Ford’s Garage, Cane Rosso and More Open In Dallas - Eater Dallas

"Ford’s Garage has opened its first Texas outpost in Plano. The chain has an agreement with Ford Motors that lets them use the blue oval logo. The exterior and interior are designed to mimic a 1920’s service station, with loads of memorabilia. Co-owner Brian Judd describes it as 'not pretentious' and 'come-as-you-are.'" - Courtney E. Smith

As you can see we order almost all the appetizers and every thing was delicious . The onion rings, cheese curds and pretzels were out of this world. Our entree’s were the star of the show 10/10. Service was on point we felt right at home . The inside of the restaurant was so creative and a fun atmosphere.

Google
Ford’s Garage A great themed restaurant centered around Ford automotive history. The menu has something for everyone. Hamburgers, pulled pork, chicken and tasty sides. Bar is horseshoe shaped and fully stocked. The atmosphere is interactive with Ford automobiles from the past . The staff is very knowledgeable and attentive to your dining experience. Look for the Ford brand on your hamburger buns! I highly recommend this restaurant and encourage a visit soon .

We had lunch at this restaurant. We loved the decor, the heritage, and the attention to detail. The food was great. The burger selection was great. A unique burger house that makes you feel welcomed. The place was clean. The restroom was tidy and clean. Parking was plentiful and easy to find. The location and the cars outside let you know where you are. Our server was punctual and very friendly. The price for the food was very comparable to other burger houses. We will be back soon.

If you're a car enthusiast, this Ford-inspired restaurant is an absolute gem! The attention to detail is incredible—there are a couple of vintage cars parked outside and even a few inside the restaurant, setting the tone before you even sit down. The door handles are made from old fuel pump nozzles, and there are classic engines on display throughout the space. It’s like stepping into a retro auto museum with a dining twist! The ambiance is perfect for anyone who loves cars—or just appreciates a unique dining experience. We ordered the High-Octane chicken burger and the Chipotle chicken sandwich, and both were delicious, packed with flavor and cooked just right. We also tried their signature drink, the Blue Oval Frozen Margarita, and it definitely lived up to the hype—refreshing, well-balanced, and a great complement to the meal. Highly recommend this place for a fun, themed outing with great food and standout vibes.

Google
This place has great food! My burger was super flavorful. They serve classic American fare. The service was okay but it’s not the waitresses fault, it was super busy. It seems like they need more staff. Otherwise I enjoyed it and I will come back.

Google
Burgers were pretty salty/seasoned too much. But still hit fresh and pretty good. We just drank a little more water than normal 😜. Swapped out my fries for green bean which were done perfectly.

Google
So this isn't our first time here but I forgot to put a review last time. We decided to come back because the food and experience were very good. If your looking for a great place to eat with good food and a great environment then we definitely recommend here. The onion rings and pretzels are awesome and a go to for us. Pretty much everything and gotten has tasted and looked awesome.

Google
What a treat! This was a fantastic find. Ford's Garage makes great food, has top-notch service, and is such a cool place! Discovering such a wonderful place is always a joy. The food is absolutely delicious, and it's even better when paired with excellent service. A cool atmosphere adds another layer of enjoyment to the whole experience. It sounds like a memorable time was had, and hopefully, there will be many more visits to come. Sharing positive experiences like this can brighten anyone's day.

Yelp
Wanted to revisit Ford's Garage and use my $10 card that I'd received from our Awesome Elite Event a month or so ago. Leo didn't recognize me but I knew who he was and that's really all that mattered to me. I tried the (10) count wings should've requested ALL FLATS next time I will. My first batch of wings weren't throughly cooked (pinker than I'd expected). I expressed this to Leo and immediately no questions asked he put in another batch for me. I asked that they be EXTRA CRISPY this time, and they were. 10/10 my drink that Leo suggested an Old Fashion was so darn good I had to order a second. I'll definitely return again.

Yelp
Awful service and had to leave. My husband had a few friends coming in from out of town, it was his friends birthday and wanted to take them to Fords for a great experience and food, but it was anything but that. I called around noon to set a reservation for a large group. I specifically had asked if they would be playing the UFC fight (it was not pay per view) and the gentleman that answered the phone put me on hold to ask his manager if it would be on as he was unsure. He reassured me that they would have it on and even stated that if it wasn't on they could put it on if requested where they would be seated. I asked and reiterated multiple times to make sure as his friends specifically wanted to watch the fights that night and we decided to go to Fords based on the assumption that it would be on. My husband and his friends showed up to their reservation where they were greeted and seated by the hostess. They asked her if the fights were on as they didn't see it was playing. She said "No we typically don't play those on the TVs". So my husband asked for the manager whom came out and was extremely rude. She said we must have called the wrong place and said "Yeah. We're not going to do to that for you." then questioned who we had talked to. They ended up leaving and finding somewhere else to dine and watch the fights. Super disappointed when promised something and not only does it not follow through but is also followed by rude and unprofessional behavior.

Yelp
The overall experience was great! The service was fast, efficient and accurate. Let get into the food review Wings- the wing are more tangy than spicy, as someone who hates spicy- I enjoyed the wings. I paired my wings with blue cheese. Burger- I ordered the bison burger medium- which is the recommended temperature for bison- tender yet retains a satisfying bite, showcasing the quality of the meat. The patty itself is a succulent blend of lean bison meat, seasoned to perfection. Its juiciness is unparalleled, with each bite bursting with flavor. Oh I recommend substitute the sauce for the onion marmalade- thank me later The ambience is casual with all sorts of Ford themed decorations and car parts- definitely a man's haven, but not too shabby for women's enjoyment.

Yelp
It is such a fun atmosphere! I love the Ford theme everywhere. Our server was very attentive and was great with her recommendations. I would love to see Sayer again! She was great. The food itself was fabulous. We started off with an appetizer and went with her recommendations on our meals as well.

Yelp
I've visited several times since their opening and my review. I am happy to report that they've ironed out the kinks. The food is awesome, and the service is great.

Yelp
My family and I have been here several times and have never disappointed in the food, atmosphere or service. This is a great place for kids and big kids alike and there is a lot of historical things as well.

Yelp
We lived in Michigan hubby's home town not far from Detroit so we were thrilled to find this place in MY hometown!! Great food fun atmosphere and friendly people!

Yelp
Interesting concept for a restaurant. Stopped here after a Dallas FC game. Eye opening experience with all of the vintage car vibes. Service was great and the food was greater! Very reasonably priced and great for photo ops with the family.
google avatar

Yelp
We went here honestly, not expecting it to be the best, but we're hoping it would taste better than it did. It is a cute little place and definitely worth going to as a Ford fan for pictures and decor, but don't expect the food to be worth the price. It is just Meh! The service was ok.

Yelp
Being from up north we had never heard of this, but know Ford, the restaurant looked great with the old Ford cars, and there was a Ford Mustang car show this day. We had to stop. We loved this restaurant...a large better sports bar with the bar in the middle and dining areas around it with lots of windows. The decor is Ford and garage awesome. We loved the atmosphere, service and food. The beer selection is the best. Belgium's Hoegaarden and U.K.'s Samuel Smith's stout are super craft beers. Restaurants are located in Dallas, Dearborn (Detroit), home of Henry Ford, and all over Florida. Check these out.

Yelp
Made a return visit to Ford's Garage in Plano and had an outstanding visit. Sayer waited on us and was fantastic. The pork ribs were awesome and the green beans were tender and not stringy!
google avatar

Yelp
Reservations and walk ups treated exactly the same. Why bother? Why even take reservations? Made two weeks ago. Just told we fall into the same line as the walk ups.

Yelp
Great Yelp event at a great restaurant. The food, the history, and local Yelpers. The burgers were super juicy and flavorful the Yuengling was frosty cold. The staff was fantastic and attentive and very much in action. Can't wait for the next event! Thanks and keep up the good work.

Yelp
Food: It was cooked well, deliciously seasoned and yummy. It came out hot and presentation was good. Ambiance: It's a fun place with cool decor! Service: Waitress was nice and pleasant. I had a great time. I don't have to write a long review. The overall experience was AWESOME! I can't wait to go back. I need to try a cocktail. My food was fresh and I left happy and full. I didn't have high expectations, but they proved me wrong. Ford Garage does a body good! Nisha approved!

Yelp
We made our way to Ford's Garage tonight and let me tell you, my wife and I both got One of their specialty burgers on their menu. I got the Estate Burger and she got the American Standard. The food was delicious. The server was actually pretty cool and recommended us some other great options next time we come. The places its self has a garage atmosphere to it. Great. Music playing. We will definitely be coming back. Food was delicious and service was awesome!! Ohh to top it off for dessert we got the Molten Lava with ice cream.

Yelp
I got together with several friends on the evening of 5/21/2024. I ordered the fish and chips, friends ordered different burgers and a salad. We all LOVED our food. The proportions are very generous, especially the cod. It's a HUGE piece of fish, and delicious. Our server was Cassandra and she was amazing. The restaurant was extremely busy and she handed it like a champ. She was very attentive and did such a wonderful job. The only negative thing to say about Ford's Garage is that it was very loud in there. We were sitting in a large round booth, and unfortunately I couldn't hear my friends who were sitting across from me. I have great hearing, but between the music and crowded restaurant (even on a Tuesday night) the noise level was really high. Overall, a great restaurant, great service, and delicious food. But, not a place to go for good conversation.
google avatar

Yelp
They know how to properly cook a burger! So many different flavor combinations, great variety. The decor is really nice, even the napkins fit into the theme. Great food.
google avatar

Yelp
I thought the place would be microwaved food, but it was actually good. I got the Monte Cristo and it was delicious. I could a Pina Colinas that had a strange taste, won't order that again. Service was great.
google avatar

Yelp
Great atmosphere, excellent service, fantastic food!! Highly recommend Ford's Garage!

Yelp
10:10 for food and service! Thanks Emma!! Buffalo Chicken Sammie with Ford fries Meatloaf- moist and good. with sweet potato tots (extra yummy) The Ford burger bacon bbq and cheeseburger. Pit of Boston beans had just the right flavor.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to head to after watching the kids play ball. There's a dull roar that adds to the great environment. The menu is chock full of goodies that make you think that I will try that when I come back. The vintage cars theme here hits nicely. The mechanics here know how to fix it! Make a pit stop here every time pit row is open.

Yelp
Ok, we've been back to Ford's Garage a couple more times and everything we've tried has been amazing. The ribs are great, the shrimp Mac & Cheese is to die for, and the burgers are big and flavorful. The decor of the place is really fun, we've always managed to find times to get in without a wait, and our server (Amber...all three times somehow) has been wonderful.... Helpful, attentive and very friendly.

Yelp
A friend told us about Ford's Garage and the great burgers, so we decided to try it out. We've officially become "regulars!" The atmosphere is so much fun, but I'll get to that below. Of course the food is what keeps us coming back. Sometimes ya just need a great burger, and for us, Ford's Garage never disappoints. Each burger is "endorsed" by a local VIP (think the major, community leaders, fire chief, etc.) which is really fun. Your burger will be cooked to your specification every time, and these folks are happy to make substitutions as you wish. My favorite is the BBQ Brisket burger which has cheddar cheese, bourbon BBQ Sauce, delicious smoked brisket, bacon, and yummy crispy onion straws on a fresh brioche bun. I leave off the red onions since it has onion straws. All that is piled on top of the hamburger patty... yes brisket ON a burger! Two of this carnivore's favorites in one meal. My second favorite is the patty melt. It has Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, and Thousand Island dressing on rye bread. One of the best patty melts I've had. Of course burgers come with sides. My go-to is sweet potato tots with caramel dipping sauce. It's like dessert! I dream about those tots. SOOooo good. My husband hasn't landed on a favorite yet as he's still trying their many offerings. He said it will be hard to choose a favorite because everything he has tried has been great. Now the atmosphere... so fun! The original Ford's Garage restaurant is in Florida near the winter home of Henry Ford. The Plano location is the only store in Texas at this time. You'll be be greeted outside by two huge bubbling "gas pumps" situated between a couple of replica Model Ts, which make for a fun photo op. The lobby/waiting areas have bench seating made from Ford pickup tailgates. The walls are adorned with all kinds of Ford memorabilia. The waitstaff wear "garage mechanic" shirts, and there is a car mounted above the bar with turning wheels, "exhaust", and the occasional old-timey horn. The napkins are "shop towels" with clamps as napkin rings. Don't forget to visit the restrooms where you'll find big tires as sinks and gas pump nozzles as faucets. Every detail in the restaurant has been addressed cleverly, and it is a great family spot for photos and great meals. There are multiple TVs throughout the bar and dining areas to catch some of the big game while you enjoy your meal. We have taken friends from other states to Ford's Garage, and everyone enjoys the food and atmosphere. Check it out the next time you're craving a great burger!

Yelp
If you want a burger this is the place. I had the modest Roadster - Brisket Ranchero. It is a 1/3 patty with burnt ends. It was plenty and satisfying. This roadster does not come with lettuce and tomato. I asked for some of the side but I didn't need it because the burger was juicy enough. I opted for sweet potato tater tots upgraded side. The sweet potato tots come with a side of caramel sauce.
google avatar

Yelp
If you had your tail gate stollen from your 70's model Ford pickup, it very likely that it was sold to the Ford's Garage restaurant for their interior décor. You may be entitled to compensation. The auto repair garage theme is present from the gas pump nozzles used as door handles on the front door, to the radiator hose clamps used as napkin rings. Authentic and reproductions of gas station and auto parts signs, equipment, engines and cars fill the restaurant. The attention to detail is obvious. Very nicely done. The decor is entertaining. The food served here, displays that same effort and attention to detail. I had the Chicken Henry: Grilled Chicken Breast, Topped with Chardonnay Lemon Butter Sauce, Goat Cheese, Basil, and Sun-Dried Tomatoes. This meal comes with the choice of two sides. This is my favorite "Italian" dish. Ford's Garage made it right! My wife went with an excellent Blackened Salmon Salad: 8oz Blackened Norwegian Atlantic Salmon, Mixed Greens, Cherry Tomatoes, Red Onions, Cucumbers, and Avocado. Excellent service. A wonderful, enjoyable lunch.

Yelp
Really cool environment. Ford parts and signs everywhere. (If you've ever been to Boomerjacks.. it's very similar environment). The food itself was really good- we got the onion ring tower and burndt ends brisket grilled cheese (I would like to note that the brisket pieces were very fatty and chewy- so if you're a texture person- you will not enjoy). The staff were all very friendly and the service was really quick. I think we were in and out within 20 mins! Overall it was good!

Suzanne S.

Yelp
I normally enjoy your restaurant and frequent it about 1-2 times a month. This past weekend I had a terrible experience with my entree and the first drink I ordered. I asked what type of martini's you had and my server, Brianna suggested I try the Lemon Drop. I tried it and it was awful! All I could taste was a vodka and it did not have lemon or lemon liqueur and it tasted very watered down. I asked her to bring me a regular Grey Goose martini which she did, but the glass was half full. Just wondering about your bartender - more training? I ordered the cedar plank salmon salad and when it was delivered to my table it was missing the salmon!! All it had was lettuce greens and avocado. They quickly brought out a piece of salmon and placed it on my plate. Needless to say, I was not happy and I realize it's not the server's fault but you should have better quality control.

Yelp
From the moment you pull up and see two antique Ford's outside by an old time gas pump, you knew you were in for something special. Then you come inside and are greeted by the hostess, you feel at home. Then we met Megan, our server. Polite, friendly with excellent follow up skills. She took out drink orders and refilled three over areas simultaneously. We gave her a challenge with our food orders, switching out buns and me ordering Onion Rings instead of fries. But both orders showed up moments later, perfect as ordered. The place is nicely decorated with tons of flat screens showing games and Models of antique Ford's everywhere. The manager stopped by for a moment checking on our experience. That means a lot to me. The food was tasty, prepared as ordered and based on all that, we will be back again, maybe before or after a movie.

Yelp
*Burger Lovers* Brace yourself! This place ROCKIN *\-/* Not only is the décor amazing, every detail is in check, like a real o authentic garage! Even the napkin is a terry cloth and it's rolled up by a metal clip!!! And the food... ohhh the burger was mouthwatering, thick, juicy, and deeeeliciously filling!!!! Can't go wrong here, I had the standard and it was cooked to perfection, not to thin not to fat, meat to bun was great proportionally and condiments stayed put! The BBQ brisket melt, was surprisingly good. I didn't know what to expect but they went out of their way to make sure it was perfect!! The service was on point, my coke didn't dip below half, and the server even told me about the rewards program they have; which I was able to get credit for my meal that same day! Overall price was reasonable- I wouldn't change a thing! Ambiance Food Service Price I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Good food, good service, cool atmosphere. Deducted one star because the sweet tea was not sweet and that is a staple for me.

Yelp
Wanting a yummy burger stop here! The ambience is super cute and even has moving parts. Our server was awesome and the burgers and rings were top notch.

Yelp
Adrianna (I think was her name) assisted us all night and she was lovely. She was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. This was our first go and he had the pulled pork nachos as an appetizer. We'll probs give that a 7/10ish. All of the goodness was all on the top, which was great, but then the middle and bottom parts were dry. We tried the High Octane Burger (10/10!!) and the Burnt Ends Sandwich (my hubby rates that an 8.5/10). The theme of the restaurant was intriguing and we loved looking at all the convo pieces. We went on a Monday night so it was fairly slow and calm. We'll be back for sure!
google avatar

Tanya M.

Yelp
Place was cute, food was overpriced for what it was. Wings were very good but the price was outrageous. My friend had a burger and he said it was good but not great. 25$ for 8 wings and a tea is crazy.
google avatar

John J.

Yelp
The Ambiance definitely fits the name. Ford memorabilia is everywhere. Very creative touch. Even the restrooms go all out with the theme. Five of us for lunch and service was excellent. I'd say the food was good, but definitely not great. The menu for lunch at least is overwhelming with how many choices of burger, sandwich, and salad variations. We sampled burgers and salads for the most part. The standard or basic burger was good and cooked to order, but nothing to write home about on the meat flavor. I was a little disappointed in the onion ring upgrade. I probably would just do fries next time.
google avatar

Chrissy S.

Yelp
Friendly wait staff, good prices for quality food, and a great "classic car" vibe / ambience. They've been open just a few years , and this might be the only location in TX. Give it a try if the classic car and burger pairing is up your alley !

Yelp
Excellent burgers and food. Fun atmosphere with really cool memorabilia and Ford thing to look at. Great service and friendly employees. Open one in Arlington

Yelp
Service is excellent. Drink refills were super fast. Food is average but atmosphere is nice. I had the fried pickles, dynamite shrimp and Monte Cristo.

Yelp
What a fun place. The menu includes gluten free options!!! Great burgers and atmosphere!

Yelp
We decided on Ford's Garage for the Cowboys vs 49ERS match off game. Rooting for the Cowboy's of course .. and they fought a great fight lol. Ford's has a huge bar area that includes booths, pub tables, and seats at the bar itself. TIP: If you sit at the bar, you can rest your drink on an ice strip that keeps your drinks cold -- absolutely genius if you're hanging out for a few hours during a sports game. Know before you go that you will be watching a game with no sound. Ford's offers an awesome environment for sports but they are not considered a "sports bar." We sat at the bar and enjoyed a delicious but unusual Sangria (ingredients were El Jimador Tequila, Ford's Homemade Sangria, and topped with Grand Marnier). The bartender said it was one of the strongest drinks you can order. It was perfect, especially since we could put it on the ice strip and enjoy ourselves leisurely as we watched the football game. Note: HAPPY HOUR is Mon - Friday, 2-6pm, $4.00 premium well, $2.00 off drinks and drafts. They have a nice selection of mules, drink fusions, margaritas, and over a dozen beers on tap. We tried the American Standard burger (cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickles on a brioche bun) with the traditional Ford's brand. We substituted the french fries for onion rings for an upcharge. Next time, I'll pass on the onion rings, they were tiny, chewy, and very oily. The burger, however, was thick, made to order, had fresh ingredients, and was delicious. We hesitated but decided to try the Blackened Salmon: 8oz Norwegian Atlantic salmon served with a chardonnay lemon butter sauce and a choice of two sides -- we selected the green beans and jalapeno creamed corn. Wow! We might go back just for the salmon dinner. The salmon was blackened delicately, cooked perfectly, a thick cut, and was very impressive. The green beans were blanched, seasoned, and delicious. The jalapeno creamed corn had a nice little tastey kick, absolutely a must-try item if you have the chance. It was our daughter's #22 birthday. We included this in our notes when we made the reservations. Without delay, at the end of your dinner, a bunch of happy faces arrived clapping, singing a special happy birthday song, and gave her cute sundae with a cherry on top (all complimentary) Everything about our experience was wonderful, and for that reason, we will certainly go back.

Yelp
Came here for lunch after watching a movie. It's decorated so cute with the cars and gear and Ford memorabilia. We weren't too hungry because we munched at the movies so my friend and I shared the buffalo chicken dip and pretzels. The food was tasty and good. It came out pretty fast. No complaints. There is a bar and the space is huge. I didn't try a drink but they have a good bar menu. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
We love this place. Cool ambiance and great food. At most places medium burgers are normally over cooked for my liking, but not here!!
google avatar

Adam M.

Yelp
Mediocre food, very generic. Reminded me of 54th Street or Boomerjacks...nothing special. Best part of this place was the decor. Messed up the drink order but they gave us both, very much appreciated.

Yelp
I was here with my family for weekend dinner. There was a wait but we were seating before the suggested wait. We ordered beer (hefe), Pretzel for appetizer. Bread was fresh and tasted good. Ordered the high octane burger, green and clean veggie burger and chicken tenders for kids. All the entrees come with fries. High octane burger was good, my wife did not like the veggie burger as it was falling apart easily and was difficult to eat. Kids did not enjoy the strips either. Fries were seasoned with black pepper and tasted good We informed the waitress that the veg burger was not good and they removed it from our check
google avatar

Yelp
My wife and I and family friends came here for the first time. We enjoyed the atmosphere of all the old cars. Meadow are server was good, but I think she had too many tables on a such busy day. The food tasted pretty good. We all said we would come back again!

Yelp
WOW!!! Awesome! READ THIS REVIEW... I'm from Texas and we know our burgers and BBQ. Great quality angus beef 1/2 inch patties. I built one 'off the menu' and it sounded so good my 2 friends ordered the same thing. LOL. (Cheddar cheese, bacon, 2x shoestring onion rings, BBQ sauce.) Sorry but I forgot to take a photo of my burger until I was at the last bite. Now the regular onion rings are the best in town. Medium sized and super crunchy and great flavor. BBQ wet ribs are fabulous! Fall off the bone moist and they make their own BBQ sauce - a perfect Texas style! Go! You will not be disappointed!!! See my Yelp profile page for a BEST IN DALLAS list: https://www.yelp.com/user_details?userid=KbFb7BxxJfHmHG3P-jY1CQ&utm_source=ishare

Yelp
What a difference one visit makes. All burgers cooked as ordered. No sweet potatoes fries but sweet potato tots which were great. I ordered the bison burger with no bun. Suggest you include mushrooms with it. They also soaked the sauce. Very tasty. Solid place and we look forward to visiting the next time we visit Dallas. Prompt service and attentive staff. Plenty of parking. Seldom do I dish out 5 stars. These guys know their burgers. Now the price. 3 burgers and one alcohol beverage $78? Sign of the times but that brings it down notch.
google avatar

Angie H.

Yelp
We will definitely be back!!! First off, I love that you can make a reservation! The decor is very unique. Our server Sal was friendly and attentive. The food came out very quickly. The side salad was fresh but nothing special. I had the chicken Henry. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. Goat cheese on grilled chicken is a must for me now! Everyone enjoyed all of the food...bourbon burger, bison burger and the chipotle grilled chicken sandwich. It is a must try!

Yelp
I sat at the bar, which has an old-time Ford Model A on display and provides a band of frost all the way around on which to set your drink to keep it cold. I ordered the Sweet Heat Burger. Apparently it's a special burger that's a limited time menu item. I appreciated that the bartender asked how I wanted my burger cooked and if everything on it was ok with me. The burger came out pretty quick and was a brilliant combination of flavors. It was big but held together nicely and didn't become a mess, which is not always the case in my experience. The fries were hot & fresh with a tasty seasoning. The ambience is really unique & fun. All kinds of Ford memorabila on display and the napkins are literallly shop rags. All in all, an awesome burger joint. I'll be back because several other burgers on their menu look compelling. [Stop #88 on The Great DFW Burger Quest]
