Foodies Review - Downtown - Miami - The Infatuation

"As you may have noticed, there really aren’t a ton of dim sum options within the City of Miami. That’s one reason why Foodies, a casual spot on the northern edge of Downtown, should be on your radar. Another reason is that the food is good. They not only offer a selection of dim sum dishes like dumplings, pork buns, and beancurd skin roll—but also have Szechuan dishes that are hard to find in Miami, period—like mapo tofu and Szechuan pepper soft shell crab. If you plan on ordering any of that (in addition to the very good dumplings) don’t be shy about telling them you want it spicy. If your server senses any spice hesitation from you, you won’t get that numbing tingle one expects from a proper Szechuan dish." - Ryan Pfeffer

Second time coming to this place. I really enjoy the authentic Chinese food! I had the medium spicy black pepper chicken and was really good(very much spicy). The dimsum was also very good. The staff was very attentive always making sure me and my friend were taken care of. Would definitely recommend coming here if you like spice 😉!

Love the food here, especially the egg with shrimp and the spicy beef in the broth. The place is small very very clean and nice decorated. The service is great and fast. Will definitely comeback.

Tried this place for the first time because it's local and close to our complex. The staff of very inviting and friendly, Tom took exceptional care of us! We tried the dumpling soup, that was rich in umami flavor and perfectly balanced, it really warmed our hearts. Then we had the Dim Sum Platter, that we recommend for everyone to try. For 20 dollars you get to 5 different types of dumplings like scallop, shrimp, crab,,pork and chicken(i hope I identified the flavors correctly), 2 of each, one tastier than the other! Then we had the sticky sour chicken with rice and we found another winner! Everything here is great and everyone should go and try,,support local businesses!

I cannot speak highly enough of Foodies! One search for dim sum in Miami and we were transported to Foodies heaven! Top choice- Singapore noodles and Peking duck! The super thin pancakes and julienned veggies haber the duck so much bite! Tom and staff were amazing, especially when we ordered a few items each. Will definitely return!!!

We spent all day searching for an authentic Chinese cuisine for dinner and we found it!! Our server was amazing (we forgot her name) she was so sweet and attentive. Dim sum was awesome, we also ordered noodles that are not pictures because we ate them so fast !! Rice cakes for dessert are amazing as well. Highly recommend

The food is super authentic. And I can tell they have a very good woks and huge flames to make their dishes🔥 all requires very experienced skills. We ordered sauté lettuce, spicy try fried chicken, and beef chao fen. All Are so delicious and at a very reasonable price considering the location. Service was good too and there are plenty of street parking

Great food, quiet and clean ambience, and very friendly waiters. We tried Peking duck, sweet and sour fish, and some Japanese skewers. Highly recommend Peking duck, a must try!

Surprisingly enjoyed everything BUT the dim sum. Siu mai was tough and overcooked. The star of the show was definitely the scrambled eggs with beef. Pork & green beans was a close second.
