"It is all about crepes at this small but sweet place on M.A.C Ave. Launching in 2014 at Lansing City Market, For Crepe Sake relocated downtown to serve locals and MSU students sweet and savory crepes. Sweet crepes include the Campfire — topped with marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate glaze — while the savory side features creative flavor combos like the Orchard — prepared with ham, cinnamon apple butter, aged white cheddar, and caramelized onions. In addition, customers can select from a variety of Belgian waffles topped high with fruit, sweet sauces like caramel or Nutella, or even à la mode with a scoop of vanilla ice cream." - Julianne Noye

Our first visit this morning and so glad we popped in! Excellent, friendly customer service; delicious breakfast crepes; fantastic coffee. What more do you want? Some of the light fixtures could use a cleaning and drop ceiling tiles replaced, but otherwise the space is soothing and takes me back to European cafes. We will be back for more, soon!

This is our second time coming to For Crepe Sake and it was just as wonderful as the first. My friends recommended the cinnamon roll crepe which was delicious, though a tad sweet for my taste. It is definitely more of a dessert crepe. We also got the fruit tart crepe which was exactly what we were looking for. The tangy lemon balances well with the sweet cream while the fresh fruit offers a relief and keeps it from becoming overwhelmingly sweet. This place is always clean, and it didn’t matter if we came here near open or during peak hours. The staff is friendly and our crepes came quickly. Overall recommend for both couples and friends.

Very cute contemporary place, and the breakfast crepes are Amazing. They even do latte art, and they have benches near the front windows, it feels like you're sitting in an NYC cafe. I was hungry so I forgot to take a pic before we got a couple bites.

We visited around an hour before closing and the restaurant was empty. We felt hurried since the staff said they wanted to close early, so we were there for a total of 20 minutes, including wait time. The crepes were great - especially the savory vegetarian crepe with sundried tomato pesto inside.

I visited For Crepe Sake on a Sunday afternoon. The hours posted on their website, Google, and FB do not match. This was confusing. I had a Lavender iced latte, blueberry goat sweet crepe, and classic savory crepe. The latte was good. The blueberry goat sweet crepe was okay; it had an - overpowering sweet taste. The classic savory wasn't great. It was very salty, and the mustard flavor overtook the flavor of ham and cheese. The atmosphere was okay, however the ceilings are very dirty. The music they had on that day to me was quite loud. I was expecting more of a cafe experience. The lady who assisted me was kind and explained the menu well. The drink and food came out quickly. I am gluten-free, not by choice, and they upcharged for this (not an issue). The cost overall is pricey, and I don't think the food was that great for the cost.

My first experience was definitely a success. The staff was very friendly and helpful in making menu suggestions. When you walk in the smell is amazing like fresh bakery. I got the lemon crepe and a cafe mocha with Carmel (hot). Everything was definitely a 10 out of 10. It’s definitely aesthetically pleasing and super clean. Great lightening and a nice spot for a lunch date, coffee meet up or some time alone. Very small and quaint but refreshing. It’s a cashless place so only cards accepted as well as tap pay/Apple Pay. Highly recommend.
