FOOL

Beautifully designed interior, though not really into the monster art pieces. Service was excellent, the menu was limited but beautifully crafted. A unique modern western twist which made dining a unique experience to the palette. I enjoyed the Dark Rye Rolls and Ocean Trout. The cashew curry pot pie was unique and perfect for those who are meat free. For the price I paid for my meal, it would have been a nice to have seats spaced further apart so you don’t hear your neighbours conversations loud and clear.

The food was a bit on the salty side, like some people mentioned, but it went well with the wine. The chicken liver eclair was amazing definitely a must-try! It’s super unique and something you don’t come across often. I wouldn’t recommend it for champagne lovers. They don’t use proper champagne glasses, so the bubbles don’t last long. The staff were really friendly and kept refilling our glasses.

Had a really great time at FOOL. The wine list is extensive and the food is delicious. Davis and Kat were attentive and always ready to give a recommendation or help my friends and I pick out a good bottle of wine. After each wine, they would replace our glasses with clean ones. For food we got the charred padron peppers with century egg mayonnaise, dark rye rolls, squid arancini, oysters, Sri Lankan deviled cashews, oysters, chicken liver eclairs, burrata, and the cheese selection with guava. Unlike some other review complaints, the food was not “too salty”. It was all perfectly seasoned and really delicious.

The scallops and wine here were fantastic. I had the Pinot noir from France, it was light and really easy on the palate. The food was generally alright with the pot pie being an especially interesting dish but what stood out to me were the desserts. The coconut sorbet was the highlight for me. FOOL has an extensive wine collection but if you’ve already got your eye on your preferred selection, I’d opt to order a bottle rather than by the glass.

Wine selection is vast, and wait staff recommended a really good bottle of french wine from normandy to go with the food we ordered. The chicken liver eclair was surprisingly delightful, but the rest of the dishes we tried were just alright, especially considering the hefty price tag. Roasted green chilli with century egg mayo was pleasant but not as flavourful as expected. Roasted scallops were served in a tiny portion (barely enough for 2 people) and slightly overcooked. Beef tartare was too salty and the crunchy topping distracted from the fresh taste and texture of the beef. Wanted to try the black cod but it was sold out. The saving grace of the night was the wine. The plush booth seats were comfy and the overall design of the place is rather artistic. However, the round circular table space allocated to 3 of us was only sufficient for about 2 people. We saw a table of 4 that needed 2 tables to be put together. The music was also reallyyyy loud, not sure if it's to encourage people to leave quickly, but i hope they'll be more mindful and create a more comfortable space by lowering the volume.

I can’t say enough good things about the food and wine list. Everything we had here was great, but the chicken liver eclair was Michelin star worthy. I was a chef for 10 years previously, and food like this makes me want to cook again. I will come back again next time I’m in Singapore.

The food was great, small portion. A place you can hang out with friends with very nice atmosphere. The food indeed is nice but price not cheap at all. They serve quick unique of way of cooking and we love it so much. Oysters is a must to try and also they signature chicken liver! Strongly recommended. We were here to try the orange wine, but we don’t really enjoy it. We enjoy the food more than wine.

Can’t believe it took me so long visiting Fool. Beautiful interior and a great place to hang with friends or date night. Playful dishes and also a great list of natural wine collection. Everything was delicious. Great service from the team who took care of us.
