Google
The restaurant specialty is Taiwanese food. I don't have much experience with Taiwanese dishes but my review is based on my personal preference. Everything we ordered was good, although the braised beef was a bit salty and chewy for my preference. Service also was a miss at times. The restaurant vibe is chill and love the retro decor.

I went to Fooki for lunch with a friend and loved everything we ordered! We had the Lu Rou Fan, Shrimp Pork Dumplings, and Mala Chicken, all were delicious and perfectly balanced between sweet, savory, and spicy. The food came out surprisingly fast and was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The restaurant has a cute, cozy ambiance with a nice modern touch. The staff were attentive, kind, and checked in just the right amount. Prices were reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to Fooki, especially for the dumplings and Mala Chicken!

If you’re looking for authentic, clean, and flavorful Taiwanese cuisine, Fooki is the place to go! I tried the Boom Boom Chicken, Grandpa Rolling Beef, and Bao Bun — and every single dish was a hit. The Grandpa Rolling Beef in particular blew me away — it’s a unique dish I’ve never had before, but now I can’t stop thinking about it. The flavors were rich, the texture perfect, and you can tell everything is made with care. The portions were great, the ingredients fresh, and the vibes super chill. Can’t wait to go back and try more off the menu. 10/10 recommend — especially if you’re craving Taiwanese food done right.

I've eaten take out here before and I like their Mala gyōza with noodles and their pork rice bowl. Tonight I tried dining in. We split the Mala gyōza as an appetizer and I had the braised beef rib noodle soup. Mala gyōza was good as always. The soup I was expecting to be a bit spicier. The noodles were very chewy which I wasn't used to. The beef rib was quite chewy and tough. For a soup that claimed to be cooked for at least 12 hours, I expected it to fall off the bone. Overall it was an okay meal. I'd definitely order a different main dish next time.

We came here to try the much talked about Boom Boom Chicken, along with the Monster Pork Chop, Fooki Bao, and Cow Wow braised noodle soup. The chicken had a nice salty, herby flavor from the dried greens, but after a while the dryness made it less enjoyable. The pork chop was also on the dry side. Maybe some dipping sauce like shoyu and vinegar with chili would’ve made it better. The bao, however, really stood out. It was thick, juicy with rich fat and flavorful garnishes. The Cow Wow noodle soup was overall tasty with tender cuts, but the shank was a bit tough to pull off the bone. Service was excellent. The young lady helping us was quick and attentive, gave great recommendations, and replaced our dropped chopsticks without even asking. The atmosphere was calm for an afternoon visit with booming K-pop music (especially our favorite Blackpink tracks); gave the place a fun vibe.

A co-worker had to go home to pick up a tool so the lunch trio found ourselves at Fooki in the Pearl Kai center. This was my second visit so I made sure to order something different ... not the pork chop. :p We ordered the Braised Mushroom Noodle soup, Classic Braised Beef Noodle soup, and the Braised Wonton Noodle soup. What does braised mean? There's a red pepper next to it so there is supposed to be more spice. Mine wasn't, but I liked it. A co-worker asked for chili oil, which he said made his wonton dish "perfect". As before, there was scant conversation, just the sounds of slurping. I enjoyed my braised mushroom noodle soup and would order it again, but would ask for egg noodles as the noodles that came with my dish were a little too thick. The noodles in the braised beef dish were like that found in e-mein dishes ... Those are way too thick for me. We paid in cash because they apply a 3% surcharge for credit card usage. No problem ...

Google
The waiter and staff was so patient and great with our large group. The trio cup chicken plate was perfect and hit the spot. The egg noodles in the classic beef braised noodle soup were chewy and a perfect texture, and the beef and soup were tender and tasty. 10/10

Google
OMG all I can say. This place is above and beyond expectations. The food and the staff were excellent and very patient as this was our first time here. Will be back soon. Food was to die for. Come here and you will not be going away hungry or disappointed.

Yelp
Delicious food, great service and you will feel like you have travelled to Taiwan in the old days.

Yelp
This is the closest beef noodle soup I've gotten compared to the ones I've had in Taiwan. The spicy braised one barely has a kick but the flavor profile is very well balanced, so I'd recommend choosing this option. For once I wished their portion size was smaller so that I can try everything on the menu. One thing I wish I tried was something on their dessert menu. We had a group of Taiwanese aunties next to us and they all gave their approvals. That's a huge deal!! Parking wasn't difficult at all. Interior is on the darker but cozy side. Service was friendly. If you end up trying the desserts... please let me know how they are!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came for dinner and we were seated immediately. We ordered the Beef Scallion Noodles, Lu Rou Fan and an a la carte order of the Boom Boom Chicken. Beef scallion noodles: The noodle texture was perfect, not over or undercooked. The beef was soft and tender and while it looks like the sauce is thin, it packs a lot of flavor and it coats the noodles well. I like a little heat to my dish so I asked our waiter for a side of their hot sauce and it was a perfect match. Lu Rou Fan: My boyfriend loved this dish. Although we wish the portion was a little bigger, it was packed with so much flavor. The meat was tender and the sauce was so good with the rice. I wish they gave us a full eg rather than just half an egg. Boom Boom Chicken: I love Taiwanese fried chicken and this was no exception. The chicken was crispy and well seasoned. Looking forward to coming again and trying more things!

Yelp
I haven't eaten a lot of Taiwanese food so I can't speak to how authentic the food is. The rating is based on my personal food preference. Had the COW WOW Noodle Soup (braised) and a Thai tea with boba. Husband got the Boom Boom chicken and Lychee Taiwan beer. We also got the Mala Wonton to share. The cow wow noodle soup was ok. The broth was nice and clean and the meat was flavorful, especially the meat on the bone. The collagen bits weren't too chewy and I was happy to eat them all (youthful skin!!) Our server said it would be a little spicy but I didn't taste any heat at all. There was a lot of flavor and other spices coming through but not chili hot. The Mala Wontons weren't spicy at all either, which was disappointing. Husband said chicken was nice and crispy but got too salty towards the end. Portions were large but prices were also kind of high. It was nice to try for something different but we won't be back. A quick shout out to the staff though, service was impeccable!

Yelp
Been here twice now and absolutely love it! I ate the ox tail and the flavors were delicious! Reasonably priced considering pho/oxtail soups are now around $25+ However, the dumplings were amazing and I have been craving them ever since. Husband had the cow wow soup and he enjoyed it. It's a great little atmosphere for a date night or a quick cozy rainy day spot! Plenty of parking, and easy to find! Looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
Came here for dinner and tried their beef roll, beef noodle soup and the dry noodles. The beef roll was so so good. I loved it so much. It has veggies and beef wrapped in a crepe like skin with sweet sauce drizzled on top. The beef noodle soup was delicious. The noodles tasted very fresh. The dry noodles were okay. Thought it was a little bland. Service was good. Would come back again.

Yelp
This place was in my Yelp Bookmarks for a long time but never got a chance to try it out. When friends chose this place for our quarterly get together, I was all for it! Before our luncheon, I did my research on Yelp to see what fellow yelpers recommended. I had a long list and discussed it with everyone. We decided to share family style so we all could taste a little of each. Here's what we ordered: 1. Grandpa Rolling Beef $15: Its braised shanks, cucumber and cabbage rolled in a scallion pancake, topped with sake hoisin sauce and sesame seeds. We thought it was good but not something we would order again. 2. Boom Boom Chicken A la carte $16: It's fried chicken with basil and comes with a special sauce. I read about how the sauce was awesome so maybe my expectations were high. This was good but it's another dish we would pass. 3. Garlic Stir Fry Veggies $15: When my friends wanted to order this, I thought "Yikes, cooked vegetables with no meat?!". This dish included stir fry Shanghai bok choy, cabbage, cucumber, shimeji mushroom, fried tofu and garlic. OMG! This was sooooooo yummy! We all raved about how tasty it was and we would DEFINITELY order this again! I'm glad they ordered it! 4. Fooki Bao $8 each: This is braised thick cut pork belly, pickled mustard, crushed sweet peanuts, cilantro, sesame seed in a steamed bun. I first thought it was pricey...$8 for 1 thinking the bun would be the size of the ones you get when you order duck at a Chinese restaurant...this one looked like double the size and the pork belly piece was big, thick and very tasty! They have this item priced as $8 for 1 OR 3 for $24 but it still comes out to $8 each so you don't get a cheaper price for buying more. A friend and I ordered this as a takeout for our husband so they could try it. Asked our server, Todd if we warmed it up in the microwave, would the bun still be soft...he didn't think so. We took our chances (that's how much we liked it), warmed it up and the bun was still soft and the pork was oh-so-good...yay! 5. Monster Pork Chops A la carte $16: Another friend ordered this as a takeout for her husband. He thought it was good but would've been better if it was eaten there because it wasn't crispy. They would order this again. Our server, Todd was so nice and helpful describing the dishes we were thinking of ordering. He even let us try the dessert "Vintage Tofu pudding" that includes tofu pudding, peanuts and boba. We thought it was good and refreshing but didn't care for the super soft peanuts. We did suggest that if they added the peanuts when it's served, it would be crunchy...forgot what his answer was but we thought crunchy peanuts would've been better. We all said we would like to come back and order our own noodle or rice dish. I would also like to bring my family here...I know they'd love it! They accept credit cards but charges a transaction fee of 3%. They also have a service charge for large parties: - Party of 6 to 9: 20% - Party of 10 or more: 22% This place isn't that big so it's best to make reservations. They're located in the Pearl Kai Shopping Center next door to Queens Urgent Care. Lots of free parking and pretty easy to find an empty space because not many businesses on this side.

Yelp
I dont have much experience with Taiwanese dishes, but we enjoyed our experience. The braised beef was a bit salty and chewy fo my taste. Service was also below expectations. The restaurant vibe is very chill with the retro decor.

Yelp
My first time dining here and it won't be the last. The restaurant is very cozy and the service was great. The food was so delicious and enjoyable. My fooki belly bowl and fooki bao were perfect. There was a lot of fat on the pork belly but that's how I like it. The portions are generous. To top it off, my fooki belly bowl was only $18.00 and the fooki bao only $8.00. I was stuffed. You definitely get great food at a reasonable price. Their dessert options also looked good but I'll try it next time. I highly recommend this place!!

Yelp
Smaller restaurant specializing in Taiwanese food. Been here twice now and both times food has been great! Service has been good- generally checked on just enough and food comes out in a timely manner. We got there around 6pm on a Thursday and got seated as soon as we walked in. This most recent visit we had some boba and started with the rolling beef. For entrees we had braised beef noodle soup and minced pork noodle. Both dishes were very flavorful! Dishes are generally meant to be eaten family style but it also doesn't need to be. Lots of parking around in the shopping/food complex, just shared with a lot of business. Overall both visits were good but food and can be a little pricy for what you get. Either way I'd be back if I'm craving Taiwanese food.

Yelp
Second time here. Pork belly had good flavor but was cut funny so was very chewy. Zhong was pretty good. Pork chop not bad but everything is quite pricey here. Got the stir fried vege again and it is still a solid dish

Yelp
Awesome food, A-MA Roll was on fireI'd come back just for that but the beef rib soup was good and had a clean flavorful broth. Loved it I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Don't know what took us so long to come here, I rave about Egghead Cafes Porky Baos & always say the wait and drive is worth going to. I knew that they were sister companies but never tried Fooki until we went on a whim with family -- Gone are the days I have to order an hour or two ahead for pork baos. Their take out is 90% faster than Egghead Cafe's. Plus this is location is more local to me which is a huge plus. The service is great, I went four times in a course of two weeks. So pleased to find a place that has Sesame Noodles, it's was quite delicious. I just wish that it was the squiggly Knife cut noodles for an extra chewy ness. They have a decent amount of seating for the area that they are in. They have a wide selection of desserts, drinks (smoothies, milkshakes, milk teas) but I never had enough room for dessert.

Yelp
I'd heard great things about Fooki for a while, so I was thrilled when my sister-in-law invited my husband and me there to celebrate our birthdays. We arrived a little early and had time to look over the menu, but when they arrived, they already had a list of dishes in mind -- including the two items I had planned to order, plus a few others I'd been curious to try. Every single dish was delicious! The flavors were well-balanced and beautifully presented. They also allowed us to bring in our own birthday cake, which made the celebration even more special. I'd definitely come back again -- and honestly, I'd probably order the same dishes because they were that good!

Yelp
Honestly, this is my family's new favorite place to eat in Aiea. The ambience makes you feel as you've been transported in time. I love the retro vibe here. We have visited to dine in, when they're not busy; take out, then they are. Very little wait time either way. We've been trying to order something new every time because everything tastes so good but the Boom Boom Chicken, Monster Pork Chops, and Fooki Bao are easily our favorites.

Yelp
Monster Pork Chops and Braised Noodle soup with Oolong tea was winnahs! Great service, plenty of parking, reasonable prices for generous portions. Stop in and you will love it here too!

Yelp
Overdue review. The decor was like gastropub style like the restaurants you see in downtown - very vibey. Service was quick and very easy to flag someone down. Most of our group ordered the popular dishes like the grandpa rolling beef, pork belly, and chubby ribs. Portions size were good for each serving but the ribs were huge - like they were ripped off a dinosaur! I felt like some of the dishes we got weren't as temp hot as I liked it to be but it was still good regardless. I think the star of the show is their smoothies/boba drinks! I didn't get one because I thought it would make me full but I wish I did! I tried my sisters and moms one (forgot what they got) and honestly they tasted better than some boba shops in general. Highly suggest ordering one with your meal. There were SO MANY things I wanted to try. They have such of variety of entrees from soups, pork, chicken, beef, noodles, rice, baos - very hard to pick just one! Will def be back.
google avatar

Yelp
The food never disappoints-I love the cowtow, but decided to try something different so I went with the wonton noodle. Was so filling and satisfying. The braised soup base is the way to go. Also had the iced honey green tea which was very good as well as the tofu bao bun (I prefer the pork, but it was good). Service is always great -place has nice seating and is pretty clean. Parking and access are easy.

Yelp
Not much of a soup person... until Fooki. I never thought I'd say this, but I've been to Fooki four times in just three weeks--and I'm completely obsessed. Their broth is out of this world. I catch myself thinking about it weekly... and next thing I know, I'm back in the restaurant. So far, I've tried the dumplings in soup, wonton noodle soup, Cow Wow noodle soup, and beef noodle soup. Every bowl is deeply comforting--flavorful without being too heavy or salty. You can tell the broth is made in-house and simmered just right. It's clean, hearty, and layered with umami. Plus, they're generous with the veggies (though I always order extra because I love bok choy). On the side, I've had the Fooki bao and potstickers--both absolutely delicious. The pork belly in the bao was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the sweet peanuts added the perfect contrast. The potstickers were standout too: clearly homemade, generously filled, and way above average in both size and taste. Every dish I've tried has exceeded expectations. Their drink menu is also stacked--with milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies, and even alcoholic options. I had the honey green tea and found it simple, refreshing, and just sweet enough. For dessert, the honey toast is a must. It's perfectly portioned for 2-3 people and even has a toasted marshmallow between the ice cream and the bread. Honestly, no need to drive to Shokudo--Fooki's got it covered. Servers here are so friendly and attentive. As a first timer, they thoroughly go through the menu with you and give their recommendations on popular dishes. I highly recommend Fooki and will keep coming back. If you're a soup lover (or even if you're not), this place might just change your mind.

Yelp
Celebrated Lunar New Year here, so it's only right to update my review--especially since I've tried some new dishes that I need to rave about. I've dined in a few times now and love the ambiance. It's got a cool, modern vibe that makes it a great spot for a casual dinner or a fun date night. Pro tip: If there's a wait, scan the QR code outside to join the list. They'll text you when your table is ready, and you can even check your place in line. From now on, I'm ALWAYS ordering the Boom Boom Chicken. Crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The sauce? That perfect tangy kick that had me wiping the sauce clean. The Mala Wonton Noodle was my boyfriend's lunar new year pick. Those shrimp and pork wontons are delicious but definitely require some chopstick finesse--no shame in the spoon scoop game! The noodles? Absolute perfection--chewy and bouncy! Next time, I'm adding black vinegar for an extra layer of flavor. And I still stand by my previous picks: Grandpa Rolling Beef - Tender braised beef shanks, crisp cucumber, and cabbage wrapped in a flaky scallion pancake, all drizzled with sake hoisin sauce and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Mala Wonton - A plateful of shrimp, pork, and water chestnut wontons with crunchy taro chips and cabbage, drenched in that addicting Fooki mala sauce & chili oil combo. Seafood Laksa - A rich, creamy curry coconut broth with wheat noodles, fish fillet, mussels, and a Fooki shrimp cake, brightened up with lime, mint, and kaffir lime.

Yelp
Had to try this Taiwanese Eatery located closer to home, and since my friends recommended. Nicely decorated and welcoming... love the lanterns, wall decor and traditional music... I felt like I had traveled somewhere for lunch. Good variety of items on their menu and drink options (got $9 beer & a $8.25 Thai tea w/ boba). Our party of 3 ordered the $28 Cow Wow Braised Noodle Soup, $18 Minced Pork Noodles, $20 Classic Original Beef Noodle Soup, and shared a $16 Boom Boom Chicken. Service was nice and quick. Food was delicious, and enjoyed with chili oil. Bowls were emptied. It's a bit on the pricier side and so will return during more special occasions.

Yelp
After years of driving past Fooki, we finally decided to give them a try. From the moment we walked in, the experience was great. The staff was warm and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The interior had a trendy yet cozy vibe, perfect for a casual hangout with drinks or a full on feast. The menu was packed with enticing options, many of which were right up my alley. If only my stomach had unlimited capacity! Unfortunately, I had to make some tough choices, but every dish we tried was a hit. What We Ordered: A-MA Rolling Veggies - Absolutely loved this! As a veggie lover, this dish checked all the boxes: hearty, well-balanced, and packed with flavor. The plump, perfectly cooked shimeji mushrooms added a satisfying umami depth, while the cucumbers provided a refreshing crunch, all wrapped in a soft yet crispy scallion pancake. You'd almost forget it was vegetarian! Boom Boom Chicken - A standout dish. The chicken was crispy and perfectly seasoned, with fried basil adding a fragrant crunch. Paired with their spicy mayo dipping sauce, each bite was an explosion of flavor. I'd say this is a must try. Cow Wow Beef Noodle (Original) - This dish had a bold yet soothing broth, with flavors reminiscent of pho, but with its own unique twist. The deep, rich broth had subtle mushroom undertones and was topped with fresh cilantro for an aromatic finish. My wife, who is usually sensitive to cilantro in hot broth, still found this enjoyable. The noodles were lovely, like a thinner version of udon. One thing we both agreed on tho, was the beef could have been a bit more tender. Fooki Belly Bowl - My son gave this a solid 5 stars haha! The pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a beautiful balance of five-spice, soy, and a touch of sweetness. It was on the fatty side, as expected, but if you're a pork belly fan, this dish is a must try. There are still so many items on the menu we're eager to try, and we'll definitely be back to do so. If you're in the Aiea area and looking for delicious Taiwanese food in a welcoming setting, Fooki is well worth a visit! Enjoy! :)

Yelp
Second time coming here and it's still sooo good! It was kind of crowded but we're able to seat us right away. The staff is super nice and the food comes out sooo quick each time! I got their beef noodles braised and it was not spicy at all but so delicious! The meat was super tender and the broth is perfect! We also tried the sweet potato fries with li hing mui and this combo was amazing! I was so surprised. The boom boom chicken is so tasty as is their beef roll! Highly recommend trying this place!
google avatar

Katherine G.

Yelp
Service was great! They let us know last order was at 8:30 pm. Everything came out so fast. All the food is so tasty! Recommend the li hing mui fries, boba drinks, noodles, everything! Ambiance is so cute! Decorations are nice especially with the lights.

Yelp
Was surprised seeing highly rated Taiwanese food in this area, so had to stop by. The beef soup has a good flavor. If you like spicy, the braised broth adds a little bit of a kick-- but imo it mutes the richness of the broth some. Noodles are a little more on the al dente side. The beef had a stronger beefy flavor, was slightly tender, but not the super soft fall apart tenderness I was hoping for. Service was very friendly and proactive, ambiance was great too. Went when the place opened and within 30 min it filled up pretty quick. Fried chicken was pretty solid
google avatar

Yelp
They have a great system. We placed the order online, it said ready for pick up in 15 minutes. We got there in 20, went to the take out window and it was ready. The won ton noodle soup is delicious and the noodles are thick and chewy.
google avatar

Rebecca C.

Yelp
Taiwanese cuisine! Sort of expected the noodles to have a bit more flavor. Relatively decently priced entrees. Lots of fresh vegetables, but not as much meat as expected. We tried the beef noodles, and it was very simple and plain. Good amount of indoor seating and great parking. Service was quick and the spot was well lit.

Yelp
Just had one of the BEST bowls of noodles I've had in a long time. I'm so happy I found this place. Stopped in for lunch the other day in between classes, and was pleasantly greeted upon entering and advised to sit anywhere I wanted. I ordered the classic beef noodle soup for $20, with the braised option for $2 more. Braised apparently is a more flavorful broth, and wow, it was delicious. So much flavor. But the meat, oh my goodness. The meat was absolutely tender and very, very flavorful. And they give you a lot! The noodles were nice and thick as well. I ordered a glass of beer to go along with it and it just made everything hit the spot even more. Everyone was so friendly there, the service was awesome, it's decorated nicely with decent amounts of seating, braddah even opened the door for me as I left. I will definitely be back as there is quite a variety on their menu, but honestly, I just want another one of those bowls. So good. And lots of parking too. Great location.

Yelp
Went on a weekday during lunch and it wasn't too busy. The service was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the minced pork noodles, boom boom chicken, and the Fooki potstickers. The noodles is a good portion to share between 2 people and the chicken could be shared with 3-4. All of the dishes were very delicious and flavorful without overpowering each other. The price points for the dishes were also reasonable. And can't forget their drink options! I got the wintermelon iced tea, always a goodie and super refreshing. Definitely coming back to try the other noodle dishes and drinks.

Yelp
Service was great! Food was really good! We had heard about this place for a long time but today was the perfect opportunity to try. Went a little before 2pm. Walked right in. Server was kind enough to explain the menu and make suggestions to us first timers. Honestly, I didn't expect to take a long as I did to decide, but everything looked so good. Finally decided on braised beef shank noodle (next time I'll ask for no cilantro) Good choice for me. My son got pork belly plate. That was super ono! While we were eating we already decided that we'd be back. Lol I think it gets busy at dinner so we may have to do take out next time. Oh... they have a bar too!

Yelp
Never had jajang noodles so I decided to try. It was delicious with the fresh vegetables and sauce on the noodles. It doesn't come with a huge bowl but was still worth it. I will say I wish there were more spice on the noodles because it seemed to be lacking some. The table agreed some other dishes were lacking a bit of spice. Next time I might get chili flakes on the side. The dessert was great. I got the tofu pudding and it reminds me of Taho, one of my favorite Filipino desserts! The honey toast is delicious and has scoops of icecream on top, I would get again. Overall I would return here again!

Yelp
The aesthetic, the comforting Taiwanese flavors -- it's my little happy place. My go-tos: Oolong Boba- I usually get regular sweetness, might be sweet at first but as ice melt it balances out. Li Hung Mui Sweet Fries - they come with the sauce so always ask if not given. So good together! Shrimp Pork Dumplings in Soup - I love this so much! The soup is very rich and tasty. Not bland. Boba with Vanilla Ice Cream - a classic! Spent $58 including 22% tip! Feeling a bit under the weather, but honestly, a visit here always lifts my spirits and makes me feel "senti-senti" in the best way. If you love cozy vibes and delicious Taiwanese bites, Fooki's the spot!

Yelp
We came for lunch on a Tuesday and it was still a full house. We got lucky that a table cleared a little after we got there. The place is pretty clean but a little crammed with tables but still comfortably spacious if that makes sense. We sat down and they brought us our waters and menu real quick. This wasn't our first rodeo here so we ordered "light" because we ended up with so much leftovers the first time we were here...like that's a problem. We order the Monster Pork Chop Plate $20 -- Deep-fried pork chop, egg, sweet chill aioli with rice, bok choy, and egg topped with crispy shallots. This has to be one if not THE best pork chop we've ever had. It comes with two chips and enough rice for my husband and me to share. We also got an Ala carte order of the Boom Boom Chicken for $15 with fried basil on top. Okay, let me tell you about this chicken, it's like popcorn chicken on steroids so good. Trust and get it. Ask for the sweet chili aioli and mama's house chili sauce if you can take the heat. The last thing we ordered were the Mala Wontons for $14 in their mala sauce and bean sprouts. The dumplings were dense with meat, and not in a bad way. The food was just all SO good! Try it and thank us all later you did. ** The service was fast! Food came out fast and water was always filled. When you pay, keep in mind they do have a 3% surcharge if you pay with card.

Yelp
First time here and was recommended by my niece who lives more west side and I live in town. Ample parking anywhere in the area and the parking spaces are wide. Food was tasty and came out pretty quick. I had the fried chicken, there was a pork chop, and ribs order as well. It was nice to be served on plates as a lot of restaurants are serving in plastic containers. The server was slow as far as filling up our water, but she was very busy. The inside is cute with some mural paintings on the walls. I wish they served coffee (Americano or drip). We had an early lunch, they open at 11:30, so caffeine would've been nice lol.

Yelp
After disappointing Taiwanese food last night we were eager to find a good one and saw this one. We came in during lunch and were seated right away. The place had about 12 tables of different sizes. We ordered Cow Wow noodle soup, beef scallion noodles, cold ginger chicken, Lou rou fan (Taiwanese ground pork rice), Vietnamese iced coffee and Fookie milk tea. Our food came out fairly quick. The ginger chicken didn't have enough flavor for me but everything else was delicious! I would definitely recommend if you're looking for good Taiwanese food.

Yelp
My first time at Fooki today after hearing so much about it through the coconut wireless. Here's my take on it: Fooki is a charming little Taiwanese restaurant off Kamehameha Highway at the Pearl Kai restaurant area. Before we talk about the AMAZING food, I just want to say its decor was charming and an organic kind of rustic rather than those fancy restaurants that pay a lot to look rustic. The food is fcking HEAVENLY and it came out of the kitchen not long after we ordered. It was actually a quick wait. Service was a quiet yet pleasant and kind experience. The server always came by to check on us and the other tables. We were seated immediately too when we arrived. I appreciated that because there are restaurants that can be almost empty, yet leave you standing there until they feel like wandering over to get you seated. Fooki is the opposite. You feel welcomed and they get straight to taking your order and making your food. The boom boom chicken tasted so good. Crunchy and had the white sauce that made it even more amazing. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and oh so good. The dumplings were LARGE and not store bought. They were definitely made here and you could actually see and taste the shrimp and pork in it. Not like the store bought stuff that's small and shrinks when cooked. My kids fought over the dumplings. The pork bao was sooo tender too and the bun was perfectly soft with the garlic sprinkled on and around it. It had a kick but was yummy too. The last dish we had was the mixed mochi for dessert. Our favorite was the peanut butter. It's funny, we don't usually like mochi, but that was some good stuff. I was happy that my kids tried something different and loved it. I want to recommend this place but I also wish I could keep it a secret We loved the food and our experience. Price was very affordable for all that we ordered for 3. Planning to take the rest of the family there soon. Definitely our favorite spot as of now .

Yelp
Todd opened the front door for us when we arrived. As soon as we sat at our table, 2 other employees immediately brought the water, napkins and chopsticks. I thought, wowza, such prompt service. This was our 2 nd time here as the kiddies gave us a gift card for grandparents day saying cuz papa's pt was close by. The menu is extensive. I had glanced quickly and just knew I wanted a Vietnamese iced coffee. Hubs left the ordering to me. Lucky for us Todd was so friendly I asked him for suggestions for 3 dishes. He was so honest about one thing I mentioned and instead suggested the pork belly and rice dish, a scallion noodle dish with lots of ingredients, I enjoyed the simple mild taste and texture of it. When I said and the boom boom chicken he suggested but he said start with two dishes then you can work your way up to three. He knew his customers: old guys like us have smaller appetites. Hubs used to pile food on his plate plus have seconds but not recently. My iced coffee hit the spot. I liked the cucumbers that came with the pork belly dish it reminded me of bread and butter pickles. The menu said Taiwanese dishes. There was a piece looking like a triangle of aburage and my silly mind reminded me of stinky tofu when we were in Taiwan one evening. It had a mild taste and smell compared to that - ahhh memories. My favorite was the scallion noodle dish. I would order that again. It was like a bibim kooksu with the ingredients neatly placed around and on the dish. I figured it looks like you're supposed to toss the ingredients together so I did exactly that. Yum !!! I enjoyed it a lot. It took a long time to come but it was good. We didn't use all of the gift card so we will be back for sure.

Yelp
I still love & ordered all my favorite items and now they have these fabulous dumplings wow People ask the hypothetical question if you could eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be and those dumplings would be mine !

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by my dinner at Fooki. I came with friends and we shared the boom boom chicken and grandpas beef roll to start. We each got our own beef noodle soups - I got the braised Cowwow beef noodle soup. The boom boom chicken was really comforting and delicious. The beef roll was lacking in beef. The noodle soup was full of beef which I appreciated, but I wish it had been spicier. Overall the meal was pretty expensive ($40-50 per person) but I still enjoyed the meal a lot.

Yelp
Right when we stepped in, it felt like we were transported to a restaurant in olden day Taiwan. The decor is really on point in creating that vibe. Their menu includes a lot of traditional and fusion dishes organized by appetizers, soups, rice dishes, desserts, and drinks. There are so many good options to choose from that it took us a while but I finally decided on the wonton noodle soup. It arrived in a big bowl with 7 wontons, bok choy, sweet onion toppings, and a large portion of noodles. The broth really stood out to me. It was flavorful, slightly sweet, and soo delicious. I enjoyed every bite and can't wait to return to try out their other menu items!

Yelp
Great staff, they took care of us (party of 5) they even gave my 4 year old daughter a stand to use my phone to watch tv (I was using the cup to keep it up and it kept falling) I thought that was sooo sweet. They have a variety of noodles/soups/fried items. Everything they reccomended we tried family style and it was all really good. We came at 600pm and left at closing because we were having such a good time drinking beer and talking story. Great ambiance. 10/10 would come back!!

Yelp
Eaten here many times and each time is better than the last. We especially liked the steamed dumplings, the grandpa rolling beef roll, sweet potato fries, and the braised classic pho. I noticed this time that you can order more broth, which would be great to take home.

Yelp
We came here to try the much talked about Boom Boom Chicken, along with the Monster Pork Chop, Fooki Bao, and Cow Wow braised noodle soup. The chicken had a nice salty, herby flavor from the dried greens, but after a while the dryness made it less enjoyable. The pork chop was also on the dry side. Maybe some dipping sauce like shoyu and vinegar with chili would've made it better.
