred, I mixed it all up and it just still tasted bland and watered down in flavor. Not creamy as you would expect.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
A deli, store, bar restaurant. We got our food quickly the service wasn't over friendly. But not rude or anything. The ingredients for the club were good and it was delicious. The music level was really high had it been warmer we would have sat outside. This might be more of a take out place. Prices are a little high but I think that is common in the area.
google avatar

Barbara B.

Yelp
Unfortunately there aren't any other choices for breakfast unless maybe you want Wendy's.. you order at a counter and then they bring the food to you. I ordered scrambled eggs (because most cooks can't get my order of eggs over medium right and usually can't mess up scrambled eggs). My husband ordered his eggs over HARD! Neither came out right. The over hard were barely over easy and the scrambled were like they just cracked the egg into a pan and slight stirred it. Disgusting!! The potatoes are not fresh, they are frozen. The coffee was very so so.
google avatar

Susi J.

Yelp
I brought family from out of state to see the Canyon. I ordered a gluten free veggie sandwich and asked to substitute the avocado for the provolone cheese. They said yes! But the whole sandwich went up from $ 13.95 to $23.95.! Which I paid for. Then I requested an iced latte advertised for $5.95. Since I requested to sub out the milk it would be $3 more. Told them, hard pass. So if you are eating food and drink w/ no substitutes it will be priced okay. But drinks, go across to Starbucks. And three tiny slices from a tiny avocado is not worth any increase in price.
google avatar

Nate A.

Yelp
Paid $80 for breakfast for 4 including 2 kids. Omelette had an incredible amount of butter added to the vegetables. Potatoes weren't crispy. One of the items was a breakfast sandwich which consisted of eggs and a croissant (my son didn't want meat) and it carried a $15 price tag. This place just feels like a tourist trap and should be avoided at all costs, even if you're desperate for breakfast at noon like we were.
google avatar

Nina W.

Yelp
Had dinner here. The club was good and was hit. My husband had the cheeseburger. He said the patty had no taste and was obviously frozen. Restaurant was clean and staff was kind.

Brent S.

Yelp
Our experience of this place was awful. We are a group of 6 hikes, and walked in after reading some great views. First, there is only one waitress and she also works as cashier. So, you can imagine our group of 6 waited about 30 mins to get our breakfast served. The coffee was ?$5/ cup, and she said the refile was free. But she was too busy taking orders than serve or refill. We can see the pot of coffee few feet away, but yet we don't have coffee... I ordered a Avocado toast. The paper menu said it's served on multigrain toast. But it came with white bread. So, I went to ask her at the front desk. She said I should specify. So, I had to point the wording on the menu to confront her. She said I could select either way. I had to show her again the menu didn't say either, but only multigrain way. She didn't apologize, just coldly said I will bring you a piece of multigrain bread. An other group member ordered something with bacon but the bacon didn't come with her meal. We had to reach to her again. She brought some bacon over. Again no apology. Her reaction make us believe this is her daily normal. The wait time was so long, we saw some people just got up and walked away from the long wait. So travelers be aware.

Janna H.

Yelp
First off, I have eaten here so many times in the last few years and this time will be my last. The QUALITY of food has gone down but price has gone UP. I would drive 30 mins up from valle just to enjoy breakfast and a coffee. The latte I received with additional flavoring had zero flavor to it. I had to go off and fix it myself. The breakfast burrito we ordered used to come with salsa and used to be sooo good. They've definitely changed the ratio because it's filled with majority of eggs and less protein (bacon/sausage) than before... yet the price is $15 vs $10-12 that it used to be. Pancakes were nice and fluffy but syrup had zero taste, and the extra 2.50 for a half sliced up strawberry is a scam.
google avatar

Patricia ..

Yelp
We were at the Grand Canyon and needed to eat at 7am before hiking Bright Angel Trail. There are really no choices to eat in this small town at this hour. So we ordered 2 breakfast burritos not expecting anything special. WHAT, this burrito was the very best tasting and filling item that started our day off to a great beginning. Staff and service were pleasant and quick, restaurant clean and if we lived locally, I would return for another meal.
google avatar

Mary B.

Yelp
Stopped otw into Grand Canyon. We had southwest chicken wrap & steak sub. Chicken was very good, loads of fresh corn, black beans, greens & cilantro. Nice kick to the sauce. Hubby said steak was ok, he ate every bite. Prices a bit high, but quality is better than food inside the park. Stop long before this place for beer/wine to bring into park; 12$ bottle of sav Blanc at home goes for 40$ . Would recommend.

Ed P.

Yelp
Waited 15 minutes to take my order. Waiters pass you and don't ask for you need assistance. They kind ignore you. After 15 minutes I ask how I can place order, and he indifferently point me need to place order at the counter. Counter again is indifferent .
google avatar

Megan W.

Yelp
Service was great & food came out very quickly. Got the steak sandwich and the chicken bacon wrap, both were good. Restaurant and bathroom were clean.

Chris C.

Yelp
First off the guy wearing glasses working the register was a complete as$hole. It was 27 degrees out & I went there for chicken soup. When I placed my order & ordered a drink he looked at me like I was speaking another language & didn't understand. I had to ask how I pick my drink & he said from the cooler. After sitting about 15 mins waiting for our food he came to the table and told me he was out of chicken soup & asked if I wanted meatball soup. Had I been told at the register when I placed my order he was out of soup I would have not ordered. I went next door to the Mexican restaurant and got great service and chicken soup. Dont waist ur time or money at this place..if I could give this place a zero star I would

Pamela K.

Yelp
Ordered blueberry cobbler muffin, got plain walnut instead. No butter. Husbands French toast a D+. Dry. No butter. Had to ask. With coffee total about $30. For 2 small coffees to go, another $12. Ripping off Grand Canyon visitors.

Chase B M.

Yelp
I commit 3 stars to this foodie place. +1 for having full bar +1 for having variety +1 for patio -1 for cost relative to quality -1 for having more aioli (fancy name for mayonnaise) than steak on my steak sandwich.

Yelp
I will be dieting today since there was SO much bread yesterday! We stopped in after our Grand Canyon hike for lunch. I ordered the tuna melt and hubs had the club sandwich. Both were served panini style. Hubs' sandwich was really the star of the show as his sandwich was piled high with tomatoes, onions, lettuce and such. Mine was good- just tuna salad with provolone cheese surrounded by thick slices of bread. So much bread! Both were served with a bag of chips. $32 before tip so it's pricey. They were doing a brisk business tho. Most of the restaurants here are franchise or local owned and have a significant uplift to normal prices since they are the only game near GCNP. Even McDonald's doesn't have a dollar menu- my tea was $2.89 ouch Anyway, you're paying for the convenience and the ambiance right?

Jessica R.

Yelp
Wow my family and I really loved our lunch at Foodie Club! It's so hard to find authentic, quality food here but this place won't disappoint you. The environment was amazing from the music to the jukebox, disco ball, bar, and mini convenient shop :)

Yelp
Fantastic Pancho dog! Place was great!!! And you get 10% off with a jeep tour. !!!!!!!!!

Yelp
This is THE spot to go to if you are near the Grand Canyon. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. I went for breakfast and had the breakfast burrito. It was sooo tasty! Service was very prompt and friendly :) Will definitely be back!

Yelp
BEST SANDWICHES IN TOWN! Limited spots to eat when you're visiting the Grand Canyon but if you want breakfast, lunch or dinner, this will satisfy your hunger. Ordered the Tuna Melt and wow - perfect. My group ordered a variety from a Veggie sandwich, Philly cheesesteak, a wrap and sides of French fries and everything was tasty. Spacious with great service along with snacks to take with you.

sara j.

Yelp
So good! Clean, friendly people and amazing club sandwich!! Pleasant surprise considering right outside the canyon and the amount of people that must pour through here. Definitely not just junk food style food.
google avatar

Edward D.

Yelp
The food is excellent. You order then sit down and they bring it to your table. We had the club sandwich and the chicken ranch wrap. Both items were amazing. The club sandwich has a little spice to it from the cheese and everything was warm. Absolutely delicious! I highly recommend!!!

Gina B.

Yelp
The food was AMAZING! We definitely recommend stopping here! We had the chicken Alfredo and the southwest salad and really enjoyed them both! Super big portions and tasted great! Service was great too!
google avatar

Yelp
Great place for a quick bite after busting the Grand Canyon. Tried the wraps and burgers and both were great. They have a small selection of board and card games which was a fun touch.

Yelp
Food was super good for the price and speed. It definitely is a takeout or very casual dining spot but the food was very good. We had the cheesesteak sandwich, tuna melt and onion rings and they all delivered.
