I absolutely love Forest Room 5! Super unique spot right in Denver. Love the outdoor seating area but the indoor area is nice too. Pictures here are of the chicken sandwich, but my favorite thing on the menu might actually be the quinoa salad - so fresh and good! They also have some of the best cocktails in the area, highly recommend all of them!

Google
Such a unique and awesome place, literally where else can you have these views? Have you seen the bear room? Also may be pricey, but they have a rotating beer option that's pretty great if you don't wanna break the bank and just enjoy the scenery. Literally our new fave midweek beer place.

It’s a great little spot for a late night drink after a good dinner. The atmosphere gets it it’s 4 stars. The waitress kept forgetting us….

Google
What a cool vibe! Loved all the knick knacks and toys you can find here. Would totally go back with cash for the vending machine. Even the bathrooms were cool as heck.

Google
Cozy, intimate and bringing an outdoor feel to the city; this is an excellent spot to grab a drink. The elderberry lynx is delicious and available on happy hour. The outdoor seating feels like you’re in the woods, grab a seat by the fire and enjoy.

If you’re looking for a cozy and forest themed place for some drinks/food/good vibes with indoor and outdoor seating then come to Forest Room 5! Food/drinks: The Huckleberry cocktail I drank was up to par. It wasn’t too sweet and had just the right amount of flavor in it. It’s a refreshing choice if you want something light. I also enjoyed the salmon tacos, they were delicious! Atmosphere: This place has a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating with QR codes where you can look at the menu. The outside area is very unique with lots of plants/trees giving it an earthy vibe. Price: The prices here are fairly normal and they do have happy hour deals as well. The cocktail prices were better than what I’m normally used to in other states. Parking: There is street parking available in the area or if you’re close enough, ride a scooter there.

Great little spot with great food. Ate outside. Had to wait awhile for a QR code menu. Drinks were good. Bison burgers and fries were great. Awesome atmosphere. Recommend exploring under the stairs and picking up a book from their vending machine. Will be back.

Google
Amazing drinks and vibe. It’s a mix of the twilight zone and camping. The patio has the best fire pits and seating areas. I have waited over 20 minutes for a server before so it’s best to order directly from the bar I’ve learned. It’s never been overly crowded - a true hidden gem.

Yelp
I was in last week and was having a rough night, and the bar was busy. Even though, I was just trying to relax a little bit, it didn't seem like the bar was gonna allow me to do that, the bartender Mariam saved my whole night. She asked people around me to wait a minute so she could get my order. She then asked about my night and made me feel beyond welcome! I will definitely be coming back especially if Mariam is working, because of how attentive she was even while seeming slammed

Yelp
Although I haven't had the chance to try the food here, the atmosphere and drinks are absolutely fantastic! This place offers an incredible outdoor experience with a camping vibe that's truly unique and perfect for Denver. The setting includes teepees, fires, tree houses, and lush foliage, creating an ambiance that's both cozy and adventurous. I live in Seattle, but I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Denver. There are so many delightful touches, such as an oddities vending machine and classic scary/horror films projected onto a screen. The attention to detail is impressive and adds to the overall charm. The staff here are consistently great. They can craft delicious drinks based on minimal information about your preferences, always hitting the mark. I very much recommend this place for its unique atmosphere, exceptional service, and fantastic drinks.

Yelp
Stopped by just in time for happy hour and really enjoyed our experience. The drinks were tasty, including the mocktail, and the ambiance is cozy and certainly unique. Our waiter was also very accommodating and understanding of us showing up towards the end of happy hour. Will be back to get a later night experience!

Yelp
Trust the reviews--the ambiance in this place is fantastic, and it's really fun to walk through the space. I mean--what's more Denver than a camping-themed bar? But unless you're set on sticking around, I would recommend grabbing a few waters, walking through, maybe sitting in the outside area for a bit, and heading somewhere else for food and drinks. My friend and I stopped by here for a few drinks and loved the scenery, but the drinks weren't well-balanced (the Mock Mule tasted like sour, watery blueberries and the Watermelon Fizz was a bit better but still bland) and the service quality just wasn't there. As several other reviews have mentioned, we had to chase down the bar staff, who didn't seem very happy to take our orders. Then they overcharged me and spent a long time looking at the drink and the receipt even though I literally had my drink in one hand and a picture of the menu with the prices in the other. Bit of a damper on the experience. Still enjoyed the time, but I'd do things differently next time.

Yelp
It's been a minute since this place was the hot spot to be, but I do love a good themed space. I also really appreciated the whole menu. Mocktails and food are all available. Plus, being able to bring the dog along? Just all sorts of excellent.

Yelp
This bar is at the top of my list for recommendations. On top of an excellently craft cocktail menu, they have a great selection of food and the service is phenomenal. This bar screams Denver, the ambiance is reminiscent of a camping trip mixed with a museum to relics from the past, this lending itself to the tourist looking for the "denver" experience and the outdoorsy local alike. Love this spot so much.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Wednesday for a little post work dinner and drinks. There was some great bike parking in front so we could lock up the bicycles. The inside is very camped themed and cute but the courtyard is the best spot. There is lots of tables and benches and even a teepee. Lots of trees and a little creek running through it. There was one girl waiting all the tables outside and she was great. I got the shrimps tacos, which were huge. Lots of good non-alcoholic drink options. We split the s'more dessert with was a large cast iron filled with chocolate and marshmallows and graham crackers.
google avatar

Jay B.

Yelp
Such a great place to hangout. We enjoyed a couple mixed drinks (one non-alcohol). The bartender was really friendly. The bar dog hung out with us a little bit. We enjoyed checking out the many fun seating areas in the outside "forest" area. Really glad our friend recommended that we stop in.

Kira V.

Yelp
Such a cool place. I feel like it's a fun place to bring an out of town guest. Feels very Colorado in the middle of the highlands. There's tons to find everywhere you look.
google avatar

Amy B.

Yelp
Cute and unique bar, especially if you're willing to sit outside and roast s'mores by a campfire! Good veggie burgers.
google avatar

Frances E.

Yelp
Service wasn't the greatest, but the ambiance was pretty cool. The food was nothing to write home about, but I enjoyed my meal. I ordered a bison burger with fries and got the s'mores dip for dessert. Fries were excellent! We were sat outside for a 7 pm reservation in the back side. There was very little light, we ended up eating in the dark.

Yelp
I went to this place for the first time with my family the other night and was really impressed by the whole set up- it was so cool! I found this place by searching "unique dinner spots in Denver," and this place certainly was unique! The drinks were great, though unfortunately the selection of food was lacking, so we ended up going to a different place for dinner. Also I'm pretty sure our server was drunk, but he was still very polite so I didn't mind haha.

Yelp
I mean the vibe here is amazing! The whole forest concept and their outdoor patio was fantastic! The service was good too and the bartender was very friendly! The old fashioned was alright, but I think this would be an excellent place to grab a beer and sit outside on a nice day. I would definitely go again!
google avatar

Yelp
Very unique spot, great for taking friend there. They have huge outdoor area for whens its nice out and i think one or two fire-pits for when its chilly. The inside is cute, forest themed with bears and lots of wood etc. They have pretty good cocktails and food to nosh on like hummus and corn. Staff is nice, never takes too long to get a drink. If you're looking for something unique and chill, or one-of-a-kind this is the spot for you.
google avatar

Gina K.

Yelp
What a fun concept! It was too cold outside so we sat inside and grab one drink before heading to our dinner reservation. The waitress was running around trying to handle every table. Despite her having to manage the inside tables she did a great job. They really should have had another waiter. It was seat your self so we opted for a table near the window. The forest on the patio is a cool concepts and somewhat reflected inside but there is a mashup of items in the interior that doesn't really make sense. The beverage was good, wish we would have stayed for another but we decided to keep our dinner resy and that we would come back another time. Highly recommend checking it out. I really wasn't to experience the patio when it's warm outside.

Yelp
Updating my previous review to note that this place charged my card twice, so I now have to dispute it with my bank. Also, I left it out of my previous review to try and give them the benefit of the doubt, but I feel compelled to mention now that there were large, jagged broken pieces of hard plastic in the cheese from the fondue plate. The fondue plate was also not good aside from that. They offered to comp the fondue, but I stead charged my card a random additional amount. A cute patio is truly all they have to offer, the service, food, and mixed drinks are all laughably bad.

Yelp
What a cool space! Rolling up to the Forest Room was a treat. You can't miss the allure of the outdoor area, though I didn't check it out because the weather was so cold. I'll have to walk by during the day to take a look in the future. My date and I sat inside at the bar (still camping themed) where the neon lighting made the place feel more dive-y than it really was. I got a cocktail with a gummy bear floating on a lemon slice. So weird I can't look up the drink because Forest Room doesn't have a website or online menu like most bars in Denver. Kinda goes along with the "offline" vibe. All the furniture DOES make me feel like I'm in a forest, and I get what they're going for, but with the low-touch customer service, it's not for me. I saw there's food options--weird spectrum from taquitos to filet mignon--that seem to be hit or miss as tapas options. They seem to have been around long enough to understand what customers want out of a lounge. It's a bummer because the space looks super fun, especially for special events. One upside is that it's open late, so there's that!!

Yelp
Took my mom here for her birthday back in October. We sat outside in the magical forest area, and she loved it! There's a stream running and trees all around. We had the loaded fries (amazing! And on happy hour special) with an amazing salad and cocktails. Our waiter was attentive, and as it got dark, the firepits were lit. Truly a special place!

Yelp
Forest Room 5 kinda defies definition. The decor is creative and creates this outdoorsy treehouse vibe, which is super cool. It also lends itself to a casual feel, because how fancy can you be in the middle of the woods? I've heard it described as a "dive bar," which I wouldn't disagree with, but how divey can you be while serving beautiful, pricey boards of charcuterie? As I said, the place defies definition. Usually I drink beer or simple mixed drinks here, but last night I had a cocktail and was pleasantly surprised. Again, another reason I wouldn't quite call Forest Room 5 a "dive bar." I ordered the Huckleberry Lynx ($10), which might be described as a Moscow mule with blueberry and sage. It was lovely and refreshing. The bartenders aren't particularly friendly, but they're just trying to keep the place running smoothly while dealing with drunk people who aren't ready to order. The East Coaster in me appreciates the efficiency, but others might find it off-putting. Don't take it personally...or do, recognize what you're doing wrong, and get your sh*t together. If grabbing a round for a group, collect IDs for every drink you plan to order. Someone mentioned it being too cold to sit outside. Probably true some nights, but worth noting they have fire pits out there. The cute, woodsy decor also extends to the outdoor space.

Yelp
Came here by recommendation of a few friends last night. The vibe of the bar was fun for sure, and one of our drinks (the boozy hot cocoa) was delicious and well made. Our other drink (it was a hibiscus one) was fine but served with way too much ice. Bacon cheese fries were decent. Good for a novel experience, but not sure I'd come back.

Yelp
What a unique bar. We came here simply on the fact that it looked cute on Yelp. I was shocked to see the bad reviews and almost wasn't sure whether I wanted to stop by simply because of that. I'm happy we took a chance because this place was so unique and something that I wouldn't find in LA. Walking in, you immediately feel like you've stepped into the forest. They have a stream of water, trees, it's dark, and feels oddly out of place from the rest of the city. The reason why I'm knocking down a star is because similar to the other reviews here, the service was slow. There were two people managing all the tables, and although they were fantastic, I gotta say, I wish the owners could staff this place more, especially after seeing the consistency of reviews here. Nevertheless, I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.

Yelp
This was an interesting location - we stopped here for a group gathering after work. It's quite the scenery, and maybe that's most of it. The service was decent, the drinks were mediocre, and the food was just something I'd probably get in my stomach because I was already sitting there starving. Outside of that, I'd probably skip most of this. It's probably more of a good area to hang out for a drink more than anything.

Yelp
What a weird experience. Came in there because we've heard great things, got a spot at the bar and waited 10 minutes before giving up and leaving. We watched the bartenders take shots together and serve everyone around us without even acknowledging we sat down. Tried to give the it a chance understanding it could be busy, but when I see no one at the bar without a drink other than us, we gave up and left. The vibe, experience and ambiance seemed really cool and exciting but I didn't get to fully experience it unfortunately.
google avatar

Yelp
ok this place was fun! the outdoor space was really the highlight, very eccentric and nice on a cool evening by the fire pits. had a cocktail and it was nice, nothing special but quick service and enjoyable experience. would return!
google avatar

Ainsley E.

Yelp
Sat outdoors at this wacky bar, people watching and looking at all the wild decor inside and out. The staff was pretty attentive given how busy it was, the people milling about, and multiple rounds of drinks. That said, service was slow compared to other bars. We didn't order food, but enjoyed our drinks. I imagine it would feel extra hectic during a busy time indoors (pandemic) but the outdoor ambiance was perfect for September in Denver. Drop in if you're in the mood for a cocktail and a very unique experience!

Yelp
The food was not worth the amount I paid for. My brother was not a fan of his burger after a few bites. Our cheese on our cheese fries app was hard and cold, thankfully my chicken sandwich was better so we basically split that. The drinks, do not recommend unless it's on tap. I love a BALANCED smoky wood drink but theirs was like drinking a water down over bearing wood in a cup. The server wasn't the best. He had acknowledged us when we sat down saying he will be back but when he did he served two others tables that sat after us and gave them their drinks before finally taking our order. You could tell he did not want to be there. Not to mention, the transaction was out of the ordinary for me. When I asked for the check he had just shoved the device in my face. He uncomfortably stood right next and watched me the entire time. I hate that because I feel in a rush. When I looked down at the device it was automatically on the tip portion. After, I realized I didn't get my receipt. I kindly asked for one. He Immediately shut me down and said "once it's closed we can't print out a receipt plus it had asked you how you wanted a receipt, rather that's text or printed" I had replied "I apologize but I didn't see that part and would like one because the prices didn't seem to add up." Waiters response was "let me go see if our manager can." After awhile we never saw him again so we went to the bar asking what happened, (I think he was hoping we would just leave) but the bartender said there was no one there that night that could help us. Angrily, We sat there price checking the menu with what we had order including tip but the prices still didn't add up and found it really weird that this place couldn't print out my receipt. While it wasn't a big difference it was still a difference and I have NEVER experienced a restaurant nor business who couldn't do that even after a tab has been closed. But the place is cutely decorated lol.

Yelp
The vibes are so cute! Food is very mid which is fine you're just looking for something for a regular day and it isn't a special dinner or anything. Service is better inside than outside since there is so much to navigate outside. I do highly recommend it if you wanna just chillax is a cute place, get some work done or read a book with a drink. Aesthetically all there -- other than that we didn't find anything super special about the food or drinks.

Yelp
I will never patronize this wack bar again. When we walked in, there was no one behind the bar so we stood around and then checked out the outdoor area (which was empty and lackluster). Came back in and there was still no bartender for another 3 minutes. Scanned the code for the menu and my partner asked what the house red wine was. Answer was, "it's a house red." Didn't know that was such a wild question. After my puzzled look, the bartender further said that it was a blend and he didn't know what was in it. Mind you, he said this in the most put upon voice imaginable. I opted to close out rather than start a tab after that pleasant exchange. He gave us our drinks and went on break after serving another party. I thought was being to hasty and looked to give the relief server a shot. Sadly, the second bartender never greeted us or asked if we wanted anything else. We left right after. In a unfortunate stroke, we crossed paths once again with bartender number one who spit to the right of the door as we exited, solidifying my disgust at his demeanor and for the establishment by extension. And on a final note, the decor is a bit uneasy. I get the stuffed animals, but the naked stank faced baby dolls does nothing more than remind you how bad your drinks are.

Yelp
Sunday evening pop in. The vibe, the service, and the back patio is worth the visit! We came in town from Texas and found this place off the beaten path downtown. The inside and back patio water feature and hidden sitting areas are eclectic. The earthy cocktail menu and share ales are a great pairing for a evening enjoying company and having fire side story telling. Would absolutely come back.

Yelp
What a unique experience... in a city of options this was a really enjoyable experience. Service was really good and the staff was really nice. Food was also surprisingly really good. Lots of quality vegetarian options and at a good price for the quality. Only average part of the experience was the cocktails, which were just ok. Seemed a little watered down with melty ice across several different cocktails.
google avatar

Rachel J.

Yelp
The ambiance was AMAZING and exactly what we were looking for. Such a great idea and well executed! The drinks were overly sweet and sour like a mix was used. The drink ideas were fun but didn't turn out great. We tried to order just a regular bar drink, not a cocktail from their menu, but they don't have any soda for mixers or even cherries/grenadine for them. The service was just ok. I walked in from the back to get another drink. I walked to an open end of a bar where an employee was standing behind the bar. He was talking to 2 patrons so I sat quietly waiting for him to ask what I wanted. He just looked at me then looked away and started to play trivial pursuit with the two guys. I got up and walked to the other bartender and she helped me right away. While she was making my drink the guy who ignored me walked over to make a drink for someone. I guess he just didn't want to make one for me. I hadn't even seen him before I came in so I'm not sure why he didn't like me. If he wasn't making drinks it would have been nice for him to tell me that. The bartender came to tell us the back was closing at 11, that's fine, it was getting cold and the fire pits were off so we move inside. At 11:30 they say it's last call. I look outside and there are people out back and now the fire pits are on. They made us leave at 12:00. It looked like they wanted us out so they could kick it with their friends. I really love the idea of this place but drinks and the weird service wasn't great.

Yelp
Good vibe. Enjoyed the drinks and food. The waitress was extremely busy but managed to check on us often. She deserves a raise. Go early to get an outdoor table. It is really nice to sit outside with friends and people watch. We had a lot of fun.

Yelp
Came in here with my 3 girl friends for drinks because the vibe seemed cool. I ordered a Spicy margarita and didn't get any spice. My 3 friends agreed so I took it back and nicely said I didn't taste any spice so I asked for a different drink instead. The drink was still 90% full. The bartender said "well it's habanero tequila so..." and I said "I didn't taste any spice" the hostess was nice and said "no worries we'll get you a different one". So I said "thank you, I appreciate it" kindly. Then she brought out another spicy margarita and she said the bartender made it extra spicy for me. It was the spiciest thing I ever tasted and my mouth is on fire and my lips are burning and have been in the 10 minutes since I tasted it. He really couldn't handle the fact that I didn't enjoy my drink and took a vendetta against me so for that reason I am giving a 1 star. Weird ass vibes.

Yelp
after my friends were rejected from the truffle table for no reason, this place put us straight back on the path to a great night. And a great night it was. They were playing a beautiful winter documentary in the bathroom and every time I went in there I couldn't help but burst out laughing some. Lots of nooks and crannies and books. Vending machine full of books. Water Stream runs thru the outside and fires for all the pyros and hypothermic people out there. It was a little weird because there were four people who looked Just like a certain fugitive on the run there.. and the waiter was Paul Bunyan amazing running the place busy as a beee. I got What Old Timers Call Cabin Fever drink and I felt like I was home with my family having a relaxing drink mid fall. Wow the ambience is unbeatable. The best part about this place is they respected my 25 year old friends rights to have a drink. We got some food and it was great. They have charcuterie here too yum and we got the skillet fries and i'm a vegetarian but I ate that bacon in there cuz it was in the dark so who cares. They did have a tendency to switch the lights around some but I didn't mind. We had a great time and will be back!!! Thanks Forest

Nicole S.

Yelp
Good spot for a summer night if you want to eat and drink outside. We were looking for a spot and we're drawn to the outdoor seating area. I liked my Watermelon on Mars cocktail as it was light and not too sweet. The Quinoa Salad was pretty good but the Portobello Mushroom Burger was my favorite. I read the other reviews about the off service but didn't experience this on the Thursday night I went. I'd recommend for a late night drink. If you sit outside, there is very little light and you may need your phone flashlight to navigate around and find a table. Overall, I liked the vibe and had a great time!

James J.

Yelp
Very elclectic and hip restaurant with a great waitress and talented bartender. You can eat outside at picnic tables or inside. Relatively close to the stadium.

Yelp
I stopped in on Friday for happy hour and snacks. We ordered a few drinks and a charcuterie board. The space does feel like a wilderness camp, which I love. I am all in! We sat inside because it was a bit chilly but walking through the outside area did feel like a glamping bar. We grabbed a couple seats at the bar. The place wasn't busy as it was still pretty early. Our drinks were well made and served up fast. Our charcuterie board was a little odd. It was a LOT of cheese, some salami a smear of jam and a little bit of bread. The proportions were way off and there wasn't enough bread to eat with the meat and cheese. I say it as a cheese lover so it hurts my heart.. too much cheese on the board and not enough carbs.. needed some crackers or crisps to go along with the bread. Some mustards would have been great too. Our bartenders were very sweet and quick when we could get their attention but they didn't seem to have much of a system for how to take orders. As the evening went on and the bar filled up, they didn't seem to work the bar in any type of order so some people waited a really long time to place an order and others who just walked up were served immediately. That could be an easy fix though and perhaps make their lives easier as well. I really liked the ambiance so I would go back to sit outdoors (with a parka) and give that a go and try one of those espresso drinks that looked so good too.

Yelp
This was a fun bar to visit! It was very busy but we were able to find a spot quickly. The server was really great, too! We didn't try food, unfortunately. We wanted to play games but they were either taken, or missing some pieces so that was a bummer. But we enjoyed our time anyway :)

Paul Q.

Yelp
Ambiance is great. Service has harmed the experience. The male bar tender with the long hair refused to split a check simply because we were all sitting at the same table. Been here a few times, and always had the same bar tender. Each time he's snarky and inattentive. Better staff will immediately improve this bar 10x

Yelp
The forest vibe is such a cool concept. When we visited, there were a bunch of bros being loud so I'd love to try this place again for a better experience. Drinks were good and service was helpful.
google avatar

FallonRaye S.

Yelp
This place is a huge NO for me. They take a really great concept and decide to make it the most confusing place in the world. They could benefit from some signage of where to go and where not to sit. Also, the drinks are shit. They are the equivalent of a cheap drink from View House. Just no thank you. No thank you at all.
google avatar

Regan F.

Yelp
This place is so cool, like a little oasis hidden in Denver. I only stayed for one drink, but the campfire drink with mezcal was so delicious, I'll be back for another.

Taylor V.

Yelp
We will never be coming back here and do not recommend. The worst service I have EVER received and I cannot believe this place is still in business. The bartender with the pigtail braids accosted us at our table and he should absolutely not be working in the service industry.

Maddy P.

Yelp
First time coming in, bar is really unique and customer service is great. Bartender Miguel was super attentive and friendly, we will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Definitely a different type of vibe! Very fun place to hang out and have a drink talk and had a very neat set up makes you feel like your at a camp ground! The food was ok, I got the chicken sandwich with a salad, the sandwich was ok but the salad was delicious we got a large charcuterie board, it was only ok, I won't get again. My son liked the skillet FF he liked those, and for dessert we got the skillet s'mores, which that was a hit! Service was a bit frustrating, not there fault, they were good but too busy for just the two of them. It was hard for them to keep up but they where definitely rippin and running. I would pop in again if I was in the area with out of town guests it is a different fun place however probably just get the s'mores and a drink.

Yelp
Loved the unique atmosphere and the service was good. On a busy Friday nigh we enjoyed several craft cocktails outside in the "forest". It was relaxing and enjoyable. We did not try the food, just cocktails.

Yelp
Very cute bar/restaurant. Great for bringing your dog child. Drinks are really refreshing. Very great place for a romantic date.

Yelp
I had a great time here! It was fun and unique. Some cool little books to hang out in and love the forest vibe. Would definitely be back.

Yelp
We found this neat little bar downtown CO via Tik Tok. We sat out by the fire pit and had a few drinks. What a great atmosphere. Definitely stop by if you are around!!

Yelp
Adrian was the rudest server I've ever encountered at any restaurant I've ever been to. Threw the bill at us after ignoring us for 30 minutes.
