Footprints Cafe - Review - New York - The Infatuation

"If it’s not broke, then don’t fix it. That’s one strategy, but we prefer a different one: if it’s not broke, then combine it with something else that’s not broke, and make something awesome. That’s what Footprints Cafe does with their “rasta pasta.” At all three of this Caribbean spot’s Brooklyn locations, you can get their jerk chicken, curry goat, or braised oxtail served over a huge plate of penne, which soaks up the juices and sauces from the meat. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Footprints Cafe Review - Coney Island - New York - The Infatuation

"This Caribbean spot doesn’t feel too beachy - it’s in a dark space across the street from a giant roller coaster - but it’s a good spot for a fun group dinner, especially on the weekends when they have live music. The food, which includes things like BBQ glazed shrimp and curry goat, is packed with spices and is quite affordable - a large portion of jerk chicken with rice, peas, and plantains is less than $10." - Matt Tervooren

After hearing so much hype about Footprints and their legendary rasta pasta, I was really looking forward to finally trying it. Unfortunately, the experience fell short. The pasta was overcooked and mushy, and the salmon—though I requested it grilled and medium—arrived well done and covered in sauce I didn’t ask for. When I asked the waitress about it, she started listing flavors, and right then I had a feeling it wasn’t going to hit. Sadly, I was right—the food was kind of bland and lacked the bold, vibrant flavors I was expecting. Service was just okay. Nothing memorable. And to top it all off, I had to carry my leftovers out in my hand—no bag offered. Really wanted to love it, but overall, it just didn’t deliver.

Love coming back to footprints and enjoying good food and even better service! Stephanie was very attentive, nice, and recommended the salmon Rasta pasta that was delicious when I couldn’t decide. Very satisfied. Definitely will be back as always.

Google
I have enjoyed their rasta pasta with grilled chicken since 2013 and still do to this day. The staff are friendly and respectful. It can get busy inside for them, which may slow down the service a bit, but not ridiculously so.

I would like to leave a review for Stephanie our server she was really sweet and attentive. We had her twice in a week. The food was great and coconut rum punch top tier.

The food here is soooooo damn good!! Good Caribbean tunes playing as well. I came here over the weekend for a lil pre game meal. I’ve been here a few times for take out over the yrs, so I was happy to finally get a chance to dine in for a change. They still make one of the best pina coldas!! Can’t wait to pop back in for another meal. Good customer service too!

Yessssss. Just yes! The restaurant is not huge but nicely porportioned and clean. I mesn even the bthrm was warm, welcoming, clean and smell good with the candle burning. The food was delicious, adult beverages on point and service was immaculate. We didn't wait an ungodly amount of time to be seated, or for appetizers and entrées either. In fact, my entrée must've come out too early, and it seemed as though our server, Nakita, spotted it from across the establishment. Immediately she came over, offering to take it back to the kitchen; later when she noticed we'd placed the appetizers aside, she offered a to go box, wrapped it for us and the main courses came right out! I had a fresh plate piping hot. She was exceptional in tending to us without our asking for anything. 💕 Will definitely return.

Google
I am not too fond of Footprints at this location after three recent visits. The food is alright depending on what you are ordering. I gave 4 stars due to the jerk salmon that tastes so good. Their service needs an upgrade, and the staff needs more training in hospitality. Since I'm a food lover, I'll check out the other locations and give my review. Hopefully, they will not disappoint.

Google
We dined at Footprints Cafe last evening it was the longest dinner experience ever. Most of our time was spent waiting, waiting for seats, waiting for drinks, waiting for food, waiting to pay. I ordered a medium ribeye steak and shrimps I tasted more burn than flavor. We always had to be searching for our server. A great disappointing evening.

Yelp
I truly hate to give bad reviews. Besides the restaurant not being far from the hotel and the uber(bike ride) taking forever. Almost was going to leave with hotel to eat as I had to fly out. I ordered coco bread, sugar cane juice( in a bottle) after the reviews and I would never in life think to order but the Rasta pasta along with oxtails. No cutlery and I asked the Uber rider to request as there was no where to ask) So I was in a Rideshare ride and I asked if it was ok to eat. I ordered at 12:58 and it arrived around 2:16 pm. I first tried the coco bread to give me a glimpse into what I would be eating and it was sort of toasted or I'm not sure but it wasn't the soft taste. But again my food has been on a ride since 1:30ish and they had another stop so I was lucky to have warmth in my food. The pasta which a funny thing the driver mentioned " I'm not sure if you'll like that". I said that the reviews had a lot for this so I was trusting first time. Well the consensus was a story because it was not good at all. I did ask for extra cream and I believe that's it. It was a sweeet taste that did not go together. I think maybe I'm simple with certain things and oxtails and pasta doesn't go together unless possibly mixed in. But the oxtails were very sweet and the pasta was a different sweet and the balance wasn't there. I'm not going to tell a story I was so hungry, I did remember I had the sugar cane juice with lime. It was in a bottle so I was nervous but how can you mess up with that. It was very sweet. But it wasn't cold anymore so I said well let me ask for some ice at the airport and give it a try. The driver was telling me places to try next time and to go with my first mind in getting food like that. Simple basic not listening to anyone else with that. I am picky on certain foods and it could just be that my taste is different. I am from St. Louis and there is not one place that has good Caribbean food( they don't even serve coco bread lord) so I am excited when I go somewhere else and there are so many options. I may give a try again and just maybe a veggie patty or something basic but I hate to say I did not enjoy the food. It was just toooo sweet for me and the sweetness didn't agree with one another. Maybe that with chicken. But the pasta was so sweet. The heavy cream used is very sweet.

Yelp
A huge Rasta pasta fan so this was exactly what I was looking for! This spot will make exactly how you want with the ability to add any meats etc. their Mac is also good! I'll be back for the pasta!

Yelp
The fame of the restaurant supercedes the taste of the food. I've been a few years ago and was impressed with the pasta pasta that they are famous for, but was not happy with the taste and price when I went there recently. The waitress was friendly and the ambiance of the place was nice. Probably won't dine there again. I would have been better off eating at McDonald's which is next door and not as expensive.

Yelp
My favorite meal to order here is the curry goat and rice and peas. It's taste really good. They have so many food options in their menu. They also sell great drinks. The Resturant is very nice and customer service was great.

Yelp
Amazing food. I would recommend this place. The food was so good, I ate at the restaurant and took an order to go.

Yelp
The food is really good & always consistent no matter how long ago it's been since the last time you were here. You really can't go wrong with anything you order. They also have specialty drinks as well & I tried their dragonfruit the last time I went & it was good. Not too sweet nor missing anything to make it better. The only downfall is there is always a long wait & by long I mean at least a hour. I came here for takeout & waited an hour. This was during the day on a weekday around 2ish & I didn't get my food until after 3. Although only about a handful of people were sitting in there at the time, I imagine their takeout orders is high volume. Even my friend who lives around the area, she has said she will call a hour in advance, get there & still have to wait. If footprints can work on their wait time without compromising the food quality & taste, they will be top tier.

Yelp
I always forget to review my regular spots . I dont work far from here so about once a week we grab lunch here . The drinks are always good - be careful because you can definitely get alittle too tipsy here to return to work if you're not . The food is up and down . Some days it's absolutely delicious , others is simply your local caribbean restaurant. We're familiar faces so the service is always nice but in the beginning they were not as nice . I think its a New York caribbean thing to be rude . Anyway this day I decided to order the curry goat , I wanted to be exotic so I ordered rice and peas instead of white rice. Luckily it was a good day . The goat was tender and yummy ! If you've never been here , you must be living under a rock lol . They are known for their rasta pasta . I usually get the escovitch fish tenders with extra onions and carrots along with whatever else my stomach can hold lol . The food is good enough to visit weekly . Just not consistent . Here are a few pics

Yelp
Another one bites the dust. The service has always been mid or bad here. Waitresses have an attitude and a chip the size of Mount Rushmore on their shoulders. It's loud, cramped and the wait is astronomical no matter what time of day you went. The SAVING grace was the food. Because the food was always sooooo good. I ignored the other things. I haven't eaten here since before the pandemic and was craving Rasta pasta. The jerk chicken and shrimp Rasta pasta was one of my many go to's. The portion was big and it was saucy and flavorful. The oxtails were also very good. The jerk chicken quarter leg was probably the only thing I ate here that I didn't like. That's mainly because it tasted oven baked and not grilled and wasn't spicy. The jerk chicken in the pasta was strips and I was more forgiving for it not being grilled. The codfish cakes are my favorite appetizer. The drinks are strong and worth the price. You don't need many to get you buzzed. At the Coney Island location I had curry crab that was phenomenal. The service and ambiance was also much better there. Fast forward to this past weekend. I was craving Rasta pasta and decided to try my old go to. BIG MISTAKE. I was considering delivery so I scoured UberEATS and saw they were doing a 2 for 1 on grilled shrimp Rasta pasta. First restaurants need to be fined for blatantly lying about preparation methods. The shrimp was definitely sautéed at best. Had it been grilled, it would've provided the dish with some of the flavor it was lacking. When I saw the absorbent fees UberEATS wanted to charge for delivery, I decided to pick it up. I got there before my food was ready. Two different waitresses ask me my name and to see my order number etc. within 5 minutes of each other. It was loud and jam packed as usual. It was 3pm on a Saturday. I got my food and thought me an the boo made out with the deal. Boy was I wrong. The shrimp were so overcooked they were like mush. The texture was so off putting. I can't make it up. Their were six of what resembled large at best sad shrimp. I couldn't understand how they could serve it to people. The color looked like it was going to be flavorful but it tasted like straight milk and cream. No hint of spice, seasoning, no nothing. The only thing that had flavor was the multi colored peppers. The pasta itself was also overcooked definitely not Al dente. My boyfriend and I threw away over half the meal and ended up ordering from another place. I'm just glad we got the two for 1 deal. Had we paid the damn near $50 price tag two orders would've been, I would've been irate. Never again. They are too expensive to be playing with peoples palates. I can make delicious Rasta pasta at home. That's definitely what laziness get you. DO BETTER!

Yelp
This review is or the Utica take-out location located @ 1140 Utica Avenue, New York, NY 11203 Footprint is a local go to for Carribean food. This particular location is for takeout only. The restaurant has a wide variety of options to choose from. Something for everyone. What can you expect: Takeout ubereats doordash grubhub Listenthere is nothing wrong with trying something new. So when in dought order the smallest portion size available! My Items selected from the menu include - Grilled Shrimp Rasta Pasta (Uber - buy 1 get 1) Why do I recommend: - local businesses need support - huge portion great for sharing of splitting into multiple meals. - meal came well packed no issues - great for a snack or meal - lg menu has a little bit of everything including option for (v/vg diets). - caribbean food is not fast food! it is soul food with herbs, season, spice - great for ( family, friends, business) Tip: There are multiple locations but this takeout only location is a great choice because, the staff can focus on take-out meals only which, speeds up the process.

Yelp
Good restaurant with great food and a great ambiance. A little pricey and an extremely long wait can be expected but this isn't the place if you're expecting a quick turnaround for service. Stop by and enjoy.

Yelp
01/20/23: Due to issues at initial restaurant we ended up at footprints. It's been a minute since I've been physically. Upon arrival very busy, greeted warmly by the hostess, but we spotted a booth in the back and bingo we were seated. Our server came over introduced herself and we were ready to order. Drinks: rum punch.. it's not as red as it used to be it tastes a bit different but it was still yummy. You definitely tasted the Wray n Nephew. Appetizers Cod fish cakes: although yummy it was like 95% dough and a hint of salt fish Escovich wings: we were curious as escovich is synonymous with fish. But it was ok. Wings were good but it was basically the carrots and onions and peppers on atop the wings Mains Rasta Pasta with oxtail. I was hungry so I wasn't going to deviate from my norm. As usual pasta on point and oxtail was good it felt like it could be cooked a bit more not the fall off the bone I'm used to. Also ordered a side of bammy..steamed. It was ok, in the past it was amazing and I felt I had more than 3 pieces. We wanted the cheesecake for dessert but they were out. As they are having their weekend special for their 22 year anniversary two Rasta pasta dishes for $22 we took a set to go. All in all great dinner had by all. Their portions as large so 2 of us ended up with leftovers for home. Another good footprints meal. My friends ordered the Rasta pasta with king fish and shrimp and Cajun chicken n shrimp with rice and peas. All enjoyed meal.

Yelp
The amount of times I've ordered the Rasta pasta is reckless, always flavorful, always hot even though I use Uber eats. The curry cabbage, chefs kiss and as a southern girl who loves okra, they do a great job

Robby_B

Yelp
"Meals are served with choice of one side and complimentary cabbage and plantains" is what the menu say.. The menu also has a "premium veggie option (no cabbage)" ... I ordered a large shrimp meal, that comes with rice and complimentary cabbage and plantains.. But when I got my meal, there was no rice. The store said because I chose the premium veggie option that replaces the cabbage, I don't get rice now.. which is a scam because I'm paying extra money to substitute the cabbage with the veggies, and with choosing that option, they expect you to pay extra for rice (WHICH SHOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN INCLUDED IN THE MEAL).. I called the store and told them about the discrepancy in their menu, but was given so much attitude over the phone and they hung up on me. I paid more money for less food AND IM PISSED OFF... DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!!! They strategically made it a way to pay more money for less food on their menu.

Yelp
Loved the oxtail and the portions are huge. Got this for delivery so can't speak to anything about the ambiance. No notes!

Yelp
"Footprints Restaurant delivers an exceptional Caribbean dining experience. I indulged in the snapper stew, accompanied by a delightful salad, while my companion savored the salmon with rice and peas - both dishes bursting with authentic flavors. The drinks were strong and perfectly complemented our meal. Our server, Stephanie, was a true gem, demonstrating unparalleled hospitality and attention to detail throughout our dining experience. Footprints Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Caribbean cuisine served with impeccable service."

Yelp
Took over an hour for our food to arrive after ordering. Rude customer service. Ruined my birthday night out.

Kester T.

Yelp
My family and I tried Footprints on Clarendon road for dinner during our vacation in Brooklyn in August '24. The food was tasty and excellent. We had the snapper, seafood and Rasta Pasta dinners. The fish fingers and run & raisin cheesecake were to die for! Our server, Taneisha, was very warm and courteous and made our visit worth the while. The atmosphere was also very inviting. I highly recommend this place!!

Yelp
Oh man!!!! First walking in, there was a line. But I didn't wait long. About 10min and I was seated. But these tables are very close together, but we all made it work. The server came right over and took our drink orders. I had a Rum punch and he had a red stripe. They serve Wray and Nephew here so I knew the rum punch would be punching. And I wasn't disappointed. 2 of those and I was ready to whine all night lol. The vibes in here are unmatched. Lots of people at the bar, the football on the big screens. Now to the food; I have to say these are some of the most tender oxtails I've ever had. The servings were plentiful. I couldn't even finish my food. You definitely get your money's worth. I will definitely be back here.

priscilla a.

Yelp
I purchased Rasta pasta with ox tail and spent 54 on 2 dishes and the food was absolutely not what I expected it to be and the quality has definitely changed. Seems like you get a name for your business and just stop caring, thats exactly what the food taste like dry noodle and it actually looked like they used wheat pasta. It is very sad that we are spending our hard earned money on restaurants and they just don't give a crap. I should have chose the 1st spot I wanted to go to on church ave instead of trying footprints. disappointed big time Also Customer service worse than the food!

Yelp
Had to check this spot out since it's the birthplace of the #RastaPasta "allegedly" .... and well it was DELISH! Enjoyed their famous Rasta Pasta with fried shrimp. Also tried it with oxtail and oh my goodness... the meat was so tender and delicious. It truly melted in my mouth! The other star is their cocktail menu! I was told to get the Brooklyn (not pictured) and it is not for the lightweight. A beautifully disastrous blend of Gin, Rum, Tequila, Triple sec, Vodka, Hennessy, Amaretto, and a splash of Cranberry however I feel like it was a drop DEFINITELY a one and done cocktail menu I shall be back!
google avatar

Pascale D.

Yelp
I'm going to need Footprints to take their time cooking this food especially if you're charging a whole mortgage for oxtails. I felt like a pitbull tearing up this meat. The oxtail was tough as nails and the rice was way undercooked. This is my third time here and again, food was rushed, meat was tough, rice was lukewarm and certain employees act like they don't want to be there.

Yelp
Ordered yesterday from Ubereats they have a special on shrimp and chicken Rasta pasta, buy one get one free. I decided to try it since my niece wanted shrimp anyway; got the honey garlic, the portion was good although could've had more shrimp than chicken. The shrimp and chicken looks like they're baked maybe fried but very good. The pasta itself was good but sauce was watery; nothing special about it. Needless to say their food isn't bad. Delivery was fast to Spring Creek that's a plus. Day two and I had to mention the pasta taste better than yesterday definitely very tasty.

Yelp
Surprised that I haven't written a review for this Footprints. Its been a neighborhood staple in East Flatbush for over a decade. They are HOME of the Rasta Pasta! There I said it, their Rasta Pasta is thee best! Other restaurants try but sadly fail at this dish, they NEVER come close to Footprints' Rasta Pasta! Must be some secret FP recipe I presume lol My go to dish here is OBVIOUSLY the Rasta Pasta with jerk chicken strips! It always hit! I normally order for take out from here, but I had a good dine in experience here with my Mom and daughter a while back. We brought my Mom here for her bday when she visited from overseas and we had a good time. Me and my daughter got the Jerk tenders w/ Rasta Pasta and my mom got Salmon and mashed potatoes. My mom is extremely picky and is pescatarian, but to my surprise she enjoyed her meal, so dinner was def a hit! Service was good, even though they were busy as USUAL. This location is often packed and the wait time for a table can be horrendous. But what do you expect if the food is bomb!!?? Our drinks were also good and we were digging the reggae music pumping in the background..This is a cool spot overall with a good vibe!

Joel S.

Yelp
I placed an Uber pick up order at 7pm with an estimated ready time of 8:42p. At 8:42 I was told to wait another 20 minutes, I connected with the manager who then realized my order was never started the entire time. It was frustrating and disappointing to see this be the regular experience guests can expect.

Yelp
Had a beautiful time catching up with girlfriends. Enjoyed my Snapper Shrimp cabbage salad with peas and rice, smothered in brown gravy. Topped meal off with Pina colada. Girlfriends had, Rasta pasta and oxtails, Rasta pasta jerked chicken, and jerked chicken with fries, They all enjoyed. The Rasta Pasta was banging, had a bite of theirs. Definitely would recommend this spot/location

Yelp
So I went back for some girl brunch talk around 3pm. We got a nice table outside but it was too hot especially 2 sips of Alcohol smh so we moved inside. Waitress was cool about it she helped us move our drinks to indoor table wit do A/C. I ordered a mango Margarita " Happy hour yass and it was strong af! My friend ordered a Mango Martini she said wasn't that strong and a little on the sweet side. So from then on Only Mango Marg's lol We ordered another round and a guy at the bar sent us 2 rounds. Officially lit on Hump day! Now food when I come to footprints Im getting the Rasta Pasta period added some jerk chicken and shrimp again. Was tasty as per usual and a lot so of course lunch for work. My bestie got the Oxtail rice n peas with plantain. The oxtails were tender and flavorful so was the rice the only thing the plantains were overripe no bueno! But everything else was A1 so its okay . Let me add our waitress Yanique was very patient and attentive especially after we moved from the outside to the inside lol. It was definitely a lit hump day and good vibes as usual..

Nicole F.

Yelp
If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. The service was terrible. The waiters kept passing our table for over 20 minutes before taking out order, didn't give any utensils or water, and only put in half our order which we waited over 40 minutes for. When the waiter brought water, which I had to request, he brought a pitcher of water with no glasses. When the orders finally came, the goat was pure bone. What is most upsetting is this restaurant has the nerve to automatically add on a 17% gratuity. Tips are for service. I should not have to pay gratuity for terrible service.

Yelp
Ordered food from here via Uber eats - it was a BOGO Rasta pasta with shrimp. Y'all it took 4 hours to get to me. I called multiple times, the lady who answered said it was coming out then and idk if time paused or what but the food didn't come out till 2 hours later. Even my Uber driver had to pass over to someone else because he was tired of waiting. He joked that they were probably catching the fish lol. And sadly when the food did come, it was incredibly salty. It's a shame because their food can be good but they need to work on being more efficient, transparent with customers who are waiting and not overloading their food with salt because there's no need for that.

Yelp
Food: The Rasta pasta, oxtail pasta, goat pasta, and anything pasta is yummy! The King fish (steamed) was tasty and topped with Okra and carrots. Rum punch drinks were incredibly strong. The non-alcoholic daiquiri was tasty. Plantains were naturally sweet and not sweetened with additives. Food here is quality. Yes, there are vegetarian options. Ambiance: Good vibes! I saw a huge TV with sports playing and dim blue lighting by the bar. A few couples came here for brunch and a few singles hang out at the bar. Most visitors were groups of friends. Also the place might be family friendly (as I did see one child at a table but I didn't notice any kids menu). Cleanliness: I didn't get a chance to see the bathroom. Menus were wiped clean, utensils and glassware was very clean and wrapped in napkins on the table. Service: The hostess and waitress were patient and did their job. All Orders came out correctly and communication was easy. Noise: Very low noise level. You can have a conversation here. Music is played very low. The place was not crowded 2:00pm on a Saturday Overall: This is a good place to bring friends and enjoy some really good food. The wait time was long for the food but well worth the wait. The place is cozy so I recommend coming for lunch. I will return and I also order plenty take out from this location. Street parking was easy on Saturday.

Yelp
Stopped in here on Thursday to treat my dad to lunch. I want to preface this by saying: I've been coming to Footprints for YEARS and I'll be sharing my experience from that day as well as providing you with an overall perspective of the restaurant since I've been several times. On Thursday we went in the afternoon. My dad is on the older side and so since this place gets PACKED in the evenings- earlier is better if you want to have a hassle free time. If you want to experience the crowd, then hey, by all means go for a later time. This is my first piece of advice. Our server that day, did take a while to get to us, and when he did, he was very frazzled as he mixed up my order and he was a bit impatient with my dad (as I said he's older so he needs time). Despite his frazzled and impatient behavior, he was polite enough. So my second piece of advice is: in Footprints the service is really a toss up. For the years that I've been coming here, I've had ALL KINDS of servers. Their consistency is just non-existent. When I do have a server that is unbearable, I do complain to management though and they are very responsive. Now, for our food and drinks- DELICIOUS. This is what keeps us coming back to supporting this establishment. Their Jamaican cuisine is the best around in Brooklyn and it has been this way for as long as I can remember! Their food is consistently mouth watering and I have yet to have a meal from Footprints that I didn't like. On this day, I had the chicken and shrimp salad and my dad had Rasta Pasta with Salmon. The salad wasn't boring at all as it was filled with flavor and seasoned well. Same thing for dads Rasta Pasta. In terms of physical environment, they can definitely do better with that. The bathroom wasn't that great as it needed cleaning (toilet paper was everywhere etc) and the tables and chairs can be updated to more of a modern look and feel (my opinion). The music is always good here though, as they stay true to Caribbean vibes at all times. So here's my overall perspective: if you've never been to footprints it's worth a try as the food is amazing however be prepared for a very causal environment, hit or miss service, and a crowd (if you go later in the evening). Don't write off this Brooklyn staple- just be prepared. If I could give it 3.5 stars I would, but instead I have to I Opt for 3. Hope this helps!

Yelp
Came in yesterday for happy hour with some friends. Ordered saltfish fritters and 2 drinks, the drinks were nothing to write home about but the food... TERRIBLE. The saltfish fritters were cold, 98% dough and 2% saltfish. Considering the price point of saltfish, Im sure they can afford to put more. The sauced wings my friends ordered were slimey in texture. We asked to speak with a manager, however she was too busy on the phone to address the issue. Our server was super nice and did his best in spite of the circumstances. Im sure this place stays in business because there isnt much competition in the area. Such a shame, Footprints used to be such a gem. AVOID IF POSSIBLE.

Yelp
Food has always been consistent, at least amongst the times I've been. Love the Rasta pasta. The service is the only thing that's a little lack luster, not very welcoming or personable. The drinks are always on point. Probably the best and strongest drinks I've had from anywhere. The ambiance isn't much to brag about but everything else makes up for it

Yelp
Had a late dinner there with my girlfriend. The service was very slow. The waitress was not attentive at all. I had to go to find her. The food Gus lot came out. It was ok. My jerk chicken was cold. I'm a foodie and I'm also fair. It was after 8pm. I will give them another try.

Yelp
First of all the music was wayyyy too loud for a Monday evening. Felt like a night club. Couldn't eat in peace. Waitress was rude and food which was a salad took 25 minutes. When asked why it's taking so long she said it's not ready, no apologies. Very displeased with the service. Please teach your staff manners.

Yelp
HI Guys, This restaurant had little to no parking. We had to park in the McDonalds parking lot just to get in. Once inside the restaurant was small-ish. There was seating by the bar, off to the side by the entrance, and outside patio. They required COVID cards to dine in. We ordered our food to go. We ordered the oxtails and rasta pasta and jerk chicken. I think the food was tasty. But the oxtails was a bit savory sweet.... I think they would have been much better if they were offered spicy. Otherwise the oxtails were tender and seasoned well. The pasta was nice too.

Yelp
The Rasta Pasta is hit and miss. Before COVID, everything was on point. Unfortunately, after the pandemic it's been random select. Usually, the weekends is when the food is consistent.

Yelp
The food was VERY mid and the customer service was horrible. The waitress didn't check on us once. I had to stop her to order a second round of drinks. Haven't been in years but will NEVER go again The Rasta Pasta was bland as hell. Best thing was the second round of rum punch.

Yelp

Yelp
I am very disappointed at Footprints Caribbean Restaurant located on Flatbush Avenue. I had the restaurant to cater food on Wednesday, Nov 22nd for my family to celebrate Thanksgiving . I was told the food will be ready for pick up at 7:00pm that evening. When I brought the food home, the peas and rice were dried due to it being burnt, the stew chicken and oxtails were overcooked where some of the meats were actually burnt. I had to end up finding the time to cook onThanksgiving day which defeated the purpose of having the restaurant catered. I will not support their business again especially since no one responded to my email about their service.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years and just never wrote a review. First I love the Caribbean culture of NY.. the boroughs (lol if you know) especially Queens and BK Parking was easy to find. I went on Friday night immediately the vibes from the DJ upon walking in the door was setting the tone it was party time..either at the bar or seated at your table. I ordered curry goat & a rum punch. Everything came out in a decent time. I ate all the food before I could think or taking pictures lol. But the food and drinks were on point.
