My experience was amazing! We brought my son for his birthday and it was the best breakfast I've ever had. My favorite was the Braised Beef grits. It's a 10/10. The owner and staff were awesome! We will definitely be back soon.

Google
Great food and amazing customer service. Space is a little small. I think they’ve outgrown their spot (which in my opinion is a good problem). Cozy place. Best breakfast we ate while visiting Baton Rouge!

Google
Customer Service was great, orange juice was freshly squeezed. I had the Maple Melt it was delicious especially the maple cream cheese. The grits which had cheese, bacon and sausage were on point.

Google
This is the top rated breakfast/brunch spot in Baton Rouge for a reason!! It’s definitely worth a try. We’re in town for LSU family week and this place did not disappoint. I was initially skeptical due to the area but the food was so delicious. The reviews I read prior to going to the restaurant were indeed spot on. The food was flavorful and down right delicious!! The chef was accommodating and even impressed my son who’s a very picky eater. Trust and believe, the food is very affordable and reasonably priced. You will not be disappointed.

Google
I wanted to grab breakfast before going into work and I’m soooooooooo glad I picked this place. I got the braised beef grits to go and I’m sitting in my car eating it rn wondering how I have lived my life so long without this place. At first I was bummed because I didn’t ask for hot sauce packets to go, but lawddddd, you don’t need it. These are the best grits ever. The scrambled eggs are amazing. And the braised beef!!!! Yallll. No hot sauce needed. No nothing else needed. This is amazing. Now I see why there was a line and no seats inside, not even mad about that, I get it. Y’all are gooooood. And people know that and now so do I. Y’all come here now. So friggin good. Oh and the white chocolate iced coffee is fab too:)

Google
Keith Lee was right again! We went to eat today and tried several dishes. Mine were the cheese grits with two eggs and beef on top. My sister ordered a hasbrown bowl with egg on top and my niece ordered their steak sandwich with fruit and one of the best cold brew coffees ever! Highly recommend because these two sisters are offering great food, great service and extremely affordable prices! (Sam, one of the owners is also pictured below along with the full menu and pics of our food!)

Fork N Spoon, 1750 Brightside Dr Suite F, Baton Rouge, LA 70820 Hey, I heard @keith_lee125 was in Baton Rouge last year, so I had to check out this place. The food was amazing, so comforting! It's super small, but the flavors are HUGE! 1. Berries N Cream French Toast ($9): 2 pieces of French toast, maple cream cheese, berry reduction & berries. 2. Maple Melt ($10): Toast, double cheddar, sausage, bacon (SO GOOD!) 3. Classic Bowl X Fork'n Favorite: Bacon, sausage & cheesy scramble. #tonylameats #batonrougela #forknspoonbr #breakfast #brunch #foodie #foodadventure

Google
Only ever get the grits bowl and am always so happy with it. The person at the cash-wrap is literal sunshine personified and seems to genuinely enjoy each customer. I enjoy our exchanges so much I’ve forgotten to ask their name three times now:\ Hope everyone who works there has an amazing day<3

Yelp
The prices are low. The French toast sandwich is amazing! You can't eat it with your hands because of the powdered sugar. The caramel cold brew was also delicious, I wish I had ordered a large. This place has friendly staff. Don't expect a fancy interior though.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food. Great staff. One of my favorite quick breakfast food options. I hope they expand one day because there's not much seating inside.

Yelp
Oh my goodness I did not expect for this small little place to pack such an amazing punch of flavor! Please please do yourself a favor and try this place! The people are great, the food is amazing and it's cozy. Support your local businesses, this one is worth it!

Yelp
The food at Fork and Spoon was truly delicious--especially the Classic Bowl, which was creamy, well-seasoned, and deeply satisfying. The staff were kind, and I appreciated the effort in a very busy setting. However, the space was extremely tight, and as someone in a wheelchair, I found it difficult to move without feeling like I was disrupting the flow of the room. While I recognize my circumstances, I also value comfort and ease during a dining experience. For that reason, despite the great flavors, I'm not sure I would return. I hope to see them grow into a larger space one day--they deserve it.

Yelp
WOW! We finally made it to get brunch from fork n spoon and I wish we had done it sooner. There was a ton of people sitting inside so we opted for take out! It was very quick and the workers were friendly. We got the berries n cream French toast, country bowl with hashbrowns and add cheese, and a side of the loaded grits. Everything was SO good. The French toast was the perfect level of sweetness and tasted great. The country bowl was seasoned super well and the gravy on top was amazing. My favorite was the loaded grits. Definitely the best grits I've ever had! You get a lot of food so even later in the day when we reheated the food to finish, it was all still good. We will definitely be coming back and I can't wait to try more things!

Yelp
On today's foodie adventure I tried out the #keithlee reviewed @forknspoonbr! It's only open a few hours starting at 7a-2p and had about 6-8 tables I think. Get there early bc they will have a steady stream of customers but mainly to go orders. We arrived about 10am and were served timely and the staff was great. The coffee is on the house with an order, thank you! The staff is very courteous and engaging while you wait but that's good ole southern hospitality as well : Fork n Spoon - Brightside Dr Baton Rouge, La : Braised Beef Grits The food was seasoned well and is shareable portion wise. I wasn't able to finish a quarter of it but enjoyed each bite. It was a bit warm inside of the restaurant which was not as comfortable as I would've liked but the food was the main star of the show for sure. #travel #foodie #foodreviews #instadaily #foodie #solotravel #braisedbeef #Grits #coffee #friends #Louisiana #batonrouge #batonrougelouisiana #batonrougefoodies #blogger #browngirlbloggers #brownskingirls #travelgram #traveling #travelingtheworld #enjoyinglife #livinglife #freedom #southerngal #southernhospitality

Yelp
Fork N spoon is a quaint Café with excellent customer service and delicious food. I went for breakfast. The vibe was peaceful, and the lemonade was homemade... W00t!!!! I was a little doubtful when I drove up, but after my first sip of the Rose Palmer and my first bite of loaded hashbrowns I was sold. Run don't walk to this restaurant!

Yelp
amazingly amazing! food is delicious and flavorful and the portions are great for the price. i love their white chocolate cold brew. the lady that owns this is a new mom and was hustling with your baby strapped--very impressive. i hope to see them expand or upgrade to larger space!

Yelp
Went for the grits, well worth it!!! So good. The gal said they were out but made it happen! Service was great!

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast not knowing what to expect. Or experience was awesome! The people were very friendly and cheerful! The food was excellent, and free coffee as well! If you are nearby you should definitely give it a try!! Come in, grab a menu, order at the counter and wait for your order to appear with a smile!

Yelp
First stop on my weekend getaway was to Fork N spoon. My cousin raves about this place and she did not disappoint. The grits are cheesy and creamy (as they should be). I'm a southern girlie that likes savory grits only! The eggs were scrambled to perfection. The hash browns were flavored and sautéed with onion and peppers and oh so good. Highly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch.
google avatar

Yelp
I had the opportunity to try this cozy spot yesterday and was happy to have had a great experience. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Can't beat free coffee refills! I had the grits bowl with braised beef and jalapeños and I nearly ate every bite even though my body was letting me know to slow down. The place was welcoming and clean. I'll definitely be back. Keep up the great work.

Yelp
The service was fantastic & the food was even better! The atmosphere was light & very nice... the cashier was super friendly & welcoming. Will definitely be coming back when I'm in Baton Rouge

Yelp
I don't know where to start! I should have known that the place was going to be great. They were so busy that could not pick up the phone to take pick up order. I was moving my Daughter into her new place ahead of her fall semester at LSU! Go Tigers! As a Dam Yankee, I don't know grits from gravy! Let's talk grits, their grits are so good you will have a religious experience. You may even feel as though your life is now complete and you can pass to the other side. Don't do that, then would not be able to try the breakfast bowls or and things they have to offer. The young ladies behind the counter are friendly efficient and will greet you like an old friend. Go now don't wait. Tell them the Grumpy sent you.

Yelp
I like to pick brunch places just to see what I'll find. This is a small place in a little strip of shops so really didn't look like much on the outside but the inside is really quaint, cute place. The staff are all super nice & friendly. I had the Banana Berry French toast (berry reduction on the side) & it was really yummy. I had a side of bacon which was the perfect taste & texture. If I'm ever in the area again I'll come back. Or if y'all open one in south Florida I'll try it there lol.

Yelp
New fave breakfast spot in BR! We have been disappointed in several breakfast spots around this city, so it is with great pleasure that we finally tried Fork N Spoon! The breakfast burrito was stuffed with fluffy eggs and yummy bacon, and the side sausage patties were great. The hash browns and grits were tasty as well. The portions were generous and the prices are reasonable. I'm sure we will be back when we crave good breakfast again!
google avatar

Alissa A.

Yelp
This place is still the best, I've been back here at least 5 more times since my first review. I don't get take out often, and never go out for breakfast, so that says a lot about this place! The breakfast burrito and bowls are still great for take out or dine-in. I dined in once, it was closer to noon on a Sunday, so it wasn't too packed, and finally tried the Berries N Cream French Toast. It was absolutely AMAZING when I dined in, It was just LOADED with fruit that morning, I was in heaven. I don't usually care for sweets and creams for my first meal of the day, I usually prefer more of a protein packed breakfast. But the french toast was so refreshing! Not overly sugary or sweet at all. Perfect balance of fresh and sweet. Got it today for take-out with powdered sugar added, and it's just as delicious. I notice I didn't comment on prices last time, usually this is why I don't get take-out, I don't often feel I'm getting my money's worth at places, but here the food is always well worth the price. Clearly always fresh ingredients, the food is always cooked and prepared perfectly with attention to detail, and the portions are great. Waitresses are always very polite, kind, and friendly. Very welcoming environment!

Yelp
Great restaurant to start off! I eat out everyday so I judge fairly and the food was amazing! They are a local spot doing it right! So for the ambiance, it's a very small restaurant with 7-8 tables available total! It gets very busy here and because it's so small expect a 20-25 minute wait for your food! Also expect the dine in area to be full! Best for take out in my opinion unless you get here early! The food itself though is incredible! I got the Classic Bowl with gravy and The maple bacon half order of toast! The wait was worth the time because you can tell this food was made with love and not rushed! Each and every bite tasted as if the cooks in the back put thought into it, to make sure all the proportions were equal! The breakfast bowl was huge! Overall I got a bowl, side of toast and coffee and my total was only $24. Really a crazy deal for the amount and quality of food you get! I would say this is a hidden gem but thanks to Keith Lee it's not so hidden anymore lol!

Yelp
My experience was really good walking in felt like I was walking into my own house I had gotten the country bowl and the avocado toast w egg on top and it was amazing it felt like they cooked it with love and it taste like it in the food
google avatar

Alicia B.

Yelp
Tried two different types of French toast. The one without the banana was better to me. The bacon was cooked hard like I like and had a cold cup of milk.
google avatar

Nelly S.

Yelp
Food is delicious (we had the veggie club, club, and French toast) but the space is rather small. Make sure you come early, otherwise you'll have a long wait. Will be back (hopefully earlier this time)!
google avatar

Yelp
In town for LSU graduation and stumbled upon this on Yelp. 10/10 for service and food.

Yelp
The grits were amazing! We stopped in while picking our daughter up from college. It's a small location, so if seating isn't available It's worth ordering something to go. Definitely will visit again when we come back in the Fall.

Yelp

Yelp
So a friend invited me to brunch after class. I'd heard of Fork n Spoon and seen it a couple times but never got the chance to stop, or had already eaten. Let me tell you, this is my new local breakfast spot. In the same plaza as Inga's Subs and Salads, this place is a breath of fresh air. Light, airy, bright and the food? Oh the food is bussin! It feels like a diner with the vibe and coziness of a café/bistreaux. I ordered the classic bowl without the cheesy scramble (y'all know I don't eat eggs. At this point, it's a character trait. Sorry ‍) a side of toast and smoked sausage, with hand squeezed fresh orange juice. This was a huge serving. Super delicious, and I didn't have to add any extra seasoning. The folks at Fork n Spoon did their thing with this. I figured I'd take some home and eat a little later. Ummm no. That definitely didn't happen. I was literally sopping up the rest of the grits with the crust from the toast. It was THAT good. There's plenty of parking. The service is friendly and quick. They are open T-F from 7 a.m.-2 p.m., then Sat from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., so if you're reading this early, go now! The breakfast and lunch is worth it.

Yelp
Little place in College Town that is delicious! Saw it featured in 225 magazine and had to try it. We got the Maple Melt and Avocado Toast. Divine! Staff is very friendly. Parking lot is SUPER SMALL as well as the restaurant itself, but is a fantastic brunch place.

Kelli L.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Had the grits, which were cooked perfectly. Be sure to get there early on Saturday before they run out.
google avatar

Chief S.

Yelp
The French toast and bacon was good. The loaded grits had a fantastic flavor, however they were runny and not thick like grits are expected to be.

Lorie S.

Yelp
Great food. Glad we found it! Try the grits! They are truly a dream. Girl's behind the counter were amazing and patient!
google avatar

Kayla G.

Yelp
Fork n Spoon has been on my list of places to try, and they did not disappoint. Unfortunately I couldn't dine in so I placed an online order. The customer service was great. My server made sure I had everything available for order. The French toast was a solid 8/10. It wasn't overly sweet which I enjoyed. It was soft but had a crispy bottom. Highly recommend. The bacon was bacon lol. It wasn't extremely crispy but a healthy balance between soft and crispy. Definitely will return for a full breakfast experience!!
google avatar

Yelp
Fork and spoon has officially become one of my favorite brunch places in the city. I got a sandwich with spinach, eggs, cheddar and tomatoes, and it was so good! With a sandwhich, I ordered a side of hashbrowns, which we cut up tomatoes that were roasted really well. I added garlic, aïoli, and a chipotle like ranch that really added more flavor to the sandwich. I also got the floral sweet tea which is kind of like a rose water mix with tea. the drink was super refreshing and it got me wanting to go back for more sips. This place is super low-key and just overall really comfy and cute. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a easy brunch that's not gonna break the bank! The service here was also super friendly and quick.

Yelp
I visited this place a year ago and it was amazing! These young ladies can cook!!! #IYKYK

Everett C.

Yelp
Review disclaimer: I have not eaten here. I wanted to because I've heard GREAT things. However, with all the good things I've heard about the food, no one mentioned that the place was the size of a walk-in closet. Went at 10:30am on a Saturday and there was no seat anywhere and no order to the way the place was run. If they get a bigger place and some solid management, I might try again.

Rachael B.

Yelp
Walked in and was taken aback. The cafe was cozy with a simple but pleasing decor. Water and coffee are self served with a variety of glass mugs for the choosing. The sweet hostess took good care of us. We ordered French toast, the maple melt, and the steak bowl. We all enjoyed our meals!
google avatar

Keli V.

Yelp
Went to check out the Keith Lee approved breakfast spot and I was a little disappointed. I had the classic grit bowl and slice of French toast and I wish it showed on the menu that the sausage was spicy cause not everyone likes spice like that. I probably had 3 bites of that so that was a waist of money for me but the French toast was good. So if I did decide to go back next time I'm in town for work I'd get the French toast and eggs. Staff is super friendly as well and love that the coffee is free.

Yelp
What can we say!!!!! We absolutely love it here when we get an opportunity to come and dine in... The Sisters are awesome and just great... love the atmosphere and the ambience they provide....

Yelp
My wife treated me to breakfast this morning. The inside was lovely. Our waiter was very kind and the food was good. Will be back soon to try the stuff burrito.

Patience J.

Yelp
This was a little hidden gem. I had the veggie bowl half grits/half potatoes and add the braised beef. One of the most flavorful breakfasts I have had in a while. We come to Baton Rouge every summer and I will be back for that bowl. The staff were very friendly and helpful. 10/10.

Yelp
I wanted to wait until my second visit before my review but honestly nothing had changed-- this place is just that good. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. Classic mom & pop vibe as well as extremely clean. The owner and her family are so kind (I can't stress this enough). During both visits, she has been more than willing to walk me through the menu and gave me recommendations based on the mood I was in. It's a small place so it does get packed quickly on peak days. They offer complimentary water and Community coffee for all guests! But trust me when I saw that their cold brew is one of the best I've had to date. I was skeptical because I am a coffee addict and was worried about the flavor but WOAH! Perfect balance between strong coffee flavor, right amount of sweetness, & cream. I added vanilla and caramel flavoring but I bet it's good by itself. GET THIS! On to the food: The photos are a mix between both visits but I was pleased with everything I ordered. The breakfast bagel really sold me when they told me it has garlic aioli on it ugh yes!!! Everything taste homemade & made with love. For example... the eggs!!! I am also a egg fanatic when not obsessing over coffee and I was shocked that I didn't even look to add any salt or pepper to my eggs...you can eat it right away because they already come with seasoning/flavor (NOT season all, actually seasoned properly) I have fallen so deeply in love with this place. Give them a try at least once please!

Sally W.

Yelp
Service was excellent and food was delicious! Just what the body needed. Loaded veggie scramble. Iced tea was tasty too. Can only imagine how packed it would be on a Saturday. Quaint atmosphere. Glad my husband found it before we headed out of town.

Patti B.

Yelp
Found this place when searching for breakfast places along I10. Small breakfast/lunch place catering to LSU student population. 8 tables for 16 people. Order at counter, they bring to table. Ordered eggs with bacon and French toast. Food was good and service was quick. Good coffee too, which was complimentary. If I was ready to stop for breakfast while traveling from TX to FL, I would come again. Don't be deceived by the small restaurant. Food is good!! Parking can be a challenge...we waited for a spot.
google avatar

Knighten M.

Yelp
Been coming to this cozy little breakfast joint for a few years now and am never disappointed. Great service and exceptional food. Would recommend to anyone for a good breakfast spot as well as lunch.
google avatar

Brandon A.

Yelp
Food was good service was great, only drawback was the super small eating area. Sits maybe 6-8 total people in the restaurant. I did see a lot of take away orders so I guess that helps with the small area. Over all would absolutely come back!!

Paul G.

Yelp
Food and service were excellent. Many great options to choose from. I would definitely recommend it.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
The ambiance is wonderful the location is small but that's not a bad thing. It makes it more of a comfortable place to be. It encourages guests to become acquainted which is pretty cool. It's not often you go to a restaurant and make new friends as we dote over the food. The food is the definition of home cooked happiness. The menu stays consistent while also having lots of random and creative ideas. What can I say about the service other than it is definitely one unique to the space. They have a wonderful since of humor and pride while also maintaining professionalism. It's the best place to bring anyone one you love and want to have them feel welcomed. The music is good too turn it up! I don't just recommend this spot, I insist upon it! -JD

Yelp
First, let me say how helpful and kind the ladies working here are. I'd come back just because of that. Now, onto the food...my husband got the steak and eggs with grits and the best fresh orange juice he's ever had. He loved it all. The steak was cooked perfectly, his eggs were perfection and the grits can't be beat. We also had the plain buttered toast because it looked so good and it was. I wish it would've been cooked a little lighter and would've been brought out while it was hot, but either way, still very good. We also tried the maple bacon berry toast...phenomenal! Finally, I got the country bowl and added cheese to my eggs. It was very good and flavorful. However, the grits are so good they really just deserve to be eaten alone. It's a super cute little spot with limited seating, but very welcoming. We can't wait to come back and try other things.
