For The Win

Can you believe the hype! First off the smash burger I had today (11/21/2025) from the K town location was good. Seasoned well with the classic crispy edges and gooey, melted cheese. However, I am not a smash burger fan so I have not had many. I will share that at $15+ for a double patty cheeseburger is steep. At my goto (Superburger in Pasadena) burger joint that is an entire meal, fries and soda. I ordered thru online and it was ready on time and packaged well. I did not eat in, but everything looked very clean and organized. Parking can be difficult as the strip mall is small and popular.

Where’s the customer service?!? I mean I have to make my own order, pick it up, and you still want a tip. The attendant did bring my order to me, yet still. The food was good and fresh. But not the best burger I’ve had. Plus extra for veggies like tomatoes and lettuce! Just preparing you all. Enjoy!

Good burgers and fries, disappointing that they charge 10.00 and then want .50 or 1.00 for each standard topping such as onion, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. Interior is a bit spartan, but serves the purpose.

Do not go here. In this time and age more than ever to charge as much as they do for as little as you get is a crime. Their fries are bulk food buys you can get at any store, their burgers are using less than a quarter of a quarter lb of meat per patty and medium quality at best. They charge you for toppings that also are hardly enough to justify the costs. This is a 5.00 burger at best. Maybe 1.50 upcharge per extra patty would be fair. Bacon was awfully generic to be charging nearly three dollars for it. Sodas were hardly an options makes us glad we brought our own drink. For what it will cost you, just go to Carls Jr or McDonalds or we could suggest other more fairly priced and equal if not better "Smash Burger" themes spots.

While this place may be called For The Win, it’s unfortunately not going to win in the face of tsunami of other burger joints that are superior to this place in both pricing and taste. $10+ for burger is quite a pricey proposition and it somehow tastes like an inferior Shake Shack burger which is also similar in price. Don’t get me wrong For The Win doesn’t sell bad burgers but there isn’t anything unique about this place that you can’t get for cheaper & better especially in all of LA. If you’re willing to drive out to Pasadena, I recommend the Original Tops over this place any day of the week.

Place is clean, no one was there when I visited on 3/10 at 5pm. Parking can be challenging in the plaza. Burger was fine, very saucy. I ordered a double cheese burger with jalapenos which came to $15.

First time at this location ordering to go. Not coming back. Not good employees. Got charged on lettuce and tomato, and didn’t got my tomato. Cold fries and cold burger. No ketchup on a side of fries to go? 1 dollar on a side of jalapeños?! Really?!!

I ordered online and showed up 4 minutes before my order was supposed to be ready. I saw my order sitting behind the counter, the only employee proceeded to cook other people's orders while I stood there waiting. Thanks for the cold burger, totally unprofessional.

When: Tues @ 6pm Now, this isn't my first time trying For The Win. My first time would be at the Glendale location. I fell in love with their burgers. So when I heard they opened one here in Koreatown, I was so happy to hear that. Located in a plaza, sharing their parking spots with other establishments, just keep in mind parking is very limited. You'll be lucky to find parking, from what I can see. Walk there, or choose street parking. I got two burgers: a double Smash Cheeseburger with jalapeños, and a regular Smash Cheeseburger with no add-ons. And a side of sweet potato fries. The burgers were juicy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. It truly felt like you were eating high-quality beef patties. I feel like their fry sauce plays a huge factor in their flavor category. Plus, add some jalapeños with the fry sauce, and it enhances the flavor even more *chefs kiss*. Can't forget their soft buns. In & Out needs to take some tips. It's like taking a bite of fluffy clouds. The sweet potato fries were fresh, crispy, and perfectly salted. They looked like they are made to order too. I do like their regular French fries, but something about their sweet potato fries just hit different. Especially with some BBQ sauce! It just hits the spot. Service was fast and friendly. The menu was simple and easy to order. The ambiance from this location was a little off. It doesn't feel cozy, welcoming, or warm like the Glendale location. I highly recommend just ordering to go, go watch your favorite show/movie like I did, and try one of the best-tasting burgers you can have in Koreatown. I will keep coming back, just to have their delicious smash burgers.

Sometimes you just want a simple burger and fries! I had the day off and decided I needed a burger. Stopped by for the Win because it was on the way I was already going and honestly I'm really glad I stopped. Overall really good fresh tasting burger. Easy to order from the kiosk and customize your burger. Fries had a nice crispy crunch and the burger buns had a nice buttery soft quality. Service was smooth and vibe to the space is vibrant with the orange wall colors. I will definitely be back.

This business is horrible if you go to dine in you can't order unless you have a card at 3:00pm march 23 this woman acted as if she didn't want to serve my son and I I called for her and everything she ignored me I told my son we'll eat else where at she laughed while in the back even if she was busy a response to an customer would have been appreciated she just expected me to order on the card machine instead of hosting and me paying cash I would've tipped I hope this business fails if I could give it no stars I would

I've had a burger from For the Win the grand central market location and I've said it one so I'll say it again. For the Win is a top 3 smash burger restaurant in Los Angeles hands down. The burgers are crafted to perfection and are topped with fresh ingredients. I don't know if they use short rib beef or refined ground beef, but the burger patties are smashed so thin that you could eat a triple or a quad and not feel overwhelmed. The service was excellent, i received my meal swiftly and was able to eat before I went to my final destination. I also enjoyed a chocolate milkshake that was a flavorful pleasant treat. The ambiance on the inside is very chill, they have plenty of seating and TVs where you can sit and enjoy your meal. I will continue to visit For the Win when craving a smash burger.

Tasty burger! I'm on a mission to try as many different smash burger spots in LA, as I can, and FTW is in my top 5. I need to eat here again to decide if it's closer to my top 3. I love that you can add jalapeños to the burger. Their vanilla shake was delicious too. We went to the Wilshire location and it was clean and open inside. You place your order using the kiosk and an employee brings to your table.

I was pretty excited to come here based on all the hyped that this place has + the good rating this particular location had. My friends and I came on a Sunday afternoon, and it was pretty empty. I wish the photos on the kiosk actually lined up with what you actually get for that burger. Don't look at the photos and just base your decision on the description! I ended up getting a cheeseburger with sauce on the side and fries. The cheeseburger was good. It doesn't come with any veggies aside from pickles, so if that matters to you, you should be able to add that to your order for an additional cost. Overall, the burger felt really dry. The sauce definitely helped it, but I feel it was still pretty dry in comparison to other smash burgers that I had. The fries were nice and crispy though! I also just wished they had some tap water available, but only water bottles for purchase were available.

Ordered the triple smashburgers--definitely heavy but really tasty. The Brussels sprouts were a great side and complemented the meal perfectly. Loved it!

For The Win in K-Town never misses! The smash burgers are crispy, juicy, and come on the softest buns. I got the single with bacon + jalapeños, perfectly crisp with the right kick.

WAY OVERSALTED. did the burger guy/girl forget to use the sifter on the salt and just pour it on my burger? ordered the double cheeseburger online for pickup to try FTW for the first time. after hearing so many good things about this place, what a disappointment. if salted properly, maybe a 3.5. i've had a better cheeseburger at johnny's in west adams that's similar in flavor profile. WITHOUT THE SALT. spent $13 to be salt bombed here. fries were acceptably salty but wish they had a no salt option online. i liked the taste of their frying oil. hopefully, this was a one time thing, but total SALT BOMB. BLEH. i have to go hydrate and apply lip balm to my parched lips. needless to say, I didn't finish the burger. i'd only come back to order in person or on the phone to specifically tell them to HOLD THE DAMN SALT. holy, sweet salt Jesus. did i mention salt?!!?!?

I thought the cheeseburger was just okay especially for the price. I expected more. The burger didn't really stand out and make me want to order from here again. I've had tastier smash burgers that cost less. The fries were a generous serving. They included a lot of ketchup packets, but I wish they were a name brand like Heinz.

I've ordered from here a couple times and the couple times I have, they've gotten my order wrong both times. Unbelievable how you put in the instructions "Just Bacon and Cheese ONLY" and it still comes with everything on it. Just not good at following simple directions. Not worth the price tag on the food and the headache.

Don't go there. They have only one kiosk, horrible service, they speak in Spanish to each other about you, just don't go to this one.

This burger was delicious! I got the double cheese smash burger with fries. I ordered this off of GrubHub from this location. Place is a little less than 4 miles away. The food arrived in a bag that was secured closed, which I immediately appreciate when it comes to delivery. The food was also not cold. It wasn't steaming hot, but it was a good temperature for it being delivered. I received more fries than the Container it's held in, which is always a bonus. The burger was delicious from first bite to last bite. I added lettuce and tomato and it was a great addition. Make sure your last bite is a crisp piece of the meat! The fries were nice and crispy and cook to perfection. Just needed a little less salt. I'm looking forward to my next burger craving. Imma hit this spot up again!

For the Win is my favorite smashburger right now. There are a lot of contenders in LA but For the Win's smashburger is the crispiest (the most important aspect of a smashburger imho.) Not great as takeout so I suggest dragging yourself there and enjoying in person.

The burger was OK. It's the same as it was from the beginning. It was not a bad burger. Smash burgers are not as popular as they were a year ago. The fries were average. Wth happened to the milkshakes? Maybe other branches have different milkshakes. The milkshake at this location was smaller, same price, and tasted disgusting. It was not the same. It was thin, chemical tasting, soupy milkshake mix. It did not taste like an ice cream milkshake at all. It was gross. Overall, the meal was a disappointment. Not worth the price.

WHOA. This was a great burger. Juicy. Cheesy. Flavorful. Saucy. Everything a burger should be.

Delicious smash burgers! We all had them with the broiled Brussels sprouts. We enjoyed the sprouts all brown and charred. I also enjoyed the music! Fun place.

For The Win is another smash burger place that is great tasting. Service is fantastic and truly helpful. Ambiance is casual dining.

I don't know what it is about this location, but the burger was subpar. This was mainly because they smashed the burger til they couldn't smash it anymore. The meat had several holes in it from being tissue paper thin. This made it taste like you were eating flattened charcoal. Burgers look NOTHING like the pictures. Three 3 stars because the sweet potato fries were fire! The young European lady in the front was somewhat pleasant until I had a question and she was trying to speak to me from the back, where she was with the cook. She needed to walk back to the register so we weren't yelling. Please up your game in Koreatown :(

Best burgers, hands-down Best Customer Service , hands-down really friendly girl at the front and very fast manager. It was a really good experience. Parking can be a hassle at 5 PM on a weekday so meter parking was pretty easy delicious seed oil, free restaurant.

Have heard about this place for quite some time and stumbled upon it. There is a self service station so order was quick and easy. There were a couple orders before us but our food came out pretty quickly. Cheeseburger with single patty is quite good but I think next time I will order a double cheeseburger! The french fries are light and crispy, kind of like Mc Donald's fries. All in all very clean place and would comeback to try again!

It's really 3.5 stars, not 3. Today was my first FTW experience. I was in the neighborhood and wanted to see what all the rave was about. I will say it's a decent burger. Better than the disappointment that was Shake Shack last week. Service today was impeccable. The cute young lady at the counter gets an A+ for customer service. However, my only complaint is the same that I have for many of the other burger establishments in town: it's too salty. I would've taken off a star if it weren't for the sauce that helped cover how salty the burger was. I enjoyed the loaded sweet potato fries, and the chocolate shake is on point. Honestly, the price is a couple dollars more than what it's worth, but I do see myself coming back in the future.

RACIST AF I WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DIME IN THIS RAGGEDY PLACE ! I placed an order on there website had the pick up code and text and payment from Apple Cash on my screen but of course because I'm black they decided I was lyin and swore up and down that they didn't have a order for me than it switched to someone already picked it up than they tried to give me someone else's order ! I showed them all the proof they STILLLLLLL ACCUSED ME OF LYING ! Than after standing there for 20 mins come out and say oh I do see it here for Danielle right ? As if I didn't say that a million times already ! Had a horrible attitude as if I was in the wrong ! I will also be disputing my charge they are complete racist POS ! Tried to embarrass me because I am black smfh!

Strange restaurant with weak burgers. I do not like smashburgers. I wonder what the appeal is? I'm insanely curious. The restaurant is understaffed. Service is weird because of it. The burger was as you can guess smashed. It was ok. It wasn't a big burger. The fries were just ok. I ordered the burger to go and ate the burger in my apartment. Parking is an utter hell around here. Most of the time the lot in front of this burger place is valet. Meter parking is available nearby but it's usually all taken.

Please tell me why do you even have food delivery service. Walk in and waiting waiting for over 10 minutes, 3 people working in the back and no acknowledgement of any kind. We had to finally go behind the counter and grab our own orders because no customer service at all!

I never usually write reviews but I LOVE FTW in Glendale-- but this Koreatown location is definitely not it! The burger was sloppy, soggy, poorly made, and just did not taste right. Came for pick up during lunch. The older blonde lady working there was arguing with someone on the phone and just looked at me from across the kitchen, she seemed bothered that she had to come out and give me my food. Forgot my soda. Didn't really say anything to me. No one else was in the shop. Would not recommend, 2/10. Definitely try out the Glendale shop instead.

Greasy patties , salty. Lazy smash burger the lettuce was drenched in grease because the meat was soaked in grease. Special sauce is tangy but not flavorful. Fries were super duper salty. I'm sure there are people who like this type of greasy smash but not for me. Too salty.

5 stars on the burger alone. The fries could be better but the burger by itself easier makes this a 5/5 eating establishment. I'm glad that they're re seeing success and opening new locations. The original location in Hollywood isn't the most convenient. Definitely get the double cheese burger and you will leave with one of the best burgers you'll ever have.

I'm happy that this place opened up near Ktown! It's great that the place isn't as packed yet and it's clean and simple. It's a solid smash burger but I wouldn't say it's the best I've had

The worst service. No one says hello. They are all behind the far counter. I've waited for a ready takeout order for 10 minutes and had to flag down multiple people. Things are on the menu that you can't order online so if you try to order in person it's a 20 min prep difference.

Had a really dope experience at the FTW Grand Opening! Andrew was dope as f and made ordering fun! He hooked it up for me, my husband, and our little one! Definitely will be back, not only because of the food but the cool people chill vibes super casual and the food is 10/10 + 10

The burger was overall great. Patties were very well seasoned ,the buns were very soft, and the sauce was ok. The fries were very good and had a perfect crisp. Staff was super friendly and the restaurant is very clean and well kept.

The smash burgers were good, but I wouldn't say they were the best. I wouldn't feel the need to come back immediately. The jalapeños were pickled, not fresh, and the fries didn't taste fresh either; we could see them just sitting under a heat lamp. The service was good, and the ambiance was average. I'm not sure if the $50 we spent was worth it.

I'm a big fan of smash burgers, and For the Win is one of the few places I keep returning to. Their burgers nail the perfect balance of crispy edges and bold flavor. I'm thrilled they've opened a location nearby, though having them so close might be a bit too tempting!
