Rapper Kodak Black, Three Others Shot Outside LA Hotspot the Nice Guy | Eater LA

"A popular smash-burger concept with existing locations in Hollywood and Whittier has opened a third outpost in Glendale inside a strip mall. The new shop, located south of Chevy Chase, already has signage up but will operate on limited hours as it ramps up operations." - Farley Elliott

EDIT: I’ve got to crank them up from 4 to 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ second visit and pic, absolutely crushed it at FTW The burger game here in Los Angeles just keeps getting better and better. I’m here at “For The Win” burgers in Glendale and I just had one of the best burgers of my life! Easily in my top 10 of all time anywhere and tied for 1st with Irv’s in Burbank. Very simple LA style, smash patty, griddled onions, pickles, and fry sauce on a toasted Martin’s potato roll. WOW! 🍔 😋 Parking can be extremely difficult so be patient. Also, order ahead online. I waited about 30 minutes for my burger. No public restrooms, very little seating maybe 5 stools and counter top bar style seating.

10/10 across the board: The staff is personable & make this spot a welcoming atmosphere. We stumbled upon this spot by accident & now it’s high on our list of go to places. The smash burgers are delicious & the fries have a great crisp outside.

Google
We ordered the Cheeseburgers with the grilled sweet onions and pickles topped with their sauce, loaded fries and Brussel sprouts. Everything was tasty. The smashed cheeseburgers were perfectly cooked. The Brussel sprouts were delicious and went perfectly with the hamburgers. The loaded fries were delicious, but could've used more sauce. The sauce didn't quite spread throughout the fries. Place is small so this will not accommodate a large group. Eat in the car or take it to go are the other 2 options. Overall, this place lives up to its name, hamburgers "for the win!"

Google
Snappy smash burgers with a kick in the sauce. Pretty delicious, but at $9-12+ a burger (extra for tomato, lettuce, etc), not including fries or drink, I’d go with In n’ Out every time. Also because there’s a slight kick in the sauce, kids may not like it (learns this the hard way). Fries are similar to in’n’out—which I’m not a big fan of. Small CA style interior, basically space for 6 people to stand or sit at a bar against the wall, which I find charming. The burger joint version of an Italian espresso bar.

Google
For the Win continues to be my favorite smash burger in all of Los Angeles. I’ve never walked away disappointed — the burgers are consistently perfect, with that ideal crispy-edged smash and great flavor every single time. Pairing it with the sweet potato fries is my go-to move, and it elevates the entire meal. The portions always hit the spot without feeling heavy, and the quality is remarkably consistent across visits. It’s one of those places I confidently recommend to anyone looking for a standout burger experience in LA.

Google
Late night 9:30pm. Had a triple burger with fries/ no sauce sub bbq sauce. It’s hard to believe that food this great really exists. Definitely, top 3 burgers I’ve ever had in my 51 years on earth! The stove was full with burgers when I walked in and the two people were beyond busy. They both were super nice and went above and beyond, super accommodating!. Definitely, worth my 21 mile each way late night food grab! A+ and thank you!

Google
Nice hidden spot in a little shopping center. Went there to try it out and it was worth the little drive. Will for sure be going again! You order from a big screen and get your own drink. Then the food comes and boom! Nice little spot. Sits just a few but the burgers are good and the sweet potato fries! AMAZING!

Google
Came here on a Sunday night and was quite pleased with the food and the customer service. The guy working, I think his name started with a D or it was D? He was very helpful with the menu and recommended the brussel sprouts so I obviously had to get them 🤭 the burger tasted great, the fries were seasoned perfectly, and the brussel sprouts were crispy, 10/10 would recommend coming!

Yelp
What a great burger!! Still one of the best smash in town and without the bells and whistles. Staff and service always friendly and accommodating and the place is located in a strip mall that has plenty of parking and never crazy lines. You might liken the 80's posters too ;) We keep on coming back!!

Yelp
For the Win is a local burger chain with a couple locations in the LA area specializing in smash burgers. I saw the shop in a feature on the local independent burger scene and thought I'd check it out. For the Win promises a good - quite good - burger at an elevated price that makes it a one-and-done visit. I swung by on a Sunday afternoon, and placed my order on one of two touchscreens. I was not greeted on entry nor asked if I had any questions, despite bringing in tow my quite charismatic infant who universally invites a warm reception. The young lady behind the counter seemed idle with few orders making the lack of a greeting especially jarring. There may have been a slight language barrier after talking briefly on receiving my order, but with two people working in such a small shop I found the touchscreens unnecessary and removed the personal touch I look for in independent spots like this. I ordered a double cheeseburger ($13.40) which was great. Soft beef, a slightly crispy edge (which could be more caramelized / crispy to push into 5/5 territory), gooey cheese, and an excellent potato roll, grilled onion, and sauce. Aside from maybe a touch more crisp at the edges the burger was perfect. I disliked how the menu had every topping (lettuce, tomatoes) at an extra charge. For a burger of this price these should be gratis. I understand a classic smash burger doesn't have this, but this struck me more as nickel and diming rather than customization. The inside is spartan, with some retro art on the walls. Supplies and cases of soft drinks are visible behind the counter, cheapening the façade. Everything is clean but doesn't leave the impression of a place I'd like to bring a family to. Take out recommended. Prices, as above, are elevated, although the food quality (just) justifies the price. Overall For the Win offers a great burger, mediocre location and service, at an elevated price. Is it a winner? Sure, but it's no champion. Food: 4.5/5 Service: 3.5/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5 Value: 4/5

Yelp
Came in around 1pm on weekday and only one other customer which was great. Friendly staff greeted me when i walked into the small entrance. Easy ordering via the touchpad. I added lettuce & tomato and opted out of the grilled onions. Double cheeseburger came quickly and was delicious and fantastically smashed. Great texture to the patties that were well seasoned and held a pleasant amount of grease/juice. American cheese was creamy and added classic flavor--speaking of flavor the fry sauce on the burger had great balance of ketchup/mayo+. Wish the price point was a bit lower but I'm sure covering rent in LA is not cheap. Definitely recommend especially during off peak hours. Great cheeseburger

Yelp
My favorite burger spot in LA!! My only complaint is the $1.30 charge for the fry sauce. They used to give you the small cup but now you only get 1 packet. Seriously, $1.30 for one packet of sauce. I was very disappointed when I got home to see 7 packets of ketchup (which I don't even use) and 1 packet of fry sauce

Yelp
Great burger. Small space with indoor and outdoor seating, good place to grab a meal if you are waiting to get your car fixed

Yelp
I'm one who's always up for a good smash burger, but this For the Win location was a bit disappointing. The burger itself was great but for the price point, we could've easily dined at a better spot. Spent $100 for 3 single cheeseburgers, 2 double cheeseburgers (with no additional toppings), 4 fries and 1 order of brussel sprouts (which was my favorite out of the entire meal). Was charged 75 cents extra for ranch as well as a 4% kitchen service charge. There is no where to sit inside aside from a few seats against the wall. No restrooms to wash your hands. They also couldn't provide cups of ice water. Unfortunately I don't plan to come back because this one missed the mark and was more like "For the Loss".

Yelp
I'm not sure if it was the location, the day, or the staff, but I can honestly say this was on the worse end of smash burgers I've had. The location is small with an accompanying small section of bar seating and some seating outside with uncomfortably small tables. The strip mall is busy, it's hard to find a spot at any time of the day and the residental street parking is quite busy as well. We got both the sweet potato and normal fries which were pretty decent, but it's ruined by their fry sauce. It could have been the batch but it's just perhaps too sweet with an unappetizing mouthfeel. It's served on the side though, so you can opt out. The burger patties were a decent size, but again was ruined by the fry sauce. The patties themselves had no sear from maillard reaction, there wasn't enough heat. It's also not like the cost is that cheap. I know the burger game in LA is tough and nobody is beating In-N-Out. But even a stone's throw away there are superior burgers for less. Out of respect I won't outright name them, but for that reason I don't feel compelled to give it another try either.

Yelp
Swung by tonight. Looked like it was poppin' with how many orders were being pushed out. Respect to the staff! Sweet potato fries were super burnt. Much better burgers within a 5 mile radius. Don't waste your time here if you're looking to be blown away.

Yelp
For the Win is a bit overrated in my opinion. This location is tucked inside a tiny closet-sized nook within a small strip mall. The parking lot is cramped and almost impossible to find a spot so you'll likely need to head down the street. You wouldn't even know there's a burger place there if it wasn't for the line of people waiting to order or waiting for their food. There's hardly any seating, only a couple small tables, so plan on eating elsewhere. It's elbow-room only inside, not even enough space to stand and wait. You will have to pay LA prices for a cheeseburger, fries, Brussel sprouts, and can of soda. Also need to pay extra for lettuce or tomato as they are not staples here, which is a bummer since I don't normally like pickles or onions. I do prefer the smash burger style to other burger varieties, and their burgers are a generous size. They are also super gooey and saucy. However, the buns are too small for what's inside. The fries are good but nothing remarkable. I really enjoyed the burssel sprouts, they had a nice tangy flavor and crispy shell. If there was no wait and less claustrophobic places to enjoy a meal, I would be all about FTW, but as is, this location is hectic and the burger just doesn't wow me for the price tag. I hope to find a better location for a future visit.

Yelp
I went there for the first time to try out a smash burger, so I ordered and firstly, they forgot to put the bacon that I paid for and secondly, there's a piece of plastic inside my burger. So bye bye guys you've lost a potential customer.

Yelp
I love a good smash burger and For The Win has one of the best in town. So it is with a heavy heart that I have to give them 3 stars. It's not because of the food because it is outstanding. It's because of the location. There is hardly any seating, there are piles of supplies stacked everywhere you can see, and the service is always hit and miss. If it had a few tables, they neatened up the place, and had consistent service, I'd give them more stars. But the food is top notch and absolutely delicious. And that's what keeps me coming back.

Yelp
Burgers still bomb, but customers require a lot of work. Maybe these poor employees need some help. The stress is affecting the politeness of customer service. I walked in, and when no one acknowledged me, I said hello. The person just said, "It's not ready; I'm working here!" in an unfriendly tone. Food isn't good when the tone is i Unwelcoming. They had a lot of orders up but only saw this one guy working. So sad for him and for me. I spent $20 bucks on this service plus tip.

Yelp
This place definitely lives up to all the hype on all platforms of social media!!! I live in Glendale and have seen this place 2-3 times per week, but because I am always trying places outside of Glendale, I have never had the time. Leading up to our visit, I had seen that there were opening more locations and started to look at the postings, and man, the burgers looked good and thier fries, also lots of talk about their fries.. So we gave it try, and man, do those girls at this location work their butt's off!! So we ordered everything we could and man was it worth it!! Food and Flavor 5 Stars Customer Service and Speed of Food 5 Stars

Yelp
I'd heard great things about this place from one of those Best Burgers in LA articles and I'm always up for a great burger so on a rainy Sunday afternoon I made my up to Glendale to try it. I got the hamburger, fries and (to be somewhat healthy) the Brussels sprouts. I got my food to go, but I couldn't resist trying a few fries in the car and it was so worth it. The fries were hot and crispy, they are thin cut old school style, not soggy even though they were in a bag. The burger and Brussels sprouts that I ate at home were good too. The burger was smash burger style, juicy and well seasoned. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and tasty also, I think they were fried so they were not as healthy as I was hoping for but it was still a veggie on my plate no less. The staff was friendly and it seemed like a place where locals would go. It's nothing too fancy and there's not a lot of room inside so I wouldn't say you should plan on eating here with a big group. As I waited on my food, other people came in and grabbed their food to go. The counter inside is large enough to seat a few patrons for a quick bite. If you're in the area and want a good burger and fresh hot fries, this is your spot.
google avatar

Shelley D.

Yelp
Not a ton of space to sit inside, but they do have outside seating. They have a small delicious menu. I'm a big fan of the single hamburger, and the ranch dressing is very good (you have to pay extra but it's fresh) with some fries. Brussel sprouts are very tasty as well. Milkshake is made from creamy ice cream.

Yelp
Very Solid burger spot and they got smash burgers for days. I heard about this place online and was interested in trying it. The fries were solid and the burgers had the sauce that brought it altogether. I came here hungry and wasn't disappointed. I reccomend getting the a double smash burger and fries

Yelp
National Cheeseburger Day! $2 dollar joints?!?! Ayoooooo! CONSISTENT! This my second thyme pullin' up to FTW and first thyme at this location and one thing stands true...they know how to smash burgers! The service was top tier, ambiance is like an old hole in the wall type vibes (which imo are the places with the best food!) The patry was grilled to a crisp and I loved that the cook onions into it. The cheese and sauce combination was top tier with the acidity and crunch from the pickle made for an heavenly experience! 10/10 it's worth the hype, the prices are a little steep but you're paying for quality! LOVE!
google avatar

Yelp
This is hands-down the best Smashburger I have had in the area and it's not even close. I own a couple of restaurants as well and I was completely blown away by the quality of this burger. This is a must try. I can't believe I've lived in the area this long I didn't know about this place.

Lexi S.

Yelp
I ordered a double cheeseburger, added lettuce & tomato with a side of fries and ranch. Cheeseburger was smash burger style seasoned well with burger sauce and add-ons. The burger was deliciously crispy but very messy.... napkins are needed ! Fries were well done with great flavor too....will definitely visit again! Inside the vibe is small and cozy, almost like an old school sandwich shop. Drinks are self service and they have a self service kiosk to place orders as well! Very cool if there isn't a worker present you can still place your order.
google avatar

Kevin P.

Yelp
No where as good as their Hollywood location, it felt like I was eating a burger from two different branded restaurant. This location is a lot smaller and only seats about 4 people max, 7 if you count the outdoor tables. The patties here are not heavy on the onions hence it was a bit more dry. There were also less sauce and the buns were less toasted. If you are trying for the hype, definitely make your way out to the Hollywood location

Yelp
One of the Best Burgers in California! I had to check out For The Win Burgers after hearing so many good things, and it did not disappoint! I went for the double cheeseburger and added bacon -- it was perfection. The burger was incredibly moist, and the bun was soft and fresh, holding everything together perfectly. This is definitely one of the top burgers in California! Now, my next stop is Easy Street Burgers, but I will absolutely be coming back here for more. Cost for burger and fry with a side of ranch was about $17 Highly recommend!

Yelp
This smashed burger place is tucked away in a plaza that has multiple parking spots. This restaurant is tiny in size offering limited seats inside and a few outdoor seating tables. Your best bet is eating inside your car or taking the food to go! The vibes in this place is modern retro, the decor in the restaurant is unique. The menu board is well displayed with the prices listed, you order your food at the kiosk which is effective and quick. The employee D who helped me when I had questions was kind and took the time to help me figure out what to order! Great customer service. The smash burger is crispy and had a ton of flavor from the sauce, cheese, burger, pickles, lettuce, onion, and tomato. So good I had to stop myself from devouring it! The brussel sprouts were amazing, they're perfectly crispy and had a savory balsamic vinegar flavor! Soooo good I could eat a whole bowl of them. The fries were fresh, hot, seasoned and crispy as well. This is a solid place if you're craving a smash burger and you're in the Glendale area! For The Win actually has multiple locations so I'd recommend searching for one closest to you!

Yelp
Tasted exactly like an In N Out double-double animal style but at twice the price (maybe more), no bathroom, and cramped seating arrangements. Two double smash burgers w/ cheese, two fries, no drinks, $41 before tip. The French fries are better, but not so different that I would drive across town and wait in line to pay double for them without access to a bathroom. The patties have an extra crust on the edges, but the taste in the middle of the patties was eerily close to an In N Out burger including the taste of their spread. Did I mention there was no bathroom? You have to go to the mall. The mall. The MALL! Not next door, not the Starbucks across the street. An 8 min drive away, pay for parking, and take the escalator to the nearest bathroom kind of mall. It took us so long, we almost decided just to stay and eat at the mall. But, we'd heard so much about these smash burgers. Best in LA, as the foodies say. We paid way too much for mid food with a ton of hype.

Yelp
Very limited seats inside, only just a few seats inside and outside. The store is also very small, but luckily it seems like they are not too busy. We ordered at the self-order kiosk, which made ordering very simple! We both got a single cheeseburger and loaded fries. It did take awhile for them to prepare our order, but it seems like it does take quite some time. Once we ordered, we sat outside at the tables in front of the store. Looking at the hamburgers, they were a lot smaller than you would imagined for a smash burger. It wasn't overwhelmingly huge or greasy after. First off the buns were very soft. The burger sauce they used for this was actually pretty good too! It seems like they were well known for their burger sauce. The patty itself wasn't all that impressive, but could definitely be better. It just tasted very standard. As for the loaded fries, they were sour than we had imagined? It also had its own fries sauce but it didn't really taste like it complemented the dish at all. There could have been more fries as well. Generally, the portions here were surprisingly underwhelming. The food was decent, but it wasn't wow amazing. I had a better smash burger in another state.

Yelp
TLDR - good burgers but kinda pricey; skip the Brussels sprouts. We came to FTW on a Friday night and when we arrived, it was pretty empty but as soon as we finished placing our order, a line had formed behind us well into the parking lot. So needless to say this place can get packed quickly. The restaurant is tucked into the corner of an L-shaped strip mall off of Brand where there are a good number of retailers. When we went however, it was after hours for most but I imagine the lot will be quite crowded during the day. Also, the parking spots near the corner are especially tight as we witness at least 3 close accidents during our time there as multiple cars came within an inch of one another when coming and going in and out of parking spaces. So be careful or park on the street. The staff was pretty busy when we went but still friendly overall, however we did our ordering thru the kiosk which was entirely self serve. When our food was ready, they call our name and we picked it up at the counter. There really isn't much to the restaurant itself than a condiments and napkins counter and then an L-shaped standing counter to eat at inside. The outside has 1 handicap table and another mini counter w stools. So you're more likely to take your food to go. We ordered the single patty cheeseburger w lettuce, a chicken sandwich and the Brussels sprouts and ate at the table outside. The cheeseburger's patty was super flat. I've been to smash burger places before but this places patties seemed extra flat compared to others. While the. Burger taste good and was well cooked, it was a small burger which was $9 to start. We added lettuce but it was $1 for like 2 leaves of iceberg which felt like robbery. The chicken sandwich had 3 pieces of fried chicken cut up and stacked between 2 buns with some sauce and pickles. It tasted decent and the chicken was well cooked but it was missing something more. Like a tomato of lettuce... but I didn't feel like paying an extra $1 for each add-on. Last were the Brussels sprouts. These were super deceiving and heavily seasoned. Normally when k get sprouts, they're halved of whole, but these were completely torn apart which made the illusion of there being a lot more than there actually was. The broken leaves filled the box making it look full, but it wasn't. On top of that, because the sprouts had been torn apart, the seasoning got on everything everywhere--which could be a good thing but isn't when the food is over seasoned. The sprouts were so salty/bitter we couldn't finish them. Then, well over an hour after the meal--we were both still tasting the lingering sourness of the sprouts in our mouths. We do NOT recommend the sprouts. So overall, while the cheeseburger and chicken sandwich both tasted good, they however were on the smaller side and rather stingy/ridiculously priced for add-ons--this lost a star from us based on value/being reasonably priced. The burgers are already expensive but $1 for lettuce!? The Brussels sprouts are a hard pass from us and the reason this place got lost a second star from us. We would dock a half star but that's not an option on Yelp and in this case, I'd rather knock it a whole star than a half because that's how much we disliked the sprouts.
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
The burgers are great. You have to Try them. Also, sweet potato fries. It's a small burger joint with not much seating so order take out.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
What a bummer man I spent so much money on burgers there - and these guys are just so overworked the burgers come out sloppy just hanging off the bun with very little spread - it's the second time I've had a bad experience here and these guys were just overwhelmed by the amount of orders. There was als no napkins, which was so bizarre.

Yelp
Came in on a Friday night around 7pm and was lucky that there were just a couple people in line before us. We got our food within 10 minutes of ordering but it could easily have been a 15-20 min wait had we gotten there after the rush. Employees were hard to reach since it's a kiosk set up, we had to peak our heads over the counter to get their attention to ensure we got loaded fries added and they weren't listed on the kiosk. Pro-tip: when ordering the loaded fries, you have to add two quantity of the regular fries and then let the employees know. Also make sure you print or text yourself the receipt so you know your order # when it gets called. We ordered two double smash burgers, a mexicoke, and loaded fries and our total came out to $43.15 after tax/before tip. The patty's were extremely smashed to the point where the meat was hanging off the side of the bun, which made it difficult to bite into but was easy to take off and repurpose for the loaded fries. The brioche bun was good and meat tasted very peppery. The sauce was hard to taste on the burger given the generous amount of cheese. Loaded fries were pretty solid in my opinion for the price given the portion and crispyness of the fries themselves. Bottom line: very surprised this ranked #1 on @infatuation_la's smash burger list - burger was okay, very pricey at $12.50 for the double patty and very expensive to add lettuce and tomato for $2. - The loaded fries were hefty and had a good amount of cheese. For $10 these are easily better than in n out animal style fries since prices are comparable. - overall, not sure what the hype is on this place as it's not a place I would plan my day around or rush to come back to and wondered if I got this place confused with "The Window" burger establishment in Silverlake. - you're paying higher prices likely because it's a small business compared to a chain establishment like Shake Shack. Although shake shack is similar and cheaper in price.

Yelp
Oh my god those burgers and fries are amazing!! Great little place, and you can tell how much pride the cooks take in their work. Will definitely be back:)
google avatar

Krista F.

Yelp
Their burgers are bussin! I got the double smash, side of sweet potatoes fries which were also cooked to perfection and side of fry sauce and ranch which the sauces were great. Small fast casual place with indoor and outdoor seating
google avatar

Vanessa R.

Yelp
Not a fan. My girlfriend has been hyping this place up because she's seen a lot about it online but it was disappointing. The burger patty itself wasn't very flavorful. And the fries? Wayyyy too salty. I love fries as much as the next person but I couldn't even finish 1/3 of these. The fry sauce is not worth paying extra for- very tangy and not good. I also didn't like that lettuce and tomato are extra and not included for a burger that's just very basic in terms of flavor. The vibes seemed really off with the employees- they seemed really dead on the inside ?? Pretty tight space inside with some counter seating. Two tables outside as well. This place was a half hour drive for us to get here and it was not worth it at all in the end. I'm surprised this place is as hyped up as it is. It was also pretty crowded when we came. Wouldn't come back or recommend.
google avatar

Liiban O.

Yelp
As a self proclaimed smash burger connoisseur I wanted to like this place so much but it didn't do it for me. Everything just tasted really salty and too much sauce on the burger. The chicken sandwich was pieces of tenders between a bun, I was hoping for a whole breast.

Yelp
I came here because I was so hungry and crave a smash burger and this is the closest burger i could find. - The ambiance: Small space and there are only 4 seats ( Bar seats) - Service: There are two guys working here, one doesn't speak English ( but he's nice and welcoming) and the other ( I guess it was a bad day for him) - Food: the burger itself in my opinion is bland. The price is different compare to other "For the win" stores. It's lightly higher, I ordered Smash cheeseburger came out to be $17-18 for a burger, and I order a Coke but they didnt have ice. So my lunch was $22 for a burger and a coke. It was interesting but I won't come back, maybe a different For The Win store not this one
google avatar

Pablo D.

Yelp
Hard to beat this smash burger - meat is seasoned so well and the service is quick! Overall its only downfall is how small it is inside to sit and enjoy your burger but since most order pickup/delivery I've never struggled to find a seat.
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I have been going around LA to try smash burgers. So far - For the Win is at the top. Perfect burger. The sprouts were also great!

Yelp
I'm not sure what the fuss is about. The double cheeseburger was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. I asked for jalapeños and they REALLY loaded them on there! Honestly, there were more jalapeños than meat, and I ended up throwing half of them away. It was still the primary flavor profile. Also, I got the brussels sprouts, and they were good, but again, nothing special. Overly dressed and too limp. Service was quick and friendly. The place is a complete hole in the wall and zero-frills. We went on a cold, rainy night, so only about 8 seats in a tiny space inside. I'd eat a burger there again, but I'd never make a special trip.

Yelp
I try not to write negative reviews but I just had to do it this time. This was the worst burger and fries. The meat was thinner than usual for a smash burger. The cook forgot the grilled onions and the fries were undercooked. I really wanted to like this place but maybe next time.

Yelp
I was craving burgers so I decided to try this place out. I got the triple smash burger with pickles, cheese and jalapeños with a side of French fries. Some might say it's expensive but it was worth every bite. The smash burger was filled with amazing flavors. The jalapeños gave it some kick but not too spicy. The French fries were salted to perfection and had the right amount of crisp and crunch with every bite. The burger as a whole wasn't too greasy or messy. The interior had seating for individuals while the outside had tables where you can sit face to face. The music was good and not too loud. I ordered off the kiosk which was easy to use. I'd come back here with friends and family.

Yelp
Hands down the best smash burger spot in LA/The valley (but I think the location off of the 101 is a lot better). The quality of the smash burgers and the French fries are just *chefs kiss*. This place can be a little on the more expensive side, but you're getting such quality food it is worth it. I got a double cheese smash burger with some French fries, and I love the grilled onions and the fry sauce that are in the smash burger. The burger is just mouth watering and I could eat this place everytime. When you're ordering, it's just a self service kiosk and mainly one guy packaging the orders and he is pretty efficient with it. You don't really have to wait long unless you're ordering during their busiest times. There's not much places to eat at the restaurant, maybe like a handful of chairs and table to eat.

Yelp
My daughter and I found this place while waiting for service on our car. Highly recommend. Small place with big flavor. Loved our burger and fries and will definitely come back when we get our car serviced.

Yelp
Stop by for lunch while waiting for car at dealership. Small shop with kiosk to order. Got a double cheeseburger with fries and a can of Coke. Order took 20 mins. Overall, not impressed by burger. Simple burger with cheese and sauce, cost extra for onions, tomato and lettuce. It was ok, smash burger was crispy but meh flavor wise. I would definitely take In n Out over this.

Yelp
Honestly came here to see what the hype was about. I have been seeing this place on my social media feed, and finally found the opportunity to try it. Lets dive into the topics that are important to me when visiting a restaurant. Parking: Plenty of parking at this location. Came here during a Saturday evening, the neighboring businesses were all closed, which probably played a big role in why there was so much parking available during my Saturday evening visit. But even if the parking lot was full, there are tons of surrounding street parking, so regardless the time of time, or day of the week, you should be okay with finding parking during your visit. Food selections: If you fancy a smash burger, you've come to the right place. I've tried 4 different locations in the Valley, and I can honestly say this is my favorite location for smash burgers. You can add condiments, or remove them. You can add more patties if you're aiming to increase protein intake. If you're in the mood for chicken sandwiches they have you covered as well. Their chicken sandwich is not thee best, but definitely worth a try. They have fries for your sides, but if you're looking for a healthier option, they have Brussel sprouts, which I tried and YES! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Service: Super friendly, and patient, and didn't mind explaining the items on the menu. So, thank you, appreciate your service. Will definitely be coming back. Seating: Very limited inside, and outdoor seating. Recommend to other yelpers: Absolutely!!!! Give it a try.

Yelp
Wanted to try a new smash burger and found ourselves here! Parking lot is tiny but we got the last spot. Walked in passing all the ppl standing inside waiting for their orders and ordered right away. I got the single cheeseburger and my husband got the double. Apparently the patties are 3 ounces of meat each so I could have easily eaten a double and my husband a triple. The burger itself was delicious. The bun was warm and soft, cheese was melty, had onions pickles and their 'fry sauce' think thousand island but with a tiny kick to it. Shared an order of fries that were okay but better than other places for sure. Food took 30 mins to arrive after ordering. I honestly think that with a hole in the wall spot like that, they need to axe the food delivery options so they can better serve the in-person customers. Inside was tiny, there 6 barstool facing the inside wall. We were lucky to snag 2 stools. outside had 2 small tables in the direct sun. All in all, I would consider returning to satisfy our next burger craving.

Yelp
Just like many of you, we were probably intrigued with For the Win thanks to social media heads claiming it to be one of the best smash burger joints around. Unfortunately, this is not a statement my family and I agree with and I'll tell you why. First off, we have tried a handful of these smashburger joints (again, thanks to IG fave lists) and everyone of them has an amazing smell of burgers being cooked on the burner. Well...For the Win smelled like wet rag. We were able to snag one out of the two tables that are outside for consumers. It was in direct sunlight, but that's not FTW's fault. As soon as our order was done, it was nicely delivered to us. The burger: Not the best but it wasn't awful. The kids didn't like the sauce, but I didn't mind it. The brussel sprouts: Not bad. Probably the fave out of what we ordered. Lightly salted and still had a good crunch. The fries: The least favorite. Remember, the came out fresh, but they were soggy as heck! And it wasn't because of the toppings on them, because if you had grabbed any of the fries without the stuff, it went limp reeeeal quick. Disappointed, but happy we tried it. By the way, parking can be a pain! It's too tiny and tight. We were fortunate enough to get a spot in front, so that was nice, but I could see it being an issue during rush times.

Yelp
A solid smashburger...it has been going down a little in freshness but still tastes great. Wish the burger itself was cooked a little less, tends to be a little on the dry side when they smash it so thin. Milkshake was a little underwhelming. Fries were good.

Yelp
This place is tiny. No washrooms, definitely not FAMILY friendly. Automated set up for ordering and no one there to answer questions or HOST. First timers here. We finally got someone's attention from behind the kitchen and we were told to go "Across the Street" to the gas station to use the washroom there. OK fine. But there is no gas station across the street. It's about half a mile down the road! Not cool. Unfriendly service, terrible set up, and unwelcoming environment. I'm giving it 3 stars for the decent burger and quality ingredients. Burgers are pricey but quality and taste make it worth it, if you're not on a budget. Please, MAKE "For The Win" GREAT AGAIN.

Yelp
One of the top burgers I have had in Los Angeles, no arguing thag. The only burger above this is Burgers Never Say Die, and I absolutely mean that as a compliment. This spot makes THE best burgers. Their fries are also a nice touch. Please go here, it is worth the trip. A Los Angeles must!

Yelp
Burgers are great but a bit pricey. Toppings besides pickles and onions are extra. Was looking forward to trying the brussels sprouts but they were sold out, there was also only two people working when we went.

Yelp
Smash burger. I didn't know was a thing! Place is small but food is tasty. Ordered a cheeseburger. At first bite, it was a mix of McDonald's and In N Out taste. I like the 80s memorabilia as we waited.
