23 Affordable Restaurants in Las Vegas for a Cheap Meal

"At Downtown Grand’s Nathan’s Famous hot dog cart, deals of a bygone decade are on display. Hot dogs are still $2, which means something in the 2024 inflation era, as is the draft PBR. Locals don’t pay a resort fee at this hotel and casino; parking is free for guests staying, playing, or dining in." - Janna Karel

Google
This Foot Long location is inside a casino near to Harrah’s hotel. To be fair, yes they are 3.99 but obviously for a bread-sausage hot dog, (you can add mayo, ketchup or mustard) but other than that has a cost. Food was okay anyways, also fries were good. As they are inside a casino they close pretty late, so its a good option as a snack if you go to play, but the place is kind of trashy. I would recommend if you are looking for an easy, fast and cheap option.

Decent hot dog at a price that is good. Don’t forget the $3 beers at the bar cash only

Google
Came in for a food review half drunken! How can you hate a footlong hot dog 🌭 for $3? I got mine with onions, relish and ketchup. If I was really drunk, I could probably have three of these. This was AWESOME! 🥳I would definitely come back here the next time I’m in Vegas and just want a cheap meal when walking the strip! Loved it! 🥰 TikTok Reviewer: acaicaitlin

Google
10/20/24 girl working the counter couldn't take our order properly multiple times trying to get her to understand what we wanted . Instead of adding the add on items to our food she kept trying to put multiple hotdogs on our order. Cheapest food I found won't say it was good but for the price it'll due. The quality of the add ons for how much they want aren't worth it look at picture for reference. Chili runny and barley any on the dog . Cheese was normal but very small amount as well. For 99¢ each I expect a little more and better quality.

UPDATE: It's $3.49 now and starting to be NOT as worth it. This is the most I would pay for their hot dog as you can go next door to McDonald's to get a McDouble. Original review: I have been going here for over a decade. It started out $1.99, then $2.49 and on my most recent visit it's up to $2.99 but they are charging 0.50 on onions and relish now. The only free toppings are ketchup and mustard. The foot long hot dogs are still good with relish and onions but it adds up to be $4 hot dog. Without it, it tastes kinda plain with only ketchup and mustard. They also sell lobster rolls and other kinds of hot dogs, but most folks are here for the $2.99 foot long.

Google
Great service and really long hotdogs. I went for original $2.49 and one Spicy dog (Warning: It is really spicy!). I personally think two hot dogs are too much for one person. This place hidden in the back of the casino is the gem for those who are in Vegas on the budget. Even the street hotdog sellers are charging twice as much. My top hot dog spot in Las Vegas.

Google
Good, but nothing special, and the hotdog itself is super thin to fit the foot long bun instead of the regular hotdog

Google
Value for the money was huge. I had the chilli dog foot long, for what they charge, I'm scratching my head on how they stay in business. Delicious footlong hotdogs, soft buns, delicious chili, what more can you ask for?

Yelp
I've known about this place for years , but never stopped to get a hotdog before till last week. I was doing a Staycation at the Linq for a couple days and walked over to White Castle to pick up a couple burgers and onion rings. Well , the line wasn't huge like normal and I found out why. No one running the register and this Indian guy was trying to figure out how to put in his order on the self service and even with help from someone else he couldn't do it. Of course no worker came to his rescue. I got tired of waiting and saw how dirty the kitchen was , I left. I walk over to the counter of the Snack Nook and was helped right away. I got a Foot Long Hot Dog for $3.49 and added Chili for another 99 cents. It was nothing to write home about , but it did the job. It's definitely not a Nathan's Hot Dog , more generic. The chili was chunky with beans and I added some ketchup and mustard. It honestly could have used some hot sauce to bump up the flavor. It's good for late night after drinking or a snack. They offer other items too like fries of course , chicken fingers , and a few other items.

Yelp
I love this place for some cheap bites while gambling or walking by on the strip. I remember when the hot dogs were .99 but that was many years ago and now they are $2.99 which is still a great deal. The dog starts as $2.99, however toppings will cost extra. I like to get the grilled onions and peppers and sauerkraut. They load up the dog pretty well and it gets messy, which I love. The flavor is great and the price is on point. Every time I go the staff is pretty awesome. Friendly and helpful. Chatted with one guy this time for a few minutes and he provided good conversation. Read a few other reviews on here and I think people expect too much from a hot dog joint tucked in the back of an old ass casino. If you want something better, check out the other expensive hotels around. If you want something cheaper, then good luck! This is a rare find in Vegas and I appreciate that it is there with their delicious dogs, oh and not to mention their stadium cheese nachos. Smothered and delicious.

Yelp
Good during your alcohol buzz, but I don't recommend when sober. Footlong hotdog ($2.99): small wiener and dry bun, but still nostalgic from the vegas a decade+ ago... 6/10. Next time will get it with chili & cheese.

Yelp
I can't believe I came to Vegas and actually ate here. Originally we were going to White Castle, but the line was an hour long. We stumbled upon this place next door and decided to just give it a try out of desperation. The foot long hot dog: + My bun was so chewy, but my friend's bun was hard? Inconsistent. The hot dog also tasted like Vienna sausage. + It was edible at least. Surprisingly didn't have any stomach problems. + Customer service was nice and the food came out quick.

Yelp
This place is terrible now. The hot dog is thin and mediocre and all the toppings aside from ketchup and mustard cost extra - no more onions and relish.

Yelp
Footlong hotdog. SMACKS. drinks at the bar? CHEAP! Steals on steals!! Got a snack and a drink for $10

Yelp
This place is a pleasant surprise for me. I did not think that a perfect foot long hot dog existed, but I found it because my wife was craving a hot dog we could both share. She wanted chili and nacho cheese on the hot dog, and I ended up adding freshly grilled onions and bell peppers to top the hot dog off. In just one bite, my eyes widened in amazement on how great the hot dog tasted! You can taste all the ingredients in the hot dog. What also amazed me was the hot dog bun was different than any other hot dog bun I have ever eaten before. For one, it really holds up all the ingredients perfectly in the bun without it ever breaking or falling apart; secondly, it was so dense like there were no air pockets in the bread which I always hold in high regard as quality bread. I will come back, and hope all their other food options are just as good!

Yelp
Price: you cant beat it! Downfall: you get what you pay for. Staff was super polite, but the food wasn't so great. Wont be back, but cant beat the price so not upset.

Yelp
They get you by telling you their hotdog is only $2.49. Me being a cheap-o was like, sure, why not? it's only $2.49. Lol. I don't think the hot dog is good at all. Tastes like 711 hot dog, but softer, not very firm, and no snap to it. Bread was dry and a little on the harder side. Tasted kind of old. Don't expect it to taste like Nathan's, that's for sure. but then again, you get what you pay for. Can be busy at times as it is a hot spot next to the slots. They offer other dogs with chilli, and different toppings/styles. I'd pass and eat something like in-n-out a few blocks away. Or any other restaurant nearby :)

Yelp
I ordered the single lobster roll combo ($12.99) no good, it does not taste like lobster. My husband go the foot long ($2.49) w/chili ($.99) and onions ($.50) it was better than the lobster combo.

Mike S.

Yelp
This place does not even deserve a one star shame on you for advertising $2.99 foot-long hot dog one actually it's only 91/2 inches long stay away from this please save your money

Yelp
My spotted this place after we decided not to opt to eat sandwiches at the Mirage for $20 each. This place is great! We upgraded our dogs to polish with onions and peppers. So tasty! We were all in for around $12-13! The polish dogs were tasty. The stars of the whole experience were the friendly employees!!! Will come back fo sho! They also offered condiments and napkins without being prompted which the more expensive places haven't done this weekend. They have a subway and Pizza Hut next door so everyone can find something they want.

Yelp
Can't expect much when you getting a plain hotdog for $2.49. I didn't know what to eat and wasn't too hungry. I was in Casino Royale already, so why not try this place out. It actually wasn't too bad, the bread was fresh for the most part. Just too much bun for this skinny wiener. I ripped off a lot of the bread (low carb diet). I guess I'll come again for a quick cheap meal if I don't know where else to go.
google avatar

Alexander W.

Yelp
What do you want from a foot long hot dog that costs $2?!? Decent taste for this skinny wiener. They actually make the meat look longer by putting it on a shorter bun. Good eats for low pricing, which is always a good thing in my book. This place is located in the back of the Casino Royale. Walk through the drinking and smoking gamblers and get your grub. If you are not eating inside the casino, you can ask for condiments to go, and they pack up your dogs really well in a plastic, clear bag for you. if you do choose to dine in, you can have access to a fill it yourself drink service station, and many industrial size condiments. If you are in Vegas, just stop and get one of these dogs to live in the time when Vegas kept multiple cheap eating spots to keep you happy, full and gambling!

Yelp
It's weird, but you go out for the best dinner ever in Vegas and spend $200, then the next day when you realize you spent that much, you find yourself eating a $5 hot dog and it's the OTHER best meal you have had this trip. Can't believe it? Try for yourself.

Yelp
BOMB FOOD. This place is soooo underrated. 2.49 for a foot long hot dog. Definitely give it a go. Came twice within a 2 day trip.

Yelp
I was super excited for a hot dog but this experience wasn't pleasing. When I ordered my food a kid took the order and had an attitude. I ordered a foot long hot dog with ketchup, mustard, and relish. And his response was extras are listed on the wall and I looked at it and stated what i would like again because I don't care about a 50 cent charge for relish. When I went to the end to pick up my food I asked for napkins and only got 2. The hot dog would have been perfect if the bun wasn't stale and old.
google avatar

India D.

Yelp
Best Chili Dog! I love the bread they put it on also. I will be dreaming of this hotdog when I fly back to Kansas.
google avatar

Steven D.

Yelp
$3 for a foot long hot dog The hot dog is longer then then my favorite Costco dog but thinner. It's not as meaty but for Vegas, this was a good price. The extra for the chili is not worth it. Decor It's all the way in the back. Kinda sketchy looking. Service Service was fine but they don't give out water. Would I come here again? Yea. I'm poor.

Yelp
$3 craps and $1.99 hot dog, nice way to spend a late Vegas night. Located at the back of Casino Royal, this little gem serves up a bargain in New Vegas prices. Great to put in the belly after a late night of Vegas.

Joey C.

Yelp
You would be better off with a 1am hot dog from 7/11. Sausage tastes like it was microwaved.

Yelp
I found Snack Nook a couple of years ago when staying at the Best Western which is above the food court of Casino Royale that hosts this tiny restaurant. It's claim to fame was a foot long hot dog for $1.99 which was like dirt cheap. I was skeptical but tried it one day and found it to be pretty decent. Not great, but still good for the price. They used to have a container with relish along with ketchup and mustard on the counter that you could help yourself to. I think year before last they got rid of the condiments but kept the price constant. However you could ask for relish and get a small container without charge. Towards the end of last year (2014) they raised the price to $2.49 which was still extremely cheap. I keep visiting for old times sake :)

Yelp
Can't beat the hotdog for the price. Our first meal in Vegas, because inn n out wasn't open yet. It was really good. Like a New York street dog, just bigger. The hotdog and a drink is all you need. No sides necessary. It's a novelty, give it a try.

Steven T.

Yelp
It was good! For a quick snack we went here, it was a little bit overpriced but we are speaking about Las Vegas. I got the banh mi, which has a lot of meat and a lot of flavor. Close enough to the traditional Vietnamese sandwich. They have Build-Your-Own salad, which is really cool.
google avatar

Yelp
Hot dogs are good all beef , the service not so much , unfriendly staff, they also upd the price from 1.99 to 2.49 .!

Pamlyn C.

Yelp
As of June 16, 2016 a plain foot long hot dog cost $2.49 ($2.69 w/tax). This is one of the best things I've eaten in Vegas. Ketchup and mustard are free, but other toppings are extra. Next time I will skip the buffet and come here. The guy who works there is nice and quick too!
google avatar

Yelp
Really great for a late night, inexpensive snack! 1.99$ for a foot-long hot dog, and it was tasty too! :)
